What's going on Manchester United fans. My name is Drew Dickinson and welcome to this edition of the three D Friday. Thank you so much for joining, Thank you so much for listening wherever you may be. Of course, you can catch the three D each and every week right here on the SDH network. And the main topic each and every week is my beloved Manchester United, and we're gonna get right into it. Lots to talk about, of course.

United just ended their twenty twenty five Premier League Summer Series tour here in America, saw them defeat west Ham and New York, travel to Chicago where they defeated Bournemouth, and just round it out here in Atlanta with a two to two draw against Everton. Get into that in just a moment, but first I want to talk about the exciting news the one of the biggest transfer sagos

of the summer. It's actually the second biggest, United already involved in the first with Brian Umbumo, but it is official. Benjamin Cesco is a Manchester United player. I came to you guys yesterday with a three D with breaking news the signing of the twenty twenty Easy for me to say twenty two year old Slovenian from Red Bull Leipzig.

According to sources, David Ornstein and Forbitzia Romano fee of sixty six point four million pounds, with seven point four million pounds in add ons and here in America that's about ninety eight point eight million dollars. Deal also includes a sell on clause which, if you're unsure what that is, it entitles Red Bull Leipzig to a percentage of any futures transfer if United were to ever sell Benjamin Cesco.

Of course, he made it clear he only wanted United this summer, told his agent, whatever you gotta do to get me there, please, let's do it. That meant waighing part of his salary, and even this is kind of unheard of. In twenty twenty five, the agent gave up a massive share of his commission all to make the move to Manchester United possible. He could have earned more money wage wise by going to Newcastle. But I take the words right out of the mouth of the wonderful

Fabrizio Romano. Don't underestimate Manchester United. Cesco and his agent have flown to Manchester. They flew in yesterday. They don't want to wait anymore. He said, you know we're supposed to fly in on Saturday. You'll get through the week come over on the weekend. He said, no, I want to fly in today. I do not want to wait. So his medical is scheduled for was scheduled for later

today and hopefully he'll be unveiled, in veiled. Hopefully he'll be revealed to the old Trafford crowd tomorrow morning when United face Fiorentina. But think about this. You've got the very talented Benjamin Chesco playing as the number nine. You've got Matteias Kuna playing as the left sided number ten, and of course Brian and Buomo playing as the right side number ten. Ahmad behind him as the right wing back, Bruno Fernandez bringing the ball up the pitch, creating doing

what he does best. Man there could really, really, really be an exciting season four United. Benjaminchesco twenty two two. Benjaminchesco twenty two year old Slovenian, a Manchester United player, now back to the to two draw Sunday in Atlanta against Everton. It was the last game of the American Tour, the Premier League Summer Series Tour. If you will, we got to see the debut of Brian and Boomo. It was like it was a starting attack of Cunya kind

of playing as that false nine. Bruno starting on the left as the left side of number ten with Patrick Dorgu or excuse me, with Diogu Dalo behind him. We had Ahmad starting as the right wing back behind Brian im Boomel who was the right side a number ten who I told you was making his Manchester United debut. Things got off a little a little slow for United.

The press really was kind of non existent. But you got to take your hats off to Jordan Pickford, who is one of the best goalkeepers in the world at distributing and playing out from the back, so it made that press a little difficult to come alive. We saw some great build up play down the right side with Ahmad a couple of times. We saw him and Cunya just at the beginning of the game. I want to say, within five minutes get inside the box. Cunya had some

great cuts inside the eighteen. Ahmad found him, Kunya laid the ball across the mouth the goal, nobody was there to finish. You could also see lots of how do I say, this, you could see Everton having lots of attack as well. I mean, you couldn't count them out the entire game. They got right after Bruno was able to get the penalty kick in the net. At the nineteenth minute, Everton were able to sneak one in the back post as well, tied up one to one. That's

how the first half ended. Coming the second half, United started off a little bit stronger, had some substitutions. Mason Mount scores an incredible goal. You saw him score a couple of those last season from the left side of the eighteen where he receives it, turns kind of no look and hits it back post with a cute, sweet little bend on It made it two to one. But again,

like I said, can't really count Everton out. They were able to score double their goals, double their goals and tied up and that's how the game ended at two two. But look, there's a lot to take out of that game, good or bad. But for me, I was mostly impressed with Lenny Euro. The nineteen year old came over from Lele He chose United last summer over Real Madrid, which is just fantastic. You can see the match period of this kid right before your eyes. We saw some shines

of it last year. He unfortunately got injured the beginning of the season, didn't really get to make his debut until the season got underway. But he's he's superb in the back, absolutely dominant in the air. But what's most impressive for me is his ball carrying ability. He saw United sometimes morph into that four four two while in attack. The entire time that happened, there's one person with the ball at their feet, and that was Lenny Euro bringing

it out from the back. So I asked myself, is this a tactical tweak from Ruben mrim And or the growth of Lenny Euro. Fortunately, SDH was able to catch up with the young Parisian postgame and to collect his thoughts on the confidence from himself and from the manager. As you guys can see, the kid oozes confidence and obviously seems to have the true us from the manager. Definitely, definitely a player to keep your eye on during the season. Okay, transfers,

we'll start with outgoings. United have officially set a price for Alejandro Garnaccho fifty million dollars, and I stated last week the kid only wants Chelsea. That seems to be his destination because it's either Chelsea or he's gonna stay at United. But both of the clubs have begun talks over the young Argentine. We'll see where that goes in the next few days. No news on Jaden Sancho. The word between United and Juventus is kind of out of stalwart right now. No news, so I guess no news

is good news. We'll find out more on that as it develops. Real Batist still trying their best to figure out a way to get Anthony over the line. He's also got a lot of offers from clubs all over the world, particularly Saudi Arabian clubs, who I think would be ready to pay that fee. But I'm unsure if Anthony wants to go to Saudi Arabia. Of course he needs to do something to get playing time if he wants to impress Carlo Encelotti, who is the new Brazilian

head coach. Of course, the World Cup coming to America next year, Anthony's gonna have to find some playing time. Look at Rashford, he found his move to Barcelona, where he seems to be fitting in. Well, he's gonna be looking to impress Thomas Tookel to get back in the England squad for the World Cup next year. But back to the three d incomings. Already spoke about Benjamin Chesco and here's the big one. Here's another another transfer saga

brewing here for Manchester United. Reports came out yesterday United and Brighton Hove Albion have opened talks on what a potential move would cost for the Cameroonian defensive midfielder Carlos Balliba. Brighton have officially set the price at one hundred and four million pounds, which you know can We've seen We've seen Brentford stand tall and strong with their evaluation of m Boomo and I see it being so late in

the window, Brighton want to do the same. They have a predecessor who is out on loan right now for Balliba. You know they had Cisato go to Chelsea. Balliba came up and immediately took over and showed exactly why Brighton are fantastic at developing these young defensive midfielders. He's he as in Balliba, a ball carrying defensive midfielder and that's

one thing that this club lacks. It lacks that ball progressor we talked about Euro doing it out of the back is as a central as a center back, but we need more speed and more aggression in the midfield. Envoy, does Carlos Balliba check all of those boxes? Like I said, Brighton have set the price at one hundred and four million pounds and I fear that it might be too much, too late in the window for United and Brighton to be able to do business. But Brightoner is selling club,

so let's see what United can do. My main question for this move though, is who's plan b You know, Ruben is pushing for a midfielder hard behind the scenes, and like I said, Balaba seems to check the boxes, but you're gonna have to need a backup plan and we just unsure of who that is at the moment. Right now, it seems that United are all in for Balliba and just like all the others, will keep everyone

up to date as things develop. But just think after Mateus Kunya, after Brian and Boomo, after Benjamin chesco in just two months here with Ineos's second summer in charge, really their first with their new coach that they wanted, guys, and this would be a shock to me in the least, But of course, as everything when it comes to indgoings

and outgoings, I'll have more information once things develop. Now mentioned it a little earlier on in the broadcast or in the show, but we're gonna put a bow on preseason tomorrow morning as United welcome in I, Fior and Tina to Old Trafford. Just another opportunity for Ruben Emmerim to work out those kinks, whether it's tactically, whether it's the lineup. He prefers so many different things that tomorrow can spell for United. I'm just unsure of how he

goes about it. Well, Brian and Boomo get more minutes. I expect to see that, and I wouldn't be shocked if we saw. Once again, I stated that what we see against Everton could possibly be the starting eleven for the Arsenal game. That's I believe on the seventeenth of August. But with the signing of Benjamin Cisco, things could be completely different come August seventeenth. But I do think that tomorrow will get a good eye idea of what the eleven will look like against Arsenal. Of course, I said

maybe more minutes for m Buomo andre Onnanna. He won't feature tomorrow. He's still nursing that injured hamstring. He hopes to be back for the Arsenal game. Los Angele Martinez also not expected to play. I read some reports that he won't be back in the Fold until probably September, which isn't too far away. Fiorentina, of course, finished sixth in siri R last season, so it's a good little

test here for United before the season starts. Moyses Keene Edinjeco a couple of players that will feature for Fiorentina. But let's be honest, guys, the only thing anyone is talking about regarding this matchup Saturday morning is the return of David Dejeya. He's coming home back to Old Trafford where he grew up, where he was born in bred

in this professional soccer I suspect, of course. He was brought over from Spain by Sir Alex Ferguson, another one of those hand picked players like Christianna Ronaldo by Fergie and Dehea just took the club by storm. He won two Premier League Gold Gloves. He was four time Manchester United Player of the Year, one time Premier League champion, one time Europa League Champion, two time League Cup winner

and one FA Cup. You know, between Peter Schmichael and David de Haea, the two best goalkeepers in my opinion, in the history of the existence of Manchester United. Dave Sabes, if you will, there's a lot of there's a big period of time to where United were still finishing top four, still going to Champions League. But we're kind of kind of an outcast, you know, just weren't the same dominant you know that they were before and one of the reasons why United were able to stay in the forefront

of European soccer. David de Haa, he came to the rescue so many times and was I a proponent of Andrea Nanna coming in to United. Yeah, of course, you know, a new coach, a new regime, change was needed. Did it happen too fast? Did it happen a little disrespectfully? Yeah? I think it did. An absolute club legend, and he just he kind of got it. He kind of got the short end of the stick. So I'm sure Old Trafford will give him the warm welcome and the ovation

that he deserves. Welcome back to Old Trafford, Dave. I hope it is a great homecoming for you, but I still hope United put it to you, give you some give you some tests inside the goal, but I still good to see you back home, Dave. Well, guys, look you know, after after a fun little show we had, it's going to be exciting to watch United tomorrow morning. A quick cheap plug before we get out of here.
