Intro / Opening

This show is brought to you by Acorns Early. So true story, when I was a kid, the very first thing I saved up for was a Build-A-Bear. Seriously, I'd stash away my allowance week after week until I finally had the $25 I needed. Then I'd get one and immediately start the countdown all over again for the next Build-A-Bear.

The thing is, I wasn't really learning much about money back then, except maybe how shockingly fast I could spend it on Build-A-Bears. Yikes. If you want your kids to be savers, not just spenders like me, Acorns Early makes it easy. Acorns Early is a smart debit card and money app designed to help kids build real-world money skills. You can start simple with the in-app chores tracker, showing your kids the value of a dollar.

Then let them set savings goals, track their progress, and build healthy money habits early on. With Acorns Early, you're not just giving your kids a place to save. You're giving them the tools to grow into smart, confident, financially literate adults.

There are kids in this world who are different. Especially, they go to school in a place you can't find on a map. And they're about to get a new classmate.

The Perilous Serum for Cyrus

Serum dosage complete, Dr. Anders. Thank you, Ivan. Monica, you're telling me the formula in that vial is the one and only thing that can save our son's life, but if you give it to him, he'll die? Once injected into his bloodstream, this drug will eradicate the toxins in Cyrus' system. But it's not that simple. It never is. From the tests I've been conducting, it appears that the serum only activates at a high temperature. Here, put these on. Goggles are... alarming.

Ivan, let's try this test again. Are you sure? I'm sure. Beginning test. What's he doing? Watch. See the red liquid in the speaker? Imagine that's Cyrus' blood. Now, Ivan, let's add a couple of drops of the serum into it. Adding serum. Nothing's happening. Right. But when I raise the temperature, which is what I need to do in order for the drug to activate... Ivan? Heat, please. Raising the temperature. Four degrees. The liquid's turning clear.

Which means the heat stimulated the serum. But watch what happens if I raise the temperature even one one-hundredth of a degree higher. Increase heat. You might want to grab the fire extinguisher and stand back. Watch out! Well, that's not good. No. Even if I could find a way to raise the temperature of the drug once it's in Cyrus' bloodstream, how do we stop it from igniting inside him and... Boom.

Boom! There has to be a way to get this right. We run the most scientifically advanced corporation in the world. I'm not giving up. But even Ivan doesn't think he can control the temperature with that kind of specificity. Controlling the temperature. I'm sorry, honey. It's going to be okay. If anyone can save our son, it's you. I'll let you get back to it. I have something I need to take care of.

Okay. I'll call you if anything changes. I love you. I love you too. Ivan, doors please. Have a good evening, Mr. Anders. Night. Hey, it's me. Good news, I've got a mission for Jimmy and the Badge. Bad news... It might be our most dangerous one yet.

Brynleigh and Jude's Investigation Begins

Frappuccino? I'll pass. Your loss. Thank you for trusting me, Brinley. I know it can't be easy. Oh, I wouldn't go that far. But you did save me from the alligators. And you helped with Cyrus. I hope. But like everyone else here, you don't remember where you came from, so red flags abound. Or you could see it as a good thing. How? I'm a blank slate. No baggage. Well, I've got nothing but baggage. Like I said, I should be killing it in New York City right now.

and instead I ended up here in the Elixir Academy where dreams come to die. I don't think that's our school motto, but I know you gave up a lot just to find out what happened to Cyrus. It's pretty incredible, really. Incredible is what I do. And he's worth it. Plus, I think he's just part of the mystery. What happens if you solve it? You leave.

Head to New York. You think I'm going to live on this island full of holidays forever? Island full of what? Long story best saved for another day. Moving on. Now you've got me curious. Look. I'll tell you all about it. I promise. Just not now. Got bigger problems at the Moe? Right. We've got to figure out how Cyrus ended up where he did. Where are we going? To find out what put your friend in that coma. Here's the thing about getting someone to trust you, Jude.

You don't lead them up a creepy set of stairs into a turret. Because my mind tends to go to a tower prison. This is the security tower? Not that I'm supposed to know that. It's technically top secret. If it's top secret, don't we need some kind of pass or something to get inside? That's why I called in help. Hey, Brenly. Hey, Jude. Hey, robot on Brenly's shoulder. Hello again, Pen. Pen? You have...

Access to the super secret security room? Is that really what it's called? Yes, Psybot. It's called the super secret security room. Sarcasm, right? Clever robot. Can we please come in, Pen?

Unsettling Discovery in Security Footage

Right this way, folks. Whoa, once again, crazy tech inside the old creaky turret. I had Penn meet us here for a little legwork. The island has cameras everywhere. Of course it does. All of that footage ends up on the hard drive here. Check it out. I knew you were the right man for the job. So, what are we looking for? For Cyrus. her friend from home who also happens to be the boy that disappeared from that tour oh oh i didn't even know we gave tours here i thought it was strange as well

I have a pretty good idea of when he was in Florida. Can you show me the dates on the files? Yep. Say thank you, Brinley. Say goodnight, Saibot. Never mind. Oh, try that file. Right there! That's the tour. Wait, is Casey the tour guide? Who thought that was a good idea? Why is she stopping? Turn up the sound. Question, where's the bathroom? That's him, isn't it? Huh? That's your boyfriend. That's Cyrus. Cyrus. Here, I can zoom in on him. I...

I don't know. Friendly, you know that's Cyrus. That's a very clear shot of his face. Oh, uh... Right, of course it is. Cyrus. Good old Cyrus. Friendly? What's wrong? No, I... It's like I looked at him and suddenly... There was a blank. Like he was a stranger. A stranger? How could I not recognize my own boyfriend? camp. Stay tuned to the end of this episode for more details.
