Enjoy. OK, anyway, John Mayer, OK, we covered him and Katy Perry, I think one of the loves of his life in episode 37. And we did that with fluently forward Shannon McNamara. It was really fun episode, but I didn't get to finish reading everything and I felt kind of awkward because I had like way more notes. But we were already at an hour, so. I wanted to read what didn't get in the episode.
Let's hear it. OK, I think we we ended up talking about his Tim, talking about his body count, but we didn't really talk about much after they. Broke up. I know. I I skipped ahead to that too, because she was like, pick one thing and that was the thing I picked. Yeah. OK. So we're going to take it back to, you know, John Mayer and Katy Perry broke up and now she's with Orlando Bloom. But it doesn't end there, You know, There's more. There's more of the story. July 2016.
Katie and Orlando Bloom were out to dinner at Sunset Towers Hotel, Sunset Tower Hotel's Tower Bar in West Hollywood, and they awkwardly ran into John Mayer and apparently John and Katie spoke and Orlando didn't seem to mind. Yeah, so that's interesting. And then October 2016, both Katie and John attended Drake's birthday party. And later in life, John said that he was way too drunk at this party and he made a fool of himself. And that's the night that inspired him to quit drinking.
Oh, I didn't know that he quit drinking. Yeah. Which is interesting because Katie was there, you know, like, does that have something to do with it? Is that why he drink so much? Maybe you. I think if you are at a party your ex is there. It would be hard. Not to control yourself, I know, right? And apparently he put his arm out in front of Drake and said Remember Me and remember this? And then he had a six day hangover. Oh, that must have been a bad. That must have been a bad. Hangover.
Wasn't Taylor Swift also at that party? I don't know. I remember talking about that in the Taylor and John episode. Wow, what a party. Oh my. God. Place to be, I guess. April 2016. So I mentioned this, but John's album, The Search for Anything, came out and it seemed to me and to everybody, I think heavily inspired by Katy Perry and breakup. And there's just lyrics that I didn't really get to talk about in the episode, like in the song, I still feel like your
man, he says. I still keep your shampoo in the shower, OK, so you want to wash your hair? I love that song. I know. And then moving on and getting over. It's like moving on and getting over. I'm not the same. Yeah, moving. So long. Moving on and getting over somebody are two completely different things. Yeah, they are. Moving on is like, OK, you're living your life, but you still think about them? Yeah. Getting over it is like, you really don't care anymore. The song Emoji of a Wave.
Did I talk about this? No. OK. At a concert, he sometimes, you know, he does a little monologue before he gets into the song. And he said that the song was about he would hear his phone vibrating and it would be her and it would be an emoji of a wave that just means it's all too much right now. And he would send it back to say he's feeling it too. And he said it meant you're still in here and if you ever love someone, you'll always love that person.
So I guess they would just send that wave emoji to each other, just to say, like, I'm really feeling I'm missing you. I'm feeling this a lot right now, but there's like nothing to say. Wow, that's cute. I know, isn't that cute? That's cute. I don't know, very emotional. Could do that. I know, I think I would like first end it here. That would give me false hope, I think. The other person's still thinking about I know. She. Seemingly has a lot of relationships that never really end.
Just because it's. Over to. Over. Yep, Katie and Orlando split in 2017. They did end up getting back together, but they broke up for a time and then she like cameras track her every move for 96 hours being witnessed. Did I talk about? This no. And she then talked to James Corden during this 96 hours of being filmed. And he asked her to rank her 3X's in order of how good they are. In Russell Branch on mayor in Orlando Bloom. No, he didn't do Russell Brand. I don't know why she was
married. I know. But maybe he didn't want to go there. I don't know. So it was it was Diplo. I don't remember that. I know Diplo, Orlando Bloom and Dunn mayor. And it was so funny. She was freaking out in the way that she does. Like, no. And then. She did, though. She she ranked them and she she kind of used her fingers to do it and said that Diplo was third. She put Orlando Bloom 2nd and then John Mayer. First Oh my God. Even though she had most recently been with Orlando and
then got back. To get Oh my God, that's so awkward. She put John 1st and she said they're all amazing lovers and I would have sex with all of them after I get out of this place. Alright, I will have to stop the episode right there. Thank you so much for listening to the teaser. If you want to hear the full episode and many other bonus episodes, you can find them on Patreon.
