And those who would like to inquire within following is the Masters article from the July, 20, 22 Trestle board. Let Freedom Ring. It's more than just a cliche or the ending. Verse to a famous song is the very fabric of social Society. In fact, contained within the First Amendment of the Constitution, we find our ability to meet in our individual lodges are right or Freedom that many countries do not allow for. In fact, in some countries it is a criminal offense with severe
penalties attached. Yes we live in one of the Use countries in the world. Yet many take this freedom for granted as a military veteran this site can attest, freedom is anything but free. If you have ever read our constitution or at least the first 10, amendments, the Bill of Rights it is eye-opening as to how much thought our forefathers, many of them Freemasons put into crafting, these first 10 amendments and how their experience with
tyranny figured into the result. As you read it, the influence of ancient Brethren comes through loud and clear. We are very fortunate to have these great men and Mason's as contributors to such a valuable tool as our country's own constitution. In tonight's lecture, we shall refer to the many celebrated artist that helped to design and construct. So many monuments of antiquity are these writings yet. Another example of this as we celebrate, our Declaration of Independence this month.
Let us pause for just a moment to thank all the artists that have contributed to making our country, the land of the free, and the home of the brave, happy Fourth of July. And be safe out there. Charles as Haze master. Let Freedom Ring from the West. As we celebrate our two hundred
and forty sixth year. Since the creation of the first two, precious documents, the Declaration of Independence in 1776 and then the Bill of Rights coming in 1791, each representing the iconic beginning of this, magnificent experiment in democracy. In these United States, we can and should reflect on where this nation finds itself. The revolution, the founders launched continues to this day. So much is debated as to the meaning and efficacy or the
existence not. An existence of specific new desired rights and those rights being considered as additions deletions to the Bill of Rights seems to make us into a modern-day Tower of Babel. It's messy because democracy is not an easy game. We are learning the hard way that our nation cannot take care of itself.
This is woefully apparent. It requires thoughtful, guidance and accurate decisions, needed laws, meaningful legislation, and right policies to manage and maintain the greatest good and above all gaining consensus for democracy to work at its best. We need a citizenry worthy of it from which will come Future Leaders and presidents who can only pray. They are able to bring people together in unity and govern
thoughtfully. And at this stage of human history here, and around the world technological, advancements are Beyond dazzling, but our human states
of mental progress. Seem to be going in reverse, maybe it's an inverse relationship between the two even among those who should know better especially those in prominent positions, at least in this moment, our great institutions have been made possible by these documents have been developed over time and breath in scale to preach stunning capabilities in order to accommodate complex societal
functions. Us. And yet we seem to see this mandate being eroded from within, I won't mention the corruption that has been coddled by insiders. We can step out of our respective political silos and protest. Venues to come to understanding of what sort of difficult
debates. The founders themselves struggled with to find consensus and they did, this is a sharp lesson for demagogues who are mostly about raging accusation and little Nuance. Another sharp lesson Such learning entails and in-depth, study of nuanced, writings from those learned and courageous Giants who were involved in the formation of the ideals that we live under and take for granted. It seems our capacity for Desiring.
This understanding has withered, in fact too many today are aggressively dismissive or completely. Ignorant of the founders efforts, not caring for or knowing that it was a centuries-long trans historical setting that culminated in our nation's founding along with a lengthy cast of Individuals before and after who contributed to these unprecedented events which are inexplicably rare in human Affairs of governance and nothing is perfect.
You know? No. Other political Doctrine ideology or system will ever be greater only because this founding has hauled up from the very depths of Humanity's long, desire for Freedom, regardless of its difficulty in practice. We know many of the founders were Freemasons or were surrounded by them, a main and Superior purpose of the lodge is the study and reflection of wisdom from all serious sources from.
