Episode description

A grateful spirit is humble, inspired and attracts positive energy.  Here's your opportunity to share your spirit of gratitude with the world during the upcoming SIS Open Mic Night - Expressions of Gratitude to Source. As we enter the season of giving thanks let our expressions of gratitude offer universal inspiration. Gather those journals filled with poetry or short stories that you've written, or even share that special song you love to sing that expresses gratefulness. It's okay if you're not a writer, feel free to share your favorite poem written by another.  You don't want to miss this evening of powerful energy. It's time to express your grateful self. Our special guest will be Celest Ngeve, M. Ed., (Celest Devine) Spoken Word Artist, Author, Community Activist who's poetic prowess and passion assaults the senses with amazement, and inspiration. Celest fell in love with spoken word when she was asked to recite at a Black History event at her high school in 1997. In February 2004, Celest self-published and released her first book of poetry, You Don't Know Me (Poetry of a Diva Under Construction), and released her 2nd book, Butterfly Revolution: She Speaks Again, February 2007. Her first novel is scheduled to be released in Fall 2012. Join  us to hear from our dynamic featured guest and  be prepared for an evening of expressing gratitude. The spotlight will be on you! It's time to let your soul sing with gratitude!
