Episode description

The behavior of Christians is the leading cause for people choosing to leave the church. During this new sermon series, “Do Unto Others”, we are coming back to the basics: what are the rules of engagement Christians should follow when we encounter other people? Join us as we dig deep into these relational rules that Jesus not only taught but lived by example.

In this sermon, Pastor Clayton shares how Matthew’s teaching describes how the call to turn the other cheek exemplifies a powerful approach to conflict resolution, advocating for peace over retaliation. Even though our first instinct might be to fight back when faced with a conflict, God calls us to be better and respond with love instead of anger. We are empowered to do this because God first loved us.
