Welcome to sdh's coverage of everything going on in MLS Next Pro. We'll take you backward before we go forward over the last seven days and get you ready for decision Day in MLS Next Pro because at the beginning of the week folks get to determine their playoff opponents.
We'll get you ready for the postseason coming up in just a little bit.
But obviously we got to go backward before we go forward and let you know what happened over the last seven days in MLS Next Pro. Once again traditionally a no dilly nodlly zone, as we are here in our coverage on the SDH new So in the last seven days, you had folks that were bumped out of the playoff picture, you had folks that reasserted themselves into the playoff picture. Going back to last Friday, Minnesota United to the Loons
two over Colorado Rapids two, one nil. That was at the National Sports Center, Austin and White Camps two at palmer Field one to one after ninety Austin gets the extra point, winning five to four in PKS. Then on Sunday it was a Chicago Fire too over at Columbus Crew two at historic Cruise Stadium. That gets us to our first match of the week in the East, Crown Legacy Inner Miami two at the Erector set Chase Stadium
in Fort Lauderdale. Here's you highlights courtesy of our friends that I'm onlist Next Pro and Apple TV.
Keep the front of three narrow gives us our best chance, deflection shot and scored seventeen minutes in floors of Montenegro lofted header. Wow, what a finish you know, takeaway. Here's Cohen on the break with a chance, got him off do ball. Cohen cuts his team's deficit in Sardina shot. Whoa another strike from outside the box chance here, good as gold. Brandon Cambridge with the fourth goal of the Rays. Soft touch, nice time run, got him off a little
box right foot and shut it in. Unable to get ahold of Crown Legacy FC your final five to two.
Then that gets us to the next game in the Eastern Conference, Philadelphia Union two Atlanti United too. That one was here on the SDH network from Subaru Park in Chester. A couple of combinations there, but here comes Union two once again, twenty yards inside the attacking half, charging up the right hand side Calvin Sullivan and he'll go with the left and just miss it to the far post. Looked like Jaden Hibbert had it tracked the entire time early in the fourth minute, so chance was there for
Philadelphia Union two. Outlet to Cavin Sullivan charged inside the edge of the eighteen and then let it go, just misses to the right hand side into the middle. Cooper Sanchez quick to Hobby Armis right hand side. Kawasmi right at center line finally does get some attention and has to release the ball as Salo Levas started to close the margins a little bit halfway through the seventh minute. No score here in Chester, Pennsylvania, Landy United two, Philadelphia
Union twos. We wrap up the regular season here at MLS next pro Kawasmi right here inside La for Cooper Sanchez. Sanchez tried to go inside the eighteen. Neary got there first ahead of the defense, but it ends up being a chance that goes right to Andrew Rick. Neary won the race as Cooper Sanchez tried to feed it toward the inline.
On the cutback.
Rick was there, as was the defense in the form of Makanya. For Philadelphia Union two, Westfield tries to send it forward header Kwasmi into the middle to Hobby Armis turned over quickly CJ one and all in on his own and it was a chance that was there, but it didn't get finished. Opportunity once again for Siketta. Siketta up forward, a couple of passes now inside the eighteen, and the flag is up, balling it up in the back of the net, back and forth Morales and Jayden Hibbert.
Hibbert directing a little traffic here. Halfway through the twenty third minute, Tti Davis with token pressure as well as Salo Levas with token pressure, and it's won back by Philadelphia Union too quickly. Kevin Sullivan a couple of stepovers, wanted to work it with the left as a three sixty to get away from Aiden Torres. It's the pass back, flicks it up over the top. Defenses there for Atlanta United two settled down but only couldn't quite keep it.
Ball bounces outside the eighteen westfield, headed right on was ten yards inside. The attacking happ back to Ephron Morales. Morales fancy footwork from the right to the left gives to Hovey Armis again. Armis long ball with the right, looking up the right hand side and he will find Coasmi on overlap. Cut back to Cooper Sanchez wide open right at the edge of the deast for me. No
first shot, and it's there for Rick. Hobby Armis working quickly and finds Cooper Sanchez Sanchez over to Chong Quie over on the far side, twenty five yards from goal, looking again to connect, this time with Nary on the ground, but won by Philadelphia Union. Two second ball going through traffic, flicked once and twice shot by Fermino. Block tries to get it again, goes down and a penalty penalty earned by Nicholas Ferminos staying with it.
And the chance is.
Here for Atlanta United too late in the first half, popped it up to himself. Second chance and he was taken down right in between the edge of the eighteen and the penalty spot. Nicholas Fermino standing on the penalty spot, Hobby Armis walks it to him, flips the ball to him a word of encouragement. Marie Durr making sure that Nicholas Fermino we'll be ready to go. And it looks like they're gonna call the penalty on Westfield. Westfield had
both hands to the air. He's pulled his jersey up to his stern them all the way around, so I think Westfield is the one responsible on the pull down. Westfield kind of looking at Marie der with the words passing by as she walked by. Turning into the forty third minute, it's gonna be Nicholas Fermino and Andrew Rick. Fermino hands on hips, runs it up and puts it in the net. Third goal of the season for Nicholas Fermino and Atlanta United too with a lead on the
road from the penalty spot. Nicholas Fermino one nil, Atlanta United two right hand side through ball behind Ashton Gordon, but not all the way out Cooper Sanchez, he'll whind from twenty and got underneath it, got his back bent a little bit, got underneath it, but Sanchez not afraid
to launch from twenty. As we're in the fifty first minute and with the right looking up, the left hand side headed down once Davis flick header tries to get Sullivan going, Morales is there and he swings at it big three sixty with the leg and the twos win possession once again. A lot of quick passing Armis looking for Cooper Sanchez won back by the Union. Davis gets around Morales edge of the eighteen over on the far side, cut back past top of the d Sullivan leaves it
to his right, gives to Sicketta. Siketta stood up by Dominic Chong Quin and icely done, but not all the way out. Sullivan there to get it back. Sullivan on a bit of a back and forth with Pierre looking header and just why chance was there for Union two? Nice ball by Cavin Sullivan and he runs his fingers through his hair, knowing that that might have been a chance for Philadelphia Union two for the equalizer.

A goal with a minute twenty to go by cj Onney, his sixth of the season after a goal by Cavin Sullivan and Atlanta United two loses to Philadelphia Union two two to one in their regular season finale. Also Chattanooga surprising a lot of folks going to York Lions Stadium after parting ways with head coach Rod Underwood. Five to one win over Toronto FC at York Lions Stadium, so
a big three points for Chattanooga. Then Sporting Kansas City two in the West, North Texas sc at Children's Mercy Victory Field one to one after ninety North Texas gets the extra point, winning four to one. In PKS, Carolina cor continues they're winning ways in a push for a playoff Berth shutting out Huntsville City at Truest point two to nil. Then it was a Red Bulls and New England Revolution two at Montclair Red Bulls two winning that
one three to one. The Town two nil over LAFC two at Saint Mary's College, NYCFC two three one winners over FC Cincinnati two on top of the parking deck at Saint John's at Belston Stadium, Reyl Monarchs two nil winners over Timbers two at America First. Then that gets us to Tacoma Defiance and Houston Dynamo two. Dynamo dos from Starfire. Here's your highlights out West courtesy of our friends once again at MLS Next Pro and Apple TV.
And then Rodriguez Akino the leading goals scorer and Gomez in the midfield. With Osase d Rosario up top four, Tacoma tied for the final playoff spot two games to go. They need any kind of result they can get everything went right for them, he said, but didn't get the ball in the back of the net. And of course
Vancouver scored on their couple of chances. That one off the post from Sebastian Gomez Brunell that's falling rather takes a deflection in front, and Miglieti off the bench, onto the score sheet, and just like that, Tacoma has the lead. In the sixty fourth minute attempt on gold and it came in the second half, Biglietti tries to chip it over and he does.

Has likely just iced it for Tacoma. Miglietti off the bench. By the way, no penalty given In that Saint Louis Ventura County match. A red was issued to Ventura as the final whistle blows. Here it's another clean sheet for Tacoma. Houston falls to defiance too nil.
Then the last match on the board, it was Saint Louis City sc two at William Rowland in a game that finished ten to nine, three to two winners over Ventura County. That gets us into the standings and where things are heading into decision day. In the Eastern Conference, three teams are in just don't know the where Philadelphia Union two at fifty two points, one match left to go. FC Cincinnati two same record as Philadelphia Union two, they have one less shootout win. Goal difference is plus eight
to Philadelphia Union two. Both teams have fifteen wins and twenty seven matches. Orlando City B is at forty six points, and this is where the chaos starts, because we're going to be talking about a lot of teams here. It is eight teams separated by four points heading into decision day. Orlanta City B is in that much. We do know eleven wins, twenty seven matches, forty six points inner Miami CF two they are at thirteen wins forty five points
and y CFC two eleven wins forty five points. They have a better goal difference than the Crown Legacy who's also at eleven wins and forty five points. Chicago Fire to forty four points in seventh with ten wins. Carolina Core now north of the playoff bar, and they would have a tiebreaker over Chattanooga FC because Carolina cor has twelve wins twe eleven four and three. Chattanooga FC below the playoff bar. In ninth at forty three points, nine nine,
nine and seven. Also Columbus Crew at forty two points. They are still active. They need to win and they need some help from those that are above them now, those that are eliminated. Red Bulls too at thirty nine, Toronto FC two at thirty four at Land United two at thirty two, Huntsole City Football Club at twenty six revs. Two at twenty two. East Western Conference. You know everybody but one slot, and that one slot has five teams chasing.
After the eight North Texas fifty nine points, fifteen wins, they are clear number one conference seed, division title and in the playoffs. Saint Louis City SC two fifty three points. They are the two. We just don't know the rest of it. The Town forty eight points. They're in third to come in to Fiance forty six points, are in fourth, LAFC two forty five points. There in fifth, Ventura County six at forty two, White Caps two forty and seventh.
They're all in to what extent and where we don't know. Eighth Rail Monarchs thirty seven points. They are right now. The eight Dynamo Dos thirty six points, nine wins. They're below the playoff bar Wels ver Dos, Austin FC two seven wins thirty six points. They need to win in some help. Sporting nine wins thirty five points and eleven Timbers two seven wins thirty five points. They're in twelve.
Only two teams are eliminated from the playoffs in the West Loons to Colorado Rapids two thirty two points and twenty three points respectfully. In the Western Conference. That sets up all the news and that gets you ready for decision day in the season finale, it is absolute chaos. So I'm just gonna say this for decision day draft scenarios go to mlsnextpro dot com. They've got it all lined up. Rail Monarchs win, they're in. That's short version.
Dynamo does Houston win and rail Monarchs get fewer points than them, they are in. Then there's two others by the way for rail Monarchs to clinch. If they win, that takes.
Care of it. Then there are four other scenarios.
Dynamo does win, get more points than rail Monarchs, they're in,
plus two other scenarios. Austin two scenarios they clinch a playoff spot, win, Rail Monarchs one or fewer points, Dynamo does two or fewer points, and then another one that has a lot of math sporting they are in number one scenario they win Real Monarchs one or fewer points, Dynamo does two or fewer points, Los ver Dose two or fewer points, or another scenario that has more points involved, and they win the tie breaker over Rail Monarchs Timbers two.
They need to win Rail Monarchs loss Houston gets one or fewer points, Austin two or fewer points, in sporting two or fewer points the town. They have the Pacific Division title if they get two or more points, then other scenarios, top four seed if one or more points, and two other scenarios to come a defiance, they win the Pacific Division title. If they win in the town, get one or fewer points two other scenarios clinch a top four with a win or four other scenarios LAFC two.
They get the Pacific Division title with a win, a town loss and to come on one or fewer points and another scenario clinch a top four with a win, a town loss, or three other scenarios.
Eastern Conference seven are.
In Inner Miami one or more points. They're into the playoffs plus four other scenarios. They get the Southeast Division title if they win an oc BE gets two or fewer points and two other scenarios. They get a top four with a win and or seven other scenarios n YCFC two playoff spot one or more points, They're in,
or oh Wow fourteen other scenarios. They get a top four seed if they win oc BE gets two or fewer points, Miami two, two or fewer points, or five other scenarios, and then you get into a whole lot of other maths sorry six other scenarios, Crown Legacy playoff spot one or more points, or Wow fourteen other scenarios. They clinch the Southeast Division title with a win OCB with two or fewer points, Miami two or fewer points,
or another scenario. Top four seed a win OCB two or fewer points, Miami two or fewer points, or six other scenarios. Fire get a playoff spot if they get two or more points or six other scenarios. Clinch the top four seed with a win and any of the three of four separate scenarios Core wilas Is Tiring, Core Carolina win, You're in, or eight other scenarios. They get the Southeast title with a win, OCB losing, Crown get
one or fewer points. They get to the top four seed with a win, oc BE losing ny CFC getting one or fewer points, Crown Legacy one or fewer points, and three other scenarios. Chattanooga Chattanooga gets in if they get a win or four other scenarios. Crew get a playoff spot with about nine different scenarios in the first version of it All. Then you go down the list and it's twelve other things. Union best record in the East and the Northeast if they win, or three other scenarios.
FC Cincinnati best record in the East, Northeast Division title with a win, and Union two get two or fewer points or two other scenarios. OCB get the Southeast Division title if they win, or two other scenarios, Top four seed with a win, or six other scenarios. So anyway, Wow, that's all that's going on on Decision Day. Monthly awards for September Pro Team of the Month OCB, No real surprise there. Pro Player of the Month Alex Freeman leading OCB to their charge up the table in the East.

Michelle guard Ban Garbini is the head coach at North Texas SC. They got nothing to worry about. Pro Keeper of the Month Emma of Choa Emmy Ochoa for the town as they are third in the Western Conference heading into Decision Day. Rising Star of the Month Eddie Davis for Philadelphia Union two also on the board. Next Pro Goal of Match Week twenty nine goes to Brendan McSorley for what he was able to do for Saint Louis
City SC two in their win. Like I said, the game finished ten v nine and it was out of control. So then just a quick reminder, by the way MLS Next Pro clubs get to choose, you have six playoff spots open for.
Claiming on Decision Day.
Then Tuesday, it is October the eighth, two o'clock Eastern time, the Western Conference selection show at three o'clock Eastern time. MLS Nextpro dot com and on Twitter and on Instagram. One through three seats choose their opponents from the five through the eight. The four plays the remaining clubs, and so that's what it looks like going into other quick news. Carolina Core is going to face Krusos Saw U twenty threes and an international friendly. Very very cool stuff there.
Ari Ye Miller has been called into Liberia's U twenty men's youth national team with all of the time that he has been able to clock with Carolina Core in the midfield, and he'll play in the twenty twenty four WAFU U twenty Zone eight Championships for two weeks in September in Liberia. It's going to serve as qualifying for
the U twenty Africa Cup of Nations. So very very cool stuff there for the eighteen year old and Carolina Corp. Have loaned Tyler Freeman to USL's Championship hart for the Athletic for the remainder of the twenty twenty four campaign as Hartford Athletic are chasing after a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
