lovers? This is a special episode because we're looking back on the past year, the significant couples in pop culture who broke up, who got together, what other exciting news there were. And I hope that this episode, it will be, first of all, I hope that we can do this every year, but it'll be like one of those, you know, pop music mash ups, kind of like when you listen to it or whatever, 10 years from now, it will bring you back into this time period.
It's a time capsule for 2023. I hope so. We'll live on. I know it'll be kind of cool if anybody listens to this way in the future and they can revisit 2023 and. Some of these couples are people who had been suggested, so we're going to just dip our toes in and touch on them a little bit. And who knows, maybe after you guys listen, reach out and tell us who you want us to talk about and learn more about. Yeah, in the new year. We could do a whole episode on some of these people.
This is also our 66th episode. Wow. Do you? Know what that means? We can do another March Madness right soon. Oh wait, what number? Technically. Even if it's 66, you're right, because there have been some two-part. Episodes. And then, like, special episodes. So we'd have to figure out how many couples there are. We need 32, yeah. How do we know when it? I guess it's going to keep track. We're going to have to do the math. How? Do we know when it's ready?
Never mind. Yeah, yeah, I am drinking. I'm just going to pour my drink real quick. I'm also having wine because this is a This is a New Year's celebratory episode. And the way we split it up, I covered breakups, Kelly covered new relationships in 2023. So I feel like we should just go back and forth. Yes. And touch on the ones on the list. Also some pregnancy. Yes, and marriages. Oh yeah, Love and marriage. What should we do first? Give us. What do you guys think? Give.
Us a new couple. Just a new couple. Yeah, hit us. What's fun? What's on your list? All right, all right. Well, I gotta say, you know, you can't talk about 2023 without talking about Taylor Swift. Oh yeah, Taylor. Taylor. Person of the Year, Time magazine. And it's true, I think. I mean, this year was crazy for Taylor Swift. You just couldn't escape it. She somehow got bigger and bigger. I know. It's like it's too big. And I not that I think it's
undeserved. Like, I know why people love her. I love her, but I worry about her. I feel like it's not good for her to be this famous. I hope that she's OK with someday kind of chilling out and retreating a bit, yeah. But I bring her up because she had two new relationships this year that were very high profile. First Matt Healey, Matt Healey, and then Travis Kelsey, the football player. And I asked on our Patreon what people thought about romance in 2023.
I said, what do you guys think of this past year as far as new relationships, slashed marriages, slashed breakups in the news? Did anything particularly interest you, warm your heart or drive you crazy? And Muna commented I'll admit so no one else feels guilt to do so. I'm obsessed with Travis, Kelsey and Taylor Swift. There I said it. And then Layla said I second this. And then Sierra said I started out as a hater, but they've really grown on me and I love it.
Heart Face. I think it is cute because spoiler on the top of my breakup list is her and Joe Alwyn. Oh my God, this was that was this year too. That's crazy. My relationship before that's true. Yeah, they might have broken up before, but we didn't find out about it until January. That's. True and but her and Joe were so private. And now when dating Travis, I like that she is free to just be public with her relationship. Her and Travis have been spotted kissing and holding hands and
she goes to all his games. It does feel like he's on her level because he's very extroverted and he also likes to be in the spotlight. So it's good that they both neither of them are feel pressured by the attention.
Yeah, it is weird to me. I'm not saying there's a conspiracy per Southeast, but it is just weird to me that she was with Maddie Healey and people hated him and were freaking out and like, yeah, writing letters to Taylor Swift about how disappointed they were in her because Matt Healey had said
some offensive things. But then so quickly, people have totally just forgotten about it and love her and Travis Kelsey and there's T-shirts about it and everything and it's just odd to me. Well, I also heard a conspiracy. Not that I think that they're not really dating, but you know, one of the first times she went to his games was at MetLife Stadium to see the Chiefs play The Jets.
So when you Google Taylor Swift Jets, the first thing that comes up is no longer all of her carbon emissions from her private, you know, PJS that she's always taking all around the. World. I did hear that rumor that it was for SCO. Mrs. Search Engine Optimization. I don't know. It's just one of those mysteries of the world. But they do seem cute. He is her 13th boyfriend and 13 is her lucky number. And I I saw this. Yeah, I know. Isn't it that? Now that makes me think it's fake.
But also, we don't know how many boyfriends she's actually had. That's true. Is that just people? Say that's what people say. That's what people say. It's like, like they're not counting Martin Johnson in there. Yeah, so who knows? But also, I liked this thing I saw on TikTok that was like, it's full circle because Taylor Swift, she has the song 15 with the lyric and your life, you'll do things greater than dating the boy on the football team. And now she's achieved all these
things, amazing things. And she's like the biggest celebrity in the world, literally time person of the year. And her life obviously isn't defined dating the boy on the football team. And if anything, it's like there's this joke too, of people saying, oh, she put Travis Kelsey on the map, but he was a huge football star beforehand. But it's nice that she has achieved like, all the success, you know, first in a way. It's cute, It's cute. It is really all American.
Like I know. It makes me her on. It makes her boyfriend understand so. Perfect after this Maddie Healy, when she did seem wicked into him. So I'm just confused and also I feel like it really increased football viewership this year because also people have been really hating on football the last couple of years. Oh my gosh. The whole Colin Kaepernick thing and player safety. And then last year you're making your.
I know. No, I think they're I think they're real couple because last year a player nearly died on live TV during the game and people were like oh God, football is way too dangerous. So I mean the NFL kind of needs people to get back on their side. So Taylor Swift is in the audience like the NFL was going crazy with that. But I still believe that they're a real couple. It's kind of cute.
Like he he publicly said he went to her concert and tried to make a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, but he wasn't allowed backstage. And then she heard about that and then her people got in touch with him and then they went on a date. But I was nervous in the beginning that it was too overexposed. But that would be way too much pressure.
Yeah. Imagine dating someone for the first few months of your relationship and the whole world that's watching and like obsessing over it, dressing up as you guys for Halloween. That's crazy, but I guess he's not intimidated by it. I hope for good reasons like wholesome reasons, but see what happens. Yeah, I wish them well. I I've heard rumors that they could get engaged soon. Wow. It's just crazy. This has been a wild year. It's just the fact that it started out with her and Joel
Win and then Magdalene and this. Just what the heck? Well, I was so nervous for her. I was so sad, like thinking about her, seeing all these love songs that were written about Joe on stage at the era's tour, like, oh gosh, it's got to be so hard going through a breakup. But she really did bounce back, and she did. I think it's a It is a nice lesson that like, you can go through a bad breakup with someone that you really loved, but you can find love again.
You can. You can watch it begin again. Do you want to share a breakup from this year? Yeah, I would say so. I kind of did like superlatives
with my breakup. So the biggest relationship scandal, we kind of touched on this a little bit a couple episodes ago would be in July it was reported that Ariana Grande and her husband of two years, Dalton Gomez, split up and it was then soon reported that she started dating her Wicked Co star Ethan Slater. Ethan is most famous for playing SpongeBob SquarePants on Broadway. Yeah, I had them in my new couples list. Oh my God. These. Overlap, I know. What were you gonna say?
So around this time, Ethan filed for divorce from his wife of four years, who had given birth just eleven months prior. They welcomed their first child together and his wife then told Page 6. And now I don't know if she was contacted about it, like what the question they asked her was because the comment that she gave was Ariana. Is the story really not a girl's girl? My family is just collateral damage. And other reports said that the ex-wife was contacting every
publication. But you know what? Even if she was, who cares? I mean, she got left by her husband after, you know, still being postpartum for a hot pop star that, like, every guy seems to break up with her girlfriend over. So yeah, I'd be pretty pissed too. I wouldn't care about saying whatever I wanted, especially if people were contacting me. Why would you? Mellie wrote in my notes that I feel like you would be into Ethan Slater. What's? Why?
Because I think historically you like redheads and you also really like SpongeBob. OK, yes, but I don't like, I mean, no judgement, nothing against this type of guy. But I'm not into like, musical theater guys. OK. OK. All right. No, like I'm sure there would be exceptions I I just I think. Also, I mean, I know you're taking it, but I was just like, I can see it. Well, I obviously wouldn't like any man that would leave his wife. No, no, no. This like this. Is me totally like separating
him from everything? Yeah, that is really upsetting. But I love SpongeBob. You're right. What do you think? Somebody has the urge to leave their spouse. How much does that matter? What do they do? Do you have to give in to your feelings? You know what I mean? Oh, I know is. There a world where he could have just even though he wants to be with her so bad and it feels like so right. You just go no and you just I I
know. We've yeah, we've talked about this before because if someone cheats, obviously the argument is why do you cheat? Just leave them. But then also. When? Someone leaves their partner, they're villainized because maybe they didn't do it in the right way or it's just like like in this situation, it's like, well, she had just given birth, like he's leaving her for Ariana Grande. I don't know. I think some men are just like, it does seem like Ariana. She obviously is so attractive
to men. Like every single guy I know thinks she's so hot and does seem like she just doesn't give a fuck like that. Like she's not a girl's girl. She I like it, I see it, I want it, I got it. She doesn't care. But The thing is, it also doesn't seem like it lasts for the people that she gets with too. I hate to say that. Like, are her and Ethan going to be together forever? If so, I'm happy for them. That would be great and that would make it worth it. But if it's just like a fling
dude, that is really his fault. Yeah, I think in the case of Ethan or other people that have left their spouse, I think you need to or if you're like tempted to leave yourselves. I feel like you need to be super honest and really look in yourself and really think like, why are you doing this? Like, did you, are you putting in what you should in your relationship? Like, is it partly losing its luster because you're not putting effort into it?
Because I think you you do not need to still do that. Like you need to still be cute with your partner and stuff, and like, are you just chasing a feeling of excitement or is there seriously incompatibilities that will never be fixed? Like, I don't know, I think it depends, but. So I think sometimes. People are just like chasing a distraction.
Yeah, I mean, we've talked about this on the podcast too, which I think is one reason why this really struck a nerve with people is like, I hate the way a man will view a woman differently after she's given birth and now that she's a mom. Like, obviously her personality is different and she might not be the same woman that you fell in love with, but you have to adapt and grow together as a couple. And that's kind of the vow that you made. I think It's obviously Elvis. The marriage is.
Yeah, exactly. Obviously, if the marriage is over, it's over. Like, I'm not saying I judge people for getting divorced. Like sometimes that's what you need to do. But I personally like this is just how I feel when you get married.
If you really think that that's for life and you made a commitment to each other that isn't much more serious breakup other like, then it Otherwise be If you weren't married and if you really were so confident at that time to make that decision, I think you have to put in some effort before calling it quits completely. Like these divorces where one
person is totally blindsided. I know because it's like, OK, it seems like the person just like, woke up one day and decided like, Yep, that's it. And leaving them for someone else too. I don't know. So I I feel really bad for his ex-wife. I just can't imagine how much insecurity that would inspire. You know him leaving her for Ariana Grande like, Oh my. God. At least they're being not super public about it. Yeah, that's true. That's true. Maybe she's learned a little bit
in that regard. But jeez, when Wicked comes out, that's something to watch, huh? The press. The press on that wish is going to be. Juicy. Yeah. Who does he even play? What? Oz? I've never actually seen the musical. I don't know the. I have seen the musical, but I don't remember it so well. I don't know. Damn. All right. Well, who's another new couple that you have? Well, how about we do a pregnancy? Oh, yes.
This I was saying to Mel that this episode is kind of like that page that's always in People magazine where it says breaking up first day marriage, You know, yeah, just a round up with everything going on. But I don't think we've talked about this on the podcast yet. But we have to It's that Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse, his girlfriend, are expecting a baby. And you know what? They were probably expecting the baby when we had recorded that
episode. I know. And I wanted to read a an e-mail from a listener we got from Cena and it says about this. It says hi Kellen, Mel. I just wanted to say how much I love your podcast. Oh thanks. I want to know if you guys have any feelings about that.
Loli know I do. Also, did you hear that Katherine Hardwick was recently on Josh Horowitz's podcast? She mentioned that she crashed Rob's birthday party and she saw Kristen there while she was retelling the story. Apparently, Kristen also crashed Rob's most. Recent birthday party which is crazy. Maybe I'm being very delusional and overly hopeful, but I think of that as a very major Robson update.
I know Kristen and Rob are both happy in their own relationships, although it's sometimes nice to reminisce and wonder what if. Ha ha. I hope this e-mail finds you well and don't sound like a crazy Twilight fan lol. Just felt like as previous host of the best Twilight podcast out there. Oh, thank you. I know this is kind of a tangent from the Rob and Suki news, but said she said that apparently she rang the doorbell and asked Rob if it was OK for her to come in. And he said of course that's why I heard, I heard from the podcast with Catherine. But OMG, my heart was fluttering when I heard that. Like what else happened? Did they talk afterwards? Wait, Kristen rang the doorbell and asked. Is it if I come in? Yeah. Who? How did she even have the idea of who did she even go with?
I know I'm. So curious. They must really be in the same circle that it's not weird for her to be there. I know. I wonder how Sookie felt about it. Did you see that video where Taylor Lautner was like, oh, it was really hard because me and Rob were never close. No, I didn't. He would not. I have to watch the full interview.
But he went on the Call Her Daddy podcast and he was like, yeah, he was like, it's just like, it was really hard because me and Rob are such different people and we were never close. Yeah, we. Could kind of like it was kind of awk that we could tell. I I want to listen to that more, to care what he heard, but we could tell they. Did not hang out? No way. No, never have not hung out since. Yeah, I think Rob is really not that close with that many people. I've said that many times.
Yeah. But about, Yeah, yeah, about him and Suki, though I well, it. I mean, it must really be over with him and Kristen. In a way, and it. Just kind of like the nail, Yeah, it should be This is the Nail in the goblin. I really don't think that they're getting back together, and this is something we've known, but it's kind of like Santa Claus. Like it? Takes you a while.
We still believe, but yeah. Yeah, every now and then you feel that little, you know, hint of magic, and you hope that by. Maybe when they're like 80 years old. Yeah. No, I shouldn't even say that. I know, but I really am happy for him and Suki. And she was performing at a concert in November and she had the visible baby bump. And she said, oh, I'm extra sparkly today to hide what's going on here, but I don't think I'm doing a good job. And she just, she just looks
like she was glowing. She looks so beautiful and like seeing her perform with a pregnant belly. I can't. Believe. It it just looked you like the epitome of love. And I saw today that there are headlines that she's wearing a ring on that finger. Again. OK, I've had some wine. I'm fangirling right now. I just can't believe Robert Pattinson. What is going to have a baby? Got somebody pregnant. It's just it's just crazy. Oh my God, Can you imagine being
pregnant with his child? I am jealous like. I am. But that that child would be so beautiful. So insanely, you know whoever this kid is is going to be the next Napoo baby model or actor or something. Like I just know it. Oh. And they're going to be beautiful, those eyes. Oh my God, I wonder what their. Name is going to be I know something Pattinson. Oh my God. Yeah, there's going to be like a next generation Pattinson. I wonder how Gustin feels.
Let's make guesses on if it's a boy or a girl. Yeah, and the weight, I don't think we'd ever find out, but actually I'm. You know what I originally thought, girl, But I'm. I'm going with boy. I guess I feel, girl. I feel yeah. Have you seen those videos that are from gender reveal parties that are like, I'm your Mama and I think you're going to be a boy? No, I haven't. Oh yeah, it's like, and then what? Emily. And then they like reveal it at the end. I don't think.
I don't think Rob and Suki would have a gender. Reveal party? No, I think. I think they won't reveal the name for a really long time. I think no one will even know the gender of that kid for. But I was, I was going to say that Kristen saying like, is it OK if I come in? To me, that does show that there is still a little bit of awkwardness. Yeah. Which I like because that shows me that it that it mattered, you know? I know. I like that too.
It wasn't casual. It wasn't just like, Oh yeah, I walked in. It was like, it was weird. And that's good. Can I? I feel like he's not the kind that would say no, though. No, no, no. I do think it's polite if you show up anywhere unannounced. Yeah, maybe say something, but it's true. I've never shown up to like a party unannounced. I don't think an EX2 that is pretty that is pretty bold. What about, like, in college, a party that just a random party? Yeah, yeah.
That's true. But a birthday party. But he probably had a lot of people there. What's with Robin, his birthday party? He's like, don't get. It he has one every single year, like and they're not even big ages, like when you're 30, when you're 35, when you're 40, Yeah, no, he. Does like 34. Yeah, every. And it's a big birthday and all the celebrities go, it's like, how could you have this possibly every single year because everybody else has a birthday too.
And like, are people going to birthday parties every single weekend in Hollywood? Well, I remember when we did the Robin Kristen episode and that was like the most granular detailed because Part 2, you know, we did like every single day they were seen together, they went, they did go to so many birthday parties. Yeah, they did. And they broke up over his birthday party. Like people don't know that. Like people think they broke up because of the cheating. They got back together.
And then supposedly she threw him a birthday party or a birthday celebration and he chose not to go. He didn't show up. So. Like for the people in Hollywood, the famous, It's kind of like how back in history balls were all the rage and everyone went to balls. They just have birthday parties like 3 * a week. Yeah, all the time. Oh yeah, I'm going to Beyoncé's birthday. Oh yeah, I'm going on so and so's birthday.
Yeah, that's true. Because, like, also they probably have so many acquaintances that they're really bad at, like capping it off here in New York. I only have, like, I could count all my friends on my hands. So I'm not going to be throwing a party. But I guess if I knew so many people and knew so many people wanted to come. Yeah, I mean they go to birthday parties for like 18 year olds. It's weird.
So weird. Oh, you would also think that Rob is so private that he wouldn't be the kind of guy that would want to have a big. I know. Birthday party and have the attention on him every single year. That's another one of the world's mysteries. Yeah. Robert Banzon in general is such a mystery. I know I'll never really fully understand that guy. Crazy someone will get to call him their. I know. I feel like he's been wanting to be a dad for a long time, so. Yeah, he used to say.
He always wanted to be a young dad. He's so goofy. I feel like he'd be really fun. Yeah, happy for for all of you. Congrats. So, OK, so my next celebrity breakup. This is a sad one. I so in my superlative, I said saddest breakup. I gave that honor to Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborah Lee Jackman. They were married for 27 years and they released a statement a couple months ago that said we have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful,
loving marriage. Don't they always say that our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth? Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding and respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all our lives. I just find it so sad when people are married for that long. That is so sad. That breaks my heart.
I know because you're because they're. I looked at like videos, like they or their Instagrams like they seemed so happy up until then. Of course, everyone's always showing the highlight reels, but it's like your life is so intertwined. 27 years. That's how old I am. They had been married for as long as I've been alive. I'm going to start.
Crying. Also, I don't know how to say this, but I feel like a lot of people were kind of shocked that they had been together in the 1st place, because Hugh obviously is regarded as the sexiest man alive, whatever, and she's not. She doesn't look like, I don't like you guys, know what I'm saying? She's a beautiful woman, I think, but she's just kind of more like she looks her age. She is a little bit older than him too. Like she has grayish hair.
Is this who your mom said? Like you should cover them? It's so wonderful he's been with her. Yeah, I think so, actually, yeah. But the implication was kind of like because she's not as attractive as him. Yeah, yeah, she has. She's has just like a more natural look than some of those guys than the women that they traditionally would date, I would say. I know. But unfortunately, we're like, so used to male celebrities always dating extremely perfect eye candy.
Younger. Like 20 years younger. Yeah, yeah. So that's who I had for SAD. What about you? Let's let's lighten the mood. OK, new couple. New couple. New couple This feels like this started a long time ago, but it's still 2023. Gotta gotta mention them. Timothy Chalamet and Kylie Jenner. People hated this couple. They were, really. Upset about it, I know. I feel like myself included.
I was like, what? Yeah. But actually, when I saw the video, and I'm sorry guys, I'm sorry if you're listening, I know you're not. I know it's invasive, but when I saw the video of you guys making out at a concert, I didn't think that's cute. No. And I started to ship it a little bit I. Think Kylie is actually my favorite of the Kardashians? Really.
She's just like, she just is who she is, You know, if you ever watch interviews of her, I feel like she's not trying to be that serious the way some of the other ones are. Yeah, you. Pointed out to me that she is a single mother and that's really sweet of him to be totally cool with that because we all know that there are some guys that wouldn't be and he is a pretty young man still and that's nice. Yeah, I think they looked really cute. And at the US Open too. Yeah.
They they looked beautiful together. I think they're both really great looking and they're young and I know I'm cool with it. I feel like the reason why people thought it was weird is kind of like mistaking them for characters, you know, like thinking, yeah, he speaks French, whatever. But thinking that he literally is like his character in Call Me By Your Name and oh, he was in Little Women, like, oh, he's this, I don't know, indie
literature guy. And then she's this, like, popular girl, even though that doesn't even exist outside of high school. Like that's not a thing. But even if that was the case, an unlikely pair is really. Yeah, people. I mean, we usually love that. So I don't like in TV shows and movies. So I don't know why in real life everybody was like, what the heck. Because I think that people, yeah, people do see him as a serious actor. Like, you know, was he nominated for an Oscar?
Yes, for calling me by your name. You know, his name is always brought up for Oscar nominated films. He's very highbrow in that sense and people regard the Kardashians in general as very trashy. And you know, having all this plastic surgery, they look down on them, but they probably have a lot more in common than we think. So we don't know them. Yeah, I think they look good
together. Yeah. I looked them up because I thought you'd bring them up, and I read that in August it was reported that they actually don't spend that much time together because they're both very busy, but that they talk a lot, apparently, according to the tablets. Man. We always hear that I know did seem like it did seem like she was at the Wonka premiere and she was at SNL when he hosted. She was there. That's good. In the audience? Yeah, wow.
I saw these fans were really upset because they had been waiting in line to get the standby tickets and then they were told last minute that the seats were given up to the Kardashians. That's kind of what you get, like if you are like waiting standby at anything though, that's why it's called standby. That is upsetting. I know. All right. How about so breakup? Yeah. So another superlative I had was for least shocking breakup. So the most shocking breakup? Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn.
Because I feel like that was. It was shocking. That was breaking news. But looking back in hindsight, it wasn't that shocking. I feel like there was little signs that, you know, I think people did. Think they were going to get married, so I. Think so. But when you listen to Midnight, it's the album. Like a granted is just an album. There are like I feel like hints that maybe wasn't working out, but I. Still think it does deserve the title as most shocking? Yeah, I think so, too.
Least shocking. I put. I didn't even know they had broken up. But when I just read it right before recording this episode, not surprised Kellyanne Conway and her husband George Conway. Kellyanne Conway is famous for being Donald Trump's advisor or not advisor aide. Well, I don't know if the same thing during his presidency. And also was his campaign manager for a while and her and her husband were married for
over 20 years. But during Trump's presidency, her husband George was very vocal about disagreeing with Trump's policies and just hated him so much. And on multiple occasions, him and Kellyanne would get in spats on Twitter publicly. And I think they also get in spats over because their daughter Claudia started get gaining attention on Twitter and Instagram. Around this time, he also would fight over their daughter online as well. What the heck? Because she was, like, a little wild.
And he would tweet. She would tweet something disparaging about Biden. And then George would retweet it. And I say something about Trump back. And it's like, Trump was her boss. and hard work. It's kind of funny, she came to his defense, but also nice of her for the bus. But yeah, that isn't surprising. That's what surprising is. That they didn't get divorced beforehand. I I can't wrap my head around that. Fighting with your spouse on Twitter? That's. Nuts to me, yeah. And then I feel like Kellyanne would be asked about that and she would be like, that is a private matter. It's like you're making it everybody's business.

This one was messy, 'cause it seemed like, first of all, people were shocked when they broke up. Like all these Jonas Brothers have their wives, that's their thing. Now they're all happy married with kids. Yeah. And they seemed really in love. But it was reported that they were breaking up, and it was really confusing because a couple of days after the reports came out, he then posted this black and white photo where his wedding ring is, like, really
prominent. He want, he wants us to look at his hand and then like the next day he announces that they're getting divorced. And the tabloid The Tabloids, are reporting that Joe has been raising the kids by himself for the past couple months while she's back in England. And people are thinking that he's manipulating the press to make it seem like she's an absent mother in order to garner support, like sympathy from folks.
But then a couple days later, she filed A lawsuit against him, claiming that he was refusing to hand over their passports and was illegally keeping the children from returning to England. So in a way, a more dramatic thing that you could say is like kind of accusing him of kidnapping in a way. Super, super messy. But it seems like they did resolve it and now we're fine. And you know, we haven't had any drama since then, but really,
yeah, not great. I think soon after that some other celebrity thing happened though and really took the attention off of them, so. And what was that? I forget. Maybe it was a tailor. It was something, yeah, probably was Taylor, but Taylor Swift was then like out with Sophie, I know. Like paparazzi shots, I think. That is weird though. Like when did you ever even meet her?
They hung out together like they would do double dates with like Joe Alwyn and like Sophie Turner and oh really Joe Jonas? I mean, she Taylor dated Joe Jonas though back in the day, so. OK, I guess they were really friends. I didn't know that. I thought that she just called her up because she was a famous woman going through a breakup and she was like. No. Hey, come hang out with me. Taylor literally has so many friends. Do you think you can ever have too many?
It's like, how could you really be close with that many people? I do think you can have too many friends. I do. Just seems like she's like, so close. long of a kiss it was. You know, pictures can be misleading, but interesting. What's going on? I know, I feel like public opinion, like the stories initially tried to villainize Sophie, but the whole break that made Joe seem like an ass, Yeah, yeah. I wasn't buying that. We have two other pregnancies I wanted to mention. Lot of babies. Babies, babies, babies. Halle Bailey, who recently played Ariel in Little Mermaid, is expecting a baby with rapper DDG. So we're happy for them.
I feel like there's actually not as much to say about. I know expecting is that. And then Sierra, as you reminded me, is also expecting the singer Sierra with Russell Wilson, who you taught me is the quarterback for the Broncos. They're having a baby. Used to be the Seahawks. Do you have any more breakups for us? Not really a breakup. I guess you could see this as sad, but I put for most enduring romance, I put Jimmy Carter and Rosalynn Carter. They were married for 77 years and Rosalynn recently passed away at age 96 years old. And yeah, I know 77. That's crazy cause with the years for like, you know, like how there's a gear for each anniversary gift that stops at 60. So they went 17 years past that, like that you?
Didn't know that so. Yeah, 'cause most people don't make it that far. Yeah, I know. My, I have a new boyfriend. He we were talking about this. He's like, gosh, I probably won't make it to 77 years married. It's like, well, you're 32, so mathematically probably not possible. But what is their secret? I know, So Guess got this. So I didn't know anything about them, but they both came from a small town called Plains, Georgia, where there were just
600 people. And Jimmy's mother, Lillian was a nurse who delivered babies and she actually delivered Rosalynn. Is it Rosalynn or Rosalynn? I think it's Rosalynn actually. She delivered her in 1927 and a few days later she brought her then three-year old son Jimmy over to meet the newborn baby. So they met. Yeah, Jimmy was three years old and Rosalynn was an infant, just days old. And they grew up in the same town. And while they were growing up, Roslyn was a close friend of
Jimmy's little sister. And then Fast forward to when they're older. She was 17 and he was 20 and they went out on their first date and they just fell in love immediately and they got married a year later. Oh my gosh. Isn't that so sweet? And yeah, they were married for 77 years. And Jimmy, he's been in Hospice for a year. I can't believe he's, to be honest, still alive.
Like, I I don't know if that's bad to say, but like, literally, usually when you hear someone's in Hospice, you think like they're about to. But he doesn't look well, he looks very old. But at her funeral in November, he was draped in a blanket that had her face. On it. Oh my gosh, I can imagine. I know what happens to everybody. But losing someone after that long together? Just. I know, I'm not sure just by the

You know, I did see some people debating like if that he should have even been brought there because like he was photographed. It was a kind of jarring how sick he looked. But it's sad, but it's a happy story because we all are going to die.
And like, it's the best case scenario to be married to someone for that long and to share that life together, all those memories together from when she was an infant to 96 years old. Like that's the best case scenario. They're just babies. Literally babies and say what an adventure like he being the president of the United States and I would love to cover them. I hope that we don't uncover like you know, who cheated. I know. I'm afraid of that.
I don't know much about him. I really don't. I know I just went on Wikipedia as we were talking and apparently he's the longest lived president in U.S. history. Why is he 90? He must be 99, right? They got married in New Jersey in August. And that wedding was attended by a lot of famous people that
we've talked about before. Taylor Swift, Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz were there. Cara Delavigne and Lana Del Rey. There were huge crowds of people just because of Taylor Swift, which is embarrassing of her fans. Yeah, that. I don't know. I don't know how that Jack would and Margaret would feel about that. But yeah, kind of takes away from their wedding. Yeah, but I'm happy for them. Good job. And then this this just got
married. OK, this is really old school, but I just thought it was interesting. Frankie Valli married Jackie Jacobs. Now he's really old. He's 89 after two decades of dating and his song Can't Take My Eyes Off. You play It in the background of their wedding. That's. Funny, that's just such a wedding song. Like, it's just, I know everybody plays. That, Yeah. It's so funny at his wedding when he's 89, he. Didn't sing it live. I know. I guess if he's 89, maybe he's. Maybe he couldn't.
A woman named Jackie Jacobs. It was his. Fourth marriage. OK. Well, congratulations. Yeah, good fourth marriage. That's crazy. But I guess they were dating for two decades so. But guess get this, my dad It might have been after they had already been married. My dad learned that my mom actually dated this guy for the

No, I'm curious. My high school friends, like, really have like, there have been times when we were a little bit less close when we were in college. But like, years later, I'm really realizing, like, wow, those are like my truest friends. Like they've been here all along, so.

Anka Far. It was his fourth marriage, and he's 93 years old. It was on his 93rd birthday. Yeah, that would not fly in our family if our grandpa got married. Oh, that's so true. Our moms. Would have been hiring a lawyer. Yeah, I know. That's such a good point. Like I feel like that has to be stressful for the film. Not that like you should be like after your parents inheritance and stuff, but it's a thought. I can understand being like, who is this woman? What's happening?
