Episode description

“Do not let your hearts be troubled...” These words of Jesus are hard to live by when everything in life is demanding so much of us. We try to find balance in our family, friends, work, life, but it feels impossible. God desires us to have balanced, abundant lives. Each week in worship, we will explore the ways our scriptures and faith help us find balance in our time, finances, relationships, and self-care.

In this sermon, Pastor Allison addresses how important it is to make the time to rest and take time for ourselves, despite our hectic and busy schedules. Sabbath is a Divine pause that is essential for spiritual and physical rejuvenation, which God has given us and even modeled for us in the story of Creation. Practicing and keeping the Sabbath is an invaluable gift and tool we can use to maintain balance in our lives and be our best selves.
