One Body, One Hope | Sermon by Rev. Allison Jean | September 29, 2024

The letter to the Ephesians contains a simple teaching; the story of Christ should transform every aspect of our life. Within this ancient, multi-cultural church, the Good News of God’s salvation took root and created a unified and diverse community of faith. God calls us into unity, not uniformity, and we will explore this in our new series, “One” and learn how the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus empowers us to live faithful lives.

In this sermon, Pastor Allison highlights the message that Paul shares to the people of Ephesus, which tells us that diverse communities can come together under Christ, promoting a unified spirit. This reinforces the idea that different backgrounds can enrich the church. The message calls for efforts to maintain peace and unity in a divisive world, urging us to focus on commonalities rather than differences.
