Episode description

Hosted by sleep expert Dr Sophie Bostock, Sleep On gives listeners the tips and tools needed to get a better night's rest. In each episode we speak with a guest to learn their challenges and share their sleep routine, and what works for them to balance sleep with the demands of life.

Katrina Ridley is a radio presenter who has frequently done night shifts.  She talks about how the extreme variation in her sleep affected her mental and physical health.  Sophie advises her and others who work shifts, on some ways to deal with tiredness and sleep issues.  They discuss sleep hygiene, the effects of caffeine and how not to always be reliant on sleep data to create a calm space for rest.

Sleep On series 2 is brought to you by The Sleep Charity and sponsored by The National Bed Federation.
