So, I Was Watching 'Mare of Easttown' on HBO Max. The show stars Kate Winslet as Detective Mare Sheehan who is investigating a murder while navigating the trauma in her life and how it's affecting all the relationships around her. 

It's an amazing crime drama, but one aspect aligns with today's episode. There's a scene where a young boy sees his sister getting bullied in a crowded environment and everyone is watching with no interference, at first. Few individuals step up to help someone in trouble on the notion that "someone else will help." Are you guilty of the Bystander Effect?

In this episode, I'm joined by Filmmaker Ethan Paisley as we discuss his upcoming short film "The Bystander Effect." It centers around a young queer man witnessing the harassment of a transwoman and deciding what he should do in the situation.
