When Danny, a young soldier, is sent on a suicide mission to kill Wyn, he is the only one spared by said creature. After, the military takes him in for questioning, Danny begins to realize that maybe the military isn't what they claim to be. When Wyn comes to Danny's rescue, Danny ends up wandering the Wastes with the feared monster, searching for somewhere to call home.
