Prepare for launch. Ready, everybody? Ready. Ready. Okay. Get ready to fly. Three, two, one. So that's how my family started our Christmas vacation in the South Pacific. Not exactly the way mom and dad planned it. GZM Shows presents Hidden Island, an original audio adventure for the whole family. Search for Imagination Amplified Hidden Island to hear more. Mom, Dad, this island? It's not on the map. Hi there! It's Jess from GCM Shows.

Thanks for joining us on all our audio adventures. Your support means the world to us. Whether you've signed up for a subscription, used our free educator resources, or simply told your family or friends about our shows, you're making a huge difference. Right now, we're running a listener survey to make sure we're bringing you ads and partnerships that you actually like. But don't wait. We're only running this survey in February and your window to have your voice heard is closing fast.

No joke, when we hear from folks in these surveys, it influences the direction we go in for the entire year. Be a huge influence and have your voice be heard. Go to gzmshows.com slash survey today. Once again, that's gzmshows.com slash survey. Thank you so much for all your help. You know what, Brinley, I think you hit your head climbing through that window. Shh! You're saying my sister, who is lying right there, looking exactly like Holiday.

Isn't holiday? I'm serious, I'm gonna zip it! You want me to believe she's Adam? Don't say his name out loud, it might trigger him to wake up somehow. You already said his name! Well, I had to! Ugh! We don't have time for this! Clearly, I need all six minutes of his reboot to make you understand that we are in serious danger! Her reboot, that's Holiday, and we're down to about five minutes now. Are you trying to torture me? Fine. You don't want to listen? Then look.

Here, on my cell phone. That's a picture of Badger sleeping. Which is weird. Why'd you take that? Because he's not sleeping. He's powered down. Know who did it? That guy. Right there. Adam powered pedger down? I don't understand. Shh! I know it sounds crazy, but I walked in here when he was doing it, and then I heard ADAM's voice coming out of Holiday's mouth. The spelling thing is really annoying. You're really annoying. Listen.

As soon as he realized I knew his secret, he threatened to kill me. A-D-A-M. Y-E-S. The only reason I'm even standing here right now is because I convinced him I'd help him kill Casey, and I'm pretty sure your entire family. Don't be mad. This is complete insanity. We don't have to wait for Holiday to wake up. I can prove that's my sister right now.

Holiday and I just had a very nice talk. No, you just had a nice talk with a psycho robot who wants to murder you and your family in your sleep. I know my sister Brinley better than you ever could. Yeah, you do. You also want to believe more than anything in the world that she's home safe with you. Which is why you've been Donnie Denial since she got home. Donnie Denial? Cyrus.

You need to shut off the brother who misses his sister side of yourself and turn on the science geek who lives by facts and data side. Holiday hasn't been acting like Holiday because she's not Holiday. Yes, she is. When I came in here, she was on the phone with Casey. On the phone with me. What? I'm not making this up, Cyrus. Check the phone. You'll see what I'm saying is true. I'm the last call. Please, just check. Okay, I'll check Holiday's phone. And...

That's... your number. Fact, Cyrus. Data. She slipped out to see Angelica at the base. She defended Adam at dinner. She tried to get out of your sleepover. She... Ice cream. Huh? She said she hated ice cream. Holiday loved it. I know. And I know how bad you want that to be your sister lying there, but... But it isn't. It's Adam. Yes! Thank you, finally. That's why she got all emotional thinking about all the breaks she had that he didn't. It's not her. No. I'm sorry, Cyrus.

I really am. Where is she, the real Holiday? I don't know, but we need to get the heck out of this house and go into hiding before he wakes up and decides to- I'm not leaving. What? Just when I think I've gotten through to him. Brinley! Adam doesn't know I'm onto him, which means that...

We have the upper hand. But if I suddenly disappear, he's gonna know something's up, and then he'll have the upper hand. Cyrus, forget hands. I'm trying to save our butts. I'm sorry. I can't leave. He's the only one who knows where Holiday is. So basically, I just spent the last five minutes convincing you that all our lives are in danger, and you're going to keep it that way? I promise I'll be smart, but you need to get out of here. If he wakes up and sees us talking- I know, I know.

I hate this. One of these days, I'll go to bed without wondering if you're still going to be alive when I wake up. I'm sorry. You don't do apologies, remember? See you tomorrow. Alive. Am I clear? Please stay safe. That's the plan. Brinley? Yeah? Um... Careful going out that window. The roof can be slippery. Thanks. And thanks for believing me. Thank you, Brinley, for protecting my family.

I hope you're okay, wherever you are. Psy? Why is the window open? Oh, hey, Hulls. Just letting in some fresh air. I'll close it. Good reboot. Great. Did I miss anything? Nope. Nothing at all. Cam? What... what happened? Well, you kind of fritzed out on me. I think my head hurts. I never get headaches. Where are we? Adam's workroom. After you started shorting out, I thought I should probably bring you here and run some tests.

Did you figure out why I was glitching like that? Seems like you absorbed a lot of electricity when you took on Casey's powers. Turns out it never left your body. So I was still storing that charge? In your cells. Then you spent all that time in the water, and if there's one thing bots can't handle, it's big amounts of electricity combined with big amounts of water. How bad's the damage, Doc? Your power cortex was pretty much fried. That sounds bad.

Yeah, because that's how we're able to keep functioning. Generating power for motor function, speech, movement. Isn't that everything? Just about, and yours was... Fried. You said that. I was able to give it a little juice, but it's going to keep getting worse. How do we fix it? That's the thing. We can't. What? When a power cortex is damaged that badly, well, there's no coming back from that. So what happens?

I live with this glitching forever? Well, not really. I mean, without being able to do a six-minute reboot, eventually all the power is just gonna go out. What do you mean, go out? My power cortex just... Yeah, it dies. Hi, this is Ava DeMerry, and I play Brinley in six minutes. For more great podcasts, check out gzmshows.com. Shh, it's starting. GZM Shows. Imagination.
