I'm so nervous about it. Don't I've been thinking about
it for days. Like I literally woke up at 5 a.m. and started writing more notes to prepare for this. Yeah. Mel's been stressed and guys because this is a couple that is controversial. It's Taylor Swift and John Mayer. Now, we hear this talked about all the time that they had dated and she was 19 and he was 32 and you know, some people It goes a haven't heard that. Yeah, that's true.
Some people have it. Like, I am not in the fandom and I have heard that but, like, some people like, about Charlie, my boyfriend doesn't know that's true. You know, that's true. And like she will forget. Sometimes she, he was America's bad boy. She was America's good, girl. It's kind of like too good to be true. It is almost too good to be true. It's kind of like a scale as old as time in a way. Yeah. Like they're both like really big Arc types. Yeah. Is there an image is yeah?
They both have just like such stereotypical images that you would see. But John Myers interesting because his music is not, his music is perceived as very like soft, you know? Yeah, almost kind of sissy Yeah, I would say so some people although you can, I mean, we're going to get into their music, but I feel like his music does feel like it does relate to his reputation. I like his music. By the way, don't think it is to see, but like, you know, yeah. Compared to metal or something.
Yeah, yeah, no, totally, yeah, it's not like a rock star by any means. He is a great musician. Hmm. Most, they Both are really talented musicians and I want to get this out a way, the way that I'm a fan of both of them and listened to both their music.
And I also want to get this out of the way that I have a feeling, there might be some Taylor Swift fans, listening, who are expecting this episode to be us like completely trashing John Mayer. Mmm, for two hours, and we're definitely going to be critical of John Mayer. Like 100%, but if you're going to be disappointed that it's not going to be totally black and white.
Mmm, don't listen or I'm expecting some people will definitely disagree at times but please just be respectful because I'm definitely afraid of Taylor Swift fans well Mouse. Done a lot of research and she's going to share what she found and I think based on what you've said to me, some of it might contradict with what people think. Yes, kind of. So, I mean all of it but I still don't feel like I totally understand what happened now.
I don't think we're supposed to know what happened but it's just not as clear as day as I think. A lot of people think the situation is interesting. I'm excited. Yeah. Like surprisingly, like I did false on down some rabbit holes where I think are a little bit more fair to John Mayer than people might want. So and you guys know I did say four episodes ago. I didn't think they'd actually ever dated. Yeah, I know a bunch of people messaged us. Like they did. Yeah.
Actually, they actually did. Have you heard the song? But like that's a thing. Yeah, it's just I'll get into that. So, okay, unfortunately, because I do worry that this episode might be four hours long. I didn't add Taylor Swift's background here, but we already did her. Beck. Yeah, exactly. So your mind racial take tune,
huh? Yeah. So if you want to pause this episode, if you haven't listened to that one yet it's episode 13. Perfect to talk about Miss Taylor, Alison Swift born, December 13th, Pennsylvania and singer-songwriter. But yeah, and then we have John Clayton, mayor born, October 16th, 1977 that makes him a Libra. Today. He's 45 years old who was born in Bridgeport Connecticut, his dad is Richard Mayer. Former High School principal and his mom is Margaret Hoffman a middle school English teacher
and guys, I got this. His dad was 50 years old when John was born. Mmm. And John's mom was 30. So they have a 20-year age difference and I think they got one. They it is common and I think they got together when his mom was like 25 and his dad was 45 and so this I think we can just open. This can of worms now can of worms now because Swift and John Mayer have a huge gap, which is, I think Super controversial. It's why this relationship is.
It's one of the biggest things that people criticize John Mayer about, because Taylor Swift was 19. And John Mayer was 32. Well, they say she was 19, but I'm gonna get to that. And it's just interesting to think that his parents had an even bigger age Gap and it makes me wonder like that. It's just be so normal to him because I love ya Ray. I will have to stop the episode right there. Thank you so much for listening
to the teaser.
