Episode description

What does God's voice sound like? As modern people, we might not hear trumpets coming from the clouds, but we believe God still speaks. This Christmas season, we continue our worship series, “Angelic Announcements”, where we will hear the voice of God in the words of the angels announcing the coming of the Messiah. We will celebrate the voice of hope, the proclamation of presence, and the arrival of God's love in our midst.

In this sermon, Pastor Clayton reminds us that the message of freedom and salvation through Jesus is central to the Christmas story, encouraging us to find release from fears and burdens, and reinforcing that we are never alone. Joy is deeper than happiness; it is rooted in the assurance of God’s presence. Recognizing this allows us to experience true joy amid life’s challenges. And sharing the message of Emmanuel with others can bring hope and connection, reminding those who feel alone that they are supported by God’s love and God’s community.
