Welcome to Solidarity Sister, a gathering podcast for women with your host, Kristen Wilson. I'm an ocean lover, an audio book addict, a curator of words and melodies, an ADHD mama of eight, yes, eight kids, a wife of 25 years and a disciple. Solidarity Sister is a hopeful podcast for women who want to learn how to do the hard parts of life in community.
We'll interview women who've been through trials and trauma, holding space for the hard while exploring practical tools for healing, moving forward, and reaching out to both serve and be served. Have you ever had a friend or neighbor face a huge trial, like the death of a spouse or child, or huge betrayal in a marriage, and your reaction was to go silent because you didn't know how to reach out?
We need connection more than ever, and this podcast will give you the tools to break that silence and show up in meaningful ways. Each episode will help you feel less alone, more optimistic, and ready to reach out and form authentic connections with women around you who will hold space for you to come as you are and empower you to keep moving forward.
I started this podcast because my ADHD brain saw a podcast boot camp ad on Facebook, and I knew deep inside that this was something I needed to do. I know there are millions of women slogging through life, feeling alone, overwhelmed, and like they aren't enough. They are hiding their challenges because this Pinterest worthy world has programmed us to feel ashamed of the struggle. I know. Because I've been there. Please know, my dear sisters, that the struggle is where we grow.
As we become comfortable holding space for the discomfort, we can form lasting connections with others and rise up to live lives we don't need to numb out from. We can love well and be loved well, together. If you relate to real women doing their best through challenging and messy times, please like, share, and subscribe. Subscribe, leave a five star review, and share with those you know who need more community. Come and join us each Wednesday when new episodes are released.
Thank you for being part of the Solidarity Sister community. We needed you.
