Alvin started painting as a way to deal with the ups and downs of early recovery. For one of his first projects he did 40 portraits in 40 days of people from his homegroup in Brooklyn, NYC. In this episode Kyle and Emma talk to Alvin about being a black man in recovery during these tumultuous times, and how art has helped him connect with community and family.
