One part of being mature is having the ability to look into the future, identify what needs to be done, then staring in the present to see that it is. But it's hard.
It's easy to ignore the hard, unpleasant things now and just do what is fun and easy.
But mature thinkers know better. They think about things to come and set out to usher them in with preparation, no matter how unpleasant or undesirable the situation.
