Thank you guys so much for joining. Today's episode, you know, this is like the Dark Ages in terms of research. We're going back to the 80s.
And interestingly, this time period, it's so hard to research because it's too modern that no one has written books about this time period or these couples in this time period, and yet it's too far away that there's not a lot of online materials. So it's so hard. But I love the if you look up pictures of this couple, they are just so adorable. Yeah, they're. So. Cute and it really. And who is?
This couple now. This is Sarah Jessica Parker and Robert Downey Junior. So SJP and our DJ, triple name people, they dated for eight years in the 80s when they were really young, from 18 years old. And they're both two people who I hinted at this last week. I have a notes app in my phone with like two people who I think will look like they belonged in our family, mine and Kelly's family.
Not that they look like us, but they just look like they would be related to us. And interestingly, both of them are in the list. And they dated. Yeah. You're attracted to that look, Mel. Can you read the list to? Me. Yeah. OK, so these two Robert De Niro as well. Oh yeah, I could see that. Pete Davidson, you might have suggested this from Boston Rob from Survivor. Oh yeah, I I. Feel that? And Natalie Portman? Yes, that's what I have so far, but. That's our family.
I would love to make a Google lot of most. People, they just feel. Like no family, they. Feel like they're related to us, so there must be something there, but I hope that what about they're not related to each other? Who? What about Julia Louis Dreyfus? You are so right. Oh my God, I'm adding that. She's in our family. She is. It's just a vibe. You guys probably have that in your families, too. It's just a feeling like I feel connected to them in some way.
Young star Jessica Corker and Robert Downey Junior. Darnie Junior are so cute. I'm looking at pictures right now. Oh, just adorable. I I love Robert. I know. Rob, what do I call him? I love his look. I'm seeing a picture of him with glasses. You know, my weakness. He looks. So cute, I know. Oh, and her curly hair. Yeah, I love Sarah Jessica Parker. Sarah Jessica Parker is one of those people where I get so angry because I don't even want to address this.
But, like, some people make fun of her looks because I feel like she just like, has such a natural beauty. But like, people aren't used to that. They're used to like people looking exactly the same in Hollywood. And so people are super nitpicky about how she looks. I was somewhere like a couple months ago and someone was like, oh, I hate Sarah Jessica Parker. She's so ugly. And it really made me, it made me so upset because I think she's one of the most genuinely
beautiful people. I mean, that's why. That's why I think she'd belong in our family. Yeah, and I think also when you see here on film, she is so small and petite and cute. Like, I think maybe those people just haven't seen her act or something. Like they don't understand her full charisma that brings out her beauty. I don't know. I agree with you. I think she's so cute. Yeah, and when like people. Aren't used to just a natural beauty. Yeah, exactly.
And her natural curls like she's just stunning. Mold too. Didn't she have it removed? Oh, did she? Yeah, she did have one on her chin. She just radiates something so unique, I think and like that's why she is Carrie Bradshaw. She is the face of Sex in the City. Like there is no one like Sarah Jessica Parker and I I love her and I love everything she stands for.
We we, like a week ago, tried to go to her store in New York City. Well, we went there, but she wasn't there, which was disappointing, but I did. See her there last? Time. Oh yes. Or the other time. Oh my God. We I already. Told you story on this podcast. You did. Who is she? I'll get into it. Actually, first. Oh my God. I forgot to write down the three words I would use to describe this couple. But I'll What do you think?
I'll say young and playful and mysterious because I couldn't find much about them, so we're going to do a lot of inferring. But SJP. She was born March 25th, 1965 in Nelsonville, Ohio. Her mother owned and operated a nursery school and her father was a journalist and she had two brothers and a sister. But when she was really, really little, like 3 1/2, her mom and dad got divorced and her mom remarried to an an accountant slash truck driver.
So two different jobs. And her mom went on to have four more kids. So Sarah just got one of eight kids. Oh. My gosh, yeah. I'm surprised by that. I didn't know that she's like because Carrie Bradshaw has like, seemingly no sibling. I mean, I actually never watched The Carrie Diaries, but I've never she never mentions any siblings, so she kind of seems like an only child. I know. Are all of the Sex in the City women only children? It kind of seemed that.
They, like, never mentioned their families. Besides, when Miranda's mom died. Yeah. Weird. I don't know. Maybe Carrie does. But yeah, I mean, Carrie Bradshaw is, I think is an only child and seems like an only child, so that's interesting. And she's not even the. Baby. No, She's in the middle. And you know, because there are so many kids in the family, her parents struggled financially to support them. They'd often have to forgo Christmas, which So not Carrie Bradshaw.
That's going to be a lot of this evidence I could. See Carrie though, being like, broke. Oh, I guess my Christmas will just be a cigarette. Oh. Yes, so. True. Yeah, Sarah Carrie Browja. She struggled to pay the bills because she put her money towards very expensive shoes. Not not like supporting her family, but yeah, she probably got her electricity turned off as well. All right. I will have to stop the episode right there. Thank you so much for listening to the teaser.
