Exploring Diverse Paths and Passions

hello everybody what's going on it's been a long time since i've came back to this podcast but um I'm finally back now. I'm finally back. If you hear a lot of sounds and everything, don't be alarmed. I'm just in my car right now. I'm just looking at the view. Just decided to do another podcast. But, yeah, no, I've been doing okay. I've been doing fine. Just, you know, handling some business. But, you know, today I wanted to talk about... Ooh.

That's a good question. What did I want to talk about today? I just lost it. Oh, yes. Passion. And not like love passion. I've already touched on that.

passion for life what you're doing and like jobs and stuff like that so um what made me really want to talk about it was you know i've been talking to a lot of people that um i know and um you know they've just been telling me about how like they don't know what to do and they're confused and everybody wants to do this and wants to do that and everybody has their hands in so many places and you know um

Me, you know, already being only 18, I've, you know, I've tested enough things to kind of learn the fact that, you know.

You know, you kind of want to get your hands into everything, you know, and what I mean by getting your hands and everything, it means that, you know, you want to touch everything that you question about. So. and you know um whatever be negative whatever just i hope i hope that it's positive that you're thinking about but what i mean like get your hands and everything i mean that you want to be able to um

like say for instance you're a cook say for instance you're a cook and you're like oh okay you know i'm cooking you know i do this i you know i go to culinary art school um and then something interests you about calligraphy You know, or or or being a lawyer or or like being shit like a NASCAR driver. You know what I mean? You know, shit, it's like.

Childhood Dreams and Future Desires

why not go ahead and try it you know um as a kid i've always used to be like you're you're i used to think that oh you're stuck with one thing you're stuck with this you're stuck with that You better have one thing and stick to it. You can't choose anything else that you see. And that was my problem as a kid. It was my problem for a long, long time.

I, when I was, when I was a kid, like, and when I say kid, I mean like, and I was like five and like five and up, I guess like some, like five to 10. My imagination was really wild and not in a bad way and more of that. Whatever I see, I was instantly attracted to it when it came to like video games were a big part of my life. So.

you know, playing, I never got to play shooting games at all. So I always played like action sports games and MX games and motocross games and, and, and, and BMX games and racing games. And that's all I played. And, you know, I had games like NASCAR. I had skateboard games like Tony Hawk. Those are games that, you know, kind of made my imagination run wild, especially me just being a kid at that time, being a younger child. excuse me and then you know that's just what i was into at the time and

Those things kind of made my imagination go wild. You know, I wanted to be that NASCAR driver. I wanted to be like Jeff Gordon. And I wanted to be that professional skateboarder like Tony Hawk and Bob Burnquist and all of them. And Roddy Mullen and whatever. And I wanted to have like those fast cars and drive fast, you know, and just, you know, stuff like that. And that's what really got my imagination out there. TV, you know.

watching cooking shows, watching Rachel Ray. It's just so much, just so much that I've seen and so many things that I watched as a younger child. It really shaped the way. I saw the world and what I wanted to do. And, you know, I was I was the kid that would get stressed out because of how much stuff that I wanted to do. And I felt like I couldn't do it all. I couldn't be a NASCAR driver and a professional skateboarder and a cook and all this and all this and all that.

You know, I would stress myself out as a younger child and would be scared because I wanted to choose all of them. But I didn't know that I can't choose all of them. So then as I started to grow up. um i started to realize you know okay well what is the things that i really do like you know i noticed that art was something and and artists became something that i really wanted to do and then you know clothing and and all these other type of things started to come down and and started to really

um, make me gain attention to him, you know, it really started to make me feel like, oh, okay, cool, like, I really want to do that, you know, so, um, About sixth, seventh grade, I'm still figuring it out, still figuring it out, still wondering what is it that I want to do. Still haven't found out yet. You know, I wanted to be a game developer. I wanted to, you know, I wanted to be a graffiti tagger and, you know, just hella stuff. You said that all the stuff that I was getting into.

You know, I wanted to be the next level of that. I wanted to be the professional level of that I got into snowboarding. I want to be a professional snowboarder. I mean, still do to this day. There's some things I still want to do, you know. But, you know, those are just some of the things that, like, I really, like, clinged on to and really was just inspired by. Video games for sure.

Shirley had to do something with that and TV and just how good my imagination was, you know, not to boast, but it was just like, man, it was just fun being a kid, you know, thinking of all these things I could have done. So, you know, fast forward high school, still don't know what I want to do. Still figuring myself out. Still a whole lot of things that changed my life.

Recognizing the Fear of Trying

And then, you know, I started to realize that, you know, it's it's not it's not scary to. How do I want to say it? Like, try different things. It's not it's not it's not. Something that you can be afraid to do. to have multiple things that you're into. You know, there's lots of people who have like, what, like three, three, four jobs or maybe even more than that, you know, and they're all things that they love to do and they're all at the level of professionalism and everything like that.

And that's something that what a lot of people are scared of, you know, just, you know, having that one job, having that one place where they have to go for the rest of their lives. And that's something that, um, I have learned that I don't want for myself, you know, period. So, um, talking to some people and, you know, me being a different mindset, different mind place. I was talking to a group of friends.

And I was talking to some other people and they were saying how, like, you know, they wanted to be this and they wanted to be that. And I want to be on a boutique. I want to be a fashion, like a fashion designer and this and that and all this. And one thing as humans that I've noticed that we do a lot is that we tend to get scared and not jump, you know, for things that we should get. You know, I've noticed that we don't go for the things that we should want. You know what I mean?

we should we should want to go and pursue those those careers and everything and want to go pursue those options and and and being that line of work that we've really been dreaming of doing you know but um we downplay ourselves so much saw so much to the point to where it's kind of just like well damn like do you really want it or not you know i used to do the same thing i used to be like well you know i could do that but uh

I just feel like, you know, just making excuses, just making hella, hella excuses, bro. Just like, like, oh yeah, you know, um, I could be doing that, but I don't know.

you know for instance like i wanted to do youtube like full-time one time and while doing youtube um or i'm trying to work my way into it You know, I got self-conscious like we're being in front of a camera, you know Like I'm you know, I mean I got acne like that, you know say I break out sometimes, you know I don't be looking like all

All professional and everything. Every time somebody's in this camera or when you see people on YouTube and their cameras, you know, and I had self-esteem. And, you know, I just kind of just shot myself down, you know. Because I just didn't want to have to just deal with, you know, feeling off. Oh, excuse me. Sorry. I'm, you know, I'm not good looking enough and I'm not funny enough. You know what I mean?

Just stuff like that. You know, other things like starting a clothing brand. You know, I just... I felt like, well, maybe I can't really make things that are eye-catching to people or are things that really get people's attention, you know? And, you know, that's what stopped me from doing it because, like...

If you figured, I've been wanting to do a curly brand since I was about... Since I was in the 8th grade? 7th grade? So, you know... that's something i've been wanting to do but i just never jumped i never i never took that step forward and just said you know what let me take a step out you know um on the on those on those things on the things that i really wanted

Faith in Yourself: Take Action

And I remember I was talking to my grandma not too long ago, around about maybe a month ago. Yeah, maybe a month ago. And I remember she told me, she said. You can never get where you want to go unless you take a step out on faith. Now, when she said that, I didn't first get it. To be honest, I really didn't get it at first. But when she said... You will never get where you want to go unless you take a step out on faith. Now, whether you are religious or not, you know, you have to.

have faith in yourself and with whatever it is that you do whatever it is that you believe in whatever it is that you want to do you have to be able to have faith in yourself Me personally, coming from the moment of, you know, me stopping myself from doing things that I could have been so great at, you know, just stopping myself, you know.

You have to and I'm telling you have to be able to take that step forward. If it's something that you really want to do, you have to go forward and you have to see where is it that I stand? Where is it that I, you know, that I sit in this?

in this space because the only person and which is crazy the only person that's really stopping you is you you know and it's it's wild as hell like once you really notice like people say stuff like this all the time people say like this all the time and you just be like All right. But like, you know, you just be like, cool, whatever. But once you really realize that it's up to you, it's really about you that.

You know, you are the person in front of yourself, if that makes sense. You are the person that either you're controlling, you know, either you're boosting yourself or you're bringing yourself down. You know, because it can only take it only takes one moment of I don't know. And then you just don't do it. You know what I mean? Or it can be a moment of, you know what, I'm going to try it. And boom, you're doing it. You know, regardless of if.

If you're great at it or not, you took you've taken the step to go forward. And that's what a lot of people lack in doing. That's what a lot of people don't do. We don't we don't take the steps forward, you know, even when. Even when we know we can do it, sometimes most of the time we choose not to.

You know, I mean, and I'm not and I'm not here to lecture people and how to tell you what to do, what you have to do. But I'm just from experience, I'm letting you know, like, it's crazy how how wild and how negative we can really get.

to be in our own minds and stop ourselves from allowing ourselves to do great things and do stuff that we really want to do you know like fuck it if you want to like go skydiving and you have and you have like a fear of heights you know what i mean that's understandable but it's like do you want to sit there and be scared you know

for that for that for forever and not know what it feels like to fall in in in in the sky you know what i mean or do you want to take that step step out do you want to take that step and just be like you know what i'm gonna do it you know and from what i you know like they like skydiving a lot of people have fear of height and everything what i've heard is that you know skydiving is one of the most blissful things that you can ever do you know

Overcoming Insecurity and Negative Influence

falling just you know just falling you know i mean but it's the thing where it's like you know you don't have to sit there and um wait on anybody you know what i mean You can go out there and do the things that you want to do. You know, you just have to sit there and just tell yourself, you know, I'm going to do it. I'm going to try it. I'm going to go and I'm going to do the things that I want to do. And without being scared, you know.

For me personally, I used to always have fear in everything that I did because I was always either nervous, I was always scared to go and try it. I was always the one that kind of just, when I should be stepping forward, I'm stepping backwards. When someone's pushing me, I'm kind of like trying to stop my freak from moving forward, you know? Because I used to be so nervous and I used to be hella scared of just what will people think? How would I look?

you know shit like that just like shit that a lot of people a lot of insecure people shouldn't think and at the time bro like I had no I had no um nobody really to teach me how to how to be myself, how to just go and try things. You know what I mean? People were like, just like, go try it, go try it. But no one really like, kind of like, not that everyone had to take my hand, no one really grabbed my hand and kind of walked me through the process of.

not being able to try anything, try anything new. And I think if I would have learned that before, Like, but like, like way, way, like a long time ago, I probably would have understood a lot of things better. You know, probably would have. did a lot of things that i um was scared to do i probably would have been doing them right now you know

Not to say that anything that you do, you should do it. If you don't feel it in your heart to do it, then yeah, no problem. I understand not everything is for everybody. Not everything is going to do everything they want to do. That's totally understandable. But from my experiences, it was things that I actually loved to do. I love snowboarding and I love skateboarding.

But I just always had that insecure feeling about it. Like, oh, how would people think? How would people feel about me doing this? And that's what stopped me all these years. Because you figure I started when I was... in the fifth grade so by now either you know what i'm saying i would be an out of been like an amateur turning pro or already turning pro you know what i mean and i just stopped myself you know

A lot of things, you know, doing YouTube, I'm still getting over the fact that I have to know that, you know, stop being scared of being in front of the camera. You're going to have to be in front of the camera, you know. if this is if this is something that you want to do or do it in a certain way where you can be on camera and not have to really be on camera you know

That's something that I'm just, you know, learning. And I just have to understand that, you know, sometimes, like, you just got to take steps into things. You can't just bum rush it every time. You know, that's just, you just can't do that on everything, you know, and it's okay. So, you know, I'm just at a point now where, you know, when I see people talk about things that they want to do and they're stopping themselves, you know, I let them know, like, hey, like, just try it, you know, like.

Like, again, YouTube, like, if you got a video and you're thinking about doing it and you're just like, ah. I don't know. Like, nah, stop. Like, don't even be with the I don't know shit, you know? Just be like, you know what? Fuck it. I'm gonna just do it, you know? That's how I do about everything now. And I mean, you don't have to follow that way. That might not equal to what...

You know, it might work for you. But for me, it's just kind of like, you know what? I'm going to do it. Fuck it. Like, I'm not going to. You know, you don't lose anything like.

YouTube. You just put a video out there and it doesn't work. And you know what I mean? It's not like you lose your home or anything like that. Depending on what you put on there, if it's safe, of course, please. By all means. But if it's something that you're just like, hey, you didn't... talking about yourself you know don't be scared because people are gonna have to get to know you you know if if you want to be a professional uh um shit like a professional like

iron caster is a professional like welder you know like you know get the things that you need to do try it out and just see you know don't be scared of like what people think that's like the biggest that's the biggest trap that can get you to the point to where you don't want to try anything new. When you think about how people feel about you or whatever it is that you're doing, you get clouded in that whole midst of just negativity.

And it's so easy to be negative than it is to be positive. And a lot of people will always, not always be negative, but will always mostly come at you negative first. before they come at you positive. That's not the case all the time, but that can be a case most of the time. Because either one, people just don't generally find any interest in what you're doing and will just shun it away.

Or two, they don't know anything about it, so they shun it away again. And three, they just don't have... um the type of mindset to be like you know what yeah like go ahead and try that you know go do that thing you know a lot of people don't have that and it's very rare you know it takes time to build on that it takes time to to learn that and to

get to that point because not everybody can be there unless you're just born that way and you're you're taught early on in the stages of hey you're only you're only this age go fucking try it you know i mean don't be scared

Live Fully: Embrace New Experiences

Because the thing is, like, we're so used to growing up as between you're born and you're 10 years old. OK, you're a kid. By the time you get to 18. You know, go to high school, you know, go to classes and do homework and boom. After that, get a scholarship or go to college. Go to a four-year college. Do something that you kind of like or something that can help you in a business plan that, you know, you can use to help your resume. Get your job. Have a girlfriend, have a wife, have kids.

You know, get married, all that, have a house, die of that fucking 90 something. You know, you can live your life, you know, get to get the job that you wanted, you know, and it's like you don't have to follow that rule. And that and honestly, I threw that rule book out the window along. ago now it's like you know i'm taking a step into different things that i really want to do um you know i'm not i'm not afraid to try anything you know what i mean i i've kicked the bucket on fear

Like now I have no fear of trying things. Fear is the one thing that will always fear. To me, fear and doubt. Fear and doubt are the two things that will always stop you from getting where you need to go. Whether it's the smallest thing or the biggest thing, the most complicated or most simplest thing, fear and doubt are the two things that will always stop you. in your tracks and will not help and will not help you or make you continue to go forward you know

And negativity as well. You know, people can be negative. People can really drain your energy. And trust me, like you can really feel it. Once you're conscious of your own space and your own energy, you know, you can feel other people's energy. You know, being so positive versus being around people that are negative, you know, it really draws a factor. You know, it really like, you know, shows how people energy really does affect you, you know. And.

You know, you should be around people that sit there and support you and sit there and makes you be like, OK, yeah, like I should try this. And yeah, I should do that. You know, you should be around those type of people. Don't try to be. I wouldn't recommend trying to be the person that tries to make negative people happy because it's kind of like oil and water.

You know what I mean? It just doesn't mix. Like water and electricity, it just doesn't mix. You know? So you have to just be in your own lane. Don't be afraid to step out and take out different ways and try different things. Because this life that we live... There's so many things to do out here. It's crazy. I just now realized it less than two years ago. I've realized that... There's so many things out here to do. There's so many people out here to meet that.

You shouldn't be you shouldn't be nervous. You shouldn't be scared to try different things, you know, unless they are dangerous. And now there is a time when you question when it when it when it concerns your health. But if you know that you're safe, in a safe environment, you have people that can help you do these things, and it's just something that you want to try differently, don't be afraid to try it. This life that we live is so short.

So short, you know, you can you can go to sleep tonight and not wake up tomorrow. You know, it's that short. So you have to just think, think, you know, they. whoever it is that you think if you're religious religious or not thank whoever and just you know thank yourself and just like thank you you know thank you for waking me up spirits or whatever it is that you you know believe in you know because it's like that we live in is not guaranteed

Forever. It never is. I have not seen or heard nor met anybody who has lived forever, you know, in this life that we live right now. The people that are our past, you know. So. Please, following people, do not be afraid to try anything new. If you see something that interests you, go ahead and try it, you know?

You know, talk to people about the things that you're interested in, because who knows? You can be connecting or networking with somebody who can help you do the things that you want to do or help you do something that you're thinking about doing. So please, by all means, people, don't be scared. This life that we live is too short. Always try different things. Try to go outside and just, you know.

do something different you know but yeah um you know that's yeah that's it that's all I just wanted to say um Once again, I do apologize for not getting on my podcast. It's just been so much has been going on. It's like I'm trying to start a clothing brand. You know, just some family things have been going on and classes and everything. It's just been a lot going on. I've never been this tired before.

So today I just wanted to just give a little insight of what I've learned and what I've been taught by so many people who've helped me get to this point in this life. who helped me realize the things that I needed to be thinking about versus the things that I don't need to be thinking about. And I just wanted to hopefully pass that on to you or to anybody else that you may say.

You know, hey, hey, read this or listen to this and, you know, share it with whoever. Share it with somebody who you think needs to hear this, you know, because who knows? It can either help you or you can help them, you know? With that being said, thanks guys for listening. I appreciate it. I appreciate all the love. And I promise I do need to get back on this podcast. And I do need to start this YouTube channel as well. I've been slacking on it. I need to get on the ball.

But, yeah, like I said, thanks guys so much. And I love every one of you guys that listen. I appreciate it. Thank you guys so much. All right. Yeah. See you on the next one.
