Intro / Opening

This show is brought to you by Acorns Early. So true story, when I was a kid, the very first thing I saved up for was a Build-A-Bear. Seriously, I'd stash away my allowance week after week until I finally had the $25 I needed. Then I'd get one and immediately start the countdown all over again for the next Build-A-Bear.

The thing is, I wasn't really learning much about money back then, except maybe how shockingly fast I could spend it on Build-A-Bears. Yikes. Holiday's Reflective Introduction

There are kids in this world who are different. Special. They look like us and they act like us. But they are not us. was missing testing testing one two me me me me me me me me Sorry, force of habit. Um, hey, Dr. Farber. It's me, Holiday. Anyway, it's August 26th, and well, it's my birthday. Sort of.

Well, it seems kind of pointless to celebrate fake number 13 since I'm never really gonna get any older. It's been a full year since I first started recording these. I didn't think I'd make it here. You know, Cyrus actually counted once and I almost died 38 times in the last year alone. Crazy right? Every time I thought I was safe, something else was waiting around the corner.

My life was like one giant cliffhanger. So I guess I should get to the reason for this recording. The nightmares. It's been six months since that night on the helicopter. The night... at Whittier Labs when Adam kidnapped Cyrus and Bertie. I still don't know if I made the right decision back then, but I guess that's why I'm talking to you, right?

It's either that or have some computer geek wipe the memory from the old hard drive, right? Anyway, I think I'm finally ready to talk about it. So here goes.

Adam's Helicopter Confrontation

The night I came back to Juno from Neverland. The night with Adam on the helicopter. What's wrong, Adam? You look like you've seen a ghost. Holiday, you- You're flying the chopper? I was. Now it's on autopilot. Man, is that what I look like when I'm freaking out? Gotta get some new expressions. You blend it in. Like Cam.

I picked up some skills since the last time I saw you. What did you do to her? Cam's back on the island. But considering how long she's gone without her power cortex... You took her cortex? She'll shut down without it! She gave it to me. I tried to talk her out of it. No. No, she would never give her life for a traitor like you. You left her in that cave. All alone in the dark while you went off to work with Angelica Graves. You!

did this! You turned her against me! Adam, stop! You'll make us crash! All these rotten humans, even machines now! They sacrificed for you! But they all stabbed me in the back. Why? Why? Maybe because you only care about yourself. No. Not anymore. I've changed. I'm acting like you now. I can get back everything I lost. All I have to do is... is just be you. Adam, it's Birdie. She needs... Cyrus! Whoa. Two holidays. No, Cy. One holiday. It's me. I'm back.

He's lying, Cy. I'm the real Holiday. He tried to kill me, but I finally made it home. Don't listen to him. Don't listen to him. This... This is so not what I need right now.

Trapped In Panic Room

Help! We're trapped in the panic room and this stupid robot is sucking all the oxygen out and we're all going to die and help! Brinley, it's soundproof. No one can hear us. a weakness in these walls. We're not fitting through that vent either. So, what? We lie down and die? Nobody's dying today. I can't think. I wish that hissing would just stop already.

That hissing means there's still air in the room. Trust me, you don't want it to stop. How much more time do we have? Ten minutes, maybe? In nine minutes, 37 seconds, the air in this panic room will no longer be breathable by humans. Nobody likes to know it all. Leave him alone, Casey. It's not his fault that he trapped us in here to die.

It's not not his fault, and sorry if I tend to get insensitive when I'm suffocating to death. Nobody is going to die. And please, we have to try conserving oxygen. That means be quiet, Casey. Got it.

Emotional Panic Room Confessions

Okay, that's it! If these are our last breaths, then there's something we have to do first. Oh no. What is it? What exactly are we doing? When faced with near death, Brainy Brinley likes to unburden her soul by confessing everything she's ever done wrong. And didn't we both feel better the last time I did this? I found out you kissed my boyfriend. Seriously? Now? If we're going towards the light, we should do it with openness and honesty. We really, really shouldn't. Starting with you.

Dr. Anders. What? I've wanted to say this to you for a very long time. Before I deal with...

Cyrus's Holiday Dilemma

You two, who's flying this thing? I put it on autopilot. We're headed out over the water. I put it on autopilot. Cyrus, it's me. You know me. Come on, I'll show... No! No showing of anything. Do not even think about coming near me. Either of you, or... Or what? We're both hybrid androids who could take you out before you even blinked. I agree with you on that one. Stop it, both of you. Sigh! Sigh!

I said stop it. How do I know either of you is Holiday? Adam could have had a backup. Or maybe every Neverland robot looks like Holiday now. Cyrus, Cam rescued me from a box in the ocean where he trapped me. I escaped the island and flew directly here. Cam rescued me, just like you did the first time you saw me. I'm your hulls, remember?

You were there when I found Hubby. Badger was there too. He gave you the hoverboard. Of course Adam knows about it. He knows everything about us. The next day was the first day of school, remember? I went back for the hoverboard. I heard Mom and Dad admit that I could never know the truth. They were acting so weird. Yes! We thought that they were the bad guys, so we decided to work together. Could it really be you? No! I'm Holiday!

We made the best team, Cy. Hunting clues, running from child catchers. Stop messing with his head, Adam. Like you care about his head, Adam. Shut up, both of you. Birdie needs a doctor. What?

The Memory Challenge

What's wrong with her? Birdie, it's me! Holiday, I'm coming! No! Nobody's going near her until I know who the real Holiday is. Tell me something only the two of us would know. Cy, we don't have time for this. Birdie could... I'm waiting. You, Holiday One, go. Okay, fine. Why is he Holiday One? I...

I should be holiday one. Fine, you're holiday one. Whatever. Go. Uh, the captain of the whale watching boat. His name was Benjamin. Captain Benjamin. Uh, anyone with Google could look that up. How about this? The night we went on the run was the first time you and Casey kissed. No! She kissed you the night we broke into Brindley's house. You're so busted, Adam. Uh, she kissed him on the cheek that night. It doesn't count. You're busted.

Fine, whatever. We found out Casey was flashcard the night of the fall concert. But we didn't even know flashcard existed until we found Badger's note in his jacket. Oh, oh, which we only found because Birdie climbed up the radio tower and almost died. But I saved her. I saved her. That's what we do. We save each other. Enough! This isn't working. Um, okay, lightning round. What was the name of J.P. Whittier's assistant? Delphine!

What was Birdie's fake name in Texas? Miley! My boss at Whittier Corp during my internship? Dr. Zaslow! What's the worst thing I ever did to you? Calling Angelica behind our backs. Who should I pick? Casey or Brindley? Unless you're moving to Europe, it's Brindley. Duh! Wait, Casey's moving to Europe? Dude, what did you do to that girl? Wow, this is really hard. You guys are both...

The Real Holiday Revealed

excellent at being Holiday. I am Holiday! And not only did I have to figure out which one of you is actually my sister, I also had to take apart the helicopter's electrical system behind my back so I could expose these wires. Huh? Good night, Adam. Si? Casey told me about Europe yesterday. The real holiday couldn't have known. Cyrus! You did it! You figured it out! Halt!

It's you. It's really you. I'm home, Psy. Thank you. For what? For showing up on the roof. For coming back, for donating blood and saving my life. For everything. Thank you. Like I said, it's what we do. But what's wrong with Birdie? Come to the back. Cyrus. Bird! No, stay away from me! Birdie, this isn't Adam. Look on the ground in the cockpit. That is Adam. But if Adam's down there, then you're... It's me, Bird. For real. For real? For real, for real. Holiday, you're back!

Final Farewells In Panic Room

I'm so glad because I don't feel so... Bird? What's wrong with her? What's happening? She's having a seizure. Dr. Anders, I just want to say... Brinley, oxygen is low. Please, let me say it. When I was a kid and my mom left, I made the decision... I was never going to lose again. I would always win at everything. So your mom would be proud and come home? To show her...

Then I could be the best. All on my own. Without a mom. Turns out... It's kinda nice to have one. Friendly, we are not saying goodbye. I don't know... what I did to deserve you all. Are you... are you kidding? You deserve everything. You are... brilliant and fearless. And you are going to take over the world one day. We're kind of out of days, Mr. A. Stop it. All of you. Just, you know, Dr. A. As far as my heroes go.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg slipped to number two. I'm not listening to this. She's honored, Brindley. We're both honored to have you in our family. You too, Casey. We don't have to do the feeling thing. Too late. We're proud of you both. For who you are and how you handle all of this. James, please. It's okay, Monica. We did the best we could. Thank you for giving me a mom. Thank you for giving me a family. Monica, look at them. Look at these incredible young women.

Brinley, Casey, I spent the last 12 years looking for the kids I failed here at Whittier. Instead, I found you, and you helped heal me. You helped my son grow up. You completed my family. So, thank you, girls. Thank you. Oxygen at 10%.

Badger's Heroic Rescue

I feel really sleepy. Don't go to sleep. Maybe Cyrus and Birdie got away from Adam. And they're going to burst through this door. Any minute. In the meantime, we have each other. Just hold on, girls. Hold on. You gave me everything. I love you. I don't... This isn't... I can't. I can't. Together... Family... They... Aren't... What's happening? Sounds like he's... Shorting out. But... Why you didn't zap him? No, I think it's because of us Anders family get me in the bag family

Yes. Family. We're all... family. No. Adam. Programming. Adam. Adam programmed him to fight against... Us using... The feels on him. But not our feelings. For each other. You aren't family. But you are family. Yes. All of us, Badge. We're all family. All of us. All of us. Hatcher? Badger, is that you? Renly, Dr. Anders, Casey, Jimmy, I'm so sorry. Welcome back, kiddo. You have to know that I would never- Renly, it's okay. We know. Hey, this is cool and all, but... Oxygen? Oh, yeah, right. Sorry.

Need to get this door open. How? The gloves. Yes, the gloves. So I can... Everyone, we gotta get these gloves off Casey. Pull! Oh my god. Got it! Okay, I'm going to short out this lock in three, two... Wait, Ivan. I'll take on Ivan. You guys find Cyrus and Bernie. Badger, be careful. It's the least I can do. Count of three. When it opens, I'll go after Ivan and you four run. Casey? You need me, Badger. Ivan's got a lot of arms. Casey, if anything happens to you...

I'll haunt you for the rest of your life. Not funny. Ready, bot? Ready, what kid? In three, two, one!

Holiday's Offer To Adam

Paul, Monica, Brindley, run! Ready PC? Let's do this! I have no idea how long that electrical shock will keep Adam out of commission, but hopefully the chains will hold him. How's Birdie doing? Still unconscious. I'm trying to go into doctor mode, but there's nothing on the cloud about Gen A serum treatments.

We need to get her to a hospital. We need to get her to Mom. That's my phone. It's a text from Dad. They got out of the panic room. They're okay. Where should we meet them? On top of Whittier Corp? Where are we? You're over the bay, where this beautiful little story all began. Fitting, isn't it? Sai, stay away from him! Don't worry, he's tied up. Good news, Adam. My family got free, so it looks like your plans are kinda busted.

Why am I still operational? What do you mean? You could have shut me down. But you didn't. If the roles were reversed, you'd be in a recycling bin by now. Because that's not who I am. Who we are. You should have. I've got no reason to exist anymore. I'm all alone. Because you wanted an army. I wanted a life. And I had one, but I've been betrayed by the only four beings who ever cared about me.

Four? Cam, Badger, Dr. Whittier, and me. I got to live your life, Holiday. To see what it was like to have a family. To be loved. I sat through the dinners and the group hugs pretending to be a good sister and daughter. And you know what happened? Nothing. Nothing changed. Of course nothing changed. Because you pretended.

You only acted like a part of my family. It wasn't real. They pretended with you. When they dragged you out of the water, they acted like you were one of them. Like you belonged in the family. No. We may not have told Holiday the truth about who she was or where she came from, but when it came down to how we felt about her, every word was real. And I let them in.

I loved them back. Until you left them. I left them because I thought I couldn't be a part of the Anders family if I wasn't like them. If I wasn't human. But we didn't care. And we still don't. It doesn't matter how Holiday was made or how she came to us. She's one of us, and she always will be. You could have had that, Adam. No, not me. I don't have feelings.

I'm not built with the Anders DNA like you! Don't you get it? It's not about the DNA. It's never been about the DNA. Dr. Whittier tried to make me his perfect robot replica. But my mom and dad, my siblings... They're the ones who taught me about real love. They took me in, but not just me. Badger, Casey, Brinley. All of us. Different. Alone. Broken in some way. Like you.

You should have that same chance. Hawes? What are you doing? I got this, Sai. We can't harm ourselves. But we can go back to our defaults. We can be... Factory Reset. You aren't serious. You know the drill left hand on right foot Right hand on left foot say your passcode three times and blunt force to the chest You'll wake up with no memory and you can start over

You think it's that easy? You think a reset gets rid of what was done to me? The ocean swallowing me up? Being alone in the world? It's a clean slate, Adam. And once the pain is gone, you'll see. There's good out there. So much of it if you just let it in. Holiday, are you sure this is the answer? I got a chance. Let's give him one. Holiday, he'll never- I'll do it. I'll start over. What?

If it'll make this all go away, then... then yeah. I'm in. It's gonna be okay, Adam. You'll see. It'll all be okay. I promise.

Observing From The Ground

dock where we got on the whale watching boat. I know. This is as far as we can go. GPS on Sai's phone says they're out there. Out there in the water. The water? You mean... They are in the water. They're above it. Cyrus and Birdie are up there in a helicopter with Adam? What is he doing? Do you have a quarter? Oh, what? A quarter. A quarter. We can use those tourist viewfinder thingies on the dock to get a better look.

Brinley, you're a genius. I'm Brinley Pasternak. Here, I have change. Got it. Let me look. Do you see them? Okay, I see the helicopter. No one in the cockpit. Must be running on autopilot. I see Birdie on the floor. And there's Cyrus. He's talking to hol- Well, Adam. Wait. There's two holidays. Two? And maybe one is- The real holiday. She's back! But which is which?

Adam's Deceptive Betrayal

Cyrus? Hey, Bird. Don't try and get up. Where are we still on? We're still on the helicopter. You had a bad reaction to the serum. Holiday? I'm right here, Birdie. You know what we have to do, Adam. Say all three parts of the passcode. I hit the water, you fish me out. You know, this would be a lot easier if I wasn't chained up. If you think I'm gonna let you loose before the reset, you're crazier than I thought.

What are your magic words? Not Peter Pan. Let's just do it, okay? Ready? Left hand on right foot and say the first part of the passcode. I knew you would never see. Okay, now right hand on left foot and say the second part. I used all that time. Is that a song or something? I knew you would never see I used all that time. the passcode oh right I knew you would never see I used all that time to untie these chains and grab your sister

Stay back Adam, what are you doing? What does it look like halls? I've got your sister

The Fall From The Sky

Don't get me wrong. You getting all philosophical about the meaning of life and love was great. Gave me just enough time to untie myself. You don't want birdies. You want me. I want lots of things. But mostly, I want to prove to you that the world is still an ugly place. Bad things happen and there's nothing you or anyone can do to stop it. Put me down! Are you sure you want that right now? Right next to the open door of this helicopter?

I thought you said you wanted me to let her go. We're hundreds of feet off the ground if you let go of her. If I let go of her, she'll fly. Isn't that what little birds do? We're stealing ourselves a boat! Bertie? Bertie? Where are you? You can do this. Birdie! You... You just threw her out of a helicopter. Full circle moment, huh? Too bad Cyrus jumped. I was looking forward to pushing him out too. They could be hurt.

Newsflash, I don't care! You tackled me right up to the controls! Looks like we're going down, Hals. Bruce, where is she? Something's floating in the water. Is that Birdie? Birdie, I'm coming. Birdie, I got you. Took me two years, but I finally jumped in the water to see you. Yeah, you gotta gotta do your part Cyrus dad, it's birdie. She know climb into the boat. I have to get inside a stick

Take my hand. Okay. Hold. Cyrus, you're alive. Birdie. Ridley, Cyrus, help us pull Birdie on board. Birdie, Birdie. Can you hear me?

Birdie's Underwater Discovery

Monica, is she... Starting CPR. One, two, and three, and seven minutes. Birdie, you inhaled all that water? I guess. There was enough water in your lungs to drown a horse. How are you okay? I don't know. When I hit the water, I went under, but... Underwater? Birdie, the Gen A serum you had with you. Did you? Cyrus! Holiday? I'm right next to the boat. Help! Here, Holiday, grab my hand.

What? Got you, Cyrus. Cyrus! James, Adam's got him. Grab him! I've got your hand, son. I won't let go. I'm taking your boys with me down where we belong. The bottom of the ocean. You'll never see him again. Let go. Dad. Iris! Dad, I got this. Holiday, is it really you? It's really me, Mom. I'm going down after them. Holiday, I'll come with you. What? Absolutely not. Trust me.

Hubby's Timely Intervention

I got this. You'll see. Come on, all. Time to die! James. I can't see anything. It's too dark. Come on. Come on, girls. Come on. Please be okay, Cyrus. Please be okay. Come on, let's get you back in the boat. You okay, Sai? Yeah. Yeah, I'm okay. Thanks to Birdie. How? It really worked! Monika? The Gen A serum. I told her to use it if she really needed it and... I really needed it! I didn't have to hold my breath! I was breathing underwater! Like, really breathing! And not drowning!

means, right? The serum worked. I have superpowers. You're a... I'm a mermaid. Wait till I tell Korra and Dora. Did you people forget someone? I'll wreck this boat. I'll pull you all down. I'll never stop trying to destroy you. Everyone behind me. Fine. I'll start with you, Holiday. And guess what? I still have the remote control. I can turn you off and then take care of your precious family. No! What's that sound? It's... It's... Hubby! It's you!

He must have sensed you were back and in danger. Looks like Hovey put Adam down for the carrot. I've got the remote. Mom! Dad! Come here, baby. I missed you guys so much. Not as much as we missed you. Can we go home? I thought you'd never ask. Group hug! Wait, what about Cyrus? Give him a minute.

Emotional Family Reunions

Brinley? What are you doing all the way over here? Cyrus! How do you, too? I was so scared. I know. I was, too. A little. KC and Badger? They stayed behind to deal with Ivan. Of course they did. I'm sorry, but... I thought we don't apologize to each other. I should have believed you!

And we had something really cool, and I messed it up. And I'm not just saying that because Casey's going to Europe. Too much happened between me and Casey. Too much had changed. And I'd already realized I'd liked somebody else. Somebody... Else? Yeah. I liked her when she challenged me and when she fought with me, and I liked her when she proved me wrong. I guess what I'm trying to say is... I choose you.

Bring me past your neck. I choose you. Cyrus... I can't... I can't believe... I can't believe you have the nerve! Huh? You choose me? What am I, a puppy at the pet store? Just because you choose me doesn't mean I choose you. Of all the entitled, sexist things you could have possibly said... Oh, I know, I didn't mean... Prove it. Prove? That you're worthy.

Prove that you deserve me. Okay. Okay. I'll do that. However long it takes. If you consent. If I consent to you trying to prove you're worthy of me? That's what I said. Um, yeah, I guess you can. Cool. Cool. So, uh, I guess you should get back to your family? Come join us. Whether I'm worthy. or not you're a part of this family sure yeah i'll come with you sure but not as a couple oh oh no no of course not hey guys welcome back real holiday

Never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad to have you home. Thanks, real Brinley. It's over. It's really, truly over. Well, almost over. Oh, no. What else?

Holiday's Hard Decision

Well, we still don't know what to do with Adam. We're disassembling him. Aren't we? That's up to Holiday. We're disassembling him, right, Holiday? I... Uh... Why is it my call? You're his only family. Your call. Oh, Adam. Okay. Okay, I know. I know what we need to do with him. And that's when I had to make the call, Dr. Farber. I mean, what do we do with Adam? Cyrus wanted to shut him down for good, but I kept thinking about my 12th birthday, the night this all started.

I blew out those candles and wished for my memory to come back, but that wish never came true. I lost that part of my life forever. But what I found... Mom and Dad and Bertie and Cyrus... was so much better. So I started wondering, what did I learn from all of this? About what makes us who we are. Who we want to be.

New Beginnings and Transformations

And that's when I decided... Yo, H! Cam, I told you, don't sneak up on me. You didn't tell me. You must have told one of the other Camilas. Right, you're Cam... 14? So close. Cam's 16. It's good to see you, Holiday. You too. 16. By the way, love how you guys have rebuilt Neverland. Hey, have you seen original recipe camera? She's off-island.

Something about getting supplies to make more of us? 123 and counting. The more camps, the better. That's what I always say. Oh, hey, Cam. Four? Nailed it, yo. Hey, isn't today your 13th birthday? I guess. I mean, I wasn't really born and I don't get older, so to be honest, I've kind of been dreading this day. You need to go home, H. Go and be with your family.

Sorry, Dr. Farber. I keep getting interrupted. To be continued. Hey, Sai. Hulse, where are you? Javi and I are somewhere off the coast of Oregon, I think. Cool. I'm at the office. Birdie's here. Is she okay? I mean, she was pretty upset last time I saw her. She's moved on from upset and is now furious. She tried to join the swim team when she can breathe underwater.

What was the coach supposed to do? She said it's discrimination. Against whom? Against mermaids! Put her on the phone. Hey, Holiday! You coming home soon? Because we really need to talk. You're not a mermaid. You're a regular human being whose lungs... happened to be able to split oxygen from water molecules. It's your birthday, so I'm not gonna argue with you, but... Give me back the phone, please. Fine. It's not fair! So you'll be at the house for your birthday dinner, right? I'll be there.

But we're not making a thing about it, right? It's not really my birthday. Understood. I'm gonna stop off and see Bruce first. Brinley says it's been challenging. I heard. See you soon. Okay, Dr. Farber, I'm back. Things have changed a lot since the last time we talked. Especially Whittier Corp. It's even got a new name. You can thank Birdie for that. I don't believe I'm saying this, but I think I preferred Angelica's recording. Don't say that in front of Birdie. Where were we, Brindley? Right.

Monday, you have a 9 a.m. with the Prime Minister of Canada. But I'll be at school, so... Good afternoon, Dr. Anders and Your Majesty Queen Pasternak. Ivan? We're still doing this Queen thing with Ivan? Ivan almost killed us. As far as I'm concerned, he can call me queen from now until the day he ends up in the electronics graveyard with flip phones and VCRs. Permission to use my arms, your majesty. No! No arms for another six months! Yes, your majesty. Mom! Brinley!

Hi, honey. Hi, boyfriend. Love the new briefcase, girlfriend. I thought we talked about this. I'm now Work Brinley, and when I'm Work Brinley... But you literally just called me. Incoming video call from Casey Dupree, Paris Prince. I'll alert the media. Ivan, answer call. Bonjour, Cyrus. Whoa, that's a big casey face. Cyrus, did you upgrade the screen in 96 inches? Looking good, Case. Looking good, Case. Nice beret. Merci.

Bonjour, Doctor. Bonjour, Brinley. Comment allez-vous? Hey, your French isn't as horrible as it used to be. Thanks. Neither is your breath. That doesn't even make sense. Okay, okay. Casey, we're still on for tonight? Yep. And Holiday has no clue? Assuming cams 1 through 116 didn't spill the beans. They wouldn't. Would they? Not unless they want me to reprogram them all. That's just wrong. I agree. Don't even joke about that, Sinus. I liked it better when you two hated each other.

I have to go. I promised Bruce I'd get him ready for first day of high school. Bye, Dr. A. Brimley? Uh, see you at the house later? Bye, boyfriend. Bye, girlfriend. Hello? Axe still on the video conference? Jeez. Sorry, Case. Sorry, Case. Bye! Au revoir! Mom? Why are you staring at me like that? I just... You're starting high school tomorrow. High school!

That's a big deal. Yes, Mom, and then it's college, and then my own apartment, and then marriage, and kids, then old age. I mean, my life is pretty much over. You'll understand when you have kids of your own. I just... I want to tell you how proud I am of the man you're becoming. Thanks, Mom. I know you're always saying you made mistakes, and you feel bad about your role in what happened at Whittier Corp before I was born, but the stuff we're doing here...

I'm really proud of. You should be too. The world's a better place, and it's mostly because of you. Sai, thank you. That means so much to me.

Bruce's Memory Flashbacks

Now go get your sister out of her tank, please. We need to get ready for holiday. Okay, brainy, brainly subscribers. In honor of my first day of school, I have written a song on the oboe, and I'd like to share it with you right now. Sounds great, Brindley. Anyone ever tell you you have terrible timing? Mostly you. Looks like it could rain tonight. Hope it doesn't fry your motherboard. Yeah, and I hope your new classmates find your personality as delightful as I always did.

Are we gonna hug or what? Fine, but only because I'm dating your brother and he's so high maintenance when it comes to you. There, are we done? Yeah, that's enough. Bruce? He's inside. Thanks. And holiday, happy birthday. Hope it's a great one. Thank you, Brindley. Welcome. Elaborate. Broadly. Hello? Bruce? You here? Holiday? Is that you? Dad? Holiday! Hey, Badge! I didn't know you were coming here. I could say the same thing to you.

Oh, hi, Mr. Pasternak. Hey, Holiday. Yeah, Dad's been helping me build bunk beds for Badger and Bruce. Joe wanted to build it for Moose Bones, but I convinced him that wood was probably more welcoming. Different strokes, I guess. So... Badger, you and Bruce are, uh, bunk buddies. He insisted on taking the top bunk. Of course he did. I gotta say, I always thought I liked the simple life. Just me and my little girl, but...

You folks have done so much for Brindley and me. You got me a job at Holiday Corps so I could be close to home. You welcomed us all into your family. We're Anderses. That's what we do. Right, Dad? It's what we do. I'm glad you're here, Holiday. You should talk to Bruce. Is something wrong? He had some more memory flashes. Do we need to worry? He'll be fine. Just trying to keep the world safe. Plus, we share bunk beds now, so... Where is he? Catch- That doesn't sound good. Should I- I got this.

Bruce? Bruce, are you out here? You shouldn't have come looking for me, Holiday. What are you doing out here in the woods? I don't belong in that house. I'm not sure I belong anywhere. What happened? Badger said that you had a nightmare. I'm in the water. It's dark and cold and I'm dragging this kid down under with me. And I'm... I'm happy about it. Like we both belong down there. Forever.

But you're not down there. You're here. With us. It wasn't just a nightmare, was it? That was... That was actually something I did? Yeah. It was. Cyrus? Cyrus. Bruce, what do I always say? That I'm not Adam anymore. You're not. You're someone new. Someone with a clean slate. A chance to do everything over. Maybe you shouldn't have told me about my past. Maybe if I thought I was just a regular teenager, I... When I was found in the water, I didn't know anything about...

Who I was. What I was. That journey to figure it out was long and scary and a lot of people got hurt. I swore if I brought you back that I wouldn't leave you in the dark. I promised I'd tell you the truth. I'm not that guy anymore. Right? Not if you don't want to be. It's just that easy? There's nothing easy about it. But you have me. And Badger and Brinley and your dad and the whole Anders family. I tried to kill you. Why do any of you care about me? That's what we do. I'm sorry.

I can't. I just can't. Bruce! Bruce! So, that's where we are, Dr. Farber. Cam was able to retrieve Adam's original body from Neverland, and we gave him another chance. Cyrus wasn't sure Adam deserved a happy ending, but I had to try. I gave him a family and the truth and... I thought it would change things. Maybe I was wrong. Hello? Mom? Dad? Why are the lights all out? Surprise!

Celebrating Growth and Family

What? I told you that I didn't want to make a big deal about my birthday. Yeah, too bad, Hulls. We didn't listen. We never do. You two. This was your idea? We all came up with it together. But mostly Cyrus and Birdie. I figured. Nice party, H. Cam! This is why you weren't in Neverland. You think we'd miss this? We? Never been to a human party before. Cam too! So glad you made it. No fun traveling alone.

Right? I don't know. It's not so bad. Casey, I thought you were in Paris. I was. Bertie let me use the jet. What's up, holiday's birthday? I'm not sure my birthday counts as a holiday. It does to me. Holiday, say hi to the brainy Brindley audience. Oh, hey there, Brinsters. Is it me, or do you not look happy about this party? No, Badger, it's just... birthdays are gonna be weird for me, you know?

Always staying the same age and all. So then forget the birthday part. Let's just celebrate the year that's gone by. I'm not sure that's a year we want to celebrate, Bert. Okay, parts of it were super lame and, you know, life-threatening. But I mean, we made it. And we're closer than ever, right? So, in a weird way, I'm kind of glad we went through all that. I know what you mean, Bird. We may not be a normal family, whatever that is, but I wouldn't want to be. Exactly!

How many people can say their family includes robots, mutants, and mermaids? Still not a mermaid. Oh, we should take a family picture. Everybody stand together for a massive selfie. Monica, look at Holiday standing next to you. Do you see what I see? No. Is she... What? What? Is something growing out of my head? What's happening? We're almost eye to eye, Holiday. Huh? You're... You're taller. I'm...

Wait, that's not possible. I knew you looked older. I knew it. No, you didn't. I grew? I can grow? Guess Dr. Whittier had one last surprise for us. Well, Dr. Farber, guess it's a real birthday after all. Turns out I can grow. I mean, maybe I've been growing this whole time. But I still have a lot of work to do. I mean finding the wick kids were still out there helping the new bots learn to be well human Because I've learned it doesn't matter what you're made of

If you have secrets or superpowers or something else that makes you feel not normal. We're all freak shows in our own ways. We all have our thing. That thing that makes us feel like we're alone. On the outside looking in. That we're a robot. Or a nerd. Or a mutant. Or a mermaid. That we're not like everybody else. And sometimes other people will see it too. And they might be afraid of it.

But what they don't realize is that we all have that something. Everybody. They do too. All anybody has to be in this world is themselves. Things and all But I've also learned you can't do it alone You need people who love you for who you are People who have your back, no matter what. You need family. Blow out the candles! Make a wish! What are you gonna wish for this time, Holiday? Make it count, kiddo. I wish. I wish. Oh. Hey. Is this a bad time? Bruce. Holiday. Everyone.

If I'm interrupting, I could leave. No! Please. Come in. Join us. Yeah? Yeah. We're happy to have you. Right, James? You bet. Birdie? As long as my Bruce agrees. What do you say, Cy? I say... Jump in. Okay, I'm gonna go get the cake. I'll be right back. So there you have it, Dr. Farber. There are children in this world who are different. Special. They look like us and they act like us, but they are not us. And they all need a home. They all need families. One of them was missing.
