Episode description

Lydia Jacoby shocked the swimming world by winning the 100 breaststroke at the 2020 Olympics. This win cemented her as one of the most interesting American swimmers, but how well do you know Lydia Jacoby?

From humble beginnings in Alaska, where she was part of a folk band, Lydia now attends the University of Texas in Austin and continuing her success by winning the 100 breaststroke at NCAAs. She is enjoying the larger team environment, lifting weights and doing breaststroke kick on her back to help her continue to catch other breaststrokers at the end of the 100 breast. We discuss why no one says “that is a beautiful breaststroke” and if we should be saying Lydia has the most beautiful breaststroke of all-time.

Do you think Lydia has the most beautiful breaststroke of all-time, or is that an oxymoron? Enjoy!
