¶ Planning Adam's Shutdown
or is it starting to sound like the Lion King out there? Not to rush you or anything, Si, but it looks like Adam pretty much unleashed the evil circle of life on the island. He could be back any second and Cam over there could wake up and come after us if she's not permanently damaged. It's the circle of life and it moves us all.
You telling me that is not helping me work any faster. Okay, when Adam gets back, I'll stall him while you finish figuring out the remote. You are close to figuring it out, right? Because if we can use it to control Adam or even shut him down... Shut him down. Shut him down. I'm working as fast as I can.
There was nothing about the remote in those blueprints you found? I've gone through everything I copied down in my notebook. No mention of the remote control. And I can't find anything on the cloud, either. You'll just have to use the good old-fashioned, super-duper Cyrus Anders brainpower. It's kind of hard to brain out when the two people you care about most in the world are in danger and- I thought I was the person you cared about most in the world. Not now, Hulse! I'm just saying.
You know, it would be great if all the people who matter to me could just be safe in one place at one time and call me crazy, but free of robot animals, fireball throwing maniacs, and what am I forgetting? Oh, yeah, right. Lethal hybrids with deep-rooted abandonment issues. What is so funny? What is this life? I don't know. I don't know. So what's harder? The too many girlfriends problem or the killer robot problem? It's a toss up.
Man, it's good to laugh like that again, Halz. With you. Starting to think I'd never laugh again. I've missed you so much. I know, Sai. Me too.
¶ Robot Animals Attack
I'm sorry I left. I wish... I wish you would stop complaining. I know you don't want to build them, but you don't have a choice. It's the only way to keep you safe. Hey, folks. Miss me? Tools are here. Get to work on Cam. Yeah, yeah, great, thanks. Um, before I get started, have your animals found Casey and Brinley? No, but I picked up something else. They aren't alone. What are you talking about someone else is on the island more humans Do you hear that growling
Sounds close. Go check it out. A little busy. Keeping the eagles from clawing our eyes out. We'll throw those flames a little faster. Is that an alligator? Fireball, please. A big one. What? What is this place? Only thing I hate more than robot kids is robot animals. The four must have built them as a security system. Well, whatever they are, they're gonna turn us into dinner if we don't find cover fast.
See anything? Everything is too far. Wait. There's a hut. Maybe we could... Ow! What is that? Now what? I singed everything remotely close to us. Well, I guess you missed... Whatever is crawling up my leg. Fire ants! Run! Fire! I'm the one! I missed. What are you talking about? You zapped that stupid monkey right in the face. I was going for the vine, so he'd just fall, not get, you know, zapped.
Get over it. They're not real. They're trying to attack us. So keep on keeping on with the face zapping. But they're so cute. Casey. What? We didn't all grow up hunting bears with slingshots or whatever. Not that. Look. On the beach. It's the Whittier Corp jet! Maybe we can hide inside. Not going in. Bad memories. You'd rather hang out here and wait for the robot dinosaurs? There aren't any robot dinosaurs. You sure about that? Well, no, but...
I'll be inside the plane if you need me. Ow! Handcuffs, Brindley. Remember? You cuffed us together. Oh, right. Which means I gotta go where you go. Plane it is. Let's go. No way! I'm not... Okay, okay, stop pulling. RearCorp airplane is way better than getting eaten by a lion.
¶ Inside the Whittier Jet
Safe and sound. Not a monkey bot in sight. And once again, my instincts save the day. That's a little premature. There's no one on this plane. Not even a pilot. Weird. Not really. Magnus knows how to fly it. Of course he does. Hey! Wonder if they have any food. Ugh. So can you take off the cuffs now, or... Oh, yeah. I have the key right here somewhere. Ugh. Where'd it go? Seriously? Huh. I thought it...
I put the key in my pocket. Brinley. Give me a second, I'll find it. No, I... You weren't really going to jump off a waterfall with me, were you? What was I supposed to do, let you die? I don't know. Maybe. How do you think that convo would go for me? Uh, hey, Sai? Sorry I let your long-lost girlfriend die a horrible, watery death. We cool? Yeah, no. I should have known. Glad you can make yourself look good, Brynn. Sorry it saved my life in the process.
Ugh. Okay, fine. Maybe Cyrus' reaction wasn't the only reason I did it. Oh, I can't wait to hear- You're so annoying! But... Truth is... You're a good person. Oh. And you're wicked smart. And brave. Brinley. And the world needs more good, brave, wicked, smart women in it. Yeah, I... I guess it does.
Look, I'm only going to say this once and then deny it until the day I die, which by the way, could still be today. Okay. You're special, Casey. You were born into this crazy world where you can like... Drive at eight and power a small village with your fingertips? So? So if you can do things like that already, what about when you're 18 or 25? Think about all the crazy good things you can accomplish by then. The rest of us will just be playing catch-up.
Hold up. You're not... Are you... Are you jealous of me? Not jealous. But... You're one of a kind. And that's kind of hard to compete with. Let alone be friends with. Oh, I... Brinley, as a kid, did you spend summers playing outside in the sun a lot? As much as possible, yeah. Whittier Corp allowed me one hour of sunlight a day. I didn't have friends or a recess or a playground. They told me what to eat, what to wear, who to talk to, what to say. Everything was managed. We weren't raised.
We were trained. They put a chip in my ear so they'd always be with me. Every moment of my life was planned out for me. Until... Cyrus. He helped me know what friendship and family are. I know you've had a tough life, Brindley, but you also have a lot that I never will. A dad that loves you. You're naturally brilliant and talented. You say what you want, when you want, to who you want. You... Had freedom. Yeah. You... didn't. Not for one minute. Wow.
I never would think you had a reason to be jealous of me. Back at ya. So, we're jealous of each other. And then throw in the whole Cyrus thing. If that doesn't spell mortal enemies... I don't know, Brinley. Mortal enemies don't volunteer to go down a waterfall with you. Yeah, I guess not. Oh no! Did a robo-monkey get in here? Or a tiger? It sounds like...
It sounds like something over there, in that closet. Go! Electrocute it! I'm not... Just do it! Open the closet door! You open it! I'll... get ready to zap. Okay, stay ready. For anything.
¶ The Ultimate Betrayal
One, two, three. Dr. Anders? Hakuna Matata. What a wonderful place. Cam, I'm gonna need you to be quiet now while I work on fixing you. Once you stop phasing in and out, we'll hunt down everyone who doesn't belong on our island. Is the remote ready? I don't know. I think so. You think so? Yes, I hope. You hope? It's gotta work, Si.
Because we can't stall Adam much longer. Enough stalling. Let's get to work. What about these other people on the island? Could it be my... the Anders family? No. Worse. But I'll take care of them. Come here, Cyrus. What? Why are you grabbing me? What did I do? Just reminding you to do as I say. Or are you looking to make this difficult again? Actually, I was thinking you were going to do what I say.
What? What's that in your hand? Look familiar? Where did you get that remote? From your hut, while you were sleeping. Time to shut you down. No more Neverland, no more army. Cyrus, I would think twice before you press that. You know what I can do to you. Now, Cyrus, press the button. Good night, Adam. That was awesome. What happened? Adam, why are you still? No, no. Holiday? No! Hals! Dude, Cyrus, I knew you'd be helpful, but this goes above and beyond.
How are you still? How is she? You seriously think I wouldn't have a backup plan in case Holiday decided to turn on me again? But this is the remote Dr. Whittier had in Juno, the one he was going to use to control you in camp. Yep. And when I took it, I reprogrammed it with Holiday's IP configuration instead. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. What have I done? What have I done? I'm loving these easy questions, Cy. Want to know what you just did? You just pulled the plug on your own sister.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Yep. Now it's just you... This episode is brought to you by LifeLock.
