Belly (1998) with Giovanni Lubin

Welcome back to another episode of Sips & Scripts!  Today we're discussing the 1998 film, Belly, starring rappers Nas and DMX in their film debut, along with Taral Hicks, Method Man, and singer T-Boz from R&B/Pop group TLC.

Anddddd we're sipping on a...

… traditional Jamaican Breeze. Inspired by the heavy influence of Jamaican culture in the film. Today's cocktail is made by Giovanni Lubin, our guest bartender/host!

Ingredients:

1 slice fresh ginger

1½ oz aged Jamaican rum (like an Appleton estates)

2 oz pineapple juice

½ oz simple syrup

1 dash Angostura bitters

Garnish: Lime wheel

Glass: Rocks

Instructions:

In a shaker muddle the ginger. Add the remaining ingredients and fill the shaker with ice. Shake, and then double strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime wheel, and serve.
