OK, But so we're going to go through the different breakups, new couples, marriages, engagements, babies from this past year from pop culture.
But we thought it would make the best sense to start with breakups so we can get the, you know, Downers out of the way first, unless you didn't like these couples and you're happy that they broke. Up true. Speaking of one of our couples, one of the biggest breakups of the year was Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, which we covered and two parts. And we did cover their breakup around the time that that was announced.
And when we last left these two, they were confirmed to be getting divorced, but then still met up for lunch with their families and people were like, oh, maybe they are getting back together. Doesn't seem like it. Not much has changed. A source tells Us Weekly that there's still a lot of love between them, but the divorce is still going forward. And the source also adds they have lingering doubts and hesitation about the decision.
And when they're together as a family and see the kids together, it reminds them of how good they are as a team and what's important. However, in October, a source told People magazine that Ben Quote never looked back as soon as he moved out of his house with Jlo. And actually he's been like seemingly more friendly with his ex Jennifer partner, who we also covered. They spent Thanksgiving together at like a food bank volunteering together. So it seems like he's maybe
leaning on her. I don't think they're together, but. No Imagine. I know. But maybe now he feels more comfortable. Hanging out. With the mother of his children, now that he's single again, I don't know. I mean, I know that like his kids with Jlo were close, both their kids were close with each other, but all this stuff about like, oh, as a family, as a family. Like they weren't really married that long for them to have to like Co parent. Their kids are older. So yeah.
I, I feel like they will drag out this divorce either for a really long time and it'll just be kind of something that's like up in the air and that'll be separated for a while, or they'll be divorced and then maybe they'll get back together like five years from now. I hope not I. I could see that happening. I could see this. I could. Not handle that. I could see that happening. And I I hope if that happens that no one eats that up. I'll be eating it.
I just, it's not like I eat it up is in like I love them together, but just it's a funny kind of thing, you know? Yeah, I guess if you feel like it's a safety couple for you or like, you know, something you can rely on them being together, that makes sense. But I. Was going to say, I guess it's kind of, it's kind of hypocritical of me, I guess that I want Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham to get back. Together. But that I don't support. This.
I guess I don't know, I just like their story better where I just resonates with me. But I think it would just be funny if just for all the rest of time, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez just continue to get divorced and remarried. That would be. Funny. OK. Another big couple, which a lot of you said that you were interested in from 2024 when we asked on Patreon, is Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keegan. Is it Keegan or Keogan? I don't. Know. Why are you disappointed? Cause OK, we both also love Sabrina Carver. This is kind of like, what's that thing when people are like, oh, you have a weird relationship with online people? Yeah, a parasocial relationship. We have a parasocial relationship with Barry Kiogan or whatever. You. Should know how to pronounce his name if. You're. So obsessed. With him. Look it up on YouTube. OK, whatever. Oh, the Green Knight. The Green Knight. We also love him.
The Green Knight. I don't know if I mentioned that, but. I loved him in. Banshees, yeah, but. He's so funny. It's just disappointing because we we wanted better of him if potentially he did cheat on Sabrina Carpenter, which we don't believe he should be getting hate or anything like that. Like he did Release a statement about the fact that he was getting hate and that his grandma was getting hate and that oh what? Did he? Cheat. Where did people get this information from?
Well, there was rumors circling that he was cheating, and then the person that he supposedly cheated with posted that like, yeah, I'm the one he cheated with flaunting it. That's weird. Yeah. Yeah, it's like a tick tocker, like an influencer. Should we believe? That well, she was. Like just someone looking for attention. Well, she was like saying like, yeah, it was me. And then later she backtracked her like, it wasn't me. But then why did he say it was you?
So it was weird. But then like in his statement, he didn't say that he didn't cheat. So it's all weird. I don't know. Kelly. I'm sorry I'm overtaking this thing, but I feel very fortunately about it. I'm I'm. Laughing because in the background I heard what sounded what sounded like Kelly looking at how to pronounce. His name? Yeah, I found. I looked at the. Pronunciation I could. Hear. That. As he. Was. Talking, it's. Apparently it's. Kogan. Kogan. Is that the Irish way of saying
it? I. Don't know, I did. Do I mean, that's just what Google said. Like it? Could be Yogan pronunciation. It sounds like there's cute. Like Yohan, Caitlin, Catlins going on And then I just hear very well. So a lot of those are cheating
rumors. Apparently these cheating rumors stemmed from Dumois where they posted a blind item that said on the closing night of her biggest tour to date in LA, he was busy getting very cozy at Saint Vincenti Bungalows with a blonde semi famous LA based influencer who's particularly big on TikTok. That's lame. I know Caitlin, correct me if I'm wrong. Wasn't a relationship kind of controversial from the start because he had like a not a newborn but like a one year old?
