AW was in Norfolk, Virginia tonight, about thirty five hundred fans in the building, their highest attendance in that city in about four years. And the Virginia Boy himself was in the main event tonight, Hangman Adam Page, who I believe grew up not very far from where they were tonight, taking on Kyle Fletcher in the finals semifinal round match in the owen Hart Tournament. These two went out there to battle for the right to meet will Ospray in
the finals at double or nothing next month. This was easily the highlight of the show. This was an excellent main event between these two tonight. That sets up an excellent match now for the pay per view, and I think it was the right outcome as well, because what it sets up now is a match that's a lot more unpredictable than it would have been if Kyle Fletcher was going to the finals. In fact, he is not going to the finals, and hang Matt Adam Page will
be taking on will Ospray. We also know the stipulation now for the AW World Championship match that's going to be taking place on Dynamite in two weeks between John Moxley and Samojo. Samojo making things a little more interesting by adding a stipulation I'll talk about what that is.
That match is taking place in two weeks on Dynamite and Double or Nothing is about a month away now, I guess just under four weeks, and we don't really have a very clear picture about where they're going with a lot of the matches on that show outside of the finals of the men's and women's Owen Heart Tournament.
Now you have to assume they're going to have probably an anarchy in the arena match, which I think they do every year on this show, and that's where you'll see a lot of the names like a John Moxley, maybe a Kenny Omega or An Okada. We don't know that for sure. That's really all we know at this point. There really isn't anything else that's even really been heavily
teased or hinted at for that show. So they're going to have to start getting there, you know, ducks in a row and giving us some clarity on that in these next couple of weeks. Here. I thought this was a largely average show with a great main event, and I think that your opinion of this show is likely going to depend on how you felt about the opening match, because they had this huge what they called all star
eight man tag team match to open the show. Where you fall on that spectrum as far as your enjoyment of that match, which took up a large chunk of hour one of the show, I think will dictate your overall feelings on this show. For me, though, nothing grabbed me like that main event did, and that was the match I was most looking forward to anyway. So for me, I got what I wanted to out of this show. But again, your mileage, I think, will vary. This is
your aw Dynamite review. It is the final live stream for the month of April and your final Dynamite review for the month of April as well. It is April thirtieth, twenty twenty five. I am the Solo Monster. Thank you guys for being here with me as we close out a very successful month, in fact, our biggest April ever here on the channel. As we are barreling towards eighty seven thousand, subscribers soon helped me get there by hitting that subscribe button, hit that like button as well. Super
chats are open as they come in. You will see them popping up on your screen. I will be reading all of your messages a little bit later on, like we always do, and if we hit our like skull, we will do some be the booker a little bit later on as well. We got a goal going in the chat. Sometimes the Dynamite streams tend to be the quietest of the week. We'll see if tonight is another one of those nights we shall find out. We had a great night on Monday for the raw post show.
So let's get into some AW talk here, because Dynamite opened, as I just mentioned, with what they billed as an all star eight man tag team match. It was Kenny Omega, Mark Briscoe, Speedball, Mike Bailey, and Kevin Knight, who has been put in some pretty big positions so far. He's only been full time AW for a handful of weeks and he's been in some big matches so far. They took on Kazushka, Okata, Ricochet and the Young Bucks. So for one night only, I guess you would say Ricochet
was a member of the elite. I honestly wouldn't even mind it if they wanted to make him a more permanent member of the Elite, but for one night only he was part of their crew. Okada started the match with Omega, but he immediately tagged out to Nick Jackson. Now, they did a very silly sequence here, and everybody in the crowd popped for it. I mean, aw, they know how to cater to their particular audience, and they know what their audience likes. I just thought it was silly.
It was this whole sequence where every single person went for an elbow, went to drop an elbow and they missed. Somebody else went for an elbow and they missed. Somebody else went for an elbow and they missed. And they went pretty much down the line with this right in the middle of the ring until everybody missed, and then they all got back up and everybody cheered, and that took us into the first commercial b Ricochet and Matt Jackson. They landed ten of Northern Light sup plexes on Mike
Bailey and Kevin Knight. Bailey battled back, he crawled for a tag. Okata, though tagged in shut that down, so a Kata signaled for a brainbuster. Everybody ended up in the ring though to break that up, and then we ended up getting four separate brainbusters. After this, Omega got isolated in the heel corner, but he managed to flip on out made a tag. Nobody was home though when he got there, because everybody else had been yanked down off the apron. Matt Jackson faked out Omega with a kick.
He hit a DDT instead. Ricochet tagged in for a springboard four fifty, but he crashed and burned Kevin Knight Mike Bailey. They dove out onto Ricochet in the bucks on the floor outside, Brisco landed a Fisherman's buster on Okada. He covered him for an ear fall and then he fired back. Olkada did with a neck breaker, took to the top rope, landed an elbow drop, and now he signaled for the rain maker. Bailey, though, blasted him with
a back heel kick. So then we had a breakdown and it led to Kenny Omega and Kazuchka Okada as the last men, last men standing in the ring. Here we go, are they going to actually get into it and actually do some wrestling here, because this is the first time that we you know, if it were to happen, this would be the first time that we've seen it in about seven years, and they teased it and then they started going at it, so we did get their
first interaction here since twenty eighteen. Little preview of what's to come in Texas at all. In Omega nearly landed a one winged Angel, but Okada slipped out hit a Snapdragon sup plex the heels. They set up a double Meltzer driver and landed them both. Okada covered Mark Briscoe, but he kicked out the Bucks set up for a BTE trigger. Briscoe moved though and their knees collise I did. Briscoe then delivered to Jade Riller to Okada. Ricochet broke
up the fall. Kevin Knight delivered a Doomsday device drop kick to Ricochet on the floor. Omega then dove on to Ricochet in the bucks at ringside. Briscoe now sets up for a froggy bow on Okada, but Ricochet recovered enough to knock him off the turnbuckle and Okada followed that with a rain maker and he picked up the wind for the heels. Almost half an hour they gave this match. It was just shine, maybe like around twenty seven to twenty eight minutes, which it did not need
to be that long. Uh, it was fun enough for what it was meant to be and what it was meant to be. Here was the usual fast paced spot you know, spotfest match that you see with the young Bucks, you know when we see them in these matches, and sometimes it works better than others. I mean, this was all action. It was NonStop, you know, no time to breathe. Boom boom boom, big spots, big sequences. That's really what
the match was. Again, your mileage will vary, I think on this show depending on how you felt about this opening match. I thought it was fun for what it was. I didn't go gaga over there were some silly stuff in there, but it was good. Yeah, it was a good opener. I didn't think that they would actually have Okada and Omega do even as much as they did, and they didn't do too much, but even that little bit that we got here because the novelty of it.
First of all, this is not the Okada and even the Omega necessarily, although Omega is still great, but it's been a very long time since we've seen that series of classic matches between these two, and I think it would be unrealistic for anybody to expect that in twenty twenty five, Kenny Omega and everything he's been through and Okada are going to go in there and have, you know, exactly the same type of match they had back in
twenty eighteen twenty seventeen. So I think the novelty of it is you want to keep them up and really not have them touch, or at least not touch very often until you get to Texas. The novelty of it is the idea of ding ding ding. Here we go and we got these two guys back in the ring together and they're finally locking up, you know, for the first time in seven years. So that's why I was surprised when they actually started going at it. I thought they would kind of tease it and then somebody would
interfere and we wouldn't get it. But you know, again, they gave us a little bit of that here. But you don't want the novelty to wear off too much. So between now in July, I really wouldn't do too
much between these two, you know. I wouldn't put them in too many situations, and they probably will because I would imagine these two were going to be involved in anarchy and the arena if they do a blood and guts match in advance of all In, I could see them both being involved in that, and I just sincerely hope we don't get too much interaction between them, because I don't want it to get to a point where we get to Texas and it's just like, well, I
kind of feel like I've already seen it, right, Although in that case, you'll have titles on the line. I'm sure it'll be, you know, champion against champion. There's been talk of maybe the titles being unified, which I think they should be. The continental title is pretty fucking useless at this point. I would unify them, have one singular international title. I think that's the way to go. Have Omega hand Ocotta his first, you know, big Law. I mean that wouldn't be his first loss, but his first
really major loss in an aw ring. So we'll see. But we got our first little taste of what's the come between these two. Yeah. The other thing about Dynamite that will I will give it a check mark in the win column tonight and why I think the show was more a little more enjoyable than a lot of the other shows were earlier in the year. Not a very heavy focus on the death Riders because the death
Riders are no good. And so whenever you have a Dynamite episode where the main focus is not John Moxley and the death Riders, that's automatically a green check mark right there, that automatically makes the show more enjoyable just by not having the primary focus on the Moxley's crew.
But they showed the Hurt Syndicate. They arrived and they were walking in the back as some Jabrons were chanting, we hurt people, We hurt people, right, they're just doing that in the back, and so they get disposed of very quickly. MVP says, well, you know what's even better than chanting, it's when we actually do it. So they all got their asses kicked, and MVP says, look, let's discuss the elephant in the room here, which of course is MJF. But Shelton Benjamin says, look, this isn't about me.
He's talking to Lashly now, and it tells Lashley, you know, this isn't about me. It's about MVP, and you got to trust the MVP. MJF is real and he's a funny guy. And MVP says, look, Max could be beneficial to us, and if MJF screws them over the end, we're gonna hurt him like he's never been hurt before. And Lashly smiles and it looks like maybe he's finally coming around, and you know, when the time comes to give thumbs up or thumbs down, maybe we'll finally get
a thumbs up. We'll get back to them a little bit later on. What they did though, was they followed an eight man tag team match with a six man tag team match. I don't know why Tony Kah made that decision, but that was a little odd. But we went right from the eight man tag to a trios match with the aw Trios champions, the Ops Samoa, Joe Katsiori, Shabada and Powerhouse Hobbs taking on Nick Camarado, Rhett Titus
and Miles Hawkins. Yeah. I have to say the Ops, they do look more menacing with Hobbs standing there beside them on stage than Hook, like it's it's night and day. In terms of them just looking like badasses. He really does fit the bill better than Hook does. Now I should mention because I don't think they mentioned this on commentary, but this was Camarado's first match since last August, and it was after that that he underwent what's called a
hip resurfacing surgery. So this guy was basically working on one good leg for the last couple of years, so he's been gone this entire time. This was his first match back. It did not last very long. He didn't have a lot of time here to test out the surgically repaired hip. Recked Titus kick things off with Joe,
who lit him up with strikes. Tagged in Shabata, Titus was tossed to his corner where Camarado tagged in, took part in a chop battle, which he lost, and then he quickly tagged in Hawkins and Hobbs made the tag. Tas brought up how Hook is recuperating more and more with each passing week, each passing day, and he will take care of business when the time is right. Am
I the only one I said this last week? And I don't know if I'm the only one reading into Taz's comments about Hook coming back when the time is right, doing what he needs to do, taking care of business. Hasn't said anything about going after the death Riders. He just says when he's ready. Hook will come back and
he will take care of business. And I hear that, and I maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I think he's going to be a little upset that he was replaced so easily by Hobbes, the way they just slid Hobbs in there, and now he's a champion and Hook is not. And I'm just wondering if that plays a part in Joe's downfall and that match he's going to have with Moxley in two weeks. You know, we could be getting a heel hook. I'm going to
leave the jokes to duffspids. We could be getting a heel hook though soon in aw anyway, this match didn't last very long. Hobbs lowered the straps, he hit a spinebuster on Hawkins and he got the quick win. This went maybe three minutes after the match to the Death Riders. They sprinted into the ring, attacked the Trios champions. Joe though he got the Cookina clutch sunk in on John Moxley on the ramp or you know, in the aisleway,
I should say. But when Joe's attention turned back in the ring, Claudio Castagnoli he set up a chair in the ring upside down, so with the legs facing up, and he delivered a neutralizer to Shibata onto the chair, so the same thing they did to Hook all those weeks ago. Death Riders bailed as Joe ran back to the ring, and Joe was not happy, and so Samoa, Joe, fire pandia. I should have given myself a little rim shot there. There you go. I got one in me every now and then, you know. But Joe took the
microphone and he screamed Mox's name. He says, it seems to him, John Moxley likes to come out and act like a boss, but when they start throwing hands, he acts like a little bitch. Mox came out here weeks ago and begged for him, and all he's trying to do is give him what he wants. But it seems like Moxley really doesn't want that. But John's already made his request. So let's give John and let's give the
people what they want. So if he's gonna fight John Moxley for the aw World Championship, then Moxley, you cowardly son of a bitch, let's do it inside the steel cage, and so that match will be taking place in two weeks at Beach Break May fourteenth in Chicago. Uh. I'm sure the cage will absolutely positively keep the death Riders out of this match, because that's what the cage is meant to do. And as we all know, the cage
of course, prevents everybody possibly getting involved. Nobody can penetrate the steel Cage of Doom, so I'm sure that cage will keep everybody out. Now, we went to Renee who did a sit down interview in the back with the Well, I mean, she's more than just the TBS champion, she's how many belts four belts? Monette, Mercedes Monette, and she brings up the Owen Hart Foundation Finals a double or
nothing against Jamie Hayter. Mercedes said that she could go on about the legacy of owen Hart, but this is about her legacy. She won the TBS title a year ago, a double or nothing, so what makes you think this year is going to be any different? And Renee mentioned that Mercedes possibly underestimating Jamie Hayter, who I think she says she's eleven and two since coming back, she's physically
bigger and stronger, than Mercedes. Mercedes said, look, she's been undefeated since arriving in AW a year ago twenty five and oh, Renee pointed out she's beaten the best from all over the globe. Every time she steps into the ring, she makes history. And she puts over hater for being scrappy and tough, but insults her Scooby Doo style, and she says a cartoon character cannot be DAW Women's World Champion. We'll get back to her a little bit later. After
a break, Renee was back again. She was in the back, this time with the patriarchy. She wants to know what it means for Nick Wayne to represent AW in the upcoming New Japan Best of the super Juniors. Jay Lethal was also there. The camera panned over and there's Jay Lethal just standing there, and Lethal says, Wayne still has a lot to prove. So how about tonight, the longest reigning Ring of Honor television champion of all time steps into the ring with the youngest champion in history. Nick
makes excuses. He's saying, well, you know, I haven't had time to get warmed up, and I'm getting ready for the Super Juniors is coming up soon. Christian cage, he snatches the microphone away and he accepts on Nick's behalf says Nick accepts. So Nick was caught off guard by this, and Christian told him, you want to be a champion, get your damn head in the game. So we had a brand new match made for later in the show.
Speaking of champions, after this, it was on to the AW Women's World champion, Timeless Tony Storm, who issued a challenge an open challenge this past weekend, and that open challenge to an eliminator match for the AW Women's World title was accepted by Tokyo Joshi Pro's Miu Yamashka, so
we had Miu Yamashta answering the challenge tonight. Yamasha is one of only three women in AW history to beat an AW Women's World Champion in an eliminator match to then go on to earn a shot at the AW Women's World title that came three years ago against thunder rosa cheat plug. We also have Yamashta next Friday making
her House of Glory return. She'll be going one on one with Indy Heartwell, both women shook hands before Tony worked over the arm Yamashta, though responded with kicks, backbreaker and a snapsuitplex led to Tony going up top, but she got cut off with a high kick to the face that sent her to the floor. Outside. Storm blocked a PK, she swept out the leg on the apron, and she tried a hip attack but she missed, and
so when she missed, she got wedged. Her ass got wedged in between the ropes, and so Yamashta is on the floor and she's got Tony's ass right in her face, and she literally begins kicking this woman's ass. So Luther comes over and he's trying to step in and he ended up effering the same fate. So it was all Yamashta. During the break, Roundhouse decked Storm, who dodged a second one into a snap released German. Storm charge for sweet cheek music, but ran right into a skull kick for
a close two count. Fisherman suplex with a high bridge got Tony a near fall. She wanted Storm zero. Yamashta, though, spun out into an attitude adjustment the buzz saw kick follow that. Tony, though dodged a running knee into another snap German that sent Yamashta into the corner, sweet cheek music connects and following that we had storm zero and that was it. That was all she wrote for MEU. This was fine, it was good even But they do
these random eliminator matches like this from time. They don't do what every week, but they do these random eliminator matches with people they bring in from outside the company. And Yamasha's made a few appearances before an AAW and I believe ring of honor, but you know, she's she's not an active member of the AW roster, and she's not established even as much as someone like a like a Mina Shiri Kawa right who is coming in full
time now. But there are people that will come in for long stretches of time, almost like they're on excursion before they disappear, and she's not one of those people. So they bring her in and she's a great wrestler, but I'm not sure that it necessarily, you know, resonated. I mean, she got a good reaction from the crowd, I'm not sure it resonated though in any kind of
major way. At least, they did give us a video package before the right before the match, we got a video package narrated by ian Rick Abani, who was speed reading through the history of her and how she ended up, you know, in this spot, and so at least we got that. But they're doing this again on Saturday. You know.
They announced that it's going to be Tony Storm another eliminator match taking on Lady Frost, and they said, well, Lady Frost has been on a real hot streak in CMLL, so therefore she has been tabbed to step into the ring with Tony Storm on Collision this weekend. After the match, though, we heard the CEO's music and Mercedes Monette walked out on stage. She addressed Tony Storm and said that she would come for what she deserves after she wins the
owen Hart Cup. We heard Jamie Hayter's music. She walked out, she decked Monette. She wanted a hater aide. Monet though, ducked it and ran off like she was on fire. Storm looked impressed because she was in the ring watching all this, and so Tony Storm looked very impressed by Hayter before she began this is what I wrote down. She is writhing around in the ring, That's what she was doing. I can't I hesitate to even call it dancing, because I'm not sure that's really what you would call it.
She was writhing around to Jamie's music like she was at a fucking rave, and that's how they ended the segment. By the way, you know, Mercedes running away like a cartoon character was peak irony when you consider earlier in the show. You know what she said about, we can't have a cartoon character the aw Women's World Champion, and there she was running away like a cartoon character. Jamie Hayter really should win this match. Jamie Hater really needs
to win this match at double or nothing. And I'm still holding out the slimmest little sliver of hope that that's what's going to happen here. I really thought they were going a different way though, you know, with Mercedes and Athena. Maybe they still will. It certainly doesn't feel that way anymore, which kind of bums me out. And it may well be that they're you know, they're certainly teasing.
This is the second time at least that we have gotten a pretty straightforward tease of an upcoming match between Mercedes and Tony. They want you to think that this is the match for all in in Texas. You know, I'm kind of hoping that they're just throwing us off the and that's not the direction that they're going in here.
Maybe that's just me coping and hoping, but really, Jamie Hater should win this match, and that way you get two big women's matches, at least two in Texas, one of which is Jamie Hayter and Tony Storm, who have their own history over the world title. And get back to Mercedes and Athena, you know, so we can get another match or a proper series of matches between these two women and have that match for the TVs Championship. You know, I'm still holding out hope that that's the
way it's gonna work. But I mean, boy, in the last few weeks, boy, has Athena disappeared. She hasn't been seen since the match with Mercedes. The first one Athena's disappeared Megan Bain at least on this show, been at least a couple of weeks, right, two, three weeks we haven't seen her. We go backstage to Don Kallis, who is with the family, and he's bragging about Brody King and will Osprey being beaten by Kenoski, Takeshita, and Josh Alexander.
Last week, he said that Kyle Fletcher would continue their streak and defeat Hangman Adam Page tonight to advance to the finals of the owen Hart Tournament. Fletcher said that he would go on to defeat will Osprey again and then he would become the aw World champion at all In and once he does that, everybody would be forced to put some respect on his name. The Hurt Syndicate.
They were out to the ring next. MVP said that they needed a unanimous vote to add a new member and they were going to do this one more time because they've already had a couple of votes. So this time they invited MJF to make his way out to the ring, and so out he came, and MJF first thing he did when he came out, he put over Shelton Benjamin. Then he put over MVP as one of his oldest friends in the business, oldest friends in this sport.
And then he came to Bob and he looked at Bob and he said, had a good car ride last week, And MVP could see that this was heading down a bad road. So he intervened and he said, look, it's time for a vote thumbs up from MVP, so that it was time for Shelton Benjamin to chime in here, and Shelton Benjamin also gave the thumbs up, and everybody cheered because they want to see MVP and Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley add MJF to the roster and so he could become kind of like what Sammy Zain was
to the bloodline. I guess what would be the thing I would equate this to if MJF were to join the Hurt syndicate. You know, we might be able to get some pretty entertaining segments out of it. I'm not really sure where or what it would lead to, but that it all came down to Bob has to be unanimous. So even though two of the three have said thumbs up,
Lashly has to say thumbs up as well. So he was milking and he had his hand out, the fist out, the thumb was sideways, and you know, he teased that the thumb was gonna go up, but then ultimately he gave it a thumbs down yet again, and so the vote fails and MJF will not be joining the Hurt syndicate. So now he's pissed off about this, and MJF says, he's about sick of Bob's shit. What is it exactly that you want? Says, I've given you women, I've helped
you win matches. There's I can give you money. I gave you a car. What is it that would intrigue you? Because how about some rogain, you big bald son of a bitch. So Lashley grabbed. That's a very bad thing to say to Bobby Lashley. So he grabs MJF by the jacket. He backs him into the corner like he's gonna murder this man, and he says, we hurt people. You want to impress me, says, you hurt somebody, and
MJF is begging for his life. This is a former AW World champion, the longest reigning AW World champion of all time, and this man is begging off like a jabrone here and he's just he's begging for his life. Goes, you made a point, you major point. You made your point. So another week, another rejection here, but this time Lashley told him what he needed to do. So that was a bit of a change. I still say that after
Lashley comes around, and he will. It may take a few more weeks, but we will get the thumbs up. And when Lashley gives that thumbs up, people are gonna pop huge. So after we get that and it looks like MJF is finally now a member of the Hurt Syndicate, I think that's when he fucks them over, and I think FTR walk out of Double or Nothing the new aw Tag Team Champions. You know, we still have a
month to set that match up, right. They just went heel, they put Copeland out, They have a brand new agent in Stokely, so it looks like they're prime for a push. Only one set of tag team titles here. I mean, you got Trio's belts, but you got two guys, So it would make sense that the Hurt Syndicate defend against FTR Double or Nothing. And even if Lashley says, okay, you're in. He has been embarrassing this man week after week, stringing him along, making him look like a fucking geek.
Of course MJF is going to screw him over in the end and pay him back for all of those embarrassing moments. And that's how you get those titles off the Hurt Syndicate, and if you really are serious about kind of rebooting FTR now his heels and giving them
a renewed push, that's what you do. You get the belts on them, and then if they want to, they could have them defend the belts against Copeland and Christian and Texas at all in if they still plan on reuniting them by then that match may end up being Attack Team Championship match, because you know, at some point Tony Khn, whether it's Texas or later in the year, Tony Khn wants those titles on Copeland and Christian at least once he wanted them on the Hardies. You know,
Jeff Hardy made that impossible. It's the only reason they didn't win them. But he's definitely gonna want those titles on Copeland and Christian. The two of them are going to want to have one last run together anyway. So that's how I see this playing out. And then I think what we end up with in Texas is MJF one on one against Bobby Lashley. That's where I think
this is going. Now, we had Nick Wayne one on one with Jay Lethal for the Ring of Honor television titles, so we had a Ring of Honor mid card championship defended here on Dynamite, which is one of my least favorite things. Wayne walked out alone, but his entrance was quickly cut off by Christian Cage's music. He walked out
with Kip Sabian and mother, Wayne, Lethal and Nick. They try rated headlock takedowns before Wayne went outside to regroup, where Cage whispered some advice in his ear whispered some sweet nothings. Nick was in control heading into the break. Lethal got in a few pen attempts before connecting on a lethal combination for a near fall. Lethal went up top, but he took too long. Nick cut him off. He
wanted a superplex. Lethal, though fought free and he successfully hit the diving elbow, or so it appeared, because upon landing, Wayne caught him into a cradle for a close two count. Lethal tried a lethal injection, but Nick raped the eyes. He hit a roundhouse kick and a Fisherman's buster for
the wind to retain the title. After the match was over, Cage held onto the ROHTV title and Nick was trying to take it away from him, and Christian told him to turn around so that he can put the belt on him, and he strapped the belt around his waist, and then he smirked and he gave him a golf clap before leaving, and Wayne just kept looking at him very suspiciously. I just talked about Copeland and Christian in
the future reunion, which will happen, it's guarantee. I think we know that it's really just a matter of when. For all this talk, not only on my show, but I'm sure other people as well are looking at all in Texas, you know, is the time for a potential reunion here? It doesn't feel that way. It feels like they're building to a match with Christian and Nick Wayne. That's really what this is kind of building up to.
It doesn't have to be in Texas, but that's the direction that it feels like they're heading in right now. So I don't know if they if they end up doing that match in Texas, I don't know if they end up doing that match maybe all out, maybe instead of all in, it's all out, you know, and they let it simmer for a little bit more before either Christian kicks him out or you know, Wayne breaks free because the whole thing is that, you know, when Copeland
comes back, he's to be a babyface. If he was going to team up with Christian, you've got to set that story up and Christian would have to be a babyface, So you got to get there first. How that affects what is going on right now with Nick Wayne, I don't know, but this is this is the match they're teasing and building out right now. You know, because Copeland, we haven't seen him since he got taken out of Dynasty. I don't know when the next time we're going to
see him again is going to be. And they closed the show with the best part of the show, by far, the best part of the show, which was the final semifinal round match in the Owen Heart Tournament. Hangman Adam Page one on one again to the proto Star the Future in aw Kyle Fletcher, with the winner challenging Will Osprey a double or nothing on May twenty fifth. These two men, they went back and forth before Hangman delivered a heavy chop to the chest and Fletcher rolled outside
to recover. He took a sweet time getting back in the ring, taunted Hangman, and so in return, Hangman spanked his ass that's what he did. Fletcher escaped to the floor again to avoid a buckshot lariot attempt. Page, though, followed him out and delivered a lariat that sent Fletcher over the barricade and into the timekeeper's area. So they
went to commercial. When they came back, Fletcher's his lower back was bleeding and I think what happened is he collided with the led barricade and it just cut him up. So Page landed a death valley driver for a near fall. Fletcher hit the ropes. Hangman caught him and delivered a fallaway slam. He delivered a springboard clothesline that sent Fletcher, who was on the apron, down to the floor. Page
attempted to climb the ropes for the Orijara moonsalt. Fletcher cut him off and delivered a brainbuster on the apron. Kyle then attempted a moonsalt off the barricade. Hangman caught him into a tombstone pile driver on the floor and that he took us into the final commercial break of the show. Hangman delivered a superplex just as they came back. Fletcher returned fire with a half and half. Hangman hit a sit out powerbomb. In response, back and forth we went.
He attempted a dead eye, Fletcher avoided it. Hang Mango got it on the second attempt, only got a two count. Hangman attempted a moonsalt. Fletcher, though, got the knees up, and then he delivered a lager bomb. Now Hangman makes a comeback. He went to the apron for the buckshot. Lariet Fletcher, they'll cut him off with a kick. So Hangman replies with a dead eye on the apron and then a moon salt on the floor. So he then lined up for a buckshot, and at that point Kyle Fletcher.
Kyle Fletcher shoves referee Paul Turner out of the way and as Hangman comes in, he gets kicked in the balls. Just as he was propelling himself into the ring. He got kicked in the balls. He covered Hangman, who kicked
out and the place went nuts. Fletcher, speaking of nuts, Fletcher placed Hangman on the ropes for a super brainbuster, but Hangman clotheslined his way out of that and follow that up with a buckshot lariot kind of variation over the turnbuckles out of the corner, and then very quickly scurries out to the apron and hits a proper Buckshot, and he picks up the win to punch his ticket to the finals of this tournament. A tremendous piece of business.
This main event was Kyle Fletcher. Star continues to rise, But there really was no point in running him and Osprey back again. The last time we saw these two, they had that big cage match and Osprey won. So what's the point in running it back a second time and just having Will beat him again? Right? We know Osprey is winning. If you do that match, there's absolutely
no debate whatsoever. Now in this case is a little bit different because with Hangman, you could appstely make the argument that, you know what, I could see him challenging John Moxley for that championship. Right the Cowboy rolls on into Texas trying to be the savior of AW. I still say it's Osprey's cup to lose. I still have him pegg to win the entire thing. I think it's gonna be him going to Texas, and I think we end up with Hangman and Swerve against the Young Bucks.
That's my early prediction for Texas. I still feel that way as I did a few weeks ago. But at least in this case, it does make the match a little less predictable because you can make the argument that either one of those guys could very well win and go on to the main event of that Arlington show. So it just makes more sense to do it. It's a first time ever match. It's gonna be I mean, as great as this match was, Ospury and Hangman is
going to be fucking awesome. We all know that. So it's going to be a tremendous main event on that show, as far as that Torment main event. But I mean in the tournament, in the main event of the tournament, I don't see them closing the show with that. What I did think, though I was happy that this didn't happen, I thought, what might happen is they might send MJF out there to cost Hangman the match and then lay a beatdown on him after the match is over. After
what Lashley said to him earlier in the show. You want to prove yourself to me, You want to prove your worth, your value to this group. We hurt people. That's what you need to do. You need to go out and hurt someone, so I thought there was a chance that he might cost Hangman and then beat him up, and it could still happen, I suppose, But I'm glad it didn't happen tonight. I'm glad we had a clean match outside of being kicked in the dick, you know
what I mean. It was mostly clean match with a decisive winner in the end, and again it was the right winner. So you look at what we have here for double or nothing. In the finals of these tournaments. You have will Osbury and Hangman Page, You've got Mercedes Monet and Jamie Hayter. Those are two damn fine matches, you know, to close out both of these owen Hart tournaments. The issue now is that we have four weeks. You know, usually when you get to this stage of the game
in a tournament, the final is like next week. We have four weeks until we get there. What are they gonna do in the meantime, especially when it comes to Mercedes and Jamie. That's what I'm more curious about, because with Hangman there's any number of things he could be involved, and again there's still that story with him and Swerve. Are we going to get some interaction with him and the death riders, Like, there's other things you could be
doing with him, with Mercedes and Jamie. What are they going to do to keep things interesting between now and then? You know, that's on them, that's on Tony Kahn to keep it interesting enough where it doesn't feel like shit, we got way too much time between now and then and they're just dragging this out. So that's the only
potential drawback I see. There might be too much time, almost like a WrestleMania thing where I like the road to WrestleMania this year, this build was nothing like what it was last year, and we had more time because WrestleMania was later this year. It was the latest WrestleMania they've ever done, and it felt like it. I mean, there were weeks where it's like, what are we doing here? We're just sort of killing time now that it's almost like they ran out of ideas and things to do.
Hopefully we don't get that here with this crew. But those two matches are gonna tear down the house at double or nothing, and that was dynamite. That was dynamite. That's it. That's the show. Not much else to say about it. I enjoyed the main event there were other parts of the show that I liked, but I didn't enjoy anything the way I enjoyed the main event. If that main event wasn't the main event on this show, I would have a much more negative opinion of the
show because they're just I don't know. There just wasn't a whole lot else going on that just grabbed me. They tried to move some things along, The MJF Hurt Syndicate stuff was just kind of more of the same. They're really milking this for all it's worth. With Tony Storm, you know, forget the eliminator match, the stuff with Mercedes coming out and then Jamie Hater coming out. So they gave you a couple of teases there for what the
match could be. In Texas, they threw a bunch of aims in the opening tag match and the Heels won. It's like, okay, so what It didn't really advance anything. We got, We got a little interaction between Omega and Okada. It just didn't feel like there was a whole hell of a lot going on on this show. It was all about that for me anyway. It was all about that main event. Some people are gonna really love that opening match. I didn't love it. It was fine, but
that main event was excellent. What did you think of Dynamite Tonight from Norfolk, Virginia Thirty five and a half percent thumbs up, twenty four percent thumbs in the middle, and right around forty point four percent thumbs down. So you can go vote on x at Solo Monster Place to Go. And again here's the new the new T shirt for Josh Alexander. HM, Hey, DJ two K what's going on? Brother? It says it was at the show tonight and it was my first wrestling show. I know
it was a basic show, but tons of fun. Being in my hometown and getting to see Kenny and Okada it was amazing. Well, look, I mean I always say it, you know, I always say it that never been to a show before, especially one of the TV shows. First time you go, it's always going to be a good time. Unless they really give you a shit card, it's always going to be a good time. I think if you've done it a whole bunch of times, it's for a while it's like all right, you know, I kind of
get it. But if it's your first time, you're almost always going to have a good time. All right, let's take a look at your super chats here. I don't think we have too many to go through here, and we are at two hundred and eighty seven likes, so we're lagging on to be the booker for tonight. I don't know if that's gonna happen, but let's run through these and maybe we'll eke one out here at the end. Hey, Sanders,
it dropped a twenty dollars super chat earlier. Actually, before I even get to Sanders, we had DROREPI I said, rest in peace. Mets super fan Seymour Wiener. I mentioned that on TNT last night. Very sad Mets tweeted that out we lost Wiener yesterday, ninety eight years old World War Two veteran Big Mets fan Sanders says, I have an idea for a future Jay and Sammy feared. What if Jay suggests they become brothers, which would make Sammy an official member of the family tree. That would make
Jay or Sammy's future betrayal all the more painful. Yeah, I don't. I don't see the point in doing that. He's already an honorary use. It's it's completely unnecessary. There's already a bond there, brother, Like, they're already bros. They're dogs, that's what they call themselves. Right, you're my dog. They're already tight. It's completely unnecessary. You don't need to do that, Joseph Stewart. Were you a fan of Mancho Man and Elizabeth in the nWo. No. I wasn't a fan of
Elizabeth's run in WCW in general. It just felt awkward to me, felt awkward and out of place. Do you think the rock This is Your Life from Raw in nineteen ninety nine is one of the greatest segments in Raw history? Yeah, I mean it's one of the more memorable ones. It's not, you know, top three or five or anything like that, but it's certainly was one of the more entertaining segments and one of the highest rated in the history of the show for sure. Tuxedo t
Troll or No Troll. If Alexa Bliss wants to be relevant on camera again, her next contract will be with AW or TNA. I would say, if you actually want her to not be relevant, that would be the thing for her to do. You talk about relevancy for her, I think the best thing is to stay where she is and just hope you know that they pull their head out of their ass and they get her back on TV soon. But I think WWE is the place for her to be. Joseph Stewart by yourself, Christopher Reeve
is Superman or Michael Keaton as Batman. I'm a Batman guy. I'm not a Superman guy, So for me, I go Michael Keaton. But when I think Superman, I do think Christopher Reeve. No cap Hey Solo. Have you seen Sinners? And do you have a favorite vampire movie? I have not seen Sinners, although I've seen all the great reviews for it, so I may have to see it at some point. I'm not going to the theater to see it. A favorite vampire movie. Fright Night, I gotta go fright Night.
What was that? Eighty five? Joseph Buyer Sell Caesar Romero as the Joker or Frank Gorshen as the Riddler? Man, I go Frank. I like Frank Gorshen is the Riddler. Also Adam West as Batman or George Reeves as Superman. Adam West, how was that? Even a question ed swoggle tentatively going to double or nothing? Was psyched to hear about the cage match till they said it would for beach break and not double or nothing. It should be on pay per view. Well, they want to do anarchy
in the arena. I assume that's why they're blowing it off on TV. Duffs VIDs. Why did Michael Jackson have an allergic reaction? He got stung by a bee? He's so stupid. Rachel sell her artreving problem. Hey, Liver Morgan is with us. She's on her way to Hollywood to begin filming her movie next week. Retro says, what is
Hulk Hogan's least favorite kind of tea? Reality? Remember that show that his shitbag son was pitching to him over the phone on those jailhouse tapes when he was briefly locked up all those years ago, telling his dad, get me set up for one of those reality TV shows. We can call it reality Fucking Dick Duff's VIDs. What's Michael Jackson's favorite painting? The mona Lehi hesa? Okay, now it's just getting worse. It's just didn't think it was possible.
What do you call a midget psychic escaping from prison? A small medium at large? A small medium at large? Dan Richards twenty three months of channel membership. Not sure what you are talking about. Thanks Dan, I wasn't aware. Apparently you can't have a sense of humor on the internet because some people just they don't have one. Thank you, Dan, What would I do without you? Bass Beer? Is any update on Darby's climb? I think he's about to start
or he just started. There's a blog that's posting photos, and I believe he had he just began, so I think that's the update on him. Bass Beer is also have you ever seen the chaperone? I didn't see it. No Number one, almost Sapien. What do you call a duck that steals? A robber duck? A robber duck. I ran out of tomatoes to throw, otherwise I would throw on at you. Right now, bass Beer is considering how over he is. Why isn't Osprey the champion? He will
be just give it a few months. They're building to it. He's about to go to the finals of the tournament to crown a number one contender. Brother, He's on his way. Be Money says, don't know if it has been asked yet, but will you be doing any dark side of the Ring reviews on the Tony Atlas, Billy Graham and Eddie Gilbert episodes. I'm going to try to do one. I'm gonna try to do a double this weekend and cover
Graham and Eddie Gilbert. Tony Atlas I'm not doing. I watched it, it was okay, but at this point I don't have time to go back and do that, So Tony Atlas is lost. I might do one on Billy Graham, and I will do one on Eddie Gilbert. So that's the update on that. And e J. Slim my brother and I take a Midwest trip each year. Past stops include Casey and the Twin Cities. This year Detroit or Milwaukee. What is your pick? I have not been to either Detroit or Milwaukee, so I have no dog in the
hunt here. I can't say that I like one and hate the other. I'm gonna say Detroit though, have fun. Whatever you choose, have fun. Aratia is chiming in with a three dollars super chat. Do you think WWE is missing a true evil bad guy. Most of the heels are goofy or anti heroes speaking the truth. I think that's why fans are heel. Now, there is a lot of shades of gray with some of those characters. We've seen it with Kevin Owens, We've seen it with Drew
McIntyre to some extent with Seth Rollins. Now we're seeing the same thing. So yeah, I mean, who is really that one true top evil bad guy that they have gunther gun through Maybe the closest thing because the WWE audience they genuinely seem to like Pat McAfee. So when he beat up Pat McAfee, he got pretty good heat for that. Even Dominate the heat machine, you know, has been getting more positive reactions of late, So yeah, we really don't have that right now. And certainly now John Cena.
You know, this this heel turn that he's been doing, it's a very basic pro wrestler turns heel you know, for like the big heel turn that so many people were waiting for for all these years. It's been a huge to me anyway so far. Maybe it'll get better as things go along since he's going to be here for a while yet, But that's I think they are missing that, you know. And it's not going to be a bron breaker because bron Breaker is too cool for school.
I mean, people think he's cool. I don't think they want to boo him. They might boo him, but they're never going to really fully boo him because I think they just think he's too much of a badass. So yeah, I think that is what's missing. Well, anyway, this was a very simple stream, not a whole hell of a lot to get into here. Honestly, on this Dynamite show is a very basic show overall, but an excellent main event. Next time I'm with You Live will be the first
stream for the month of May. That's this Friday. I was not here for SmackDown last week. I will be here for SmackDown this week, and then I will not be here again next week for SmackDown because I will be in Chicago. But this week I will be here. Go check out the raw review from the other night. Hopefull on Friday we'll be able to hit our goals so we could be the booker tonight. Tonight was not it, but we will try again on Friday. So until then, I'll see you guys Friday night. Ticker
