Number One, I'm going to be taking this show in a direction that has a lot of player agency. I want the players to really drive things in the show a lot, So I'll be sort of stepping back a lot, and I'll be kind of hopping

in for various things. But this is going to be a lot of This is gonna be really focused on the players, and their decisions are going to be what drives things forward, and I'm going to kind of just react. So I'm curious to see how this is going to go. I've prepared a lot and we'll see what happens. But this show as the players playing themselves, playing characters in the Ninth World. That's right, this is the first. This is a waxed even first. I'm actually encouraging meta gaming. Unpossible,

unpossible. I know, I know, that's happening. It's happening. The players are playing themselves, playing characters in the Ninth World. You have all received a special rig, a Virtual Reality rig VRT RIG Beta, and the premier game for this is New min Era the Ninth World. This is the first day that the game is about to go live. You've all received this rig through different means. They've released a sort of limited amount of them

to everyone, through lotteries and through people with various connections and things. They've released a certain amount of streamers, but they haven't necessarily given them out to every big streamer. They've kind of spread the wealth a lot, and you all have received one. This is your This is the big day. You've gotten the rig. You've gotten everything set up, you've put it on. There's Twitch chat integration built in, there's voicecoms built in, and you've set

up an actual Twitch event. Five of you squad. You've gotten the squad together. The very first thing that happens when you power up and get things going, as you connect everything with your with your stream, you get your streams going. And I think I want to hear a lot about that. I want to figure out if you had this this vrt RIG If you had this, what would your day be like? I want to hear about your

day. I want to hear about how you slept the night before. You have just been given this amazing beta test for this, for this virtual reality system. What's the what's the stream day? Like? What's the event looking like? Oh? Man, I don't know. If I I probably wouldn't sleep. Yeah, I don't think I would sleep. I think I would be in a group chat with you all on discord, just saying like do we have to wait? Can we start now? Or I would be how do I do it? How do I put it together? Yeah? Yeah,

that would be me. There's a call and Whack would be helping us and coaching us through. I think I think the system itself has a sort of similar virtual reality component. You know, it has the headphones and the sort of piece across your face, and it has also it has like a chess piece and some gloves as opposed to like controllers you know, with like triggers and stuff on them, but it actually has gloves. What is the chess piece like? Is it like hard plastic? Have you ever seen like

a street hockey like chess piece for like a goalie. Something probably like that, you know, like something that goes around. Yeah, it's it's definitely got some hard components, probably like a battery or something built into it. Okay, like a laser tag best, all right, something like that. Okay, do you guys all power it up? You get the voice coms going, did anybody sleep the night before? Yeah? I slept soundly, and Lee go, yeah, I'd be setting this thing up at ten oh

five, after I've gone live late. That's when it would be set up on stream in front of all of them going what do I do? And how do I do it? Okay, it would be me. I. I mean, I sat down at my computer, let's say, like an hour before I was supposed to set everything up. But my big concern is I have two cats and a dog, and so even though I'm really, really, really excited for this, it's like I'm also trying to like bat away kitt and pause. While I'm getting set up, I'm trying to explain

to them not to touch theff. They're not getting it. They're cats, you know, it's a whole thing. I slept well because as excited as I am, your girl needs her sleep. I went to bed at like eleven o'clock at night, but in my excitement, I had way too much coffee the morning of. So like, I'm excited to a like anxiety inducing, jittery level as I'm trying to get this set up and keep the cats

away from it. Okay, I would say that I got very little sleep because I stayed up all night trying to figure out how to hook it up. And I was on a a discord call with one of my mods and they were trying to walk me through it the whole time, and it was I would just it was not clicking. It just wasn't And it's so simple, but it was so difficult for me because I managed to make the simplest task difficult. And so I went to bed at about three and then got

up about ten minutes ten minutes ago. So okay, okay, what about you, miss, I think a lot of my evening would be doing the

same. I'd be probably trying to set it up. I don't have VR, so I don't even know how to even start, or I have no context and how to even set up VR, so I probably i'd probably be most of the evening trying to figure it out and then realizing how exhausted I am trying to sleep, not able to sleep, and then I'll be thinking about it, and I think probably most of the evening I probably won't be sleeping because I'd be so nervous about sensors and screens so close to my eyes

and what that could do to my brain. And then there's just this this this downhill slope of me just not sleeping because I'm anxious about this game thing that I get so excited for, you know, like a normal night sleep. Okay, yeah, they would have had some calibration and stuff to do, and all of you would notice that they have like forced feedback sort of built into the vest and to and on the gloves, so you can actually

feel stuff like they had. You probably pick up like a glass of water or something, you know, and move it around, and there was a certain it doesn't feel exactly like the real thing. There's probably a level of disconnect there, but you could actually feel stuff. Question is it waterproof? Most likely not? Oh no, he's built something up. Well, then I have no water near me whatsoever. I will pick up my poke ball

instead. Okay. I think it just means like a like a like a virtual water, you know, like in in the calibration, you know, like it's just so you can feel it. Yeah, And there's just you know, like like like any sort of PlayStation controller, Nintendo controller, whatever, there's like that little bit of forced feedback that probably like comes through the vest and it's probably like it's like whoa, Like that's so cool, Like you've you know, you feel that like aspect. Is that uncomfortable for you?

Peebee? Yeah? That makes me a little nervous, yes, just because it's, uh, you know, how is it giving me that feedback? You know, it's just on my chest and on my hands and on my head. There's nothing plugged into me. So that's weird to me that that freaks me out a little bit. I would probably stay up, if I'm completely honest, I would stay up all night researching the technology about this. Before I was getting ready to do it, I would be anxious just

like this. Then I would be like, all right, two hours or three hours of sleep is enough. Yeah, it's probably something along the lines of I'm not sure how they do it right now, but I would assume it'd be something like a small motor or something. It's just there's a few points. It doesn't give you like feedback though. No, it's not like an electric feeling. No, no, no, no, it would be it'd be like a it'd be like a like a like a massage thing,

you know. Yeah, okay, yeah, it's definitely not the same feeling as like picking up a glass of water or something. It's just like, lets you know that you're holding something. Okay, So what happens? Like if I put down the virtual glass and I like tap my I like tap my chest, you just feel yourself tap your chest, okay, like it It doesn't even even with the game. It doesn't feel different. Oh like seeing your yourself in the game. Yeah, there would probably be like it

doesn't there's like a weird disconnect, you know, like it doesn't. It's not it's not the same feeling. Yeah, conception okay, yeah, So you guys have all set up your streams PB. Yes, what do you think your stream would be? Like? You've got your stream running right now? This is you guys are all getting ready to go live with this new game. What is it like? What happens? How are you starting your

stream up? Well? I have redone all of my overlays like a nerd so that they're you know, VR and they match the artwork and I'm really excited, and yeah, I probably just boot it up and say hi to everybody, and then I put it on and then I'm like, okay, you guys ready, and then we pull it out of the box. I guess I've already set up the capture card, but I would probably rebox it so they could see what it looked like and then take it out and put

it on and then have chat come up. I guess because you said it's integrated with Twitch, Yeah, you'd be able to see like any I think probably, like I know, I've watched some Beats save streams and they've got kind of like a you have to like look up in a weird angle to see the chat. They probably have something like that. Okay, yeah, I would probably be jumping up and down and squealing like an idiot like I

do when I get excited about stuff. Okay, yeah, And I think in the like with the system, they probably have like some kind of some some notification to let you know that you're recording. There'd be like a red dot and say like streaming live to you know, Twitch, that TV slash pumpkin barrier. So I probably like, is this working as a song, because that happens every time I do that from my phone, it tells me it's live, but I don't know until chat tells me, yes, we

are live chat. I'm gonna need you guys to role play with us as well. I want you to act like Peebe's chat right now, you guys have just seen peb muted screen screen. I'm gonna need you guys to role play with us. So, yeah, Peeb has just turned on her stream. This is amazing. She's kind of showing you like this calibration inside the the uh inside this this vrt rig beta. So what would that be like? Peb uh? Wow, I can see you guys, and I can

What you would see though, is there'd be like some notifications that come up and say, you know, uh, be aware the v r t RIG beta U may cause you know, people with epilepsy. It's got the like epilepsy warnings and stuff like that. You know this this sort of I think what you'd expect.

Would there be something along the lines of like, whenever you're using the vrt rig beta, please make sure not to immediately remove the glasses from your eyes.

Please go to this menu option before you remove. And they have like a menu option like pause or something along those lines, and they show like a little icon of you removing the vrt rig just so they have like a procedure maybe if you test it, like it kind of like dims the lights or it has some kind of special effects so that it sort of like dulls your senses first before you take them off. Okay, that's cool. Oh but now I can't see chat, so I'm gonna put it back on.

I grew up on World of Warcraft and all I wanted to do when I was playing it was the in it And cannot stress enough how excited I am for this on DP. Ever since I watched every anime with every VR

thing, ever, I've always wanted to actually be in that world. I don't even care, I care, like does matter, I'd live there, Like Ready Player one, I wanted to be in that. Not the movie, but the book. I was gonna say that was the first system I ever played with, So I'm a little nervous to play something like for the first time in front of an audience, you know, really easy, don't sweat it super yeah, like, yeah, it's it's we just the sheets are a little bit to get used to, but once we get used to it, it's great.

Immediately upon loading it, you see this sort of strange I think, mix of technology and strange landscapes scrolling through in a sort of cinematic view, you know, you get that sort of cinematic experience that comes up before like the menu loads, like they do like one of those like thirty second sort of landscape pan thrus and you just see the world

sort of open up in front of you. See strange creatures that maybe you could never imagine flying through the air, towering monstrosities and massive, massive cities that seem impossible. Before you lies New min Era the Ninth World. Hey, these are the best graphics I've ever seen in my life. Yeah, thank you so much to Nvidio. But the RTX sponsored stream for this guys are amazing. But I don't know if it's like a I don't know if like the zone is like out of our level or out of our tier. Oh is it tiered zones? I don't know. I have no

idea. This isn't like Division two where you have to get like World Light ranking five or something to like do your rates. Like I really just want to walk in and get killed by a rape. What happens is if we die in this game, well you might try it, you know, die real life. It happens maybe Canada. yeah, taking a circle. I can just sit here and do this for hours. Yeah yeah, yeah, oh I might be here for hours. I mean character creation time limit on the beta at all. I mean we should maybe just create our characters fairly quickly. We can always, I mean we're gonna have to remake them after the beta anyway, all right, this guy looks like Bury and I want to play. or armor that you can imagine. So if you have a bow, it's probably not a piece of wood with a string on it. It could be made of energy or can I'm mulligan, absolutely absolutely, That's why I jump. I really got to think about it. But just to give you an example of some of the things it could be. These things might not even you might not even make need to make physical contact with these items. This

weapon could be controlled with your thoughts. It could be controlled remotely. You know, there's a lot of ways to interpret this, and it's really up to you. Here in the Ninth World, there are a wide swath of different possibilities, so don't try to limit your mind. Imagine almost anything can exist in this setting. So oh crazy, Okay, a lot of the descriptions are very vague. For that, it's just a bit of okay,

yeah, an interpretation, you know, entire system. So then my ugliest fuck character, let me give a better description, because his face has a unifron. Both eyes are miscolored, but they're both really ugly colors, Like we're talking spring green, twitch chat green on one eye, and then we're talking probably the ugliest purple that you can think of. My character is scarred and marred and burnt and whatever have you. And then has the scraggliest hair

like we're talking me but like twenty sixteen. And then leather jerkin, two carbon fiber daggers and like a nice little little pouch. I think I've got a lot of I've got a lot of tools in my pouch as far as I can see, So like I wear a lot of a lot of that on the belt. Excellent, and I'm fucking ugly. Don't forget that cone head. Conehead. My character is also a jack, so I imagine I'm kind of wearing similar like starting armor as Jay is. Like we're kind of

you can tell that we're of the same class kind of thing. But my character has really really all over the place, long luscious curly brown hair, big big, big brown eyes, and just what looks like a kind of crackle of light coming out from under her right eye, under her skin, and at my hip the same place that Jay has his kind of weapons.

I have a rolled up whip that's hung on one of my hips that's kind of like vibrating a little bit with this kind of pulsating energy that doesn't quite look earth based in its material And I have a dagger on my other side and kind of really really really worn in heavy boots and braided into my hair.

I have all of these odd little trinkets and bits that like to us would look like regular earth like broken up you know, materials and CDs or whatever, broken pieces of things that we would recognize, but to somebody living that far into the future are kind of like braided in like their rare gemstones

and stuff that is so cool. I am al Rick Shiloh. My character has probably like a wool duster or like a wool long coat or an extended pea coat, I guess, And in it he has like straps around and inside of looks like vials of just really inert and weird, you know, interesting materials. Some of it glows, some of it is liquid, some

of it is or from something that you've probably never seen. And he has on his hip under the under the cloak or under the jacket is it looks like to be a little like a pistol with an extended magazine that comes out horizontally and that is a buzzer, but it has it launches little buzzsaws. But that is what he wears and he has. He's a tall guy, tall slim, has a pompadoor with like instead of a streak of cyan blue, it's a streak of fiber optics, like a fiber optic in plant.

That's a that's Aldrich Schild. Yes, I can I can go next, So Coral I or my character. The way I've done the avatar is pretty basic. I probably just went with anything that looked good when I generated it. For the face and the hair and stuff, so it's like, you know, brown, probably shoulder length, and I was like, yeah, that's great. But what I got really excited about was a responsive synth piece

of clothing and a shirt that displays my insides. So I have this T shirt on that displays my inner workings, which are of course cybernetic because I wanted to be a robot. And I have a weapon which is a bow but it is actually just like cybernetic ting in coils and it's like wrapped around on my back and it will connect and turn itself into a bow when I go to use it, and it shoots energy, no arrows. Nice. I remember everything now, I remember. I remember. Okay, So my

character, you know, she's not as short. You know what five four eleven is short, So she's about four eleven actually, and uh she she still has the just the bright red hair because I just love red red hair, but side shaped to one side LEDs in her hair that are gold. They just shine a really bright gold and similar to the makeup that's around her

eyes, just bright gold with accents of like black and white contrast. And her armor that she wears is actually also a metallic gold, almost like a a like a chest plate that you would find on a character in World of Warcraft, like one of the dragons or something. Some people will get that reference. And uh, and she carries a whip that's wrapped around her waist like a golden lasso, but it's a it's a whip and it shines just as bright as her hair and everything else. The goggles on her head also

shine around the rims. And lastly, she has like this set of wings that come out. They're on her back and then they just come out and and again, like just this beautiful golden color, like everything is golden about her, just like basically picture and Angel, but like techno angel that makes

any sense with LEDs and a little bit of cyberpunk mixed in there. She does have a backpack as well, just a really small one on her back about where the wings would come out and kind of like they're duo and that's about it. So oh and space Boots obviously got to have them giant golden boots that have LED's, so lots of LEDs. I have an obsession with LED's. Okay, just got the package. You can see that there's grass and rocks and things all about, but there's also like some strange looking sort of reliefs in the ground, and you see the vortex close behind you as you move your way through. This is all I've ever wanted in a game Dark Matter.

ciphers are commonplace throughout New min Era the Ninth World. They are remnants of technology from ages past and are extremely common. However, due to the nature of most ciphers and everyone's understanding of them. They are only one use. Are you sure you would like to use this now? Are we good? Yeah? Yeah, it's best to just blow through cyphers because then we would always just get new ones. But yeah, we only have a limited amount, so yeah, okay, I use it. The travel bubble expands.

I believe it's ten feet in diameter, so it's a tight squeeze in the in the sphere, but it does sort of expand around you. A sort of strange crystalline like liquid refraction is happening with all of the light that's streaming into it. So there's a weird sort of prismatic effect that I think alters your perception of your surroundings a bit. You know, everything's a little bit distorted and whatnot. But you have a you have control over this. It

sort of hovers up from the ground. Wow, okay, so I kind of just I just like push on the edges a little bit and again it ripples and it'll let me move it like I'm rolling it like a hamster ball in my life. see that there is almost an instant reaction to these to these objects. They start to spin around the location, and then they start to spread outwards away from your location, almost like they're looking for something. Holy shit, it worked. What do you do? So a lot of the landscape is in your area's kind of a bit mountainous, and I think all of you will probably be a bit blown away as you're sort of traveling through. This is a very different world, okay. Things act a lot differently, the creatures look a lot different, and you'll see things I think you've

seen in some video games that you've played. There's strange like metallic objects that shapes might not make any sense for where they're positioned in the mountain side. You might just see like a very strange angled metallic object that that has no seams in it that's kind of rounded, like you've never actually seen anything that

could, you know, be like this, It doesn't seem possible. You'd see maybe a few pieces of land that are sort of floating in the air with root systems bursting out from the bottom and strange looking plant life and trees. There would be a few creatures that are sort of roaming about as well, some that are way too big that would probably terrify you a little bit,

and some that might float through the air without any wings. There are a lot of sites that you see along the way that I think probably might make you a little anxious. In general, this is a weird place, and I think as you're making this trip, it's just that that feeling deepens with every mile. It's a very strange place. The look better in the fucking trailer. The landscape in general, there's a lot of rolling like green hills, and there's some foothills and that kind of thing that you see.

It's a little bit mountainous in the area that you are in. In general, you can see that there are herds of these like strange looking creatures that are moving about, and some places below some of them have stopped by the river to have a drink. Holy shit. Yeah, if I didn't have this huge migraine, I might be enjoying this better. But right now I'm just feeling really uncomfortable. M It's like fucking moro wind and oblivion. And oh can I cast healing touch on her head? Does that make sense?

Then my eyes glow the same color, and the light just sort of like emits to my fingers and then into like on her head. So it just becomes she has a migraine. It just becomes a bright light perfect.

I think what happens is you actually see a strange representation of Coralie's brain in light Okay, sort of scale outwards from her head and you can see like these points light up and instinctually you touch them and the pain goes away. It's like playing a mini game. That was really cool. Okay. Huh, oh man, you really do work miracles. How did you do that? Okay, now I'm freaked out this game. People could store them somewhere. They could have a storehouse of them. I guess that means we could find more when we land, right, Yeah,

you probably do. Probably buy some. If we find a settlement somewhere, they probably have a cipher shop or something. We just can't use more than our limit. We just can't have on us more than our limit. Oh okay, you can't have on us more. You can, you could use all three if you want, but then you can't use any more because you won't have them until you get more. Yeah, okay, that makes sense. It's sort of like you know, magic, You use it and

then you got to recoup it. I guess it's just actual items. Okay, okay, are you going to essentially just keep heading towards the town of Kepford. Yeah, okay, So about four hours or so pass and eventually in the distance you can see a I think most of you would understand that it's sort of a lumber town kind of place with a small port that's located

there. You can see like a few ships that would be like really weirdly shaped and kind of alien like sort of you know, like I think very you know how some of the ships look in like the exotic ships and No Man's Sky. They's sort of bulbous and strange looking. I think there's a lot of those kinds of ships that you see at the port. Do you land the travel bubble outside of town? Yes? Yeah. If is anybody sleeping or have we just been sitting silently for four hours or talking or I'm
