119. When Tom Holland Met Zendaya

Welcome to significant lovers, yes? Welcome back or welcome for the first time. Yes, we are your hosts. Usually Mel is here, but this week is just me, Kel. And me, Caitlin. We're sisters, but usually every week, every single episode has always had Mel until this one, which is so sad and I feel kind of weird about it. But Mel and I actually used to do the podcast without you, Caitlin, so now I'm experiencing it with just you. Maybe someday, just you and Mel

will. Do Oh my gosh wouldn't that be weird? It's like a series regular just missing from an episode randomly. I know it's crazy, I don't know if I'll ever let you guys do it without me but maybe, maybe something will happen. No, but we would appreciate all your thoughts and prayers cause Mel's mom is sick in the hospital right now and I feel bad that we're even doing the episode without her but she gave us. Permission.

Commission or told us we should. We always knew, like now that we have three people that this could happen someday.

So yeah. But anyway, oh, we didn't say our little description of. Oh yes. What this show's about? Yes. So in case this is your first time, this is significant lovers. We cover couples from history to today and we just talked about why they worked or why they didn't, what happened and also apply it to ourselves and what we can learn from their relationships. This is also our very first episode ever where we see each. Other I know it. Funny because we're doing it

well. OK, that's not true. We used to record in person and we do record in person occasionally, but this is the first time we see each other over video. Yeah, it's kind of like we're doing it via Zoom, kind of. Yeah, this is this is a crazy episode. Yes, Mel, we miss you. I know she will be missed, but fret not, we have a great episode in store for you, but I will be missing Mel's commentary. Yeah, me too. I'll try to think what Mel would say.

OK, so Kate, who are we talking about today? What couple? Yes. Well, like I mentioned, we do cover couples from the modern day and today that is one of the couples that we're covering. We're covering a couple that is still together currently and that is Tom Holland and Zendaya. I know, big couple, big heavy

hitter. It's nice to be talking about people that are still together, especially after the doozy that was Eric Clapton. I know how you, Boyd and George Harrison and how disappointing that all turned out. I know. So it is sweet to have nice love stories that you can listen to and be happy about. And I'll be depressed, yeah. I wanted us to cover Tom and Zendaya because I started shipping it. I never really did before. They've been together for a long. Yeah. How many years? 9:00-ish.

OK, yeah, I, I mean, I didn't know too much about them. I think back in the day I even thought they could have been a fake. I thought they were PR. Yeah. I will be 1 to say that I even did know a lot about their relationship because my friend MK Shout out to MK I love you. She was a big fan of them since

day one. She is love them as a couple and she would always send me like Instagram posts or Twitter tweets that's about them and like updates on them and be like, see, you know, because I she knew it. Was trying to prove. Yeah, because she knew I didn't really believe them. And, you know, I didn't until this year. So you know what, MK? Sorry. You can see. Yeah, you told me so. Because I was wrong.

OK, I did think they were PR. What made me start to ship them is that they were filmed just on somebody's phone, which is an invasion of privacy, I know, but somebody filmed them at Kakua Chocolate Shop in Salem, MA where I used to work for a couple months, and it was just so cool to see them there. I couldn't even believe. I was like, because the description didn't even say it was there anything, but I recognize it right away. I was like, wait a SEC, I know

that place. Oh my gosh, I used to work there. And then I started thinking, like, OK, that's such a random place that is so random. Like, why would they be there if it was a fake relationship? And then I saw a picture. I think Tom has like a brewery now. Yeah, it's no, he has a non alcoholic beer line. OK. I think his beer was at a brewery and went to it. And there's this picture that he posted of Zendaya. I'll do it in video but people won't be able to see.

She's like horizontal to the table. Like she has her head completely down, almost as if she's like laying down on the table with her with this little smile, closed mouth smile, putting her face like next to the beer. It was a tall beer, very tall. And this will sound narcissistic, but it reminded me of myself in a weird way. Like I've done that pose many times in photo. Yeah, I don't. Then it just teared me to them. Here we are. I know.

So anyway, I only mentioned all that because I wanted to cover them. But I've never even seen the Spider Man movies and I know well the ones that. He's in, Yeah. You saw one Andrew Garfield movie, right? I've seen the Tobey Maguire ones a long time ago, but yeah, I watched the Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone one to prepare for that episode, but I haven't seen the Tom Holland 1, so I felt like I'd be too much of A phony. Yeah, I knew that you loved them, so I said, Caitlin, you

have to cover. Yeah, I'm a huge Spider Man fan. If you don't know, I've seen all the movies, Toby, Andrew and Tom, all in theaters. Maybe not the Toby ones because I was like a child. Yeah, but I did see the. Andrew ones in theaters. So I was there. I was there day one when those movies are coming out.

I'm I can be hipster about that. And one of my favorite Spiderman movies is Spiderman Homecoming, which is Tom's first film of Spiderman, not counting Captain America Civil War today, which I don't really, and I just think Tom's a great spider man and Peter Parker. Oh, oh, you separate them, Yeah. Cuz some cuz people say like oh, Andrew Garfield's a great, great spider man but not a great Peter Parker. And Toby's a good Peter Parker but not a good spider man.

And then Tom, they say it's a good a good spider man and Peter Parker. It's kind of like, can you be the Black Swan and the white swan? Yeah, I guess. Or the Swan Queen. Is that what it she's? I don't know. Remember, in Black Swan he's that's like the whole challenge that her belly instructor is berating her about. Like you're good at being the Swan Queen, but you can't be the black. Swan yeah. So he, he is good at both, I'd say.

And that was part of the reason why I thought that him and Sunday were a bit PR, because all the past Spider Man's have

had a fling or relationship with their MJ or their Gwen Stacy. And so it's like, OK, it's like the same. Tobey McGuire did Tobey McGuire. Apparently did have like a fling or something with Kirsten Dunst so it just felt like OK. Are they just raking in views because they saw how much people loved Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone? So maybe kind of like, I don't know, is it real? I don't know. But now I. Believe it, I guess we'll find out.

Yeah, in this episode. Especially after doing all this research I'm like Oh my God cute. You'll see for yourself. I do want to give a shout out to

And love must been in the air because another past Hall of Flames couple got together, or rather got back together that same year in 2016. Do you know which couple I. Feel like you're going to be so many people I. Know. They got back together, Miley and Liam. Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding. Wow, nice. Yeah, well, not everybody, I guess, was in love because also that same year in 2016, one of our past Hall of Flame couples filed for divorce.

Do you know which couple? Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter. Oh yeah, they were never married. What am I saying? Are you 2 more guesses? Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding. No way. That was a. Long time ago, I know. It's like it's still recent. I know. I thought it was much later. Well, also for question #3 sadly that same year, 2016, two people this podcast is covered but in separate episodes passed away. Do you know who sad Johnny Cash?

Nope. Two people That might be embarrassing. I don't know when he died. I don't remember. I couldn't tell you. Elizabeth Taylor. No. Oh, shoot. Do I only have one more? Guest. I guess so. Oh, is it Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds? Correct. They passed the last second. I got it. I know. So that's what was going on in 2016 when this story we're going

to cover today happened. There's actually a lot of high profile celeb deaths in 2016. It was kind of insane when I was looking this up. Prince died, David Bowie died, Leonard Cohen died, Alan Brinkman died, a bunch of others as well. And they'll probably all have their own episode in the future. But yeah, so this was what was going on in 2016. Liam and Miley were getting back together. Brett and Angelina divorced. Debbie Browns and Carrie Fisher died. It was a big deal with that year.

I remember when Prince and David Bowie both. Died, I know. People were definitely talking about it a lot. Wow, 20. 16 such a year. So let's go back, Kate. What 3 words? If you only have 3 words, what do you use to describe? Tommens and Daya, yes. So I actually really struggled with this because there's so many words I could use. It's hard. And all the ones I used were all compliments. So I was just there was more compliments I could have used. But I'm going to say supportive,

affectionate, and cute. Wow, yeah, sounds like a good relationship. Because they're like cute together, but at the same time it's cute that they are together. Yes, it is. Yeah. Hopefully we don't find out later. Oh. My God, that would suck. It's a terrible thing. I hope not, and I hope. OK, so this is March 18th. Let's hope things are still going good by the time this episode comes out. I hope.

I don't expect there will be any issues, but let's just say please, please, I know or if you're listening to this like way in the future, we didn't know I'm sorry okay, okay, let's get into it. Who? Are they as? People.

Well, Thomas Stanley Holland was born on June 1st, 1996 in a town called Kingston upon Thames or Thames Thames, Kingston upon Thames or just Kingston, which is a part of the Greater London area in England. And his mother Nicola or Nikki is a photographer and his father Dominic is a comedian slash author. And Tom is one of four children with three younger brothers and he he's close to all his

brothers. I feel like they always come up and he's always supporting them and doing things with them. Poor brothers. Wow. I know. What a nice family. I know I don't really know anything about them but. It just sounds like. It I know they I bet they are. Tom was educated at Don Head, an all male Catholic preparatory school in Wimbledon. When he was seven, he was diagnosed with dyslexia and his parents sent him and his brothers to a private school so that Tom could get the necessary

attention. And at age 9, Tom began dancing at a hip hop class in Wimbledon, where he performed with the school group at the 2006 Richmond Dance Festival. And I bring this up because this dance festival essentially changed his life trajectory forever, and for the better. Wow, there's a lot of weirdly varying reports as to what

happened at this festival. Oddly enough, some articles say that Tom's dance teacher, Lynn Page was so impressed with this dancing at the festival that she put him up for an audition for the West Ends Billy Elliott the Musical. Apparently because she knew the choreographer and that Lynn Page, his choreographer or his dance teacher, actually worked with actor Jamie Bell for the movie of Billy Elliott, so she

has some involvement. But other reports say that at the festival, Tom was actually spotted by a member of the Royal Ballet School and they asked him to audition. But then also in an interview with Tom Holland in 2010, he made it seem like he and his family went to see Billy Elliott the Musical, which starred in 2005. And this is 2006. And they went to see it for his dad's birthday. And he turned to his mom and was like, would it be cool if I auditioned for this?

And that's how and why he auditioned. So I don't know what to believe. Was he scouted at this dance festival? Or did he just on a whim audition for the play? Is this what you're talking about? Last week when I said sometimes there's like so many versions of the story and like what is. The truth, you know, this is so minor, like about this dance by school, but I don't want to like pick a side and be wrong.

You know, I don't want to come and tell you like, oh, this is what bend and then that be false. I don't want to give you false information. Okay, I don't know what to believe. But either way, Tom did get an audition for Billy Elliott musical and he went for it and. Did he get the role? I'll get to that. So Tom's dad later said that at the time, he thought it was preposterous his son could be on the West End, he wrote in his book. Tom's dad Dominic's book eclipsed.

There was just no. His dad's name is Dominic. Yeah, I said that. Are you kidding me? Why? What? Well, OK, sorry this is going to be a tangent, but you you know about this. I love the podcast. The rest is history. So much. And the hosts of the show are Tom Holland, not this Tom Holland, another British man named Tom Holland. He's like double young Tom Holland's age. And the other host's name is Dominic. Oh, interesting. That's. Weird that is both Tom and Dominic.

I love Tom Holland and Caitlin bought me his book so if the other Tom Holland is listening, I'm your biggest fan, OK? He's joked before about how he gets tweeted at. Oh yeah, they think he's Tom. I don't. Know why how people would think that? Because his picture is clearly not actor Tom Holland. But he said every time there's a new movie, he gets like a wave of new falls. So funny. And then they're like, wait, when did I follow this random

man anyway? Well, anyway, Tom's dad, Dominic wrote that there was just no way, no chance. Ballet, tap singing, acting. Tom had never done any of those things before. He has never been cast in any of his school plays. So this was very new for him. He just started doing hip hop. This is like his first year doing hip hop. And all of a sudden they're like, be on the West End, you know?

That is, kind of. I know, and Stephen Daldry, the director of Billy Elliot the Musical, said, however, that Tom had great potential, was a very natural actor and could take direction, and all you needed to do was work on his dancing.

And thus, with that in mind, for the next two years, Tom trained in ballet, tap, acrobatics, and gymnastics, All of which then helped Tom land the supporting role of Michael, the protagonist's best friend, and he then made his debut performance on the West End in June 2008 at the age of 12.

However, after only a few short months as Michael, Tom was promoted to take the titular role of Billy Elliott, and that was the role he would play for the next two years, from 2008 to 2010. So impressive. And although Tom's career was on the rise, Tom did say that at the time he was quite unpopular in school and experienced constant bullying, in part because of his role as Billy. But also, I don't know how true that is.

It might be, but I saw in an interview Tom did in 2010 and it seems like he and the other kids in the show did school together, so I don't know if he was getting bullied by the other kids in the cast or what. I doubt it. Yeah. He was like I was being bullied while I was playing Billy and it's like you were doing school with the other cast mates during this time, So what's the truth? So he was no longer at his private. No, he left his private school so because he was like doing

West End full time. So they had to do like school for like actors, you know, like having tutors and stuff. Was there a period of time before he landed the role of Billy or something that he was still in his school? I. Don't know. Maybe, okay, maybe during those two years while he was training for it, maybe, maybe, I don't know. Probably I could see young boys making fun of him for doing ballet. I don't even know how they would know. About that, I don't know.

These British American kids do it too, but feel like the British kids always make fun of anybody in their grade who like does something great. I know they're, you know. Or is like, famous or something. Broadway loser. Yeah, or like you're the Prince. That doesn't point.

God no. In America, I feel like people are definitely stuck up. If you do something cool like we had when I was in middle school, we had an Australian Olympian, like she was trained for the Olympics, come to our school and yeah, she was pretty and stuff, but she came to our school and everyone was obsessed with her. Like people were falling around. She was walking in a crowd like you could not get to her. Interesting. I wonder if that is a real

cultural difference. No. Maybe if she went to a British school they'd be like loser. I don't know. You think you're so great? Yeah, you think about everyone. He has to train for the Olympics. Seems like that's that's always the attitude, you know? Well anyway, after his time in the West End, Tom went on to voice the role of show in the UK version of the Studio You of the Studio Ghibli film Arietti.

We call it The Secret Life of Arietti, but apparently elsewhere it's just Arietti. And he also landed a supporting role in the 2012 disaster movie At The Impossible, and then the 2013 dystopian film How I Live Now, then the 2015 miniseries Wolf Hall, and then the 2015 loose film adaptation of Moby Dick titled In the Heart of the Sea. So he was pretty busy after being in the West End. I didn't know there was a Wolf Hall miniseries. Yeah, there is. I want to watch it.

I haven't read the book, though. I want to. It's on my shelf. Cool, but I'm intrigued. Apparently it's good. That's why I've heard, anyway. I was aware of the impossible when it came out. I think I watched it over someone's shoulder on a bus or something. I have a vague memory of watching it muted over someone's shoulders. However, I was very much aware of the movie how I live now. I was obsessed with it at the time. At least the trailer. I used to watch the shit out of

the trailer. No joke, you. Remind me what that movie's about? Well, it's Sirisha Ronan, George McKay, Tom Holland, all these big heavy others. And so sheer. She's from America and she goes to Ireland. Correct me if I'm wrong. She goes to Ireland or maybe

it's England, don't remember. And then while she's there like this like nuclear kind of apocalypse or like World War Three starts happening and people get sent to work camps and they need to like find their way back to each other because they're like family, you know, So it, it was good. It wasn't like. To remember the. Movie's not bad or anything, but I love the trailer especially

for some reason. But that was my real introduction to Tom Holland as well as Sue Sharona and George McKay, but especially Tom. And most people probably wouldn't learn of Tom, though, until he landed his next role, his breakout role as the new Spider Man for Marvel Studios. Whoa, OK, that's big deal. Very Big Tom had reportedly beat out 1500 other teenagers for the role, which actually seems like

not that many. But some of the other actors he was up against were ASA Butterfield, if you know who that is, Charlie Rowe, Dylan Manette from 13 Reasons Why that would be interesting, and Timothy Chalmay. Oh my God, are. You kidding? I know Timothy Chalmay auditioned for Spider Man apparently. I could see. It I could too, but that would a whole different universe we would be in if Timothy got it. So this was 26. This was before calling me by. Yeah, this was before calling me

by a name. I mean, did you read that interview? I think it was the Rolling Stone one with Timothy Chalmay, where people think of him as being such a art house, like indie movie darling. But he said like, actually, I when I got into acting, I wanted to be in like Christopher Nolan type. Like he wanted to be in like manly action movies. It's kind of funny. And he he couldn't get into it because he wasn't like buff enough. He just didn't have the right like body type.

So that's how he ended up in movies like Call Me by Your Name and Beautiful Boy. And anyway, it's a tangent, but like, it's just interesting to think that I do think of them as contemporaries, I think. Yeah. Timmy and Tom Holland are similar in some ways, but Tom has like more of a wholesomeness, at least his persona. Definitely. And he does have like obviously action movies under his belt. He's not. They're not getting really the same parts as one another I would say anymore.

But Tom Holland isn't like AI, don't know, like Glenn Powell. No, Tom. Definitely wants to get parts like Timothy Chow and he kind of has been going after those. I mean, I was going to talk about this later, but he is going to be in Christopher Nolan Snacks movie, which I think is

quite big for him anyway. Anyway, yeah, so to get the role, Tom had to do a screen test first with Robert Downey Junior and then Chris Evans. And according to the casting agent, everyone was impressed by his acting abilities, but also his background in gymnastics. And it said that he sealed the deal by doing a flip and a back handspring during his audition.

And it very much also helps that he looked the part of teenage Peter Parker. Though Tom was 19 at the time, his trademark babyface made him appear much younger. So he could play a younger Peter Parker and then could play the role for much longer, which is what they wanted. And he also has brown eyes, a nice head of brown hair, a square jaw, kind of big ears, and small thin lips. It sounds like I'm insulting him, but I feel like most people

agree that he's attractive. I'm just seeing the fact of his appearance. He does have small, thin lips. I'm not going to. All British guys. Do. And there's nothing. Wrong. There's nothing wrong with that, He. Shouldn't get, I'm just. Stating facts. OK, I'm not insulting him. He's also been described as friendly, silly, charismatic, down to earth, energetic, bubbly, enthusiastic, caring and responsible. Wow, what a sweet guy I know

well. In June 2015, Tom signed A6 picture deal with Marvel Studios to play Spider Man. I know. I wonder how much for. It's intimidating, I know. Well, as of 2024, Tom has fulfilled that six picture contract deal. He has been in six movies, I think maybe more than that, maybe seven. Yeah, he's been in all six of those movies. But he must have signed another contract. I don't know when because he's also rumoured to be in at least 5 or 6 more. What? How can there possibly possibly

be these many, this many? That's crazy. Yeah, 'cause it's not just Spider Man and movies, he's also in like the Avenger team up movies, you know, so he'll be in those. So that counts as like a six movies. And three of the five or six more movies it seems like he's slated to be in are Spider Man movies that are going to come out in the future because they did 3 Spider Man movies already, but it seems like they're doing three more. So he's going to have a six film

franchise. I know it is a lot, but I'm excited. I didn't like the second one, but I did like the first. The first and 3rd. So I'm, I'm happy that he's getting more OK. Anyway, so in 2016, Tom made his first foray into the MCU as Spider Man in the movie Captain America Civil War. He also that same year starred in the movie The Lost City of Z alongside Hall of Flames member Robert Pattinson. Just shouting him out. Wasn't Sienna Miller in that? Was she? I don't remember if she was Hall

of Flames member also. Wait a SEC. So before he was in a Spider Man movie, he was in Captain America? Yeah. How does that? Work they like introduced him through that to like get people excited for his first movie. Interesting. OK I'm sure. Oh I'm sorry if anybody listening is a huge spider man fan or MCU. They did the same. Cinematic Universe, you must be so annoyed. They did this I. Know other things OK.

With Black Panther, his first movie in the MCU was also Civil War and that it was like get people excited for the first Black Panther movie also. So Tom's career was clearly on the rise. By early 2016, his first lead movie as Spider Man had been officially greenlit and the studio began announcing the names of the supporting cast who would star alongside him. And one of the first names announced, to everyone's surprise, was a Disney star known as Zendaya. Just Zendaya.

One name that's powerful. I know it works. Not that many. People get to just go by their first. Name I know Zendaya Marie Coleman was born on September 1st, 1996. Same years, Tom in Oakland, CA. She was born to parents Claire and Kazim, both of whom are teachers. They were married when they had her, but as she got older her parents separated and eventually later divorced in 2016. Sorry. Z See. Wow, I don't know, you're close like that.

Yep, and with Nigerian ancestry on her father's side and German Scottish ancestry on her mother's. Zendaya is half black. In case you didn't know. She also has brown eyes, a nice smile and usually long curly brown hair. She's been described by herself and others as introverted, shy, stylish, quirky, silly, thoughtful, kind, self aware, resilient and ambitious. More, more shy than Tom, Yeah. Definitely more shy and her and Tom though are both very silly, which I think is why they work,

which I'll get into more. But yeah, she she always talks in her interviews, but like just wanting to stay in and just hang with friends and like not really go out. Like, definitely much a homebody and definitely less prone to putting herself out there in a way. And he seems way more extroverted. Zendaya was raised with five older half siblings from her father's previous marriage, three sisters and two brothers.

Zendaya was the only child from her parents union, but she's close with all of her siblings, as well as her nieces and nephews. And from a young age, Zendaya had a passion for acting in dance, in part because her mother worked during the summers at the nearby California Shakespeare Theatre. And so as a kid, Zendaya took up hip hop and who hula and performed in school plays in

local theater productions. Hula. Zendaya attended Oakland School for the Arts and studied at the Cow Shakes Conservatory program and at the American Conservatory Theatre. And when Zendaya was in the 7th grade, she and her family moved to Los Angeles so she could pursue her dream of acting. Wow. Take a drink. Feel like that happens a lot. Oh yeah. Take a drink. I'm drinking water. I'm actually for once not having an alcoholic beverage. Now what are you drinking?

I have two drinks going, I have a Salter, like a regular Salter. And one of those Ollie Pop things was inspired by Mel. Nice, I like those. I haven't tried all the flavors though. So-called healthy soda. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah. Well, at first, Zendaya landed mostly modeling and singing roles. She was in magazine spreads, commercials and a music video for Kidz Bop, specifically their cover of Hot and Cold by Katy Perry.

Oh. My. God, it's still on YouTube, so if you want to check it out, you can. I should. She's so young, it's crazy. It wasn't until November of 2009, Wednesday it was 13 years old that she landed her first acting role in the Disney Channel show Shake It Up. She played the character of Rocky Blue, the Co lead of the show for three seasons from 2010 to 2013. Kel, do you remember Shake It Up? Like was it past your time or did you watch some of it?

It's definitely past my time. I don't think I ever. Watched it. I watched it, but I don't what year was it? 2010 to 2013? Yeah, I mean. 2013 I graduated high school. 2013. I graduated high school so I was not watching. Shake it Up, I think I watched at least maybe the first season. I don't remember the rest of the show that well, but I heard it. Yeah, I do remember Zendaya. I remember her, and because you are my younger sister, I always heard about things. Yeah, because of you. Jake and.

Probably vice versa. Well, during her time on the show, Zendaya also released an album under the Disney Label and Hollywood Records, as well as completed as well as competed on Dancing with the Stars. She came in second place. Spoiler alert. Wow. And she also acted in two Disney Channel Original movies, Frenemies and Zapped. I've seen both I think. That's so interesting. I think she did music. I know because they always tried to get, you know, their people

to sing. Her Co star Bella Thorne also was like, they also made a singer. It wasn't really. I think Zinda had definitely abandoned it. I don't think she wanted to be a singer really. She's not putting out music today, you know? Yeah. That'd be so great. Would be. Was Bella Thorne the main character or was she also? No, they're Co leads. OK, Yeah. Well, Sunday was a huge talent for Disney.

And so after Shake It Up ended in 2013, the following year Sunday was cast as the lead in her own show called KC Undercover. And she would be on that show for three seasons from 2015 to 2018. And this was definitely past my time. I was in high school at this time. I did not watch KC Undercover. I'm so really, I think you did. I know nothing about KC Undercover. I think you did secretly. I didn't. I swear to God I did not. I know nothing, OK.

OK. OK, but Speaking of 2015, in February of that year, 19 year old Zendaya attended the 87th annual Academy Awards and there she wore a white silk off the shoulder. Vivian Westwood. Just saying that. And she also wore her hair in long dreads down her back. Now, if you weren't online in 2015, yeah, then you may not know where I'm going with this. But if you were, then you know that this was pop culture history, OK? This was this was something.

This was news, OK. The Monday night after the Oscars, Giuliana Rancic Rankic. Giuliana Rankic, who was then an e-news anchor and a Fashion Police Co host, said while on Fashion Police that Zendaya looked like she smells like

Patchouli oil and weed. And a couple days later, Zendaya responded to Juliana's statement with a tweet slash Instagram post saying there's already harsh criticism of African American hair in society without the help of ignorant people who choose to judge others based on the curl of their hair. My wearing my hair and locks on an Oscar red carpet was to showcase them in a positive light, to remind people of color

that our hair is good enough. To me, locks are symbol of strength and beauty, almost like a lions Maine. And she went on to say a bit more. But I'll just read that little expert. And many people came out in support of Zendaya, including Whoopi Goldberg, who just recently talked about Kerry Washington, Ava Duvernay, Chloë Grace Moretz, Khloe Kardashian

and many more. And although Giuliana's comment was horrible and probably not great for Zendaya to hear, it's sad to say, but it kind of had a really positive impact for Zendaya. It kind of launched her into stardom. Like following the events of the Oscars, Fog released an article calling her a style star and saying they would keep an eye on her going forward. And she's just kind of like a low level Disney star at this point. Like most people.

Under the age of 12. Don't know who she is and Mattel actually. I mean over the age. Yeah, people over the age of 12 don't know who she is. Yeah, I meant to say that. And Mattel even made a Barbie inspired by her Oscar look. And she also was put in Taylor Swift's Bad Blood music video. I don't even think Taylor and today even she was on each other. She was on. So many magazine covers.

So this is around the time and like the couple years after this I saw just out myself and say I used to not like Zendaya because I felt like she was really overrated and was like way more famous than she deserved. Like she was really in like the adults celebrity worlds for some reason. And I just couldn't understand it and was like taken very seriously and also seen as like a style icon and stuff. But I feel really bad that that comment happened.

But I did feel like it was just because not just because what, like, a big reason was because of the attention that story got. And then. I don't know. Yeah. So I would say like, she's, she's disproportionately famous. Like she's. I don't get why she's everywhere because I felt like she was. But I have changed my mind because now I think she has acted sufficiently in a lot of more challenging roles besides,

like, Disney shows. And I think she's a good actress and I think she deserves her success. So I take it back. But around this time, I was kind of mystified. Like I don't get why this girl is so famous. Yeah, I think at least for yeah, like 2015 when she really blew up and became like, not really a household name, but it seems like she was only famous because of what happened, which sucks, but it's also like I. Mean she was on Disney. Channel.

Yeah, she was on Disney Channel, but it's like, what else are you doing besides Disney Channel, you know? But anyway, I'd also be remiss in saying that Sunday's Oscar look and the events following it actually LED to the creation of the Crown Act. This is a fact. And the Crown Act is a law that protects people from discrimination based on their hair texture or style. And this law has actually been enacted in 22 states.

And the people who, you know, created the CROWN Act and pushed it into legislation, they say that their inspiration actually came from Sunday's look. And then what happened about, like, discrimination. So she actually paved the way for important change. So I'm glad. It sucks that it happened, but you know what? It probably needed to happen so change could happen. Yeah, yeah, probably because she responded.

It's yeah. I feel like if she didn't it probably might have just been forgotten comment but she called it out and was like hey what? That's not OK to say about somebody. What the heck? Anyway, about a year later, in March 2016, Zendaya was cast as the character of Michelle or MJ in the film Spider Man Homecoming alongside Tom Holland. It'd be her. Her name was Mary Jane. No. So normally she's called Mary Jane, but in this version they call her Michelle. What? I don't know.

I think they did that because they wanted us to not know who she was playing. So she was listed as playing a character named Michelle and then to, like, keep it under wraps. But then at the end of the movie, spoiler alert, she goes like, oh, people call me MJ. So then it was like, oh, my God. So she is MJ, you know. Yeah. Interesting. And apparently one of the reasons she got the role was because she wore no makeup during her screen tests, which

carried over into the film. In the first film, at least, she doesn't really appear to wear makeup. And added her own embellishments to the character. Zendaya is so beautiful, just naturally like the fact that she doesn't even need any makeup. Impressive. Well, in 2016 for The Hollywood Reporter, Tom and Zendaya spoke about their first meeting during a screen test for the movie. And I'll let them tell the story as well as talk about each other. My first meeting was Zendaya.

Was very embarrassing actually for me. I don't remember this but he says that there was some type of awkward hug shake thing. It's. Just one of those moments where it just wasn't my smoothest. It was kind. Of like a oh, hey, woo, you know, it was one of those. They look so young. I'm so young. How old are they here? So he's about 20 and she's the same. So I think they're about 20 each. Yeah, 20. I don't know why they seem a lot younger. He especially.

Yeah, well, he seemed like 50 in another story, I think in the same article actually, but not on video, Zendaya talked about how she was worried she wouldn't get the part because when she walked in she realized that she was much taller than Tom. I don't know if she's also wearing heels or what, but in real life she is 510 and he is 5/8.

And Tom did say that when he was casting or when he was helping them cast for, like, his partners in Spider Man, all the women that he read with were taller than him. I don't know if it's because it's harder to find actresses that are shorter. I don't know. I think that I don't know what that makes sense. But I think they were, I guess, looking for a taller woman. I don't know. Interesting. Yeah. And sometimes in the MCU, they try to fake the shorter men being taller.

Like Robert Downey Junior wears like, heels when he shoots, or like he stands with boxes. But not with Tom. They lean into him being short. So cute. Yeah. Reminds me of Tom Cruise. And. Nicole Kidman because she was also taller and was worried that would be a problem for their movie and. I know I didn't include this, but they were in an interview once where the interviewer brought up their height difference kind of in a positive way, being like, oh, representation, you know, and

Tom was like, I know. And Tom was like, it's not that big of a height difference. It's only like 2 inches taller than me. Like it's not that crazy. It's like I'm. Not people are so weird about it. I know in like heterosexual relationships. I don't know why, but also I've never been taller than. A guy that. Would be hard, so I've never I I guess I just don't know what it. Is, yeah. Yeah, I'm only 5, two so. Mm hmm. I'm Kate is only 411. I know I'm. 411 Do people know that?

Probably not. Hey, I'm so shocked. Well, anyway, it's 2016 and filming begins in May and June of that year. The cast appears to hang out together while not on set. Apparently they would all have sleepovers together, watch movies, go to the aquarium and Waffle House and have picnics and they would sing and dance together and have pool parties. And on July 10th, 2016, Tom posted a picture to Instagram of Himmens and Daya, as well as someone else, but I don't know who in a pool together.

So this must have been at one of those aforementioned pool parties. And this is the first photo that we have of Tommens and Daya together. Let me see if I know who this other person. Is I don't know if you'd be able to tell. I don't know who this person is. Yeah, so 2016, it's like a retro filter on. Yeah, there's like a Polaroid

border. I don't know if it was actually taking on a Polaroid or if they edit it to look like it, but they're making funny faces and he's doing a peace sign and it's cute. Very summer. Yes, and July 23rd, a couple weeks later, the Spider Man Homecoming cast members attended the San Diego Comic Con.

And while there's Zendaya called Tom the Bomb during one of the interviews and for the rest of the summer, Tom and Zendaya were spotted out and about LA and Atlanta together alongside Tom's personal assistant, Has and Zendaya's friend Deja Has comes up a lot because they'll just be hanging out and his assistant is just there. I've mentioned those. Interesting. In the George and Patty Boyd episode, yeah, just like how they would have their man, his

manager there. They just have his assistant there sometimes. Keeps uncomfortable. I don't know. Yeah, and hard to understand being just a regular. Person I know well on October 29th, Tommens and Daya were spotted looking cute and comfortable at a restaurant together. If you want to look at it, it's very cute. It looks so normal. Oh my gosh. This restaurant looks just like any family restaurant in your

town. Literally the table like a mess with tin foil and plastic cups and Snapple bottle. It looks so yeah, they look really like regular college kids or something. Literally. He's wearing a hoodie. I think she's showing him something on her phone. I think so. She's smiling, He's trying to concentrate. You probably can't hear it that well. Probably like a busy restaurant. Yeah, so cute. They're hanging out sometimes with the cast, but sometimes

just together. And November 23rd, Tommens and Daya were spotted coming out of her apartment building and traveling together in the same car to Bang Bang Tattoo Studio in New York. And while there, we later learned that Tom got a spider tattoo on the bottom of his foot, so she was there while he got it. The bottom of his foot, yeah. I know that would tickle. That's an unusual place to hurt, I feel. Tickle, that would be easy for it to, like, not rub off, but,

you know, like, fade, too. Yeah. And end of November, Tom went to Zendaya's house with her family for Thanksgiving. That's a big deal. I know. Well, that's really serious. I know he's a Brit, but, like, he could just have the day off. Yeah. Wait. Why? Oh, OK. Yeah, I guess because he didn't have anywhere to go. For like, it's not a big deal to him. No, but. To be with her.

Family, you know, and for the rest of the years, Zendaya and Tom appear to hang out a lot together, mostly in New York and in Zendaya's apartment because she likes to just hang out in her apartment. So we just see a lot of him coming and going. And it's believed that one time during this time, they saw a Dear Evan Hansen together on Broadway, according to a cast member.

And Zendaya also around this time, began filming The Greatest Show Man. So she spotted out and about with that cast alongside Tom. So he would be hanging out with the Greatest Showman cast even though like he wasn't in the movie. And in 2017 on January 29th, Tom was stopped to take a picture with a fan. And Tom apparently said, we don't know how credible this is,

but I don't know. He apparently said that he was in New York visiting his girlfriend and a few days earlier to that he had like come to in New York and he was with Zendaya at her cover girl photo shoot. And why would you just be like at your acquaintance or friend's photo shoot? You know, you could do other things with your time, you know? True, so he doesn't live in new. York No, that's kind of tough, I know. He always just, he's just sleeping over.

Yeah, but technically it's kind of long distance. Yeah, which I'll get to actually, because January 31st, Tom was photographed leaving Zendaya's apartment building with his luggage. And Tom then tweets A paparazzi photo of himself exiting her building, as well as a video of himself and his assistant has at the airport. And that same day has tweeted a thank you to Zendaya for putting them up, he and Tom for the weekend.

And Tom also then posted another paparazzi photo of himself leaving Zendaya's apartment and made it his profile picture on Twitter. So it seems like while he's in New York, he's living at Zendaya's apartment, you know? He made the paparazzi picture his. Profile. Yeah, sure. That's so weird. It was a good photo of him. I will give him that. Man, I always wish I got paparazzi pictures, you know, when I'm wearing a good outfit. I know that has happened to you before.

Technically like an Instagram person was like cute alpha. Paparazzi it was, it was posed. But yes, I was on the Williamsburg St. style. So cool. I didn't even live in New York at the time. I was literally just a tourist, so I was so honored. I don't live in New York anymore either, but anyway. So OK, it seems like they're dating. There's all these signs, but what are they saying at the time? They're saying nothing. Have they been asked if they're dating?

No, because they haven't really been doing press or anything. So they're they haven't really been asked about it, at least not yet. And March 2017 while Tom was in LA, Zendaya posted a video to Snapchat with the caption your sick girlfriend really loves you and then immediately deleted it. And I for one, when I had Snapchat, I would always make the mistake of posting things to my story when I didn't mean to. And so maybe maybe this is a case of that.

Seems like I think. That this doesn't happen more often for celebrities. Maybe that's why they don't use Snapchat that often, I don't know. Where people don't have access to their Snapchat, I don't know. Must have been for him. Oh my, I know. What? Seems like that's cute. I know. And she deleted it right away. Yeah, and a couple days later, on March 19th, Tommens and Daya were spotted out to dinner together in LA, just the two of

them. And then later that month, Tom was spotted on the KC Undercover set all day. So while this is happening, she's still on KC Undercover, at least for another year. And April 2nd, 2017 was when Tommens and Daya filmed their famous lip sync battle together. Tom performed Singing in the Rain as well as Rihanna's umbrella and Sindea lip sank to 24 Karat Magic by Bruno Mars.

And after the performance, there was an interesting moment where Chrissy Teigen came down from ceiling dressed as Spider Man and she said she wanted to live out like her biggest fantasy. You know, like the Spider Man kiss. And in the clip I'm going to show you, it looks like Sindea looks nervous and kind of jealous about it. But you be the judge. Oh my God. I just wanted to see see if it's possible that I live out one of my biggest fantasies. Oh, you want that super fantasy?

Oh, OK. I want to watch that again. Is Tom there? Yeah. Tom's there. He's the one with like the Bob cut and like wearing like almost a maid's looking outfit for the Rihanna performance. Well, he's like a Bob wig, but she like looks nervous about it until I'm John Legend comes out. She looks not happy. She does she. Turns her head really quickly and has like a serious serious expression on her. I'm watching it again. Yes. It's so funny seeing her react.

You know, like, why'd she react that way? Clearly, she was nervous. Chrissy Teigen was trying to kiss. Him. No, that's the only actually I can think of. She's like, wait, what? No, what the fuck bitch? No, good on whoever caught that. I don't know if it was you. It wasn't me, no, somebody else. Plenty of people have caught that. But it was just crazy for me to see because I, I hadn't seen that before.

Well, then a month later, on May 5th, during the press tour in Brazil, an interviewer asked Tom if he had found his Liz Allen. And for reference, Liz Allen is the name of Peter Parker's love interest in Spider Man Homecoming. It's not MJ, It's this other girl. Name's Liz. And Tom responded to the question by saying, have I found my own Liz Allen? Yeah, I guess so. Kind of. I may have. Yeah, maybe. Sort of. What so it seems like lame he.

Might have what maybe they haven't like DTRD or something or he doesn't want to like spill the beans. I don't know, because also I was going to include this, but it was wicked long. Zendaya did an interview with a radio show, and she just talked about how she really wants to keep her personal life private, as most celebrities do, and not really talk about it. So maybe he's just kind of doing

the same thing. Yeah. And a couple days later, May 14th, Tom and Zendaya spend Mother's Day together in Oakland, CA, at Zendaya's grandmother's house. Wow. I know that's serious. That's something serious because he has his own mother. He could fly back to England to be with his mom, you know? They might do it on a different day. Maybe, but still, why would you go with your potential friend to her grandmother's house for

mother's? Day just to your Co star and I I feel like PR relationships, if they happen or the only times I have heard of them happening, it's kind of like they just go to a event with the other person or maybe they go out to like a restaurant or something but I don't think you would do things like. That no. And it'd probably be more like photographed or something. Like they'd post about it if they did. Yeah. I don't know how people know that they did that, but they did.

And some, but it wasn't really like that public. June 5th, an article was published by Interview magazine in which Zendaya interviewed Tom. Most of it isn't that interesting. They didn't really reveal much except for the short exchange, which I thought was cute. Zendaya said we never had this in depth of a conversation when we were on set. And Tom said ever. And she says our conversations are and then she kind of trails off and Tom finishes childish.

And I thought that was kind of cute. It just kind of encapsulates them. I feel like they're very silly. Mm hmm. And June 15th while in London, there's a lot of cute photos that are taken of them at the Spider Man homecoming photo call, whatever that is, that kept coming up. I'm like, what is this photo call? It's kind of like a faux red carpet event. They're not there for her premiere or anything. And you can look at the photos I sent, just some cute photos of

them. She's very stylish, but she's wearing a really ugly outfit in these pictures. I'm just going to say it's like a black. It's a yellow and black I think. It's kind of cute. Shirt with a white belt and then like a blue Tutu underneath. I don't think it looks nice. And white heels. Yeah, I think it's cute. It's like quirky. I get it. You don't get it 'cause you're not. Fine, maybe this was very 2017, I don't know. It's like very 80s. He's just wearing a. 20 tens doing yeah.

He was just wearing a black polo and jeans, nothing fancy. Yeah, but you should describe their. OK, well, he's doing like the Will Smith foes where I think Will Smith did it with Jada, where he's like has the hands out and it's like, look at her, you know, And then he's looking at her a lot and she's smiling and he's smiling and they're. Oh yeah, they're. Just close together. Like when she's just smiling at the crowd, he seems to be just watching her. Yeah, very cute.

Cute. As they do these later folk photo calls, their outfits are way better. I don't know what like he's wearing more of a suit and she's wearing more of like a gown type of thing. So they're doing it very casually for this homecoming. I kind of like that outfit. It's so like, bold and quirky, like you would never see her in something like that today. Yeah. People just dress in like neutrals these days. Yeah, I guess so. Well, anyway, someday and Tom continue hanging out a lot.

They attend a screening of Spider Man together wearing matching hoodies. They're like matching Spider Man hoodies. It's not like they go to like a premiere or anything. They just go to a random theater and see it together. And Tom also does a spin class with Zendaya's mom. Zendaya didn't do it with them, she was just there, like watching and clapping them on. I wonder why she didn't do it. She didn't want to. She doesn't like to do that sort of thing, I guess.

Yeah. In July, people.com reported that Tom and Zendaya were dating. But a month later, in August, in a Variety interview, Zendaya denied the rumor. She said we are friends. Then the interviewer asked so there's no romance, and she responded very firmly. Apparently no. He's a great dude. He's literally one of my best friends. What? This past how many months we've been had to do press tours together? This past how many months we've

had to do press tours together? There's very few people that understand what that's like at 20 years old. I don't like that. I know. Why would she say that? I don't know. Her boyfriend, now I'm doubting. You're very much like while they're dating, I just. Don't like that? Being like, no, we're just friends if they actually. They have an agreement, yeah, maybe they had a plan, but I would be upset if my boyfriend said we're just friends.

I will tell you in advance because we know that they are official and they eventually become official or whatever. But it does seem like from what Tom and and Dave spoken about during this time, even though she's saying like, yeah, we're just friends, they actually were dating. OK. So she's just saying that even though they actually were and on September 1st, 1st and day is 21st birthday. Tom posted pics of the two of them together with the caption, happy birthday mate, miss you

and I'll have a drink for you. And she responded, ha ha ha. Thanks. Shoddy heart emoji. Shoddy. Yeah. And even still, according to them, they both continue to fan the rumors. They are consistently spot together, mostly one-on-one in New York, LA and London by either fans or paparazzi. And going through the timeline, it felt as if pretty much every day they were together, like constantly. Even on like the small side of the spectrum. They were released together

multiple times a month. It was it was constant. Like I said. They also spend Thanksgiving together again with Zen's family and this is part of the family and. There's really nothing much of. Note to say for the rest of 2017 and most of 2018 until May 8th when Tom posted a photo of Zendaya at the Met Gala to his Instagram. Like his Instagram, not just his Instagram story, the Instagram. And this is when she was dressed as Joan of Arc, and his caption for the photo was all.

All hail the Queen killing it, mate. Mate. Yeah, still has to add that. To some casual, you know, like who who? Would do that. Who would post? I know just their coworkers, their Instagram. Yeah, yeah. Or just good friends. Yeah, I don't think he was doing that for his other friends. And the next month in June, the 2nd Spider Man movie, Far From

Home began filming. And I only really mention it because other than spending a lot of time together on set, the second movie was when, spoiler alert, their characters Michelle, MJ and Peter Parker get together. So not only were they dating in real life, but their characters were too on screen. Wow, what an experience. I know. Must have been so exciting. It must have been. And for this.

One, I'll kind of get into this. Later, but they would be like all over Europe for this because it's far from home. It takes, it's like a goodness Spider Man takes Europe type thing. So they're in. Italy Romantic, and they're in Paris and they're in the Netherlands. They're all amazing. Like who gets to have? Experiences like that I know. Wow. And on September 1st, this is 2018, remember? Again, for Zendaya's birthday, Tom posted a photo to Instagram of him and Zendaya walking on

the street. Maybe it's a Pat photo, I don't know. And they're walking by a statue of Spider Man and his caption is me, myself and the birthday girl. Happy birthday mate. Keep killing it and paving the way for the rest of us. Heart emoji. Heart emoji. But still that stupid mate I know in there. That's. Cute, I know. And later that month, Tom's family. Including his grandparents came to visit him on the set of Spider Man far from home in Italy.

And Zendaya hung out with them while they were there. And they even all went on a group trip to an island near Venice and say Zendaya went with them. Wow. And he could. Yeah. So like, why just Zendaya? Like I don't think the rest of the cast or his other friends from the cast went just Zendaya. And November 9th, 2018, Tom commissioned supposedly a spray paint on canvas portraits of Zendaya's dogs. So the person who like did them said they were like what people see as Zendaya's dogs.

And they're like, oh, commissioned by a Tom. OK, but those look like Zendaya's dogs and also commissioned by a Tom. Huh? Is it him? That's a sweet gift, I know. And. Around this time. So filming for Far From Home ended. Filming started for Zendaya's show Euphoria, and Tom was reportedly there on set multiple times while she filmed. And then in 2018 again, Tom spent another Thanksgiving with Zendaya's family. So he's there year after year. Yeah. He's really seeing the family.

Wow. That's sweet. And I don't know. When this was tweeted. But someone who worked on the movie The Devil All the Time with Tom Holland, around March 2019, they said that during one particular shoot day, they heard Tom say, guess what, you guys? I get to see my girlfriend this weekend. And so this happened around early 2019 and in 2019. Guess what you guys? And that's another movie. With Robert Pattinson, he just keeps going up. It's gonna come up again later and again in 2019.

They're spotted out together a lot too many times to list them all, but just be aware that they are. They also show support for each other via Instagram stories mostly where like on their story, they'd be like, Tom's gonna be in this movie or, and or someday we'll be like Tom's in this or he's doing this and Tom will be like someday is doing this. So they're also doing that. So let's be aware. Very supportive Jinx.

May 9th Tom posted a photo of himself to Instagram posing with Zendaya and their Spiderman cast mate Jacob at Disney. And in the photo Tom tags Zendaya like on his groin. You know when you have to, like, put tags? Yeah. And Zendaya commented. I'm assuming because you don't know how to work Instagram. That's the reasoning behind my name placement. Laugh emoji. Laugh emoji.

Laugh emoji. And then Tom repositioned the tag and then added it, the caption to say thanks, Zendaya, for making me aware of my obvious blunder. Laughing emoji. What? He should have kept it. It wouldn't be. Funny. Don't be a coward, just own it. I know, that is so funny. I wish. He. I. OK. Do you think he did it on purpose or actually wasn't it? I don't know, maybe he thought it was. Funny and like did it on purpose but then forgot and then posted it anyway.

You know, like oh, would it be funny if I did this and showed somebody and then, I don't know, forgot? In 2021, someone tweeted that apparently during 2019, a friend of theirs, again, this is all supposedly. We don't know if this is real. A friend of theirs who was a songwriter was commissioned to write a song by Tom for Zendaya's birthday. That's sweet. I know he likes to Commission before. We don't know how one-of-a-kind gift yeah, real this is, but if

it's true, that would. Be very cute and sorry. When is her birthday? September 1st. It's coming up actually, because. Again, Tom made an insta post for Zendaya's birthday with a photo of the two of them and the caption is the birthday girl. Hope you're having an amazing day. And then Zendaya commented on his post saying thanks. Weirdo fist bump emoji, Blue heart, 2 cats I know well.

Actually. I think things are kind of going wrong for them because I didn't mention this, but from 20 June 2019 onward, there was actually no sightings of Tom and Zendaya together, which is noticeable because years previously, like I said, they were always together, like every single day. So this is from June to. September. They haven't been seen. And in November 2019, a waitress actually recorded herself talking to Zendaya's grandmother. I don't know how we know this is

the grandmother. Like, Oh my gosh, it's so shady. I know. I don't know how you would recognize. Zendaya's grandmother, I certainly wouldn't. But the grandmother, if we can believe that is her, is heard saying that Zendaya is dating her Euphoria Cat Co star Jacob Allordy and that she had been with Tom for a long time, but not anymore. No way. But OK, this is just we're taking the word of some waitress.

Yeah, well, it seems. Legit because from then on Zendaya was spotted out and about with Jacob and in February 2020 they were spotted kissing on the streets of New York City. So she was dating Jacob. Did she dump Tom for him? I don't know. I don't know. We'll, we'll. Get into that, but happened. I don't know what happened, but it seems like during the summer of 2019, I don't know, something happened and maybe they broke up and then she started seeing Jacob.

Wow. Did Jacob date somebody else from the show? Euphoria maybe I don't. Watch Euphoria. So I'm not really up up in the what's going on? I don't either, but I thought he dated somebody. Else as well. Or maybe I just somehow knew about him and Zendaya. I don't know. Maybe I was aware Zendaya and. Jacob dated, but I didn't know what the timeline was and I didn't know that it seemed like her and Tom were already together before then. I thought they were kind of

after that type of thing. I guess not. Man, that's interesting. I thought that. This whole relationship was just going to be like, cute, cute, cute, cute, cute, cute. So it's, I mean, it's actually kind of relatable and refreshing to hear that there was some kind of a break of some kind. Yeah. Well, it did seem like they were. Still in talks because around this time it's dramatic.

Tom was shooting the movie Uncharted and one of his Co stars Tati Gabrielle, who's actually also friends with Zendaya. She said in an interview about that time while they were shooting that Tom and Zendaya were still in communication, at least through text. What she said exactly was Tom was texting her while filming, so there was some communication so dramatic, but they. Weren't seeing one another it seemed like at.

Least. And in August 2020, Zendaya liked one of Tom's insta posts for the first time since January 2020. OK, you didn't mention that. That's very. Talented. I know, isn't it? So if you. She stopped liking Wait, wait, you said 2020? Yeah. So now I'm in 20. 20 So it was November. 20/19 with the waitress thing, Yeah, but then February 21/20/20 was when she was kissing Jacob. OK. And then when did? She like his post August so between. January and August, she wasn't liking his photos.

She was trying to get distance. This is crazy and. Actually. It's over there, I know. And Tom? Actually. Stopped liking her photos in April 2020, but then after she liked his photo he started liking her photos. Oh my gosh, it's so relatable. It's crazy and I didn't mention this. Before, but fans also noticed that the last time Zendaya liked any of Tom's siblings posts were June and July of 2019, so people think that may have been when they maybe broke up. Oh my God.

Especially since that was the last time they were. Spotted together. Was June and July so it makes sense. It's crazy that something as frivolous. Seeming as liking pictures can tell you so much. You really can't. It really can. It really can't 'cause if you do break up with someone. You're like, I'm not gonna interact with them at all. I'm not gonna like their photos. But then when you start kind of reconciling, you're like, that's a, that's a move. That's a big move.

Yes, that is a move, yeah. And it doesn't necessarily. Mean. Always like, oh, I'm still interested in that. We're getting back together. It just means maybe like we're cool now, whatever. Well then. In October, so about two months after they started liking each other's posts again, the filming began for the third Spider Man film. So now they're back on set. And in November, so a month into filming, then Day and Tom were spotted for the first time together in over a year. That's great.

I mean, maybe they have. Seen each other, but that's really intense to go a whole year without seeing I know possibly the love. Of your life. This time, though, they. Weren't one-on-one. They were with a group, which is probably a way of easing into it. But again, this is like, I would kind of hate that I know, but. This is the first time. That they're like really reconnecting. I wouldn't want to reconnect with someone in front of other.

People, you know, people would probably be talking about it. They'd be like in. A corner like Oh my God look at heck, I would feel like I can't react. Authentically, you know, I know. What did you whisper? I whispered like Oh my God, look at. Tom and Santeo, like, yeah, yeah, like, look at them. I don't know. Yeah, people would be awkward, too. I feel like.

I don't know. But also later that month, the end of November, Tom spent Thanksgiving again with the day and her family, so things seem good. So he didn't spend Thanksgiving with them in 2019. No, Tom, because they were on the. Oh, now that it's the. Pandemic he does, yes.

And. That's even more important because it's the pandemic yes so things still went pretty good they seem better are they back to dating I don't know are they just friends Well in 2021 February 15th, Tom called Zendaya one of his best friends in an interview nice and a couple days later for. Backstage. Magazine Tom has asked if he has any acting mentors and Tom says yes, and first says that is Robert Downey Junior.

But then he said the second person would probably be Zendaya. When we started shooting the first Spider Man film, she and I became best mates. She was so helpful in the process of my life changing because not only are you making big films and you're traveling the world, but everyone starts to know who you are and you have to behave differently. You have a responsibility to kind of uphold this idea of being a role model to young kids, and arguably she's the best at that.

You can't really find anything against Zendaya. She's kind of like the perfect person. It was so wonderful to have someone unlike her in my corner to help me grow through the that process. And yes, I've made mistakes. I went through her phase when I had where I hated taking pictures with people and I was like, no, no, no, leave me alone. She really taught me she was like, that would probably stress you out more than saying yes and being nice about it.

She was so right and made that whole process so much nicer. Wow, that's sweet. I know you don't hear. That a lot. Well, a couple days. After that, Tom. Was doing a lot of press during this time. I don't know if it was for the devil all the time or what, but he was asked by an interview if Zendaya was back by his side. And by the way, the interviewer said it and made it seem like, oh, you're back to shooting Spider man and Zendaya's there too type of thing, you know?

But Tom took it in a whole other way and he responded by saying absolutely. And I will add right away that Zendaya is just a friend, nothing more. We have a bomb that goes back several years and we make each other laugh on set. It's nice to have friends like her without any ambiguity. The answer to a question I never. Know. He was just ready for it though. Like. No, we're not. Dating. We're just friends. Had to get that in there.

OK. It also seems like Thomas doing press for the movie Cherry. I forgot about that. But anyway. So he continued doing press for it, and he was asked if his heart had ever been broken. I know we don't know each other well, but I want to get just a little personal because this is such an amazing love story and it's so heartbreaking on so many levels. And clearly he joins the Army to cope with loss and heartbreak. What is the most impulsive thing you've ever done to cope with

heartbreak? Or has your heart ever been broken? Tom Holland, Yes. My heart is very. Very well and truly been broken. Sort of broke it myself. Yeah. I'm. Not sure if I'm going to talk about the impulses. Of what? I'm not going to talk about that, but I will say that I have been heartbroken and it was my fault. I guess kind of it's his fault. I guess so seems what does this mean? I don't know. Oh my goodness, I know so. Did he end the relationship?

Previously, like why? Why did he end it? I don't know. I'm assuming it's about Sunday. It has. To hope it's not about like someone from high school. I don't know. He was really cagey talking about it if it was someone from high school. I think he would have been more open about it. You're right, You're right. Like I don't want to talk about it. That break up from Stephanie. In like 10th grade really hurt me. Yeah. I wonder, did he end it? And then she.

Got with Jacob Blarty and he was like fuck yeah What? Maybe. Maybe that was very real of him though, even if he didn't open up. That much he did a little bit, and I appreciate that. Very vulnerable. Yeah, well, over the next couple months, Tom did. More press interviews and he referenced Zendaya lot and he also calls her one of his best friends. And then June 1st, 2021, Zendaya posted a photo of Tom to her Instagram story and captioned it

with Pretty glad you were born. Happy birthday at Tom Holland. Still, there's a distance, an air of casualness, but that's sweet. Well, later that month, Tom was spotted. On the Euphoria set multiple times. I don't know how he would be there though if like Jacob was there, I don't know. Yeah, crazy that would be, I feel. Like that would feel very competitive or I know, or maybe they're chill, but also Jacob Mallardy is known for being quite a hunk, so it's just a fact, so.

That would be tough I. Know he's this wicked tall dude. Too. Oh yeah, he's well, actually, I didn't know. His height, but I assumed he was tall. He seemed tall in the. Priscilla. He's 6. 5 OH. My God, he's 65, so he's like. Almost a fit foot dollar. I don't think, Tom. Is that insecure? About his height, but I think seeing Zendaya with a wicked tall dude could make him feel kind of insecure just because of, you know, stereotypes. Yeah, you know, like. Yeah, and they're supposed to be.

Like, so strong and even though it's not really necessary for our modern lives, but, like, whoever could best fend off a bear is the most attractive guy. So that's the stereotype. It's not. If anybody's listening, like. And you don't, you're not like Jacob Lordy's. But that's OK. Everyone knows. I mean, Timothy, tell me is tall, actually, but it's more my type. Yeah. How tall is he? Like 6. Foot He is actually tall, but he looks like. He'd be short. I think he's hunching a lot

though. I don't know, I think sometimes he hunches to make himself look shorter. He's just thin. Has a very young looking face. Anyway, why did I bring up Tim and Dijon me again? You just put that out. I would like to talk about him. Someday you could do him and Lily Rose. Depp maybe. Maybe Kylie Jenner, although I don't know how much. Information. There is there. They're cited like once every six months. They're a little too much right

now. I do like them, I think they're cute, but I don't know if anybody needs an episode with them because I feel like we're seeing enough. Yeah, maybe if they break up, you know, if. I guess we'll see. Maybe. Lily Rose Depp. I used to think that was a fake relation. Me too. So I'm not dying. To come. Now, but I don't really care about Lily. I mean, I saw her Nosferatu. And I thought she was good, but

yeah. Well, anyway, July 2nd, 2021, Tomdiah, people probably know where I'm going with this. You're probably freaking out because Tommens and Daya were photographed and filmed kissing in his car, thus confirming that they were dating. And according to the paparazzo who filmed and took photos of this, they apparently kissed at every stoplight for at least three miles. That's crazy. I know. And you can see footage of. This.

Oh my goodness, he's like. Grabbing her face or just touching her face, I. Guess grabbing a little. Dramatic, really keen under her chin. Tom and Z kissing finally. Oh my. Gosh. Wait, so they're in traffic? Yeah, it's funny. He like touches up his. Hair. OK, then they're like bobbing their heads to music. Yeah, that's exciting. Yeah. So the world stood. Still, because they were confirmed Tom and Zendaya dating together, it's official kissing. Yes, wow.

And then throughout. The rest of the summer. They were spotted on multiple dates together, mostly in California, and then September 1st again. Huge date for the Tom Dyer fans. For Zendaya's birthday, Tom posted a photo of the two of them in iconic infamous picture with the caption My MJ have the happiest of birthdays. Give me a call when you're up XXX and you can see the photo #9 they're just bearing it all now. I know. They're together. Oh. My gosh. So cute.

Her head is resting on his shoulder as she's taking the picture from behind. Oh, it's a film picture. Yeah. How come you had to show me this on Tumblr? Did he, like, delete it? No, I just sometimes. It's hard to share Instagram. Thanks. So I just want Tumblr. I don't know, that would be so sad. It is cool, it's exciting to see. Them together because and especially kissing.

I'm sorry if it makes me sound like a perv, but because something about them does seem so like clean and professional and reserved, even though they can be silly. Yeah, such. It's like seeing a teacher outside of school, you know, it's like, whoa, it's just weird to see them actually kissing. I know. So it's like, Oh my God, they're. Actually together, Oh my God. And then exciting. And they commented on the post saying calling now cute.

People don't communicate over. Social media as much. I mean, that was pretty late actually. When was that? 2020? That was 2021. I would say at that point people actually did not. Do it no more, but definitely a lot. In like 2010 you would write on each other's walls. And tweet at each other. Yeah, you like share private? Information publicly for some reason you'd like TV would always be like so and. So call me. I don't know. Yeah, call me. Why don't you just?

Call I guess I didn't answer the phone but like I guess just wait out of. Message Why are you like, so desperate? I remember that came up a lot. In the Harry and Louie episode, because this was the early 2000 tens and they would, yeah, they would do stuff like that for everybody to see. Yeah, literally. Really was the. Wild West of the IT. Was I think we still are somewhat in the Wild West. I don't know what's gonna happen. I don't know. It's gonna be like, damn.

What do you mean just no Internet? No. Internet. I don't know. I know. Maybe. Well, speaking. Of Dune. October 18th, Tom posted a photo to his Instagram of Zendaya at the Dune Part 1 premiere and he captioned it. Dune hard eyes emoji. Because Zendaya's in Dune, yeah. But also though, yeah, because the photo. Was just of her. It's not like it was like the poster or anything. So yeah, because she's in it. I didn't mention it, but she's in it. Oh my gosh.

It all ties together because his rival. Timmy plays her. I know who's actually easy A. Couple days later for Dune Press Sunday and Timmy are made to answer questions about one another. And one of the questions is who is the other's biggest celebrity crush? And Timmy says easy, Tom Holland cute. And she's like, yeah, I'm sorry to keep talking. About what?

But do you remember? I feel like there was a time where it almost seemed like they were trying to the press was trying to make it seem like there was something going on between Zendaya and oh for sure there was. There was like there were pictures of them on the sidewalk. With like coffees or something. I think it was around. It was very brief. Because. She had just been with like.

Jacob and no one. And I think people were obviously like they saw the kissing stuff and they had to have thought she with with Tom, but maybe this was while she was filming Dune before that. So people thought, oh, maybe she's not with Jacob. She's not with Tom before she's with Timmy. Maybe. But it seems like obviously that one nowhere. I don't think they were together. So yeah, weird. I I wonder, I know if Timothy Shamley has had a couple PR things.

I could believe it. I still love him but it. Was kind of sketchy. Well, anyway, November 11th. Tom posted a photo of Zendaya from the CFDA awards to his Instagram. Always to his Instagram, never even to his stories. I don't know if he just doesn't know how to use stories or what, but he he posed with the caption. Nah, stop it heart eyes emoji. An incredible achievement for the most incredible person. Congrats at Zendaya and luxury law. You guys deserve every bit of this.

Well, she won an award I think that deserves. To be a permanent poet, I guess. So, yeah. It's just funny that he's like. No, stop it. I don't know. It's cute. It is cute throughout that month, Tom. Was on the. Euphoria set a lot, so he keeps visiting her. And that same month again, November, Tom was interviewed by the magazine Total Film. And he said in the article, I'm very happy. I'm very happy and in love. I know dropped. The L word my. Gosh, no, that's really cute.

Yeah, very. Open. I feel like that. Wasn't even necessary. To say people I feel like think they're very private. Tom and Zendaya doing research for them. They are not. They are very public. If anything, I feel like they're always talking about each other. Seems like it. Yeah, even like. Oh, who's your role model in acting? He didn't have to say. I know. Yeah. And I think. By any means I know. And I was kind of nervous. Because I said there was that earlier.

Interview where Sunday was like, I keep things private, but maybe it's because she's with Tom and she's just so happy. She just wants to talk about him or something. But she does not follow that anymore, especially in the later years. Like she is not private about it at all, being with Tom, which is great. I appreciate that as a normal person. Like I want all the deets. Tell me about how much you love your partner. I don't know.

I'd rather you do that than be very coy and cagey and I don't know, you know? And they're both in showbiz. Yeah, I feel. Like I, I could understand if your spouse or your partner isn't famous, like I would almost feel kind of weird or feel bad for them. Like, sorry, I talk about you and like all these people know you and, you know, it's kind of weird, but they're both in the same industry. Like I think they would. They get it, you know? Yeah, Well, Tom kind of talks

about privacy. In the GQ magazine, that is around the same time, he's asked about his relationship and he says one of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn't really in our control anymore. In a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment that is shared with the entire world. I've always been really adamant to keep my private life private. I don't think really anyway, because he shares so much my

life with the world anyway. We sort of felt robbed of our privacy. And the interviewer, Oliver Franklin Wallace asked. You weren't ready to talk about it. And, and, and Tom responded. I don't think it's about not being ready. It's just that we don't want to. It's not a conversation that I can have without her. You know, I respect her too much to say this isn't my story. It's our story and we'll talk about it when we were ready to talk about it together.

And then the interviewer, I guess, reached out to Zendaya and he asked her a similar question and she said it was quite strange and weird and confusing and invasive, you know, talking about the Pat video of them kissing being leaked. And she said the equal sentiment we both share is that when you really love and care about somebody, some moments or things you wish were your own.

I think loving someone is a sacred thing and a special thing and something that you want to deal with and go through and experience and enjoy amongst the two people that love each other. So I get what they're saying, but they're also being very like, we love each other, like shouting around the rooftops, you know, like, they're both saying so much while also saying so much about wanting to be private. I almost thought you were going to say I mean this.

Would be ridiculous, but the interviewer reached out to Zendaya and said Tom's. I didn't feel comfortable talking about it without discussing it with you first, so I'm just going to check with you. Well, I think that was part of it. Yeah, because he was like, I won't talk about it without her consent or whatever. So he's like, OK, I'll just reach out to Zendaya and see what she has to say. Well anyway, so they do a Spider Man No Way Home photo call again

in London on December 5th. And they pose together on the red carpet and they look very cute. And they also do an interview at this photo call and we get to hear them say both nice things about each other and their relationship. There she. Is looking beautiful. As ever. Yeah, absolutely. Is that really his voice? Yeah, I guess. He has a raspy voice that. Day or something? It sounds so raspy. He also sounds like a cockney chimney. Sweep or something, that accent. But he does.

Have AI feel like he does sound like he's a cold. I feel like he didn't sound like that before. OK, OK, very wise. She's like. An owl. The wise owl. Yeah, I guess. You know, Listen, I have an old. Soul always have people call me grandma and I will take that the biggest way is just companionship, you know like. Two friends coming together, like experiencing this world, going through the same problems at the same times.

Having a shoulder to cry on has been a huge thing for the pair of us. And with Jacob as well, you know, we really are a family and, you know, becoming famous at the age of 19. But this is a different kind of fame. You know, there's there's not a corner of the world that Spiderman hasn't touched. So, you know, it's a lot to take in. So it's really nice for me to have, you know, a family to share that with. Most special parts of all of this is the fact that I got to meet Tom Mullins.

So I'm incredibly forever grateful to spider man for for that. And he's obviously very talented and a lovely person. And I couldn't imagine anyone else being our spider Man because he deserves it, but he's also really great at it. So no, I I mean, being able to share this, to grow up beside each other has been an awesome nice. Yeah, very cute. Yes, they were being photographed.

By so many people. I never understand how actors, I guess it's part of the job, but I mean, even singer, I don't know how they're so good at just posing. I'm a horrible poser. I could. Never do that. This is the. Straight thing yeah, it must be blinding too with all the flashes I. Don't know how they do it, no. Very sweet though, again. She didn't have to say that, but she said one of the best things about the whole experience was meeting Tom. I know.

And like, she's thankful. For this franchise because she got to meet him. Yeah, amazing, cute, I know. Well, for the remainder of the year, Sunday and Tom continued to do press for Spiderman No Way Home, which is the third one, in case you guys don't know. OK, December 13th at the No Way Home premiere, Tom was asked about Zendaya and this was his response. So this is number 11. How incredible is it to be sharing this?

Craziness with your Co star. With. Zendaya. I mean, amazing. I know. She just rocked. Up now and I'm trying to see if I can see her. I haven't seen her yet, but she's one of the most incredible people I've ever met and and and I love it a bit. So to be here tonight is amazing. I'm delighted to share it with her and my cast and my family. So I honestly can't wait. Yeah, so just cute lover.

To bits and then a few days later on December 15th an interview with Tom and Zendaya was released and this was in France that they did the interview and one of the questions they were asked was what did you steal from set and Tom's answer was very cute and this is only like a few seconds so this is number 12 steal from set you haul that's. Good. That's it. It's like 4 seconds. Yeah, that's why he says quick

that. Same day, Zendaya posted two photos to Instagram, one of him dressed as spider man on set Tom and one of Tom dressed as spider man as a kid and the caption of her post was my Spider Man. I'm so proud of you. Some things never change and that's a good thing. Heart emoji and then my. Spider Man, Yeah. And. Then Christmas 2020. One Tom spent it with Zendaya's family. Wow, it's been years at this point. I. Know and early 20. 22 Thomas and they were spotted out together a lot as usual.

They were out in LA, New York, Rome, Boston, they were seen at Broadway plays, basketball games, various eateries and restaurants. They were everywhere. And on June 1st for Tom's birthdays. And Daya posted a photo of the two of them to Instagram with the caption happiest of birthdays. The one who makes me the happiest heart emoji. And then Tom commented 3 heart emojis back and you can see the post that's #13 wow, that looks like a professional.

Couples phone. I know it's black and white and he's hugging. Her from behind, it's kind of a close up and she's looking to the side with her head pressed against his and he's looking at beautiful friends. They're very happy and smiling. They're in focus, but the background. Is yeah out of focus so it's very you know professional looking or maybe just a photographer friend took it I don't know yeah that's pretty legit yeah and this forget why they still.

They still kind of. Talk about each other in a very casual way, though I don't know why they're so uncomfortable. What do you mean? Even saying like lover to bits like that sounds kind of casual to me. Yeah, I don't know, but. They are together. Maybe that's just their way. Maybe that's also British thing, I don't know. But this post that she made for him for his birthday was, is actually the 20th most liked Instagram post to date of all time of all time.

If you don't count all the football related ones, it's the sixth most. OK, I say that because actually if you go in Wikipedia, they list all the top posts and then they have another list that's without all the best, the football related ones. So Wikipedia media did that and I included it. Football, American football or like non American football. I see. Yeah. And then in July, Zendaya was spotted on the Crowded room set multiple times. That's the miniseries that Tom was in.

And then the following months, Tom visited her in Budapest and Jordan on the set of Dune Part 2. And then November 2022, La Roche, Zendaya and Tom Stylist was on the Drew Barrymore Show and he said that Sunday and Tom had been secretly in love forever and that he was happy they were finally public with their love. And then December. 14th Tom and Zedea. Went together to visit her old school, the Oakland School of the Arts. That's so to speak.

I love that showing. Your significant other, your past, where you grew up. Yeah, all those little things. Very cute. What's important to you? Well, then they. Spend a lot of the early 2023 vacationing. They went on a month long trip to the Caribbean. They went to the Turks and Caicos, Saint Vincent, St. Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda and the Grenadines. They were all over the Caribbean together. Yeah, a whole month lucky.

And they made lots of. Posts about this featuring each other on their instagrams and then they also spent a couple days in France and Monaco afterwards. Wow, they are just totally open now. I know. And then they went on. Another vacation together in April to Mumbai, India. And then in between these trips, they were also spotted together nearly every day, mostly in London. So they're, they're together, they're very much nearly every day. Yep, and then they travel.

To Las Vegas. Together, spend time there, go to a bunch of concerts and then they also go to Venice and they spend time there as well. So this part of the year, they're just traveling. I don't think they're working. They're just they're just traveling. Oh my gosh. And. Then June 4th. 2023 While answering Buzzfeed's 30 questions, Tom is asked about his rizz game or charisma game. Is rizz still a thing? I don't know and you can see the clip. I have no rizz whatsoever.

I have limited rizz. My brother Paddy has ultimate rizz. I don't know. I need you to fall in love with me, really, for it to work. So long game, probably making a movie with each other. It definitely helps when the characters you're playing are falling in love with one another. You can sort of blur the lines a little bit. That's kind of where my rizz is AT. And I'm, you know, I'm locked up, so I'm happy and in love, so I've got no need for rizz. That's so cute. Don't you think? Oh my.

Gosh, adorable. Adorable. No, I'm knocked. Up really in love. I should just. Start saying that to people like locked. Up I'm in love. So I'm just like, oh, I have a boyfriend. I'm. Funny if someone use that when. They aren't even dating that person, just like they're crushed. I'm unavailable. I'm in love. Yeah. And. They're like, oh, you're married or something. No, you're engaged. No, you have a boyfriend or something. No, I just love someone from afar, but I'm really committed to that person. Well, a couple days later, he did an interview for UNILAD and he was asked about his carpentry skills because he does carpentry

on the side. He says like if he wasn't an actor, he would be a Carpenter. And he says that in the interview that early on in his relationship with Zendaya, he he fixed a door for her with his carpentry skills. Nice and very attractive. Yeah. And he said. That was like, he was like. Trying to be really cool about it, like I'm going to fix that door for you, you know, I do think Carpenter is the most. Attractive male career. I think a lot of people agree on that. Maybe they would.

Well another thing with like helping out or going to Zendaya's hometown. Zendaya and Tom in on On August 26th they participated in an All Stars basketball game for charity in Oakland, CA Nice. And then September 1st, Tom posted a photo of Zendaya to his Instagram for her birthday with the caption My birthday girl

heart emoji or heart eyes emoji. Rather sweet. And then 2020. 4. Which is just this past year. In January, Tom said in an interview that he and Zendaya will occasionally rewatch the first Spider Man movie of theirs, Spider Man Homecoming, to reminisce and look back on like, where they started together. Just the first one though, I guess, because that's the first. One you know. That's when they together, Yeah, that melts my heart. But they just put it.

On yeah, when I was doing research and I got. To that part I was like maybe I should rewatch Spreading so I put it on cuz I was like let me reminisce with them. That's so sweet. Yeah, I own it. On DVD so I can. A lot of people say they've never want to. Rewatch their movies or something. So that's kind of, I know it is cute. You should enjoy. It I know. And then we're almost.

Done with clips. I only have two more in February. Zendaya does a lot of press for Dune 2 and she gets a very cute answer regarding Tom even when the question has like nothing to do with him for the most part. So it's like if you want to be private, just don't bring him up, you know? So you can see the first one, which I believe is 15 Yorkshire T as in there. What about you? Yeah, my boyfriend, I would just take him with me. That's right. That's the best. Answer.

Yeah, I love that. So the question was for. Some reason they were all being asked this, like what would you take from the United Kingdom or the UK and take back with you? I don't know why that was the question. And her answer is my boyfriend, obviously, like I wish I could take him with me. That's I know Timmy's responses. Oh, that's right. Oh. Here. What jealous? Is he jealous? That'd be crazy. That'd. Be cool, it could have been him.

Imagine if he got spider man. If he was spider man. Well anyway. Anyway, Zendaya is interviewed again and she mentions Tom even though she doesn't need to, so you can watch that. It's #16 She's asked who on the cast of Dune has the most rizz. Me. I love, I don't know, Rizz is short for charisma, right? Everybody's kind of got their own. I think someone who has beautiful charisma. Not on the Dune cast, but I personally works for me, it's Mr. Sean Holland. So yeah.

What? She just mentioned her boyfriend out of the. Yeah, she's asked who on the Dune cast. Has the most rizz. And she says my boyfriend, Tom Holland, even though she's not in the Dune cast, she's found a way to talk about him. Yeah. What the heck? Crazy I know. Like you don't need to bring him up. If you don't want to, I don't know if you want to be private. It would almost be annoying if I didn't think he was so cute. But I do. Yeah. It is very cute, that's why.

That's one of the words from but if it was like Chrissy Teigen. And John Legend, he would be like answer. The damn question. Stop bringing your marriage into this. Yeah, well then May 7th, Tom posted to his Instagram two photos of Zendaya at the Met Gala with the caption of three heart eye emojis. So he he's always posting his girl on his Instagram. That's really sweet. And then keep saying that. Yeah. And then throughout June and July. As and they.

Attended multiple performances of Tom's Romeo and Juliet play on the West End and I've heard that it wasn't that good so she must really love him. If she went to multiple performances of It Sucks, Why wasn't it that good 'cause it was. Very experimental. I watched so many reviews about it even before I was doing this

episode. For some reason I I don't even care for Broadway or the West End, but I watch YouTube videos about it. Jamie, Jamie Lloyd I think is the guy who did it and he has a very weird way. Not weird, just a different way of doing plays. And sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, where it's very stripped down. The characters were like Gray. The set is very Gray. There's like no set, Pretty much none. And sometimes they do it via

like filming. Like instead of watching the play happen on stage, you'll watch it like on a screen. And sometimes it'll be live where like somebody's performing on the roof and you're just watching like a recording of it. I don't know. It didn't work apparently for the Romeo and Juliet play. Sometimes it works for other ones, but so if you don't care about Broadway and West End. Why are you watching videos about? That's interesting, really. You do. Care a bit. Is it Jamie Heath?

No. Jamie Lloyd. I was right. You must care. You do care. I like to be in the know. I unironically watch a lot of stuff about things that I don't really care about. I don't think that's true. I think you do care. About it I just I just like to be in the know I I. Mean, I don't know. Anyway, OK, in October, Tom launched his alcohol free beer brand called B Row, and one of the brews he says is named after his and Zendaya's dog. Noon and Noon was originally

Zendaya's dog. Previously, like it was always known as Zendaya's dog, but now it seems like he considers the dog his too. Oh wait. Noon NOO. N yes, noon. It's a cute dog name, yeah. What made him? Want to have a non alcoholic beer? He was just stopping. I don't think like he.

Really had like an addiction or anything but I think he wanted to curtail his drinking and stop drinking and he realized that there really wasn't any non alcoholic beers so he thought that there was a market for it so he got into that his there definitely are non alcoholic beers but. Maybe he just thought they weren't good. Yeah, maybe so. Maybe as it's better, I don't know. Also, Zendaya doesn't drink. I didn't mention that before. So maybe that also kind of

influenced him also. So and then they were going to be photographed at the Bureau event, the official launch event, and you can see pictures of that. So that is 17. It's kind of a random venture of his Bureau. He's just staring straight ahead. He almost looks like daring the headlights. And she looks very cool. I know he's not. Posed in the vest way, but they look cute. It's cute. Yeah. Wow, this is. Quite a setup they have, I know glasses.

Behind them and. Wooden shelves and this is Bureau. He must have a lot of money, I think so definitely he must get millions. From being Spider man. Wow. Yeah. And probably we'll get more in the future movies he's going to be in because like Robert Downey Junior when he did Avengers End Game, I think he got like 75,000,000. And I think if Tom keeps churning out these Spider Man movies, he will probably get paid around the same amount I assume. That's crazy. I know, that's all I have to

say. About that, yeah. And she? Has a successful. Career too, so. They're both ranking in that money. And then throughout November, Tom and Zendaya were in Massachusetts while Zendaya filmed her new movie with Robert Pattinson called the Drama. I don't think, Tom. Was working at that point in. Time besides maybe on Bureau so he lived with Zendaya during this time in Massachusetts. This must be when they went to Salem as I. Mentioned at the beginning, I think it was. I think it was the.

Episode. It's so cute they did a little day. Yeah, it's crazy to think about, I know I I do recommend. If anybody visits. Massachusetts. You should go to Salem. It's very cool. I would love to live there. I know you did. Live there, Kelly, so I know sometimes I really do miss. Living there, I feel very nostalgic about it, but I had to leave for some reason.

For some reason. Well, anyway, on November. 27th, still in Massachusetts. Tom and Zendaya both got matching tattoos on the sides of their rib cage, and Tom got AZ and Zendaya got AT. Oh my gosh, yeah. That's permanent. I know. But that's serious. Wow. We'll know what's even they're. Really in love. Or serious. What? Well, a couple months. Later in. January of 2025, Zendaya was at the Golden Globes, and she debuted a Jessica McCormick diamond engagement ring on her

left finger. So they're finally, finally. Oh my goodness, after like 9 years. Knowing one another and being together and then having that break and then getting back together. They are now engaged and it's confirmed. So it's not just like, oh, she had that ring on that finger and oh, it's not, it's not an engagement ring. It's a, it's a promise ring or something.

Or I'm just wearing a ring, you know, because of a few days later, Tom's dad, Dominic wrote on his blog regarding the engagement rumor and I'm going to read a short excerpt from it. The engagement has now been confirmed and why I'm writing about it here, but without adding anything new and juicy. Tom, as you know by now, was very incredibly well prepared. He had purchased a ring. He has spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter.

Tom had everything planned out, when, where, how, what to say, what to wear. For most blokes, the stress of purchasing an engagement ring is being able to afford it. I suspect that this was the least of Tom's worries, more concerned with the stone, its size and clarity, its housing. Which jeweler? I do fret that their combined stardom will amplify their spotlight and the and the commensurate demands on them. And yet they continually confound me by handling everything with a plum.

And even though show business is a messy place for relationships, and particularly so for famous couples as they crash and burn in public and are too numerous to mention, and yet somehow, right at the same time, I'm completely confident they will make a successful union. It's kind of. Touching that his dad wrote that, I know that was nice to hear. I know. And he asked. For her. Permission from her dad. Like, it's so sweet. He doesn't need to do that. But Oh my God, I don't know.

It's adorable. They do seem very. Much like just good people to be wholesome, I would say. So they don't seem crazy at all. They don't seem like partiers. It's interesting, yeah. And that's pretty much as. Far as we know as of right now, they were both cast. In. Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey movie, and so they're building that. They'll also be doing Spider Man 4, so they'll be filming together a bunch probably soon. But that's pretty much it.

Last we knew they got engaged. That's amazing and it's really. Lucky that in a way we waited to cover them until now. I know we could have done them in the past, but. Now we know that they're. Engaged. And I feel like that really changes even how you see them. Like I don't know, I guess they have been pretty open about their relationship lately, but like it you could maybe still argue like is it PR? Exactly. I feel like by this point, no, you can't say that for real.

It's been so long. I know it's been like. Six years almost. 10, I mean nine years. Sorry, it's been 9 years, almost 10. Crazy. It's exciting to see them get. Engaged. I mean a lot of. These couples that remind me of them, like Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield, I mean, there's a lot of other similar couples, but who were who played romantic interests in these big franchises. They didn't make it that far, so they always like.

Crash and burn before it happens. So it's nice to see them finally like crossing the finish line, so to say. I know. Knock on wood. I do wish them all the best. Me too. Odds that they're gonna stay together. I hope. Oh my God, that would. Be really sad. It would be so bad. I'll say 80%. I'm gonna say OK, I'm gonna say 90. Percent 'cause there's still 10% it might not work out and that will if they don't work out, that'll be that 10%. But I'm hopeful. They do seem like they.

Go really well together and yeah, still love each other and are just like each other's best friend. And I've mentioned and I forgot to. Mention this, but Tom especially in like 20/24/2023, so many times in interviews, it kept coming up how he wants to be a husband and he wants to be a dad and he kind of wants to be like a stay at home dad a little bit and just like raise kids and maybe get into his carpentry and work on his other ventures and

things. So I can imagine that if they do get married, I mean, he does have a lot of MCU movies to come out, but I think I could see him. And her. Well, maybe him just stepping away from the spotlight for a little bit and then she can act. I don't know. We'll see. Kate, thanks. For doing all this. Research. That's crazy.
