Welcome and Podcast's Purpose

Welcome to the first episode of the Simple and Easy Arabic Podcast. My name is Amy and I'm part of the Simple and Easy team. Together with my dear colleagues Majit, Simon, and Emily, we're trying to create the best possible content for you. the field of Levantine spoken Arabic. In this episode I will briefly introduce to you why we're making this podcast and what it will look like.

So why are we making this podcast? Honestly, the reason is very simple. We were just super frustrated by not Suitable listening material in Levantine spoken Arabic or Ami as they call it. So, since no one was gonna create it or no one had been creating it, we decided to be there for you and start creating it ourselves. And we believe that listening to stories in Arabic is the ultimate secret to improving your Arabic skills. Not only will it help you to grow your listening skills,

but also it will help you to become a more confident speaker and it will expand your vocabulary massively without you even noticing. Finally, the podcast is the ideal way to study while you're on the go. This way you can take your Arabic classes with you. Anywhere we can be with you. As you go for a run, if you're in the train, in the car, taking a walk. Whatever you're doing, your Arabic classes will be with you and you have no more excuses to postpone studying.

Episode Structure and Learning Tips

How does our podcast work? Every episode has a different story for you. This can be different types of stories. Inspirational stories, funny stories, historical stories, parables, all types of things. Every episode will start off with a short summary of the story you're about to listen to, and Very important, 10 words that you need in your vocabulary to be able to fully understand the story. Every episode will have different words so it will expand your vocabulary massively.

After this introduction, the real story will start. The story will be told to you by our dear friend and colleague Majit. And he will pronounce the words very carefully to make sure you can keep up. It's good to know that we will not be translating anything throughout the story. The entire story will be in array.

Don't worry, we're sure that you will be able to get the meaning of it. Try to listen to the entire story at once and don't stop in between. If you didn't get parts, get go back to them afterwards. and repeat them slowly. After the story, we have prepared some questions for you to help you process the story completely.
