Courthouse Lockdown and Disappearance

There are kids in this world who are different. Special. They go to school in a place you can't find on a map. And they're about to get a new classmate. Birdie, do you see Delphine? No, but I had her pinned down until that guard grabbed me. We can't let her get away. Again? She wasn't away until Officer Hansy set her free.

I'll text Badger and Bruce in the courtroom, put them on our trail. And we still haven't found Casey, who is 147% up to no good. One thing at a time. The hearing is going to start as soon as they bring Dad down here. What is that? Where are all those cops going? Isn't that the same direction the bailiff took Mom to see Dad? We got a breach in attorney-client conference from 3A. Full lockdown is in effect. A breach? What does that mean? Nothing good. Clear the halls! Everyone into the courtroom!

Hey, Cyrus! Birdie! Badger, over here! What's going on? We don't know. Into the courtroom. I want these hallways clear. Of course, officer. But, um, can you tell us what's going on? Hold on. Anders has gone missing from the courthouse. What? Dad. His wife, Dr. Monica Anders, has also disappeared from the building. We have a bailiff down and are treating this as an active situation. Into the courtroom, now! Cy, did he just say... Mom and Dad are... Gone?

Brynleigh's Journal and Hidden Truth

Watch your step. Thanks. And you... I won't tell anyone that you have your memory. Your secret is safe with me. As are yours with me. And... If you have decided you no longer want to pursue your questions about this place, I understand. I need a little time to think. I'm heading up to the bluff. Go right ahead. I'll cover up the rowboat. Time...

For my mom's stupid journal to go where it belongs. Go swim with the fishies, you big old piece of... Riley! No, don't do it! Penn? I promise I'm not stalking you. I didn't know you were up here. I can't hear you. I'm keeping my distance for a reason. Beekeepers are in season? What? I can't get any closer or you'll lose your memory. Don't get closer or I'll lose my memory. Hold on.

Remy, I need a hand. Remy, what are you doing? Monkey in the middle. Got it. Okay, I'll be the go-between. He said hi, and he's not stalking you. I know. Tell him I'm sorry I blamed him for losing my memory. Not that it isn't his fault, but it's not, like, his fault fault, you know? Got it. It's him, but it's not his fault. Go!

He says he wasn't sure if that was a real apology and would like the statement clarified. Clarified? Of course it was an apology, and I never make apologies, so he'd better appreciate it. Go tell him that. You're mad again. No, just ask him what he wants. He said throwing away the diary would be dumb. That you're smarter than that. Obviously, I'm smarter than... everything. Go tell him that. OMG. Seriously? I need a water break. Wait. No. Fermi! Ugh.

Maybe I can be of assistance? Cybot! I forgot you were in my bag. Would you like me to activate voice amplification? Well, that would let me hear a pen, but... Bullhorn mode activated. What's bullhorn mode? All right, so I'm dumb now, Peg? No, not you. You putting the diary in the ocean would be dumb. It's a journal, and it's worthless and misleading.

You're really gonna get rid of the last piece of evidence that your mom ever existed. She never cared if I existed. All I'm saying is everyone on this island would kill to know anything about their past. You're gonna throw your mom's journal into the water to sit on the ocean floor? Nobody deserves that. My brother Bruce would agree. Smart guy. What if I hold on to it? Just in case you change your mind. Whatever. Fine. Hey, Penn?

I'm glad we made up. Me too. Catch! Got it. Mind if I look through it? Be my guest. Hey, your mom can't be all bad. Because she had a daughter like me. Well, sure. And... And because she's a Southpaw like me. You know what they say, only left-headed people are in their right minds. Wait, what did you say? Your mom. She was a lefty. Why did you say that? This journal is Smudge City. It's the curse of the lefties.

When we write in pen, our hand rubs across the letters. Instant smudge. Let me see that. Renly, stay away. Stop. You're gonna forget everything. Give me that. I'll just back away. My mother didn't write this journal pen. She wasn't left-handed. You're sure? Of course I'm sure. I remember her teaching me to write and to cut with scissors with her right hand. So then who wrote it? Why was your family photo with the journal? Because somebody wanted me to believe it was my mother's.

Fugitives and Child Catchers

Where did Mom and Dad go? I don't know. Mom's not answering her phone. I'll see if I can get near that room and sniff around. Thanks, Bruce. Mr. Borden and I will hover the perimeter of the building. Maybe I can find something outside. Keep us posted, guys. Sigh. You don't think they escaped? Oh, no. Here comes that reporter. Say nothing, Bird. Nothing. Cyrus, Birdie, did your mother plan this jailbreak? Were you in on it?

No comment. Hey, loser Lois Lane. This is an A and B conversation. Catch my drift? Zip it. Bird. What? I spoke no lies. No comment. Shh. There's the bailiff who took Mom to see Dad. And that's the federal marshal who arrested Dad at Holiday Corp. What's she doing here? Let's get closer, but Layla... The lowest. Tell us everything you remember, Bayless. I... Soldiers?

Soldiers? From the army? More like paramilitary, maybe. While I was on the ground, I remember Dr. Anders saying something about catchers. Catchers? No. Catchers? Wait. Cyrus! Is it possible that she said child catchers? Yeah, yeah, that's it. Child catchers. Child catchers? Cy, that can't be, right? Mom got rid of them when we took over Whittier Corp.

We need to go back to- Excuse me. Cyrus and Bertie Anders? Uh, yes? Everything okay, officer? Federal Marshal Lisa Ellerby. We met at Holiday Corp after your father busted Magnus Sato out of prison. Did we? Did he? I'm gonna need you both to come with me. I'm sorry, but we need to stay in the courthouse for the hearing. Not gonna be a hearing today, Cyrus. Your parents are fugitives. Again.
