Episode description

Please join us as we conclude our sermon series, “The Wonderful World of Jesus” where we’ve explored the biblical message of Jesus through the lens of some of the most popular animated movies of all time. We conclude this series with “Inside Out and we’ll take a look at some of the most important words Jesus gave to his disciples and find parallels between the stories.

In this sermon, Pastor Sarah relates “Inside Out” to Christ calling us to be honest with our neighbors. Instead of saying, “I’m fine” when someone asks us how we are, we should try to be vulnerable and share our true feelings instead of masking them, just like Riley’s parents ask of Riley in the animated movie. God calls us to foster a welcoming community that encourages others to be their authentic selves.
