The Content Marketing Institute defines content marketing as the marketing and business process for creating and distributing relevant and valuable content to attract, acquire and engage a clearly defined and understood target audience. With the objective of driving profitable customer action according to have spot, only 37% of businesses claimed even have a content marketing strategy in place, which means by creating and executing a content marketing strategy yourself, you could potentially gain a definite edge over your competition as a solo or a small business entrepreneur, you might have been told that you need content marketing to scale your business. The response that might have been two flat out ignore that suggestion. Or maybe it annoyed you mostly because you know they're right, but you're not sure why or even where to start. That's true. Content Marketing for small businesses is a must. It's a must for all business size is. Actually, I'll venture to say it's a must for every type of business without effective content and marketing. Of that content, there is zero chance of getting the right customers in creating a long term business. Zero chance. I know that's a bold statement, but the good thing is, content marketing has a really high are Oi! It's super cost effective and it can bring in huge results. Per recent reports, an astounding 90% of online marketers leverage content to engage with new audiences. 72% of them stated that their engagement has improved because of this content. Those are big numbers, you guys. So what can content marketing help us small business owners out with a solid brand, creating a brand identity that your audience can connect with? It's also a big competitive event advantage by using content marketing, you were already ahead of the game from those businesses that don't use this tool. It also set you up as a thought leader. The content frames you or your company as an expert in your field, and you can build solid customer relationships. People do business with those they know like and trust content helps solidify that. You also get an increase in traffic. Compelling content helps generate traffic to your website and products, thereby increasing your lead pipeline and overall sales. So those air tangible business benefits. But as you know, or your learn pretty quickly, we also focus on growth, mindset and vision.
