Episode description

This week on the podcast, the girls are joined by crisis and hostage negotiator Nicky Perfect. After working in the Met Police for over two decades, it was recommended that Nicky try negotiating. She quickly realised it was her calling, and something she wanted to do for the rest of her career.

Nicky's day-to-day life as a crisis and hostage negotiator was adrenaline fuelled: she was constantly dealing with people at breaking point and immersed in life-or-death situations, such as terrorist incidents and kidnappings.

On this episode, Nicky shares her proudest moments, toughest negotiations, and biggest mistakes. She also explains why empathy is the most important factor in defusing highly volatile situations.
