Cabin Fever has hit!
It has been pretty cold here the past week -20 degrees temps with -35 to -45 windchills, so and I am starting to feel the walls closing in on me...Cabin Fever. Between not being able to travel much due to Covid and winter, I am ready to hit the road. Next year at this time we will both be retired and able to do what we want without having to juggle schedules arouund with jobs. Can't wait for that to happen. Grandma always said “We will make do”
My grandma was a wise woman. She raised her family during the Great Depression. Food sometimes was scarce, but she always shared with those who had less than her. She had the ability to always “make do” with what she had available. She passed that on and taught all of us how to “make do” when we maybe felt like we had less than we needed. Monday Morning music
Monday mornings this past Summer have been filled with teaching guitar, ukulele, percussion and putting together music to any grandchild that is interested. Surprisingly, I have had multiple takers on the offer and we have had some fun jam sessions with 12-13 of the kids together on a Sunday afternoon barbecue. This recording was one of the older kids, first take and she did pretty good. What a blessing to be able to pass on playing and making music to the next generation.
