This is what happens when we leave Dave unsupervised. We are so fortunate to have ready on the fly access to a beer cellar that we can do such a thing. A major debate on the quality of eggs related to being pasteurized. Is there such a thing as an heirloom chicken? Coming to a liquor store near to you in Alabama is non-alcoholic Gin. Finally there is alignment with a target demographic for a product.  We taste and rate the following beer from 1-5:

5:39      Joie – mixed fermentation saison aged 1 year in sauternes casks.  7% ABV  Westbrook Brewing Company Mt Pleasant, SC   SUDS-4

 

14:01    Escoffier – American wild ale 9.25% ABV   Brewery Vivant Grand Rapids, MI in collab with New Belgium Brewing Company Fort Collins, CO  SUDS-4

 

18:45   Stout Rullquin- mixed fermentation 7/8 Rulles Brun (Stout de Gaume) and 1/8 of a blend of 1 year old lambics matured for 8 months in an oak barrel, then refermented for 6 months in a bottle.  7% ABV. Gueuzerie Tilquin- Rebecq, Wallonie Belgium in collab with Brasserie Artisanale de Rulles- Rulles, Wallonie Belgium  SUDS-4

 

28:43  Moon Shed- spontaneous ale brewed with heirloom corn and aged in oak.  5.5% ABV  Plan Bee Farm Brewery Poughkeepsie, NY  SUDS-3

 

34:00   Marie’s Rendezvous – wheat doppelbock 10% ABV Schneider Weisse G. Schneider & Sohn – Kelheim, Bayern Germany SUDS-4

 

43:25   Milkman Pastry Stout- maple breakfast stout brewed with maple syrup, molasses, coffee, cinnamon, and vanilla beans.  8% ABV  Urban Artifact Cincinnati, OH  SUDS-2

 

47:37   Rye Barleywine (for J.D. Salinger) rye-based Barleywine aged in Sagamore Spirits 100% Rye Whiskey Barrels.  12% ABV  Zebulon Artisan Ales Weaverville, NC  SUDS-4
