185. Nicole Baxter - Finding the Fun In the Game Again

Today on the podcast we have midfielder Nicole Baxter. Nicole played on Gotham FC last year and before that played professionally in Sweden. Nicole tells us about her journey, from graduating college to getting a desk job and finding out she had lyme disease which caused her to take a step back. Part of her recovery was living a "stress-free" life which included for Nicole an outlet to have fun and that's where she picked soccer back up and led her to playing professionally. We also learned about her belief in the power of social media being able to show not just the highlights but the real struggles and moments of being a professional player.
