Once injected into his bloodstream, this drug will eradicate the toxins in Cyrus' system. But it's not that simple. It never is. From the tests I've been conducting, it appears that the serum only activates at a high temperature. Here, put these on. Goggles are... alarming.

Ivan, let's try this test again. Are you sure? I'm sure. Beginning test. What's he doing? Watch. See the red liquid in the speaker? Imagine that's Cyrus' blood. Now, Ivan, let's add a couple of drops of the serum into it. Adding serum. Nothing's happening. Right. But when I raise the temperature, which is what I need to do in order for the drug to activate... Ivan? Heat, please. Raising the temperature. Four degrees. The liquid's turning clear.

Which means the heat stimulated the serum. But watch what happens if I raise the temperature even one one-hundredth of a degree higher. Increase heat. You might want to grab the fire extinguisher and stand back. Watch out! Well, that's not good. No. Even if I could find a way to raise the temperature of the drug once it's in Cyrus' bloodstream, how do we stop it from igniting inside him and... Boom.

Boom! There has to be a way to get this right. We run the most scientifically advanced corporation in the world. I'm not giving up. But even Ivan doesn't think he can control the temperature with that kind of specificity. Controlling the temperature. I'm sorry, honey. It's going to be okay. If anyone can save our son, it's you.
