Episode description

S@x trafficking. What comes to mind when you see those words? Across the world, in a dark place, on another continent? Women who are “working the streets”? All the above are true, but also in our own backyard, s@x trafficking is a a reality, in our own schools and communities here in Louisville and across the country. On this weeks show, Kurt and Chad welcome “DJ” (name changed for sensitivity and nature of his job) who works locally and nationally with the organization Slavery No More https://slaverynomore.org who works to free some of the 45 million slaves worldwide, most being women and children, from a life of slavery. DJ talks about his encounters with young girls living out a nightmare everyday, from major sporting events, to local hotels where young girls are drugged and found passed out, to “massage” parlors you pass by everyday on your way to dropping off your kids, the epidemic is right under our noses, and there is something we can do about it. DJ talks about what he does as a volunteer to help the woefully understaffed law enforcement collect info on the people who are committing these crimes and helping rescue these children and young women out of this lifestyle. Listen to found out what is going on and ways we can be involved to stop this problem. God’s children matter to Him, they should matter to us. https://slaverynomore.org
