This has been a very busy week for WWE, but this week has now come to an end. It is Friday, which means that this is your Friday Night SmackDown review here on the Salom Monster Soundsop Channel. I'm the Salom Monster. Unfortunately, you know, I like hearing about mass cuts. Been a while since we've had a week where we had a wave of WWE talent releases. The word was that only employees would be cut post merger, now that the Endeavor deal has closed, and over a hundred employees lost their jobs

last week. But when you have a company and Endeavor that is talking about slashing fifty to one hundred million dollars in costs for WWE, you know employees are not the only ones who were going to be cut. And unfortunately, this week there were as far as we know, in excess of two dozen talent releases all across the board, both from the main roster, NXT, the Performance Center, people who have not yet even appeared on television, and

a lot of names that will get into on the podcast this weekend. One name in particular, though in some breaking news late in the afternoon today, was a former WWE United States Champion who has been a pretty prominent name on television now for quite some time. But I can't say that it was a surprising release, and we are going to talk about that here in a little

bit. But as far as Tonight's SmackDown show is concerned, the show closed with an angle where Jimmy Usso and Solo Sakoa laid out John Cena and they took out AJ Styles. We were supposed to get a contract signing for a tag team matchup fast Lane coming up on October seventh, for a match where AJ and Sina would team up to take on the Bloodline, and they took out AJ Styles in the back before the contract signing segment could begin, he

was carted out in an ambulance. John Cena came down, he got laid out, and this segment clearly they ran short, because they dragged this segment out to the point where you would expect that somebody would come out to make the save. There would be some bit, you know, someone's music would hit, there'd be some big running at the end of the show to save

Sina, and that did not happen, which was kind of odd. Just that's the way that everything just feel like it was being dragged out, and now we know why that is because Sean Ross sap over Unfightful is reporting that there was a certain someone who was supposed to be part of that segment at the end of the show tonight, probably the man who was going to run out and make the save, and that man was La Night. But he was very conspicuous by his absence. There was no La Night on the show

tonight, which was kind of strange, and now we know why. The first report was that he was pulled from the show late in the day due to a medical issue of some time. Now I hear medical issue, La Night or I'm thinking, oh God, here we go, right, this guy's finally getting a big push. He's getting put in a big spot. What does this mean? Is that an injury? Is that an illness?

To mean that could be anything. The latest report though, is that, according to WWE and people close to La Night late in the day today at the building, he tested positive for COVID and they sent him home. Obviously they didn't want him in the building at that point, so he left. He was to have had a big role in that segment that closed out the show tonight. I don't know how late in the day this all went down.

It sounds to me like it was a pretty late development, and so it could just very well be a case where, Okay, they didn't really have time to come up with a plan B, and they're hopeful that he'll still be able to be in that spot at the pay per pay per view still a few weeks away, so they simply decided to lay out John Cena, They're going to stretch this out for at least another week. Best wishes to night, because you know, hopefully it's not a situation where it ends

up being a serious case. Who knows when he'll be back. I mean, you could say he'll be back on TV next week. We don't know that. We don't know that they're not going to let him back in to the building until he is testing negative. So he may be back on SmackDown next week, he may not be back for a few weeks. We don't know. My hope though, is that it ends up being nothing serious and he's back in time to keep that spot, because it would be really shitty

if they decided to go in a different direction just because of this. I don't know that there is a plan B. Although the fans in the building tonight thought that plan A was Cody. You could hear them channing for Cody, and I thought for a minute there while, are we gonna find out finally what the other half of that trade was, what the trade compensation was

for jay Usso is this how you get Cody back on SmackDown? They could always do that, but I would hate to find out that because of this, if this drags out for a while, that he would lose what would really be, you know, one of the biggest spots of his entire careers. So for those wondering what that was about at the end of the show, it sounds like that is the case that the La Night is a scheduled to be John cenas partner at fast Laneum. With any luck, that will

still hopefully be the case. We had on this show that they build also as a dream match for the WWE Women's Championship between EO. Sky and Oscar for the first time ever one on one here on WWE Television. We got twenty minutes across three segments. They gave these women three segments on this show. How often does that happen? And they went out there and they had a very good match. I was worried that we were not going to get a finish. It was going to be a disqualification or a no contest.

We got a finish. Now, it was not without some controversy because Charlotte Flair had to be at ringside for this match because of course, and she kind of sort of played into the finish. We got, you know, a relatively clean finish to the match and not some sort of fuck finish. So I was happy about that, and that really was the highlight of the

show. The rest of the show is just kind of there. They did an angle involving Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits that we're going to get into, amongst some of the other things that happened, but we will talk about it all again. This is your SmackDown review for September twenty second, two thou twenty three. That day, September twenty second always stands out to me

because it was September twenty second of nineteen ninety seven. Then Monday night, Row for the very first time Row's War came to Madison Square Guarden, and I will never forget that night. That, of course, was the night that Vince McMahon ate a stone Cold Stunner for the very first time, and Cactus Jack made his WWF debut. We got Cactus Jack making his first appearance. He took on triple age. So that September twenty second date has always

burned into my brain. It's hard to believe that it's been what is that twenty six years now, I guess since that first raw at MSG Now. I didn't mention at the top here that we got some news before we get into the review itself. This was late news that broke only a few hours before SmackDown tonight. I said, it's been a very busy week in www Unfortunately over two dozen talents cut lost their jobs this week. Gonna be a very long sound off, probably on Sunday, because I'll have a lot to

say about the different talents. And there was also news this week about at WWE coming to Australia for the Elimination Chamber next year. We know where SmackDown is going. SmackDown is going to have a new home a year from now and it will not be on Fox, hence a new home, so there'll be plenty of news to get into. But late this afternoon we got word that Matt Riddle was fired. Matt Riddle has been released from WWE, and he will be under the same non compete that pretty much everybody is that was

cut three months ninety days. Matt Riddle will be a free agent. He'll be free to go and work wherever he pleases. And I am sure that there will be no shortage of places from Matt Riddle to work because Matt Riddle is a very talented guy. Unfortunately for Matt Riddle, he is also his own worst enemy, and he really has nobody to blame for what happened today but Matt Riddle. But I made the prediction on the podcast in January. You know, we do the annual prediction show every year. You heard the

clip there. I played it at the beginning of the stream and I said that before this year is over, I predict sometime here in twenty twenty three, before this year is over, Matt Riddle will no longer be in WWE. Matt Riddle will be gone due to his various personal issues. Thank you in shoo Shogo, thank you and shoosh thank you and share you Goo Brian musha Hey with that twelve dollars, thank you, super Chat it's one of the new ones. Hey, Brian, thank you, And so here we

are now it is in what we're in September. We have a few months left in this year, and sure enough, Matt Riddle is no longer in wwweight. So this was one of the least surprising cuts of all of them, because this is one that was easy to call for me anyway, it was easy to call as far back as the beginning of the year. And I want you to think about this also. We are in the month of

September right now. It was almost a year ago to the day at Extreme Rules that Matt Riddle headline that pay per view and beat Seth Rollins, the man who is currently the world heavyweight champion on Monday Night Row And now fast forward one year, Matt Riddle is unemployed, which just goes to show you a lot can happen, a lot can change in the course of a year, from the penthouse to the outhouse. Just like that. Matt Riddle is on top of the world one day and he's at the bottom of the barrel

the next. And it's a sad situation, to be perfectly honest with you, because it didn't have to be this way, but this was the report from pw Insider. Mike Johnson had the update a little bit earlier on He said, WWE has released Matt Riddle. PW Insider has confirmed. We are told the release took place around five thirty PM this evening, so it was pretty late in the day, not long before. SmackDown said. Riddle has been off TV the last several weeks with what talents were told was a medical

issue. Yeah. Dave Meltzer mentioned this too. Meltzer said that Riddle had a double ear infection and he had bronchitis. And immediately my bullshit detector began going off as soon as I heard that. It just so happened that this came. This bronchitis and double ear infection came in the aftermath of the incident at JFK Airport, where Riddle initially claimed that he was sexually assaulted by one of the agents there, one of the TSA or maybe it was the Port

Authority police officers. One of the officers, I guess groped him or fondled him. He didn't get into specifics, but he posted a picture of the officer on his social media and he made this claim and then I don't even know if it was up for a full hour before he thought better of it and he deleted it. He took the post down and there was no mention of any kind of assault to get after that, and instead he put another post up saying glad I don't have to come back to New York City again.

And then the details from TMZ and other websites began to filter in about there being a report of a belligerent passenger on a plane back from I guess they were coming back from India. They did that Superstar spectacle show in India. It turned out that Matt Riddle was I guess a little under the influence of something, whether it was alcohol or something else. It sounded like alcohol,

but whatever it was, he was getting into some trouble. But you know, everybody thought, Okay, it's been resolved, it's worked out. And then nobody was more surprised than the officers there when they heard about this alleged assault that took place. But they took it seriously and said that they were going to investigate. Wwe supposedly was investigating themselves. But once you heard the report about Riddle his behavior and people complaining about his behavior and then all

of a sudden, he comes out of nowhere with this claim. Things began

to kind of fall into place. You could kind of see what was going on here, and it's really a sad situation because here's a man who had sexual assault claims levied against him by at least one person, maybe multiple people, but at least one person, a former independent wrestler in the past, which he denied, and here he is probably pulling something out of thin air because he himself was not in the right frame of mind, or he himself

thought, well, these details are gonna come out. It's gonna paint me into bed light, so I'll just throw some I'll just throw some gas on the fire. Here myself probably pulling it out of his ass, but it's pretty serious shit to accuse somebody up before he pulled that ship down real quick, and that was when I said, this is it for this guy. This is going to be the straw that breaks the camel's back. And he

pulls this stunt days before the endeavor deal closes. So WWE now is under new management, WWE is under new ownership, and this was all over the news. This made national headlines and I said, what a dummy to put himself in a position like this days before the new owners take over. It's not going to end well for Matt Riddle, and here we are. He never appeared on television again, and now he no longer works for this company.

Fightful Select is reporting that Riddle has not been backstage or on the road with WWWE since he was pulled from weekend events and the September eleventh episode of Monday Night Raw. Fightful claims that Riddle was not planned for a return at all and was not part of WWE's creative plans following the incident, despite the fact that he was in the middle of a storyline that had seen him teaming up with Drew McIntyre, and says one source cited Riddle as having quote burned

through too many chances while in WWWE. You don't say I want to put up the tweet that Riddle himself posted. Actually he put this on all of his social media, but this was directly from Matt Riddle himself. So just wanted to inform everyone that I am no longer with www Thank you for the memories and opportunities. Also, thank you to all the fans for the support and the love that you give me every time I go out to the ring.

You all sue, here's a guy who was tearing it up on the Independency and I saw his work and evolved in all of these different promotions. And I mean I talked about this at the time on the podcast. I was sending this guy's praises him talking about WWE would be foolish not to pick him up. And this would have been around the time that ADW was first born, and I think I was even saying, if WWE doesn't get him AW should I think actually he may have been signed a few months before AW

really got going, so they snatched him up first. And I thought, this guy has the potential to be a future world champion. He's got all the tools. He had a great look. He looked like a like a Von Eric. He looked like something at a world class from the eighties. And he could go in the ring. You know, he had the fight background. He didn't mixed martial arts before he worked for UFC. Dana White candemn. Dana White hates him. Dana White thinks he's just a fucking moron.

But he had something there. There was money, to be made in Matt Riddles. So he had his run in NXT and then on the main roster he struck gold with Randy Orton and the whole RKA brow thing. And that's the sort of thing you can't plan for. It just sort of organically takes off on its own, and the team of him and Randy Orton became one of the hot acts on Monday Night Raw. I mean they really did. They became one of the top acts on the entire show. Look,

everyone, it's Samoa Bro. The bass beeris thank you. Always good to hear from Samoa Bro here on these streams. So RK Bro took off. They're selling merch, they won the tag team titles, and he is in a prime position in this company. And they still even then thought, okay, there's still singles potential in Matt Riddle. This guy could be a world

champion one day if he keeps his head on straight. But there just seemed to be controversy following him everywhere he went and on social media he would say certain things. Other people would come out of the woodwork on social media ex. Girlfriends and porn stars and all kinds of people accusing him of some salacious shit, whether or not you want to believe all of the stuff, all of the allegations against him, but there were plenty of him from plenty of

different people. Stuff about his family, his wife, who I think he's either divorced or strange, from his kids that apparently he doesn't see. I don't need to get into his personal business with his family, but he's been through a lot of personal shit that has been ripped open for the entire world

to see. So there was always something going on on social media. And this is to say nothing of the times he put his foot in his mouth with Roman Reigns when he went and said that he could beat Roman Reigns in a real fight, and I know that pissed a lot of people off behind the scenes. Yeah, obviously he made comments about Brock Lesner because he wanted to work a match with Brock, who flat out told him, I will never work with you. I will never work a match or a program with

you. So Brock didn't want to have anything to do with him. Goldberg right, the comments he made about Goldberg that they just seemed to always be some sort of controversy following this guy around. And I don't even fault him necessarily for trying to get something going as far as you know, work at a program with somebody. I mean, that's, you know whatever. I could see him getting heat with the wrong people for doing that. Putting his foot in his mouth, I mean, that's I could see that easily.

It's probably not hard to get hid in wrestling. But that is just minor stuff compared to some of the other controversies that he's been involved in. Last year, he disappeared, They did the angle to write him off television with Solo SKOA, and he disappeared for a few months because he was supposedly in rehab. I don't remember if it was drug rehab or alcohol rehab. I think it was drug rehab. But supposedly he ended up in rehab. Then

he came back. Evidently he's back off the wagon if these reports of him at the airport are to be believed. But again, there was a lawsuit, you know, about sexual assault allegation. The lawsuit was later dropped. This guy was his own worst energy. All of those issues in his personal life, it's spilled over onto social media and that reflects on WWE because whenever he gets into trouble whenever somebody levies some sort of allegation against him, the

headlines are always WWE Superstar Matt Ridley. So for those of you who say, well, his personal life is his personal life and his professional life is his professional life. In a perfect world, it would work that way, but guess what. Life doesn't work that way, not when you're a public figure like he is. He's a celebrity. This ship follows him around, and whatever follows him around, that stinkwashes off on WWE. It was only

a matter of time. I'm surprised they kept him this long and then cut bade a lot sooner, but they probably saw, look, we want this to work. This guy has talent, he's over the people like him. We're gonna give him another chance. He had chance after chance after chance. This just happened to be the last one. But as soon as that whole incident took place, and it was days before the Endeavor deal, I said, this guy's days are number. That prediction I made at the beginning of

the year is going to come true, and here we are. It's not surprising to me at all. And he has all the talent in the world. That's what's frustrating about it. So if he could ever get his head on straight, he still has the potential to have great success and do really well. He lands on his feet somewhere else if you don't think that, there won't be another promotion that wants to give him a chance and thinks that

they can't make money with him and sell tickets with him. And of course when his non compete is up, he'll be everywhere unless one promotion like aw if Tony Kahn snatches him up. I don't know how much interest Tony Khann will have in him, you know, given all the different controversies that seemed to follow this guy around. But if nothing else, he'll do very well for himself. On the independence, he could do anything he wants. He

wants to go to Pan Matt Riddle will not have difficulty finding work. But this relationship with him in WWE, it was never gonna last. It was gonna be If it wasn't this, it was gonna be something else in a couple of months, and it would have blown up in his face. He has nobody to blame for this but himself. And I look at him now and I see a lot of wasted potential. And that's too bad. But this was inevitable as of a few weeks ago. It was just a matter

of time. So you can add Matt Riddle to the list of names now no longer working for WWE. Unfortunately it's a long list after this week. But this one I would put in the in the category of one of the least surprising of all the releases. And again, if he wants to know why, and if he has an issue, you know this is not fair. Just look in the mirror, bro, that's it. I mean, he caused it. It sucks. It's too bad that it happened. And

who's to say that one day he won't get a second chance. A lot of people end up leaving WWE, are getting fired, and then eventually they come back. We may not have seen the end of Matt riddlen WWE, but for the time being, we've seen the end of Matt Riddle in WWI. There will be no There will be no final bow taken by r K Brow if and when Randy ort It never comes back. And the storyline that Drew McIntyre was involved in, Drew McIntyre doesn't need Matt Riddle. Drew McIntyre

the last thing Drew McIntyre needed was to be thrown in. There is sort of a bootleg version of r K Brow. He's gonna end up working a program with Cody and probably going heel. That's my prediction on that front. I mean, working with Cody, it seems pretty obvious. But I think the heel Turney's coming. He doesn't need. He doesn't need Matt Riddle to bring him down if he's involved in some sort of tag team program and then something happens and guess what, he no longer has a tag team partner.

Yeah, he doesn't have to deal with that either. Now let's talk about this SmackDown show here, because there this was a newsworthy show as far as some of the angles that they ran, mainly the key angle. But John Cena was back on the show. Now WWE has John Cena for a little while longer. They have him at least through the Saudi Arabia show, which I think is November fourth. They're going back to Riodd and I believe Sena is going to be on that show. Originally he was going to be back

through the end of October. I think that's the end date for him on SmackDown, but I believe he is working the Saudi show after that. I don't know how many appearances, if any, he's gonna make. I don't know if he'll have a match of WrestleMania next year. I think also a lot of it depends on, you know, when and if this Hollywood strike comes to an end. But that's why we have him back on TV for now. So he was on SmackDown. He came out to open the show

and he gave praise to the crowd, said that tonight was special. He's been able to do a lot of things since he's come back. He's been a host, he's been a backstage correspondent. But that's not what he came back to WWE for. He says he came back for a fight. He wants to get in the ring and fighting tonight. He wants to have a match, which of course the entire crab was very happy about that. He asked the Craft for their permission. He asked him if tonight is a good

night to have a match, and they cheered. And I have to say, because I don't think he worked the Dark Match, or maybe he did, I shouldn't say that. I don't know what the dark match was at the end of the show. I know there was a dark match earlier with Cameron Grimes and Ashanti the Adonis, so it's possible seeing a work the match

after they went off the air. I hope he did, because for him to come out and tease this crowd like that and say, hey, tonight feels like a great night for me to have a match, and then there's no match, that would be pretty shitty. So he said he was angry at the blood Line. He said he's open to fighting them all by himself, but he thinks he found a partner, someone just as angry at the blood Line as himself. He thinks he found a phenomenal partner. Sena said,

well, actually after that, he didn't say anything. They acute his music, So AJ Styles comes out. Seemed pretty obvious that they were going to continue. If you can saw the end of SmackDown last week, the last shot was Seena and aj in the ring together. So AJ Styles comes to the ring, takes the mic, and he asked John Cena, you sure you want a team up? And Style said, Bloodline, If you want some, come get some. So Jimmy Usso's music Hits and outcomes Jimmy

and outcomes Solo Sakoa. They hopped up on the apron. Jimmy smiled and he hopped down off the apron, and Solo followed suit, and the two of them left. So we didn't get exactly a whole lot of action here in this segment, but they set the stage for what looked like might be the main event later in the show. I think if you watch this, it was pretty easy to figure we're not getting this match on the ship because why would you give that match away without advertising in advance. That doesn't make

any sense. So it seemed pretty obvious they were gonna end up setting this up with the pay per view, which is what they ended up doing. So backstage Styles and Sena, they were talking to Adam Pierson the hallway and they demanded that he make the match official. He said, first he has to go talk to Paul Hayman to see if they can make this work. And they couldn't understand why does he have to go see paulhan It's the bureaucracy in wwe see Adam Pierce, he's got he's got no balls. They've cut

his balls off. He should be able to just make a match. He shouldn't have to consult with people on the show, but he has to go consult with Paulham, Ray, Mysterio, and Santos. Escobar teamed up tonight to take on the team the not So New and Improved. I was gonna say new and improved, but based on the outcome of this match, I guess I can't say that the Not so New and Improved street profits montes Ford

and Angelo Dawkins. Escobar landed a drop kick to Dawkins and Mysterio tagged and he had a running springboard splash off the middle rope, even overshot montes Ford a little bit, so now Ford is down on the outside. Mysterio went for that sliding splash he does under the bottom rope, but Dawkins pulled forward out of the way and Mysterio ate the ground. Escobar came over to help,

but Dawkins slammed him and the show cuts a commercial. We come back from the break and Ray came up short on a hot tag that he was reaching for. Eventually he ran montes into the second buckle. Finally he got the hot tag to Santos. He came in. He had a pair of flying forearms. Escobar went to the top hit a crossbody block. Ford went to the top, but Escobar cut him off and hit a Frankensteiner from the top rope. So a few minutes later, Escobar tags in Ray and he

immediately hits a tornado DDT. Ray's setting up for the six one nine Angelo Dawkins counters with a sky high power bomb and Dawkins drops Ray over the top rope. Ray lands on montes Ford. Bobby Lashley is standing outside. There's all snazzy. He's got his suit on, he's got his glasses on. So now the referee is diverted. His attention is diverted, and Lashley decides to get involved and he grabs Ray and he's not really a choke slamp, but he kind of picked him up and spiked him on the ring. Apron

referee didn't see it. Dawkins he hesitated to finish off Ray, and Ray took advantage of that. He rolled him up. He got the surprise three counts, so the LWO they pick up the win. Here in this match. After it's over, Lashley is living. He's got to look on his face like he's just disgusted by these two Dawkins can't believe it, and Lashley walked out with a disgusted look on his face. So the story here is that the street prophets this was a test. They failed the test that came

up short. They're losers, that's the story. They have not yet found their footie in this new rule. They have not found that killer instinct that Bobby Lashley is trying to instill him them. And really, again, if you look at them, they really are not any different in the street profits that you would have seen a year ago. They walk around in suits. That's about the only thing that's different about them. They haven't found that chip

on their shoulder yet. Their attitude, I mean everything about them basically is still exactly the same as it was before. So there was a segment a little bit later on. The profits were in the back and Lashly shows up, but he's admonishing them, and he said, I want all my stuff back. He wants to watch his back, he wants the suits that he paid for, he wants all of it back. He said, if they can't finish the job, they can sit backstage and catering and they'll find someone

else who will. So they're gonna play this thing out a little bit until we get the formal heel turn from the Street Profits, which still has not come yet, because like I said, they're largely still the same. They're still baby faces. They come out and they're baby faces. There's nothing different about them. They're slotted internally supposedly, I think Mike Johnson mentioned on the internal roster they're listed as heels. Well, we haven't seen that heel turned

yet, but we know it's coming. So they're gonna play this out for a little while longer. They're gonna take their time with it, but change is coming for the Street Profits, and I'm okay with that they want to take their time with it. I don't want to see them drag this out for two months, But if they want to take their time with it before they finally pulled the trigger on the turn, I think that's fine. And the match itself was fine. There were no new developments as far as Mysterio

and Escobargo. Now Ray and Escobar are wrestling next Friday. They're having a match for the United States Championship. Escobar is another one who I think the heel turn is coming maybe a while. But there was nothing in this match to build any sort of tension or anything. They won the match. This story was more about the street profits and not so much about Mysterio and Escobar.

We got a recap of the Rocks segment last week because WWE has no idea when they'll get the Rock back on, telling me it could be another four years. So they're still playing up the Rocks appearance from last week,

which made head lines. Fucking CNN had a story on their website right they wanted they wanted to take advantage basically of all the social media clicks, so on their website on the sidebar, because it was it was linked from Google News and I'm like, I'm like on the Google page and they have their news section and there's a CNN story about the Rock coming back to WWE, and it's just the video. It's like ninety seconds and it's just total bullshit.

But it was listed as like the second most viewed video on their website for the entire week, so it made headlines. They showed the whole segment over again with him laying out Austin theory, him and Pat McAfee, and then they put a graphic on the screen that said one hundred and fifty three million was a million or billion? I think it was million, right, one hundred and fifty three million views across all forms of social media for the

Rocks. I mean they're adding up everything wherever. This thing may have run one hundred and fifty three million. And Michael Cole on commentary is doing the Rocks catchphrase and he's saying, he's talking about, you know, smelling what the rock is cooking, and he's really like stretching out the smelling and he's having it. He's having a grand all time. All of a sudden, he gets interrupted by a very angry Austin Theory, who showed up out of

the crowd, I guess. And he's ranting and raving and he's throwing a hissy fit in front of the announcers and he's yelling at Michael Cole and he's ripping up the announced desk and they cut to commercial. Just go to your privacy settings, turn off app tracking, and you're good to go. I think we all know it's a little

more complicated than that. Though big tech feeds on your information, they might add features here and there that do some good, but collecting and selling off your data is in their nature. They can't stop themselves from looking at what you do online. To protect myself against their prying eyes, I use Express VPN. vignette. We'll come back to theory in a second. They come back and we have a vignette for Alba Fire and Isla Dawn. Look at this, they actually remembered that these two women were employed. I was just happy not to see them on the cut list this week, because when I found out that they were making cuts, I thought for sure they were going to be on the list. For sure. I was convinced that Alba Fire and Islad don't we're gonna end up on that list because to Vince McMahon or to the

Endeavor folks, who the hell is albe Fire? Who's Isla Dawn? They don't know who they are, and they don't give a shit who they are, and they're not being used. And if you're not being used, you're on the bubble. Look at a lot of the names that got cut this week, they weren't being used. So lucky for them, they were not cutting in fact, we got a vignette on the show which was encouraging.

In the video, they actually said, hit aligne in here that the women's tag team titles have been cursed since they failed to unify them, and they said, now, who could have possibly done that? I like that. I like that. I like that those titles have been cursed for a lot longer. I mean, let's be honest, those titles have been cursed far

longer than since they lost to Ronda Rowsy and Shana Basil. So they're stretching the truth a little bit on that, but I like that they took credit for the fact that those titles are cursed, which they are, by the way, and I'm happy it looks like they're actually going to start using these two. But I'll believe it when I see it. Now we go to the back. Austin Theory is walking down the hallway with Adam Pierce and they're

arguing with one another about what just happened out there by the announcers. Theory said, I felt disrespected by the Rock and what he did last week. So Theory comes upon Butch and Ridge Holland whereas I guess my thing auto corrected here bitch, it says Bitch and Ridge Holland, I'm sorry, Pete Donne. Apparently Microsoft word thinks her name is bitch. So Austin Theory comes upon Bitch and Ridge Holland Grayson Waller showed up too. We ended up with that

tag team match. Adam Pierce booked the tag match for later in the show. It's gonna be the brawling brutes against Theory and wall Then we got a video package highlighting EO Sky and Oscar and their journeys from Japan to WWE. They had a woman narrating the video package. It labeled them as two of the best in the world and said only one could leave SmackDown as the WWE Women's Champion. This was very well done. They did a good job of

documenting their history. Two women that have known each other for fifteen years but had never set foot in the ring, at least not in WWE one on one. This was going to be their first one on one encounter and it led right into the match for the Women's Championship. It was EO Sky defending against the former champion, Oscar. Tell me, don't blame Hey, butch don't blame me. Don't blame me, blame Microsoft. Word, it's not my fault. So EO comes out with Bailey and Dakota Kai in her court.

The bell rings to start the match, and who has to come out here Charlotte Flair. But of course, because the WWE Women's Championship was on the line, so her sonar started to go off alert alert. There's a title match about to go on, so Charlotte has to come at alert alert. So Charlotte comes down to the ring and she takes her place at ringside. She's gonna sit ringside to watch the match. The two women they lock up, traded a series of moves. EO ran the ropes and she cartwheeled

her way past Oscar. Osca hit a pair of arm drag takedown deep arm drags and went to the second rope, and EO followed and landed an arm drag from the middle rope, which was very nice. Oscar went outside. EO went for a moonsault to the floor, but nobody was home. But when she came back towards Osca, she got kicked in the head. So down goes EO. That took us into our first of what I believe was

three commercial breaks. During this match, So again they gave these two women way more time than I was expecting, and way more time than the ladies usually get on these shows. They come back from break, EO hit a pair of springboard shotgun drop kicks. She landed a meteora into a pin for a two cout only EO went up to the top and Osca cut her off slammed her on the top turn buckle. EO comes back. She slaps the hell out of Oscar. Oscar then comes back, hit some Kawata kicks in

the corner and then a superplex which led to a close near fall. Oscar hit a stiff kick to the chest. EO came back with the chote got a near fall out of it. Oscar then applies a chicken wing. She applies the Oscar lock or tries to transitions into an armbar, which EO was able to escape. Oscar goes up top. She hits a shotgun drop get. She attempted a German suplex EO though avoided it, and Oscar applied not the best, but she applied a Fujiwara armbar and then stomped on EO's arm.

Oscar went up top. EO though, popped up with a springboard and kicked her out to the apron, so EO attempts a sunset flip bomb to the floor. She comes out, she's got a hold of Oscar. She's trying to do the follow through on the sunset bomb. Oscar holds on and

EO did not really. She didn't stick the landing very well. And I wass cringe on that because I think back to seth Rollins when he got hurt back in two thousand f Team. I think he was wrestling Kane on like an overseas tour or something, but he did a sunset bomb in the corner, and the way he planted is how he hurt his knee. So it's very easy to get hurt on a move like that. So it was a little wonky and Oscar held on, but then Oscar let go and EO power

bomb there. It looked very weak. I don't know if the idea was that Oscar was not supposed to hold on and they were just supposed to have one fluid motion complete the power bomb, but it didn't happen. I mean, safety first, but the move looked like shit. EO then hit a moonsault to the floor, but she barely even grazed Oscar on the way down, and both women were dead. Say Charlotte Flair would be proud of that moon sault. And both women were down on the ground outside heading into another

commercial break. So EO got a German Suplex with a bridge for a near fall. She tried for a cross face. Oscar was able to reverse into the Oscar lock and EO was struggling, but she got into a pinning position and so Oscar had to break the hold. Now both women are trading shots. Oscar grabs a wild ride hand turns it into a cross arm bar, transitioned into another Oscar lock. She got out of it. She put it on again, this time a little closer to the ropes. So now Bailey

is outside. I mentioned they're in her corner. So Bailey gets involved in the match and she places EO's foot on the bottom rope. Charlotte sees this. Alert Alert. She sees this all the way from the other side of the ring, and Charlotte comes over to Bailey and she attacks Bailey. She

knocks her down well. Osca in the ring is watching this, and she's briefly distracted by this by Charlotte beating up Bailey on the outside, and she doesn't see that Eo Sky is coming up from behind with the double knees right to the back, so Oscar goes down. Eo goes up to the top rope, she hits her genius at the sky Moon Salt, and she pins Osca to retain the women's championship. This was the highlight of the night.

These two ladies got twenty minutes across three segments and they did not disappoint. There were a few rough moments, but I really enjoyed this match, and I was worried we were going to get that fuck finished. We did not get a fuck finish. You know what they did with Charlotte and Oscar being distracted briefly, they did that because they wanted to protect Oscar, so that's why they did what they did there, that little minor distraction. Aside,

though there really was not a lot of fuckery in this match. They let these two go out and wrestle each other, and the wrestling is what carried the match, and in the end, Eo Sky pinned Oscar. We didn't get a DQ or count out or no content, so I was very happy about that, but Charlotte being out there, you know what that means. Charlotte Flair is not out there watching this championship match. Unless Charlotte Flair is going to be getting another title shot very soon. So get ready Charlotte will

be back in the title picture in a matter of weeks. And also, don't forget we still have Kyrie Sane who is supposedly on her way back to WWE. Still no official announcement, but she's on her way back. Then she's still wrapping up either she is in the process or she may have just wrapped up her final matches, but in the next month or two she's expected to be back in WWE. SmackDown is the place for her to land.

Anywhere that Naya Jacks is not is where Kyrie Sane should be landing. But it should be SmackDown regardless, because you've got Osca on that show, and I want to see Osca and EO and Kyrie doing something together, whether they're working against each other, whether they're partnering together, I want to see them working together. And for the love of God, keep this woman away from Nya Jacks. So keep that in mind that Kyrie is on her way back

soon. We'll see how she figures into this whole situation if she does. Paul Hayman, Solo Sakoa and Jimmy Uso were in the back Jimmy's lounging. Now, Jimmy has really made himself right at home, thinking that he's officially back in the bloodlight, at least that's what they want him to think.

Adam Pierce walks and he's got a contract in hand for a tag team match, I mean John Cena and aj Styles against Jimmy Uso and Solo Sako and Paul Hayman says, no problem, as long as it's not for tonight, and Adam Pierce says it's not for tonight, the match is for fast ling. So Hayman objected to this, when Jimmy interrupted and said, no problem, we'll be out there later on to sign the contract in the ring, and Pierce walked off. Hayman told Jimmy, look, decisions like this,

they have to be made from the top. They have to be made by the tribal chief. And Jimmy told Hayman, cool, let me know what he says. Solo told Paul don't worry about it because after tonight there will not be anyone left to fight them at Fastling. We got a video after this from Pretty Deadly. Pretty Deadly has been off television for a while. Or Elton Prince suffered a separated shoulder in the ring a few months ago at the hands of Ridge Holland and they were getting a pretty good pushed too at

the time, and so the timing could not have been any worse. But they they've made a few appearances on TV recently and now it looks like they're gonna They're gonna find a way to get them on television in these I hope that this is the first of more vignettes like this. I think it's the perfect way to get them on television. But it started with Kit Wilson talking to the cameras very dramatically about Elton Prince's injury is separated shoulder, and you

could see in the background in the hospital bed. In the background, you know, he's laying there, he's suffering. I think he knocked something off the nightstand or whatever, and he asked Kit to pick it up for him, but he was selling his It showed him at one point using a shake weight, which I forgot shake weaight's worth thing. But they showed him using

a shake weight. He was selling his leg and his partner was helping him kind of stretch his leg out like you would think this guy was recovering from a torn acl He doesn't have a leg injury. We had a doctor, female doctor suddenly appeared on camera in the foreground. You could see them in the background, and the doctor just looks into the camera and says, he has a separated should. He'll be fine. So I thought this was great. This was a lot more amusing than it sounds here. You should watch

it for yourself. Hopefully they'll put it up on their YouTube channel. But I hope we get more of these. I think it's it's a perfect way to get these two on television. I don't know how much longer he's going to be out for. It's probably going to be, you know, a little while. I don't I don't know if six weeks, if it's a month, two months, he's gonna be out for a while longer. It's the perfect way to keep these guys on television and start buildings to their return.

We had all theory and Grayson Waller, or as Kevin Patrick called them on commentary Atown down Under against Butch not Bitch, Butch and Ridge Holland. Butch actually had a very good match with Tyler Bate if you did not see it on NXT this past Tuesday. They're doing this Global Heritage Invitational. It's like round robin g one style, and so the two of them had a match. Took me back to take over Chicago back in twenty seventeen. I

guess it would have been when they wrestled for the NXT UK Championship. A lot of history between those two, so they had a very good match. One person we have not seen a lot of lately. Interestingly enough, we see the brawling brutes, we see Butch, we see Ridge. No Shamus.

We have not seen Shamus in at least a few weeks on television, and there was a report that came out I believe from Fightful this past week that Shamus is another one, much like Drew McIntyre, who's in the middle of at least preliminary conversations with ww WE about a new contract because his deal is up I think around WrestleMania time next year. Well, apparently Shamus is

also potentially going to be having conversations very soon with WWE. I guess he is going to be having conversations because his contract is also up next year, and I don't know when it is next year. If it's the early part of the year, I think it might be the early part of twenty twenty four. So that's gonna be an interesting story to follow because Shamus, yeah, he did work some some indies before WWE, but he's been in WWE forever, and as we know, in WWE, forever does not really last

forever, as Dolf Ziggler found out this past week. But Shamus is still actively Unlike Dolf, he's still actively being used on TV. He really had this reinvigorated, renewed push late last year, especially coming out of the Clash of the Castle match with Gunther still has not won the Intercontinental title. It would be a fucking crime if he left before he had a chance to win that championship. So I don't see shame is going anywhere. I personally don't

see this being a big story because I can't imagine him being cut. I can't imagine him leaving. But apparently his contract is up next year, so that may turn into something of his story. Now Kevin Patrick. Early on here in this match, Kevin Patrick said we could pick holes with a town down under. Corey Graves immediately cut him off and said, no, no, we cannot, there's no holes, and he called Patrick a habitual hole searcher. I think we may have some hole searchers here in this chat.

It can be difficult, especially if the lights are off. So he called Patrick a habitual hole searcher. And you could practically hear Michael Cole pissing himself laughing in the background after he says it's a brief pause, and Graves told him I think he was talking to Cole. He said, get your mind out of the gutter. All this talk about holes again. It brings me back to Nia Jacks. It just makes me think of Nia Jacks from Monday.

I don't want to be thinking about Nia Jack's on Friday. I don't want to be thinking about Nia Jacks on Monday, either, but I certainly don't want to be thinking about her on Friday. Let's leave that on Mondays. Can we please do that. I don't want to be talking about holes. So Waller beat up Butch to start things off here in the match. Butch came back. He did the finger snap spot and then he tagged in Holland. Holland swung Waller around, he lifted him for a supplex. Butch

tagged and he hit a shotgun drop kick. Butch ran the ropes and outside Austin. Theory held the ropes open, so Butch went flying out to the floor. Holland worked at Boston Crab, but Waller broke it up with his rolling stunner. He did the rolling stunner finish that he does into the ring, and then Theory followed that up with a town down and they picked up the wind. Michael Cole said almost like he was surprised when it was over. He said, well, that was a great match. It was a

very good match. It was a very good match. It was a better match than I was expecting. What's great, though, is the way that Waller in Theory worked together and seemed to compliment each other. I thought the two of them were great together. I think they may have something here with these two as a combo in a very short period of time. Because Grayson Waller he was drafted to SmackDown, so he's really only been on the main roster since May Here we are in September now, and in a short period

of time he's really fit in very nicely on the main roster. You know, he carries himself like a star. We've seen him on the microphone going toe to toe with John Cena. We haven't seen him have a lot of matches. He's had a handful of matches so far, but his rain work is very good, as ringwork was very good in n x T two.

So he's assimilated very well so far into the main roster. And I think a new pairing with Theory would do Theory a lot of it, even more so than Grayson Wall because even though Theories had success as a single, he was the United States Champion, and you know, he's wrestled some big names. I think he's more interesting, potentially more interesting if he has somebody to play off of. Austin Theory on his own is about as fucking interesting to

me as watching Paint dry this year. So this may be what he needs right now. You have a friend that he can play off of, and I think he'll be a little more interesting that way. So again, I think they may have something here that The main event of the show was not a match The main event of the show was a talking segment. Adam Pierce was in the ring for the contract signing. He brought out John Cena first, who rushed down to the ring. Sina did not waste any time.

He signed the contract, called for his partner to come out. They played AJ's music. No AJ stuts We don't know where AJ styles is cut to the back and we see AJ is being destroyed by Jimmy Uso and he got slammed onto a series of I guess equipment cases and he's laid out. I think he may have been on a table. But Solo Sako all of a sudden is standing way up on top of all this equipment or a platform or something. He was, you know, ten feet the air. Solo is

standing up there and he hits a splash down onto AJ stutts. So now officials are there. They're swarmed, swarming AJ to check on him. He was unconscious. He was on top of a broken table. Seena showed up too. It reminds me of my DDP yoga broken table. So AJ is laid out. John Cena runs to the back to check up on his partner, his would be partner. For some reason, we also see sparks flying. Sparks are flying around AJ styles. Okay, apparently there's about to be

some sort of explosion. I don't know, but literal sparks start flying in the area where AJ was laid out. They go to commercial. When we come back from the brake, Cina was backstage with the officials. They're tending to AJ. They're kind of hovering over him. He's strapped to a stretcher. He's about to be loaded into an ambulance. We got a whole full replay of what we just saw. They cut out live to the arena and

we see Paul Hayman. He's waddling his way down to ringside. Then we cut back to the backstage area and we see AJ being loaded up into the back of an ambulance, and the OC is there, Carl Anderson is there, Luke Gallows, who are just breathing a sigh of relief after this week. I'm sure Meet Chin is there with them. So they're loading Age J into the ambulance. Carl Anderson looks at John Cena and says, I told him not to get involved in bloodline business. So they all pile into the

not sena but the oc. They pile into the back of the ambulance and the ambulance drives off, drives off, They take a fucking shower, drives off back in the ring. Jimmy and Solo there they make their way down to the ring and Solo takes all the furniture for the contract signing, all the chairs, the table, He dumps all of it outside the ring. So the fans are booing as Michael says, Paul ris that's right, he is. He is the paul Us. That's going to be his name.

He waddles when he walks to the ring. He waddles h So the fans are booing. As Haymon is trying to speak, he says, the fans can boo his Kosher took us. As far as he's concerned, I think very few people will get well, we'll understand what that means. I got it. I understand what that means. But they can kiss. They could kiss his Kosher took us. He had in his hand a contract signed by the second greatest of all time. John seen him because they introduced him all

the time. Is the greatest of all time, right, even the ringing out for tonight, the greatest of all time, John c So. Paul Hayman says he's the second greatest of all time, but there's no signature for his partner. Jimmy then grabs the microphone out of Hayman's head and says, well, look what happens when you mess with the bloodline. He goes, Yo, John, if you're smart like you say you're smart, you would jump your ass in the ambulance with aj styles and get far away from the

blood line. He said, John's going out in an ambulance anyway. That's not a prediction, that's a spoiler. So he took Hayman's line away from him. Hayman did not seem overly amused by this. Yeah, that's right. Chase makes a great point. Never forget that the Undertaker nearly ended up as the Eggman. Paul Hayman kind of looks like a giant egg. But the Undertaker almost ended up as the Eggman, and that would have just changed the course of WWE history. He was the Eggman. Sina ran back to

the ring. He met Solo Sakoa in the aisle way. He fought Solo off in the ring. He took out Jimmy. Then he Solo came back. He gets Solo up on his shoulders for the attitude adjustment, but then he gets kicked in the face with a superkick. It's down, go see it. Jimmy gave the signal for Solo to hit the Samoa and Spike.

The crowd started Channy for Cody and Sina ate the Samo and Spike. They put the boots to seeing it, and this right here is where I was like, all right, if it's gonna be Cody, if it's gonna be l a Night, whoever it's gonna be. This is the moment that they come out, and then nobody came out, so they're putting the boots to this guy. Jimmy goes up top, he hits the USO splash. Then he grabbed the contract away from Paul Hayman. He put his name on the

contract. He handed it to Solo for him to sign, and he signed it. They were taking their time, just kind of standing around and it's like they were killing time, and then Jimmy said, well, I'll go up again for another splash. So he goes up top, hits one more USO splash, and again they ran short. They clearly ran short. Because they went off the air a few minutes early, and think it was like two or three minutes early before the top of the hour, so they really

dragged this segment out as long as they possibly could. But the match is official. John Cena, though, was down to partner, so right now we got one signature on the contract, but no signature for his partner, and conspicuous by his absence. And there are some people who tuned in late who may not be aware of this, but La Night was not on the show tonight. He was not mentioned. He did not feature in any of

this segments. The crowd here was chanting for Cody, which is interesting that they weren't chanting for La Night. Er if they were, I didn't hear it. Cody is the one they were chanting for. But it was pretty apparent to me in watching this that La Knight was going to be the one to kind of save the day, and then he never did. The reason that he didn't if you missed it at the beginning, is because La Knight

was supposed to be in this segment. He was pulled late in the day and sent home or sent away from the building because he tested positive for COVID and I guess they only found out about it late in the day, so he was sent away, and I guess they just decided, well, we're not going to replace him, or they didn't have somebody to replace him for fast Lane. La Night is sick. Hopefully he'll be okay. Maybe in a week he can be back on the show and then they can reveal that

he's the tag team partner. But that is why La Knight was not on the show. That is why nobody came out to save John Cena. Because if this guy is sick and he's going to be out for a week or two, he can still work the pay per view. The pay per view is still a couple of weeks away, so La Knight does not have to lose his spot, and I hope for his sake that he does it,

because there really is no other obvious choice. If aj Styles is going to be out for a while and they already shot the injury angle, he shouldn't just be back on TV next week. Then that leaves La Knight and Cody Rhodes as possibilities. Now, with Cody, you could explain it by finally revealing the Cody is the person coming to SmackDown in exchange for jay Us and then Cody becomes tag team partners at fast Lange with John Cena. Because Cody

doesn't have a match at fast Lane, which is ridiculous. He needs to get he needs to get a match. He didn't have a match with Payback. He needs to have a match at fast Ling right now. He does it. So if they wanted to tell that story, it could easily they could slide Cody Roads in there. I think that would be a mistake because

it's too early to move Cody to smack Down. And I still think Cody is the one going to SmackDown, but it's too soon, and they just first started teasing this story between Cody and Drew McIntyre, which may well lead to a Drew McIntyre heelter. We still haven't gotten a program between or any interaction really between Cody and Drew McIntyre. They have to tell that story first on Raw before you can even think about moving him over to SmackDown. So

and he's opening the show on Monday night. They had already announced that Cody was opening the show on Monday, So it's not going to be Cody. The timing for that just isn't right. It's going to be seen at La Knight. I think La and that will be okay. He'll be back him and John Cena against Jimmy Uso and Solo Sakoa will be one of the main

events for fast Lane as far as AJ Styles is concerned. If La Knight does end up becoming John cenas tag team partner, as I believe he will, what I hope does not happen is that they don't just feed him to Roman Reigns in Saudi Arabia in November, because there's been talk that it could very well be La Knight and Roman Reigns for the championship, and it might sound weird, like, oh, well, isn't that the kind of match that you would want to see because you know, you've you're a fan of

his, You've been advocating for La Night to get a push I have, And that's exactly why I don't want to see him against Roman Reigns this suit, because it doesn't end well for La Knights. Then he just becomes another guy who goes in there and gets fed to Roman Reigns. And there's no reason to do that this soon, So I don't want to see that it crowned Jewel. Aj Styles went out in an ambulance today, which means when he comes back, he's going to be looking for payback on the bloodline.

So the person who I still feel like is the best choice to wrestle Roman Reigns in November is Aj Styles. It's a match we haven't seen since Roman became champion. After what Solo and Jimmy did to him tonight, he should want to get his hands ultimately on Roman Reigns and either Crown Jewel or of IBr series, either one of those shows. It should be AJ and Roman and hopefully that's where their focus is. Hopefully that's the direction that they're moving

in. Overall, though, again, I enjoyed Osca and EO, and it was a newsworthy angle to close out the show. Even if it was incomplete, it would have it would have hit better if La Night was there, but he couldn't be there. He got sick and they sent them home. Shit happens. It's not their fault, so that would have made the ending not as awkward as it felt. But the rest of the show was just kind of there, really not much of a show otherwise, you know,

the look. The Waller and Theory tag match was good. I'm not saying it wasn't good, but there was nothing else on the show that really jumped out. Is something that, oh my god, you have to see it. If you missed it, watch the Oscar and Eo match. That's really good. If you want to watch the show closing angle and the stuff with aj that's newsworthy. But that really was the only main stuff coming out

of this show tonight. Now next week it's going to be Charlotte and Bailey one on one, Santos Escobar against Ray Mysterio for the United States Championship, and Bobby Lashley is going to be the guest on the Grayson Waller Effect. So that is the current lineup for SmackDown next week, and we'll see if La Night is back or not. You know, again, with this COVID stuff. Until he tests negative, they're not going to let him back no

matter how he feels. He could feel totally fine, depends on when he clears you know, the virus and he tests negative and then he'll be let back. So hopefully he's not gone for very long. This is the worst time for him to be out for an extended period of time. My fear at first what I first saw the tweet from Sean Ross sap was now a medical issue. I'm like, oh fuck, you know, did he hurt

his knee? Like, did he suffer an injury? This is actually better, just because an injury or anything like that could could be catastrophic to this guy's push right now. But hopefully he won't be gone very long. Here's the Twitter poll for a Tonight Show. Sixty two percent thumbs up for SmackDown, thirty seven point eight percent thumbs down at solo monster on Twitter or a Twitter x. Maybe we should call it so go vote, go vote. You have filthy animals. All right, let's take a look at these super

chats here, got a bunch of them coming in. Don't remember, by the way, don't or don't remember, don't forget to hit that leg button, and perhaps we will do some be the booker here. We're a little I didn't reveal what the goal was, but we're still down from the building. That's all all said. No I hit that thumbs up the Winston slip with a super check coming in, says golf Ziggler defines turning chicken shit into chicken salad, Lady Fire Panda says, chicken salad, Lady Fire Panda has

a good taste. Thank you for the twenty bucks, Jamie Dorsch. If it were to happen, could Austin versus Lesner be a bigger match than Reins and Rock. No, First of all, it's it's not going to happen. It will never happen. Stone Cove will never wrestle Brocks. I'm confident in saying that you're in. It was never going to happen. It is not going to happen. So if it did happen, in some fantasy world

scenario, Rock and Roman is still the more Marky Man. Some people may disagree with that, but I'm just telling you, as big of a star as Rock is, it's the bigger Marky Man. It's the match that will do the biggest business between us. Austin and Brock will sell tickets, but Rock and Roman is the match that if you gave WWW the choice, that's

the match that they want. Jacob Donnelly with the five dollars super Chat didn't think your predictions of Matt or prediction of Matt Riddle being released would come true. Mine predicting that I will win the lottery. If you're a twenty twenty four predict well, I would predict that I'm gonna win the lot before I predict that you're gonna win the one. I'll make a prediction right now, you and I both Neither one of us are gonna win the lottery in twenty

twenty four. It came to me in a vision Rizzo with the ten spot. Gotta work at seven am tomorrow, so I don't know if I can make it for the whole stream, but will definitely listen to the recap when it comes out in the morning. Sucks about riddle, but not really a surprise. Not a surprise. Nial Fire Panda, who is the greatest mid card wrestler of all time? I think he may have been released by WWE this week. I think delve Ziggler is in the conversation. I think I

personally, I might go Kurt Heading, I might come mister Perfect. But I think the argument could definitely be made that the answer is delve Ziggler. If you think of all the success that he had, the titles he won, he was never a main event guy in the company. He was never truly a main event player, you know, so I think I think that may be the answer. GMB, who would be your first feud for Jade on the main roster? Well, I've made it very clear where I think

Jade should go. But if they if they insist on debuting her on the main roster first, I think there's a story there. As long as Becky Lynch is the NXT Women's Champion, I think there's a way to work her into a program a program or at least one match with Becky Lynch, but getting her an NXT by having her beat Becky Whin the NXT Champion and that at least forces her to be an NXT for a period of time, but

it gives her main roster exposure. If they insist on doing that, you know, because they're they're probably paying her good money and they want her on television. But I think she definitely should have a stint in NXT first, But that could be one way for her to make a big splash. Bass Beers has seen his partner will be none other than stew Ah. Yes,

stew the cameraman. I hadn't thought about that. Bass Beers has top dollar now rock bottom and Rocks should interact with hit Row or what's left of hit Row. Brian Musha with the twelve Bucks had to give the new super Chat to try. If Raw is leaving USA in the new rights deal, do you think this will be the time to cut it back to two hours? I fucking hope. So I'm not even really concerned about that anymore. The fact that SmackDown is coming back to USA concern What concerns me is that SmackDown

may go three hours. If USA wants it three hours, it's going three hours. That's what concerns me. Rob G Better Arena, MSG, UBS, Prudential or Barclays. I have not been to the Prudential Will Center in Newark. I have been to the other No, Actually I have not been to UBS. Have I been to Ubs? No? No, So I have not been to UBS yet. I've been to MSG, and I've been to Barclay's. Barclays is closer to me, so it's a lot easier to get to. But I mean, Better Arena. Hard to vote against MSG

just for the history. I'd go MSG Dethronics seventy eight. If no one sees it's going to be Rock and Roman at WrestleMania is beyond me. Rock is making the calls over rolling. That's what everybody said last year. What happened? What happened? I thought we were getting it last year with last year. This year, I thought we were getting it this year. Do

you not assume that Rock is wrestling at WrestleMania. I don't understand why people think it's a foregone conclusion that Rock is wrestling at wrestle me when Rock has not had a singles match, a proper singles match, in ten fucking years, and people still think always gonna be a WrestleMania next year. The odds are against it. There's a better chance of him not having a match of

WrestleMania than having a match of wrestling. I said it before. I think he's more in love with the idea of having a match, actually getting in the ring and having a match. He got hurt the last time he was supposed to wrestle Rock at WrestleMania thirty, but because of those injuries, they didn't shoot the angle on Raw the night after, and then the whole thing just never happened. People think, oh, Rock is definitely coming back at

WrestleMania. He was supposed to be back this year, right. It was locked. That was the word he used. It was locked. Locked in. Well, I guess somebody found a key and they opened the lock because I didn't see Rock and Roman at WrestleMania this year. So I don't know why some people think it's an automatic guarantee that that match is happening next year. I don't think it is. Bass Beer, says bro No more. Riddle Waller is such a JABRONI where the hell is reins in theory, Ray

Phoenix should be elevated. You beat former world champion Moxley. Thank you, solo you monster. Well, that was a lot of different topics that were covered in that one message there, Chris Ludek. If Riddle goes to AW, they have already made feud with Jake Hager, but he has serious personal issues that he needs to address. So if Riddle goes to AW, your first thought was putting him in a feud with Jake Hager. Hager, that's

the feud for Riddle that you're thinking about. I'm no interest in seeing Jake Hager whatsoever. Based Beerris, thank you for the fifteen bucks Man based beers is on fire tonight, Chris AXC, Who do you think had more to do in the business before They're unfortunate passing Eddie Guerrero or Owen Harnt. They both did. I really don't want to choose between them. I think they both had a lot to contribute, and both of them honestly in coaching and

teaching capacities. I don't know if they would have started their own school, but I think that them passing their knowledge on to the next generation of talent would have been invaluable, and I think ultimately that's what the two of them would have ended up doing. Owen was thirty four when he passed away. Eddie was thirty eight and his body was already breaking down so in the ring physically, I think Owen had more to contribute and would have done more.

But I don't want to I don't want to sit here and make it sound like, well, you know, one guy had a lot more to contribute than the other. I mean, imagine Eddie Guerrero, you know, coaching people and teaching them, teaching the next generation of talent, working in you know, the developmental system or something. I think that would have been I think that would have been huge, and I'll be able to learn from someone like him. Bobby's world riddle was gone. Behold my shocked face. Solo

calls another one January first. I said it. I said it on January first. I got the receipts to prove it. I take no pleasure in it. But he did not disappoint. Actually he did disappoint. Bass Beer says Nya needs to use abyssess finisher my whole slant. She should use that because the the bons eye drop that she's been using, especially the once she hit on Rhea Ripley. I'm surprised she didn't kill her when she hit that move. We got one coming in here from Zacharai. Zacharia, Man,

what's going on? I hope you're doing well. Zachariah Sitchin says, I thought Cody was going to swoop in for the save. If about him, then what does he do for fast Ling? What does Cody do for fast Lane? I have no fucking idea. Clearly they're going to be doing something with him and Drew, but I don't know. If that first match happens at fast Lane, that's the match that would make sense. But fast Lane is two weeks away, so if they're going to do something with the two

of them. They better get the two of them in the ring real quick. Maybe maybe it could happen on Monday. Cody's coming out to make some sort of address at the beginning of the show. So Cody and Drew is the direction. I just don't know if that first match is going to happen in time for fast Lane. I think it might, Otherwise, I have no idea. I mean, we've already seen him in the Judgment Day he

beat Dominic in two minutes, made him look like a scrub. On Monday, You're not going to do that again, right, Balor and priest Or tag team champions. It's not going to be either one of them. It's not gonna be Seth Right, he's still busy with Nakamura. They don't have a lot of options for all, the more reason to get him on SmackDown soon. But not yet. Not yet. It's a little too soon for that. Yeah, I'm bliss fan. In the chat makes an interesting point.

There were there were rumors. There were some reports even before Summer Slam, I think, but coming out of Summer Slam, there were reports that Cody might be working with Bray Wyatt. When the talk was that Bray was going to be coming back as early as September. I still maintained that if bray Wyatt was having heart issues, there's no fucking way he was going to be cleared anyway. It's not like they snuck up on him. I mean, if he had issues, then how close could the guy have been getting

cleared? Their medical team never would have cleared him in time to come back in September. But is it possible that creatively the plan was that he would work with Cody if he was able to come back. Yeah, I think it's possible. It's possible, and that could be why Cody is just sort of floating around aimlessly without any real direction right now, because the direction that they originally planned for him fell through. So I think there's a definite possibility

there. But whatever whatever the situation may be, he's too important to that show for him to not have anything to do. I mean, it's just it's ridiculous. So we are now at four hundred and twenty eight lights. So the hidden goal was four hundred, just so you know, So thank you guys for helping us hit the goal tonight. Let's be the booker, ladies and gentlemen. Oh no, it's Charlotte Faker. Oh no, she's everywhere. She heard be the booker. She'd be ready for her championship match.

Charlotte was the one thing I'll say about Charlotte flairsh she'll never drown. All Right, here we go. Men's be the booker. Let's start things off with the men. Men's be the booker, closing out the week here on a Friday night. We had a pretty good night on Monday and Wednesday, I think right in terms of be the booker. Hopefully, well, we're getting off to a great start here too. Look at this, the

intercontinental champion, the longest reigning intercontinental champion of all time. Gunther kicks us off here and be the book It doesn't get any better than that. And it's gonna be Gunther going one on one with King Kong Bundy. I'm a bundamaniac. I will admit I'm a I'm a King Kong Bundy mark. I like King Kong Bundy. King Kong Bundy and Gunther type of big man match

I could get behind. I'm not talking King Kong Bundy from like that second run when he was in the Million Dollar Corporation, because you know, I'm talking about King Kong Bundy from the eighties. I give that the bell It wouldn't be a tech masterpiece, but I think it would be entertaining enough. All Right, here we go, be the booker. Let's see. Let's see if the Queen gets her wish we had Charlotte Flair on television tonight. Let's see if we Oh my god, I rather have Charlotte Flair. Brethe

Bella has greeted us here once again in be the Booker. M have finished this out anyway, even though I already gave it the buzzard. But my god, my god, breathe Bella and be Fab. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I knew that was coming. That, by the way, sounds like a horrid match. Oh my god, I almost want to see it, just for like entertainment sake. Breebella and be Fab. Jesus tag team slide of great tag teams in here. And here's one. Powers of Pain,

the Barbarian and the Warlord. I remember when they did the double turn many years ago between the Powers of Pain and Demolition. Probably the earliest example of a double turn that I ever saw. Powers of Pain and best Friends bless is what I say. To that, So I see I spoke too soon when I said we had a great night on Monday. We had a great night on Wednesday. And then we end up with Beefab and Breebella and we end up with best friends against the powers of pain. I just you

know, what do you do with that? What do you do with that? You just take the l and you move on. That's it. That's all you can do. One for three The Terrible Night, Awful Dreadful Night. Doctor Bropio. Did Charles Mason watch The Dark Night recently? He had me laughing when he was yelling where is he in the ring in that clip? I'm sorry you'd have to ask him. I don't talk to him about his movie watching Habits. I try not to have any conversations with him.

He's an asshole and slim Yoshi with the ten Spots. Sad to hear the news about Dolve Ziggler. I know some to some his best moment was the money in the bank cash and but my favorite moment of his will always be his performance in the twenty fourteen Survivor series match. He was the sole survivor that was Team Sina against the Authority. I remember it well, and they have the potential to really turn that into something, and of course they didn't

do it. Just kind of the story of his career in many ways. So we'll talk about Dolve Ziggler and must Have for Ali and Matt Riddle as more news comes out, I'm sure, and all the other releases, all the other big WWE news of the week, television news. There's a lot of stuff that has happened, and who knows what may end up being reported

tomorrow, what news might break tomorrow. We still have one more day before the podcast, so that's going to be episode eight twenty seven on Sunday, and I'll be preparing for that the whole My whole weekend has gone over. Every time I turn around, there's another release, there's another piece of news. I can't I can't rest for a second here without something breaking. So there will be no shortage of news. Hey j from New Jersey with the

five dollars super Chat, Bundy, the original Egg also love Cats. Yes, that's right, King Kong Bundy. When he passed away, I think he had like ten cats, and I don't remember what happened to them. I don't know if he had family to take the cats. I remember there being a newspaper article, I think, asking if people wanted the cats. So I don't really remember what happened to them, but yeah, he was

a big cat guy. He did look like an egg, especially that second round when he came back in nineteen four, I guess into ninety five, he looked like a human egg. He really did. The way he moved, the odd shape of his body. It's a very odd looking fellow. You want to see something odd, go find photos or footage of him with hair back when he was in his early wrestling days, King Kong Bundy with hair back in world class was a sight to behold. They were taken in

by someone. Okay, good, good, Yeah, I just couldn't remember what happened to the cats. There were so many of them. I think he had like ten of them when he when he passed away. So anyway, thank you guys for hanging out with me on a Friday night.
