Uh, Today's gonna be a dig. It's gonna be a day. It's gonna be a day. We will continue to day and I'm glad it's happening. We will be continuing the emotional roller coaster right to get another one tomorrow road work. We will be continuing the emotional rollercoaster that is Simi Lockerum today. That that will be happening. People in the chat that haven't seen the show before, it's a real weird show. It's a really weird show.

In this part where we're sort of setting up and getting ready for the show here and just giving our introductions, we don't do any RP in the chat, but during the show there actually is chat RP because this is a virtual world show that's being done here. The players are playing themselves, playing characters.

So if you've never seen the show before, it's gonna be real weird and just I guess, sit back and try and figure it out out, because we're we've we've already started and uh, it's it's gotten pretty intense so far, it's gotten pretty intense. So why don't we get started. Let's go around the room and let's do some introductions and let's hop into things. Because this is gonna be a this is gonna be a weird, a weird situation today, and it's probably gonna it's probably gonna be a long session.

have no Nega Orics today. She is uh, she is at packs West, so she will not be joining us today, but her character is sort of here. We'll see how that happens and works today. Never mind, I don't want to spoil because I don't know how much Pumpkin does. I know nothing from the last two. Okay, then I don't want to spoil. Okay, awesome. Quietly, this is my first time

if we enter combat that I'll be in combat. So if if, if, and so I'm really nervous because I'm like, who to be the healer and you guys survived without me last time, so maybe I'll just peace out. I'm Pumpkinberry and I am playing myself stuck in the uh MMO. I guess character that I made named Coralai, who is a mechanical delve who talks to machines. Thank you. I'm Wax Stephen, and I will be the GM with normally, however, in this game, I'm playing the administrator and an interface known as Null. In this game, I've given the players a lot of agency to take care of things and what they do with the world, and they interact with a sort of pseudo GM known as Null to perform tasks.

They are in fact trapped in a world new min era of the Ninth World. It is a world a billion years in Earth's future. Anything that you can imagine that may have happened to the Earth in that time probably has. Humanity has come and gone and come back. There have been alien races that lived upon this world. They've been robotic races that have lived upon this world, and just a little bit of everything is still there. It still

remains while humanity is the pervasive race across the Ninth World. There are all different kinds of creatures and machines and strange things, strange devices called new min era. They make up all sorts of different contraptions. Imagine, for instance, if you brought a computer or an iPhone or something to the Dark Ages with limited power, what would you be able to get out of it? It would probably work like something like a flashlight. People wouldn't really know what

to do with it. They wouldn't be able to get past probably any passwords or anything that you've got on there. They'll be lucky to get it to work as a flashlight, and even then it's only going to last as long as the battery. Then it'll probably get tossed. That's the kind of world

that they're living in. People with the sort of knowledge of the Dark Ages However, a different kind that has these strange alien devices or devices that the real understanding for has been lost for a long time, and people are just kind of stumbling along trying to make their way in the world, just like we are. It's just a very different and very weird place, a very weird place. The creatures that live on the world don't really fall into our

normal classifications, our sort of breakdown of the different animal kingdoms. It's all it's all awash, that's all thrown to the wind. Strange and really really weird creatures exist in this world. That can be a combination of all the things that I already talked about. There are creatures that are affected by the world itself, which is covered in in sort of nanomachinery. It is pervasive throughout the world, and there are people that can understand it and people that

can interact with these nanomachines. Pocket is playing one of those kinds of people nanos in this game. They sort of see it like magic in this world because they don't understand the reasoning behind the things that are happening. And that's a sort of major theme. If you're trying to understand what's going on. That's kind of the default way to think about things. A lot of the

things that we think makes sense are not really necessarily applicable here. There might be strange laws of physics that are broken, things that just could not possibly exist with our knowledge that we have exists in this world. And the players were part of a sort of beta experience. They got access to a device known as the vrt RIG and this was the first virtual tabletop world that people were able to join, a sort of MMO like experience, and upon visiting

it, they became trapped. And as they've spent time here, they've experienced some truly harrowing experiences. It felt real pain, and they've been unable to remove these devices that they use to interact with this world when they first arrived. They've also suffered some serious losses. One of those losses was when Umpkinberry's character Corali when missing from the group. Everybody except Humpkinberry. If you could be so kind as to take your headset off for me, please chat.

We're going to start our roleplay experience here. If you'd like to talk out a character, feel free. You can talk out of character in parentheses that would be great, but otherwise we're going to sort of switch over into ourp mode. Chat has visuals on all of the players still through Twitch. They have been able to see things that have been happening in the world, sort of like a third person camera, so they've been able to see these things.

They saw when someone from the table story channel banned by Pumpkinberry managed to find her in this world, someone that did not in fact seem altogether there this person that's kind of identified themselves as Fang character that's playing a glave in this setting. They are a sort of think of a combination of a fighter and a barbarian and everything else. Very tough, very intimidating in a big

sort of simulacrum. The avatars in this game. We're starting here with CORALI being bound in a essentially a bundle of blankets thrown over your head and tied up. You've been gagged and you're sort of tossed on the floor of this small room on a trade ship headed for the city of Bridges, the capital of the sea Kingdom of God. I don't know that though where it's headed, right or do I It's been spoken of, you would have overheard it

for sure, Okay, we're going to start with a role. Sure which horral I horrall I please make hororll I please make a mite difficulty defense A might A might defense check difficulty four. Yeah, it's good to be back. As you've been sort of had these as you've as you've had these blankets tossed over your head. You can't really see anything. You have a gag in your mouth. All of a sudden, you are stabbed through the blanket in the leg. You feel the blade goes slowly through your skin and into

your thigh. You feel the presence of someone close to you, like someone's leaning in close to you. That's just in case you get any ideas and you're going to take four might damage to your current might. I don't want any trouble. This pain is real if you understand, and if you understand not, if you understand, I'm not He's gonna push you over onto the

floor. You have your hands sort of tied behind your back. You can feel the sharp agony in your thigh from where he stabbed you, and the blankets are sort of tied roughly over you, over your bindings and over your gag. It's hard to see. You have maybe a small bit of light what seems to be some kind of light in the room. Maybe you saw it when you came in, but it was it was a small light on the on the wall, probably like a wall sconce near the door. Also,

it's like candle light. It's like flickering. It's not It would probably be like a wall, a circular wall scance, something that had not a light bulb in it, but it had some kind of luminescence that was pouring forth from it. It's not a torch. In this world, they have all different kinds of strange contraptions and things that would light the room. But it's not like natural light. Yeah, it's definitely artificial. Yeah, okay, yeah, you could probably see it through the fibers of the blanket.

Yeah. And he just kind of roughly kicks you over onto the ground and he says, yeah, I bet you're not laughing now. Huh huh. Yeah, Hey, you in your fucking group think you're so so fucking amazing. Oh you're the best role players. Uh fuck you, fuck you. You know what I'm gonna fucking do to you. You can feel him get close to you again, how close He's probably like kneeling down like you could probably feel you know, once when someone gets close you can feel the air

change. He's probably close down by like your hips or something, and he's sort of like bent down. I can get a feel for his size correct or did I did I? When he's a big guy. He's a big guy, all right. He gets he like he like sort of kneels down and he just says, he says, I can't wait to fucking get you to the City of Bridges. You know, this is great. I've never had a body like this my whole life. This game is the best. It's the fucking best. I can't wait to get you there. I'm gonna

make so much money for you. There's got to be I mean, the place is the City of Bridges, right, I gotta have pirates and shit, there's gotta be some pirates that'll buy you. I bet I can sell you for a lot of shins, live like a freaking king. Would you like that? Would you like to move? I just lay there? Would you like to be owned by a pirate? I wonder what they do to

you? Huh? And he'd kind of like I think you'd probably feel him like you'd hear him, and probably I don't know if you'd feel it through the blanket, but he spits you can feel them like kind of get up and start to walk away from you. I'm biting really hard on the gag, so I don't make a sound because my leg really hurts and I don't want to give him this satisfaction. Yeah, you can hear the door open

and close. It's probably something along the lines of the ship was really similar to the way that a lot of the exotic ships look in No Man's Sky. That's sort of like, oh yeah, bulbous, almost hg wells like sort of appearance, metallic, and there's probably a sort of like hatch that closes or something behind him. Am I able to wiggle and try to get my bindings behind my hands loose at all? Or is it one of those knots where you like the more you struggle, the tighter it gets. Is

he that smart? Please make a difficulty for speed check in regards to undoing your bindings. Oh, you have rolled a natural one, right? Will you try to cancel this GM intrusion or will you take the XP? Do you have one XP to pay? Actually, I'll take the experience. Fortunately, there is no one else in your party at the moment to share XP

with. Okay, so you just realized you're not talking to null. You have a gang in your mouth, but somehow they are able to understand you gain the one XP and you feel the bindings sort of get tighter and tighter as you try and loosen them. Okay, I'll stop immediately when I noticed that that's happening, Please make it might save difficulty for who I wish there was a way to just do this without anything except the difficulty. You have

rolled a twelve. Maybe you hear him, but you realize that he has not left the room. As you start to struggle, you can maybe hear him start to laugh. You brace yourself as he kicks you while you're down on the ground, sort of connects with your knee, and he says, stop fucking struggling. If I see you fucking struggle again, I'm gonna stab you. I'm gonna fucking stab you. That should hurt, didn't it? Not your fucking head? I nod. Do you want to die? You

can feel him bend down and get close to your ear again. Do you want to die? And you better not piss me off? You're gonna go like a good little girl for this fucking city, and I swear I will fucking kill you. There's no cod here. I can do whatever the fuck I want. No one's gonna stop me. I'll just throw you overboard, just like a wet piece of meat and feel him sort of get up,

sits on the bed, and probably hear the bed sort of move. In this small room, you would have gotten a little look at it before he threw the blankets over your head. Where's the door? Judging from where your space is, he probably threw you on the door, on the floor near the wall, opposite the door. It's a small room. Yeah, And where's the bed by the door? Yeah, it's probably on a like from your perspective, on the right side of the door. Okay, so he's

sort of between me and the door at this point. Yeah, I'm in the corner. Okay, Okay, why did I ban this guy? Do we know? Why do you think you banned him? I don't know. I never have to ban anybody in the table story chat, so it must have been really atrocious. I'll think on it. Maybe I can't remember. amanted the rest of you. At the end of last session, you were traveling through the the area north west of cap Ford, and Katie peters Play's character Jax Castler was with you as you were trying to move to the city

of Bridges in the night. As you were traveling from Cafard, you were traveling with a family that you had luckily found riding some creatures, some sort of like pack animals known as a nine and they were named Coda and her son Sem and her daughter Donnie. And as you were making the trip, you had encountered some strange winds that had sort of picked up along the travels, and there had been these alagmites that have thrown out of the ground,

sort of causing mass chaos and injuring just minor injuries across the board. You stopped a camp for the night, and after about an hour or two, the the by Jay Gamerson and Alric Shiloh was interrupted by the sounds of Katie peters plays simula from Jack's Castler screaming in the night. Alric, you had seen her grabbed by what looks like a shadow and pulled into the ground.

I think Jay, you were kind of lost in thought and technome. You were asleep and were woken by the scream and you lose sight of Una. Looked like she ran off. What does everyone do? She's getting pulled into the ground or she was already pulled into the ground. She was pulled into the ground quickly. Okay, okay, Una ran off, ran off. Yeah, she was sleeping with me, but she just got up and ran and I like took my time. I guess, mm hmm, I guess.

I ran over to where the where I saw her disappear into the ground. I I call and I claw. I guess the ground is. Does it leave any marks or anything? Yeah, it's like it's stirred. How far away are Jay and Ulric from where we were sleeping, though not too far right? They were staring at the fire. Yeah, Uleric was doing like a patrol patrol around, so he kind of wasn't near us, not not super close. Ye saw that. I run over to Jay and I go, yeah, who's screaming? That's Katie? I think it's Katie.

Oh, he was here. She was here. I heard her scream and now I and it looked like, I don't, I don't know, something happens. So it looked like a dark shape of something and pulled her into the ground. The character's gone. I don't know where she is, like a demon. It kind of looked like a demon, like a shadow. Oh ship like the movie ghost we'll get to get in the wife then, and probably like the movie Ghosts. I don't, I don't know what this

means. She did say that she her character co worts with the Leviathan or something, so this could just be part of what her character does. But I don't, I don't know. I think it's dragged under to seemingly hell. Yeah, there's no way that's like a character featured. Where did where did Naga go? What do you what do you mean? What did you see? Where she went? Did she ran off? I mean I woke up and she was like already running. Uh, I thought it the exction.

You didn't see her message? Oh? Oh, what would you like to check your message? Yes, yes, you know O'Leary has left the party. Not this again. You gotta be kidding me. So she Sler has left the party. Oh no, do you think the demon got both of them? What does that even mean? I don't know. The shadowy figures it like it's like the drag Me to Hell situation. You ever see that movie? It's fucked up? I thought the guy was hunting her, the guy that killed But like the thing is, we also don't know anything about this guy. So maybe he has some sort of like can transport through the ground ability, he's a necromancer or something, yeah, or like, yeah, that's scary. I was hoping

they didn't have those shadow mancer or something weird. I don't know. I have no idea. It's a new mine area. Anything could happen, and that's that's the that's the coolest part and also the scariest part of the Ninth World right now, I have no idea. I should have went that, probably, but I don't know if that's gonna help us right now. I I don't know what to do. Zone is gone, Meg's gone, She's out. I woke up to coda. I'm like, you know anything about

shadows that come out of the ground. Please please make a difficulty three intellects check. This is based on persuasion. Yeah, you have rolled at thirteen shadows They come out from the ground. I've heard of such things. They look like people you have heard they look like they look like people you've seen them. I saw one. Yeah, yeah, your friends. Two of them are missing now that one screamed and then the other one ran off, and now we don't have contact with either of them. We don't. We

don't know creatures. Yes, the shadow tuck them, that's what we said, or slid. You sawid, didn't you? Yeah? Yeah, I saw I saw our friend Jacks, one of the mohawks. She's was just sunk into the ground. She was dragged into the ground by one of these creatures, and the other one just and and and just ran off. She ran off into the darkness. So I don't even know. I don't what

is the darkness. The thing here is that she looks extremely panicked. But okay, well, maybe maybe we should just stay close by the fire. Maybe make a couple more fires. I guess, I don't know. I don't know. Yes, make more fire. They told you fire, let's just burn everything, burn everything. Just I don't think we should burn everything. I think we should just like have a very good like fire. Yeah, controlled fire. Well, because me and fire we don't have a good

relationship. So okay, yeah, we'll just okay, so we'll start up. We'll do like a ring with an entrance. We're gonna we're gonna do the ring. I don't know, Yeah, why not? Just a big light, you know, like a big light. This will not require any sort of check. Your basic understanding of hedge magic would require this to be a difficulty zero check. Oh goodness, okay. Yeah. And then and then what I do is I hold my hand up and I go, hey, guys, watch come ma. And then a light starts to appear, like in a

little ball, and it gets a little bigger. And I don't finish the haw because I'm just like looking at everybody like you get it, Yeah, you get it? Okay, yeah, And then I try to make a light. Let's just illuminate the area around us? How long can you hold hold that? How long did you comic light isn't very big? Oh no, I have to hold this well, I didn't think about that part. Yeah, you have to keep recasting it. Look, we all should have like a glow globe on our packs. I'm gonna just lower my arm a

You can sort of hear them making their sort of sort of whale like noises, their throats kind of extending like a like a bullfrogs. And uh, Coda is trying to just get some some wood to spill out, and she's trying to hand you some as well. Techno, I like hold it like this with the lights still in front of me. It's like, this is not comfortable, but okay, And you gather some some firewood, and she says, I've only heard of these creatures before. Tell me about this

is the first time. I mean that we've been this far, and honestly, I've never heard of this happening of her. Their shadows come to life. So is it a creature with a shadow or just a shadow? It is it is some sort of some sort of creature. They say that it was once It was once clothing worn to hide to hide people, but it became possessed sorted eating people instead. Okay, yes, they have like ink becomes like ink, like long fingers, claws, and there are many Is

there a way to fight it off? Or you maybe burn it or or I just I do not know. This isn't good. This is not good. Oh we should probably not be out here too long, because you know, with the others, I'm going as fast as I can. I know, I know I'm not trying to rush you. I know that this seems like a very urgent situation, and I don't kind of I'm kind of scared of myself. Never thought i'd say that, and again, never mind, uh but yeah, oh god, oh god, is this light bright enough?

You know, she's like trying to grab as much wood and kindling as possible from the from the packs of these anine, and she's she's she's basically filled up, and she's trying to grab the reins and pull the anine towards the towards the circles. Yeah. I start walking walking back with her, and I try to keep try to keep pace because she's walking a little slower because she's doing so much. But I'm also like you can. I'm just getting very visibly like, come on, we gotta go. Okay, oh my god, this is effy. Ye walk back to the circle. The anine still sort of warbling, obviously bothered about the situation, and uh, yeah you you you make it back to the to the group and uh what what were you two doing

while they were off gathering this? It probably took them a couple of minutes or so to get this wood. I've I'm building two other separate fires, so there's three fires in a triangle at least stacks of wood. Yeah, yeah, so it's so yeah, if you're making a triangle so there's no light shadows, yeah, I am probably gonna be patrolling from eyesight with her

her her nanoglobe and back to the fire. I do want to make sure that I always have eyesight on them, because I do not want I'm sort of the middleman if anything is to happen, I kind of want to sprint

and help someone else because I don't trust being split up. At this time, I'm over, I'm fidgeting now that I'm back at the fire, and then I suddenly take the ball and I put it like into the chest part of my armor, and the light glows through and goes to my payda Win wings that I have on my cosmetic wings and they glow and I'm like, that's much easier. I forgot all about these. These costs a lot of money. Why did I buy that? Because there's like a faint sort of

glow that's emanating from the wings. It's not as bright as the concentrated you know ball that you had, but it's sort of spread out across the wings. Yeah, kind of like I would imagine, kind of like a night light, not like a flashlight for me. You can hear sm sort of gawk for a second as you do this. Yeah, there's another miracle. Guess it's really cool. Come on, help me put these fires together? Yes, yes, done, yee, help as well. I'm trying put

that one over there, and then bring that wood coda. Put it here. We all sit in the middle of this thing. How's it coming, Jay, It's good. We have wood, all right. I'm also looking around making sure looking for uh nega ork stick come out of the shadow? Is there some ship? Okay? Ohna Jax, Ohna, Did I I have a question for y'all? Did I well, actually or if you just come here, and I want to say it's too loud. Actually, you know, did whenever that thing happened to me, did I leave the party?

Or was I? I didn't leave the party. I didn't drop No, the only person wh's ever left our group was the first person was eb. Oh. Then that's that's really not a good sign if she left the party, because I was thinking maybe what happened to me could have happened to her, but maybe well if it if it did, then we'd still have the their body as a as a as a prop I guess I don't know. I don't know. We didn't. There's just we have no we have

nothing of them. Yeah, that's what that's what's concerning. See. No, that's what I'm worried about. I thought maybe that that sucks. I was you were you were pretty much just dead. are like steel hard shadow related. They usually they usually move in groups. Well okay, yeah, they're a packed creature who kills for their enjoyment and apparently their corporeal part about them is their steel hard claws. Shadow of shadow, mother, what is that? Ah? Fuck? You see Sem by the fire sort of like illuminated the front and he's just warily pointing out beyond the fire whatever it is. Don't go near it, yes, stay back here? What is it? Sam? you get down by the fire. Now. They immediately like rush towards the fire and sit down, Yanine. Yanine are seemingly worried. Obviously, they're sort of moving about, bucking beyond the fire. All of you can see shadows extended too long on the ground from rocks and things that have a sort of humanoid like shape. Some of the moonlight illuminates them a little, and you can see they're not actually resting on the ground, only their feet

sort of extend towards the objects that are creating them. And you can see five of these around the ring that you have kind of created, maybe about thirty feet away. Fuck that and that and that. Yeah, I'm actually not so worried. I'll keep my distortion lens the ribbon, I'll keep the ribbons of dark matter up, and I'll want to stay inside as a target. And I reach inside my coat and I take out the cipher that I created like an hour or two before, and I spray myself down with it.

You can see you can see that it starts to get darker around the shiver as soon as you throw the dagger. They actually like you see them illuminated partially by the fire, but it just seems to dim as if the fire light loses some of its intensity. You can see multiple shapes, like you can still see their individual forms as part of this larger shadow, so you can see like claws and things moving about, but it still makes like a larger shadow. It looks like they're moving towards a rock in the ground that's just kind of like partially embedded, and that's going to be it for

I'm gonna take out my whip and try to hit them as they as they are are on the move. Techno, please make a difficulty for light weapons check because you are using light weapons. You have one asset. The whole perception thing because they this is a shadow and it's not on the ground is like a weird thing, right, like just trying

Everything is being thoroughly investigated and the channels on Twitch have been well. When players are seemingly killed, they're going offline. When any attempts have been made to shut down Twitch or the Twitch servers physically or via software, even unplugging the servers, the servers have

remained online, howered seemingly by some kind of foreign energy source. Attempts have been made to destroy the servers, and while the servers have been destroyed, seemingly the streams remain. And uh, you saw that he had some daggers as well, like some wicked looking some like wicked looking gaggers. Okay, okay, what would I do? Everything was taken from me, I assume correct. I see that? Does he have that stuff. You've got the blankets over you. Well, I meant when he sat down, I didn't want to interrupt, but I would have tried to walk. He probably would have had this stuff bundled up near his pillow on the bed. Okay, actually, there probably wouldn't even been a pillow. It probably would have just been like okay, okay, holy shit, I have to just word vomit for a

minute my way through this. If this were a game, or if this were D and D, obviously I would just try to because my arms are behind my back. I would add absolutely try to like slide them up underneath my feet and lift them up so that I had them front so that I

could grab something and stab him. But if this is real life, or if for some reason we are stuck, and if I were to actually kill this person, I'm killing like a potentially like a thirteen year old boy, and I don't know how I feel about that, I would probably sit there and freak out. And then this whole time, I've been kind of sort of weirdly calm because I think this is a game. Still, you know, yeah, I'm feeling pain, but I'm fucking plugged in somewhere else.

You see yourself going through various motions in regards to trying to kill this person while they are sleeping. You see yourself running through different scenarios in your head, grabbing their weapon, stabbing them with it, No, that's too slicing

their throat, route force. There's lots of different ways to kind of rush through your head, and you see like a lot of them ending poorly. The one that doesn't end poorly. The easiest way that you see this working is if you are able to take the dagger and slit his throat. That's not that's like so many options for him to wake up. I can't just like knee his neck and break his neck. I can't just like fucking jump on his head and break his neck. Or I have to try to stealthily

take a dagger out while my heart is pounding. You ran through those options in your head. But he is a big guy, and you would need to get up on the bed to try and get the right leverage to do this. Is the door open? You haven't tried it? Oh? I meant hanging open. No, the door's closed. Okay, I'm already on a ship. If I kill this guy, I'm still imprisoned. Do I know anything about this ship?
