Episode description

On this week’s episode, I talk with Ebony — a 32-year-old who shares her experience dating an IBM (ideal black man) in college, only to be left broken-hearted and extremely jaded. The incident created a dynamic within Ebony of trying to prove herself worthy to potential partners, while keeping enough distance to prevent anyone from hurting her again. It’s a wall Ebony is still working on tearing down as she navigates vulnerability in her current relationship. Ebony shares honestly about the joys and challenges of her relationship as well as sharing about an embarrassing moment from her dating past -- spoiler alert: it had something to do with that IBM she dated.
