Recent reports have shown steep decrease in commercial clinical trials in the UK. I will talk about why clinical trials are important and some of the main issues at the moment: Brexit, COVID-19, Venture Capital, regulatory delays, hospital resource issues and NICE decisions on standard of care affecting clinical trials.
