Episode description

Two fifths of the way through season 2! IRL, Sarah has been re-playing Dragon Age Inquisition in anticipation for the next Dragon Age coming out soon. Joe has been entertaining friends, trying to make Ohio seem as appealing as possible. A monumental task.

In Kimi Ni Todoke season 3 episode 2, we go on a field trip! The crew goes to Okinawa and has some fun in the sun. Or at least, Sawako and Kazehaya have some fun (maybe too much fun…), Ayane and Chizu on the other hand, are having considerably less of a good time. Ayane has, then gets rid of a new boyfriend after an extremely underwhelming meet cute. Chizu gets all in her head after Ryu gets asked out by another girl. Lots of drama this episode! Come join us on the beach!

These episodes. So this is a regular episode. OK, this one hour long episode that is like a little movie. Yeah, she goes down. Truly it does. All righty, we are back. So Joe Kimi Tadoke, season three episode two today. And I'm your host, Sarah, joined as always by the lovely Joe. Hello. I hope you had a better week since we last spoke. Yes, it was better. A lot of my friends came and visited me in my town, my town, where I live. And it was, you know, we have there are six of us.

That's a lot of people to keep entertaining for like three days. Yeah. Yeah, so it was good. We did like a we had like all the fun places around town and we like eat at a bunch of different places here. My friends I like to eat. So that was easy because it's like, oh, well, we can go here and here and here. One of the days we went on a float trip, like where you sit in a tube and go down the river. I'm familiar. That was that was pretty good. That was first.

That was my first time ever doing that. It's all the rage here, freaking get a beer in your inner tube and just go carefree. I hear I haven't done it. That's so not an activity for me. Oh, no. Yeah. Because they're bugs and stuff. Is that why up there? Well, when I was when we went, it was for like shaded because you're in like a river that has like a big, you know, there's the whatever it's called shade. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Around it. Oh, that's good. Yeah. Shade. Yeah. So it was good.

It was fun. Apparently, Ohio doesn't let you officially doesn't let you bring alcohol, but we you could have. Totally. If we didn't, because it's only two hours. Yeah. OK. Also, we went in the morning, so not the best time to drink anyway. We're like 11. But we, you know, you could next time next time you can visit me, we could we could do that. Such a fun. Such a fun thing. Although I didn't get much sleep because I had to like sleep on like a couch cushion on the floor.

Because my bed situation, I don't plan on having yes, five people usually. So tell people that's fine. It was fine. But then last night, well, last night, everybody left and I like put things together and I'm like, I'm going to go to sleep early and that'll be great, except I made a fatal mistake, which was I everybody left. So I'm like, oh, I can like wash all the like laundry and stuff, right? Like I have like sheets, everybody say it on.

And I'm like, oh, I have like the blankets everybody used. I should go ahead and wash those first so that I can have like clean blankets, right? Except I made a mistake because one of them that I've known before, it's done before just soaks up water, right? Like you put in the wash receipt, it comes out that it's like super heavy and you like can't do anything. And if you try to like put it in the dryer, just like nothing will happen, right? Because it's like soaked, soaked.

So unfortunately, I thought I knew which one it was and I was wrong and actually put it in there. So then I had to like spend an hour like wringing it out in the bathtub and then like setting up a thing for it to like stay out in air dry overnight. It was it was a mess. It was a mess. So don't don't wash your sheets. OK, that's the takeaway. Just break some disinfectant on it. It'll be fine. OK. I don't know. My grandma says I'm supposed to wash them every week. The grandma's wrong.

And OK, well, I'm glad you had more friends come visit you. Yeah, and it all went well other than your laundry or deal. Yep, the bars were pretty like not super crowded. It was great. Nice. What about you, Sarah? What have you been doing? I don't know. Sorry. I'm a little out of breath. Freakin dogs decided now is the time they're going to get crazy and start playing. So I had to like quickly hustle and put one up in her crate so they weren't making a bunch of noises. Rain when those dogs.

Let's see. I am replaying. Well, I am acting like I'm going to replay and then we'll see if I actually follow through replays, right? You mean in position since they announced the official release date for the the bail guard, I think the next one's called October 31st. And the trailer looked good. So I'm all like jazzed up for that. And I've been meaning to play because I've only played through it's entirety once because it's so long. And you know, it's like, oh, I'm going to try and be.

I came out a few years after Skyrim, so I'm trying to be Skyrim where I have a bunch of open world crap. But Sarah hates that stuff. So she only played through it once. And it's been 10 years and I need to I need to get re familiar with everything that's happening and the DLC has like content that leads into the next game. So I need to play that. So we'll see. I managed to get to work on my Steam decks that should expedite process of playing it. And I kind of worked out today. Go me.

Yeah. Like, yeah. Walked my dogs and then I was like, I'm all right, angry and sweaty. So I might as well continue on and just did like a few like presses and arm lifts and penalty stuff, whatever. That's good. Yeah. Feeling the burn. Totally. So is there a dragon is the dragon age game going to be in like VR? Can you like swing around a sword?

No, there's no. If you want that, there's a game called Blade and Sorcery that kind of looks like Star Wars where you're like grabbing people by the necks and like you play that. No, I haven't played that. It seems really intense. And VR is a more casual platform for me. I'm not playing super intense games on that. I probably would get motion sickness. But no, I don't know. Dragon Age is really good. Some humor and I always have. I've played like one of the games for like an hour.

Yeah, it's kind of a weird series because each one is pretty different game play and visually. But so it's not, you know, like Matt Bioware's game, Mass Effect is very cohesive and Dragon Age is not that at all. This is not like direct storyline continuation of the same character. So you know, it's done. Here's here's the names of the game in the series. We've got Dragon Age Origins. We've got Dragon Age 2. We've got Dragon Age Inquisition and Dragon Age Bale Guard.

You notice an outlier in those titles. Dragon King of Hearts. I played Kingdom Hearts. So it's like, you know, this is normal for me. Dragon Age 2 is stupid. Rename it. Oh, dumb. I think they should just kept the numbers. Why didn't they keep the numbers? They didn't start with them. But I mean, Dragon George's was the first one. I mean, I feel like you should just roll with that theme and not just randomly throw a two on it. I think you should number them so that I know what the order is.

I mean, they only come out like every like, well, it's been. Well, between the first one and the second one is only like two years, which is why the second one like has a lot of reused environments and corners cut like that because they have such a tight budget or time crunch. And they've had 10 years on this one. So hopefully it's all I could hope for. And it's kind of like BioWare's time to redeem itself. Time to redeem itself. That's a good that's a good expectation.

I mean, the pressure is on. I enjoy Mass Effect and Dramata, but a lot of people are disappointed by it. And then there is this atrocity called Anthem, which it's hard to believe is even a Bioware game, because it's like nothing like a Bioware game. So I have like a lots of writing on this for that developer. All right. So hopefully they'll pull it off. I guess I mean, they're really good about diverse characters and interesting, you know, side plots and stuff. So you shall see.

I'm trying to decide who I think I'm going to roll me up ahead of time. And then who knows, maybe they'll change my mind. Wow. Then there's. Yeah, you got another personality. Yeah, I guess. Character design. It's hard to look. Yeah, OK. Little Love Island rubbing up on you. Oh, my God, apparently I learned today that there's a game called. Oh, what's it called? Like the Crush Game? I think it's called.

Apparently it's kind of like a reality TV production simulator and the Crush House it's called. And like you go around filming these people living at house that are like dating each other and stuff. I was like, oh, my God, maybe I should try that. And could be your calling. Mate, we'll see. It could be fun. But that's enough about me rambling about games when this is an anime podcast and we're here to talk about Keemee Nitsudoke Season Three Episode Two, much better episode than the last one.

I mean, the last one wasn't bad. It was just like it wasn't exciting. It was not exciting. This one is way more exciting. This one also has a lot of good faces in it. They drew a lot of good faces. Why don't you tell us about it, Joe? OK. Well, there's this one face that they give Sawako this one time where she's like really dopey looking. No, that was your sex. My cute. Oh, OK. Come on. Keemee Nitsudoke Season Three Episode Two is called School Trip.

And it sure is because it contains the entire school trip. It was one episode. So that was interesting. It's the second term, which means the second year is good to go on a school trip to Okinawa, which is crazy. It's a mouth and they're going to a five day trip. Yeah, I know. We did not have field trips like that when I ever feel trips in a week long, I don't think I'm telling you did some trips, but they weren't that long. I guess their vacations are shorter. Yeah, I gotta give and take.

That's crazy. In talking about Okinawa, Iane decides that she must avoid the sun girl. Good, making her the anti hitoko. Well, because she's very complex, conscious, like skincare conscious and very much like avoid the sun and keep a pale complexion in Japan. So that's where things are about to get complex for her. Chizu is excited and accidentally pushes Iane into some guy in the hallway. Some guy. Sawako is also excited and wants to take pictures of everyone.

She's like, that's what I want to do. And this is where we learned the trip is five whole days, which is super long. What? Sawako makes a really good joke. Because Chizu accidentally pushed her into Iane and then Iane is like, God damn it, Chizu, like apologize to Sawako and Sawako's like, it's OK now. It's OK now. So kind of like Okinawa. OK, OK. Yes. So funny. I thought it was great. Good God. So we know she's excited. Yeah, we learned that they're going to pick their groups for the trip soon.

Kento rolls up on Sawako and Kazehaya and basically tells him he saw last episode because he's like, oh, you guys are dating. Ha, that's cool. You guys like held hands and stuff. Anyway, I heard you guys met each other's parents. That was weird. And then he teases them in general for being a couple. He just watched the last episode is the master of secrets. And the Keeming needs master of secrets. Got little birds telling him everything. Yeah, pretty much. It's very it's very funny.

We learned that the group or Sawako's group is going to be Sawako, Kazehaya, Ione, Chizu, Ryu, Joe and Andy. Almost perfect. At least I think it was Andy. Yeah, 100 percent Andy. He gets sidelined immediately. So the whole name we see him multiple times now. He's a full blown character kind of. Ryu asks Chizu why she stopped coming over lately. She says it's because he's been busy with sports practice. She thinks to herself that they've been awkward since summer.

I went back and I don't really know why. I went back and rewatched that scene, the post credit scene from episode one of them. And yeah, I don't think that is a reason to be awkward at all. The scene. It doesn't feel like it is, but you know. May it's the like part where at the end of season two, he said, I like you. But then they pretend that didn't happen. But she still remembers that that happened. Maybe.

Well, they've been they've been awkward for however long this time skip has been because we didn't know time skip. Each group has to pick a leader. Sawako considers doing it, but Kazahaya volunteers to be the group leader instead. He has to go to an after school meeting and she asks if she can stay and wait for him. Kanto and Ioni think that's cute. While waiting, Ioni, Chizu and Sawako pick sightseeing spots. While walking, they accidentally see Andy and Yui talking on the staircase.

They hurry off and wonder if she's asking him out. Then they head into the other direction and notice that it seems like everybody is in couples like in like a couple and up now before the school trip, because I guess that's what you do. That's actually like kind of the opposite. I feel like what you do on school trips are just like, I'm going to hang out with all my friends, but I guess that's not what they're doing here. I don't know. The typical like sneak off at night.

Don't get caught by the teacher rendezvous. Like they probably all are like, this is my chance to do all those typical shamanigans that lovers do or something. Yeah, but it's like it sounds like people are getting in relationships just now. You know what I mean? It's not like this is the like existing ones. Like people are doing it for that purpose. Summer vacation. Oh, like unauthentically kidding together. Yeah. That's what's all going on in this episode. Kanto trying. Not really.

He's not really trying. Hardly. He just has to be in a lot of scenes with Ioni so that we can make this ship pay off later. So he's just going to be in scenes with her. Ioni asks Chizu if she's going to hang out with Ryu during the other two during the off hours. And she's like, why would I do that? And Ioni's like, well, if Andy and you, we go off alone and Sawako and Kazehaya go off alone and then you go alone off with Ryu, that leaves just me and Joe. So you need to not do that.

Nightmare scenario. She's like, hey, don't go planning dating Ryu. OK. And she's just like, yeah, all right, fine. God. Then she's then Ioni is like jokes aside. Has anybody been going on in the romance front? She's you and she thinks about Ryu, but doesn't say anything. And she's just like, what is it? Ioni is like, what is it? And she's just like, no, I've only ever liked Toru. So that's it. Nothing's happening. Nothing's happening. She's Ioni. Ioni's on door, though. Yeah, maybe. Maybe.

Castoring her for an answer. Why? Why? I think she's just bored. Yes, that too. Ioni asks the girls what they said when they confessed. They told the guys that they confessed. I mean, this is Toru and Kazehaya that they liked them. And Ioni is like, huh, that's pretty straightforward. And they're like, well, yeah. Well, what do you say? When you do it? And she's like, oh, I've never really liked anyone before. So they always just confessed to me.

And they're like, oh, but like, do you want a boyfriend? Right. And she's like, yeah, I just haven't met any like any like good guys. So, you know, whatever, just let them confess or cares. They're like, OK. Passengers. Kent shows up. Passive. That's right. Kento shows up. But he says that he's single if she's interested. And she's like, nah, I'm good. And then he's like, oh, well, OK. And then he says hi to Sotoko. And he's like, hey, you've been looking happy. And she's like, oh, yeah.

And like she smiles like a creepy smile because he's like, you smile. And she does a creepy smile. And Kazai hi, it shows up. And he's like, what is happening? Back off. I'm a smile woman. Yeah. Then the five of them walk home while Chizu and Ioni wonder how Kent's worm to their way into their friend group somehow. While walking, they all pass a guy who calls out to Ioni and asks to speak with her. She's like, I don't know you, man. And he's like, all right, fine. I'll say it here.

And he asks her out, but also says that she probably doesn't know who he is. He's Mogi from Class B. And he's the guy she bumped into at the beginning of the episode. He's like, yeah, we can start dating to get to know each other on the school trip. And Ioni just kind of is like, yeah, all right, cool. And just agrees. Why? Everybody is surprised by this. That's because they're all fully invested in romance and establishing relationships.

So I feel like this is also a normal or seemingly a thing that happens where it's just like, let's just date and then get to know each other. There's like an option there, which is so not the case here in West Yeah, I mean, this is like a departure for what people normally do. But this is like a normal thing that people do in real life, right? Somewhat. From what? Marbly, it would be like a date. It'd be like you just go on a date with them. Yeah, this is like a high school version of that.

Yeah, yeah. Or it's more formal. Yeah, I wouldn't have picked this guy. The trip begins. They go through airport security, get on the plane. The girls are all sitting next to each other. They see Andy and you sitting next to each other. So I guess that's confirmed. Cause I had given Sawako a poke, a candy, which is like a little stick candy. And she eats it out of his hand and he gets all embarrassed. And she's like, did I do that? I should have not done that. And he's like, no, it's good.

Ioni and Cheesy, you get up to give them some space. And Ioni, like walking through the aisles, runs into Mogie and they start talking. So Cheesy was like, well, I'm leaving. So she sneaks away. She runs into Kento, who's like, dang, I guess like I kind of thought Ioni might date me, but like, I guess she's hitting it out with Mogie. That's kind of weird. And she's just like, yeah, I guess they are. And then she's like, do things usually move this quick?

And Kento's like, yeah, that's like not that normal. But don't worry, like anything could happen at this phase. Cheesy, she's like, you don't need to comfort me. Cause I, cause I high asked Sawako about Mogie and saw her get to flashback where they asked Ioni why she agreed to date this guy. And she's like, I don't know, maybe it'll make the trip more fun, probably. This is this is she's very blasé attitude about it. Yeah, it's dirt. They arrive in Okinawa. It's tropical.

They get to the hotel and the girls share a room. It's November, but it's tropical. Oh, I on the plane when Ioni is talking to Mogie, he like takes out what are supposed to be earbuds, but it looks like a stethoscope is taking off. It's weird. Oh, really? I did not notice that. Yes. Because it's like got the earbuds with the cables, but then there's like a connecting cable under the chin. It's really weird. Oh, I did not notice that. That's pretty weird. I kill you. He's just a weirdo.

Ioni asked Sawako if she brought the panties they talked about. And she says that she did. They go downstairs. The boys are there. Ioni calls cause I high like cause I high over and tells them that they all brought panties for the trip, including Sawako, who got side tie panties. And he gets on Bairdice and she lasts while walking away. Then cause I high is surprised. He saw a cold in pants instead of a skirt for no particular reason. Never seen her in pants ever, except for gym pants.

Uh-huh. That's the only reason. OK. Were you asked some what he's thinking about and he tells him to drop it? Seen ends. I don't like this joke very much. I like that Rio jumps into the gag, whatever it is. Yes. I don't know. Ioni is just being a troll. We're at the we're at the like breaking the physical barrier, I guess. So she's making it themed around that. I yeah, this feels like a like a little too far stepping. It should be normal to you with the shows you're watching.

This is freaking what? What shows am I watching? Hold on. What am I watching? Just anything. What do you think I watch? Pants, I don't know. Not you're watching 80s and 90s stuff. There's got to be P&E references. I guess there is like some of that with Gundam, but like mostly it's just like a bunch of weird politics and machines blowing up just way till the wrong one. Half remake's up. And he's everywhere. OK, I never watched that originally. So I don't know.

Anyways, well, we're not done with this. We're not done with this line of reasoning because the girls take a bath and Ioni tell Salako that women's underwear are not just for themselves. There are other uses and she's who's like, what are you talking about? And Salako thinks that this is an adult conversation. I'm going to be real Salako. This is probably the most juvenile conversation you guys have had thus far.

We know Salako like they don't show anything, but it's so clear that she's like Lassie Patsy next to these two. Right. Right after the episode, where Kazehaya's kid brother points it out. That's OK, because she's the only one with a boyfriend. Oh, that's true. No, that's not true. I have a boyfriend. OK, yeah. Well, we'll see if we can last through the episode. Cheezoo asks if Ioni is going to hang out with Mogie and she's like, yeah, I'm going to hang out with him during free time.

Then she's like, Salako, you should hang out with Kazehaya during free time so you can like advance your relationship. And she's like, oh, OK. And then Cheezoo pieces together. That means that she's going to be alone with Ryu and Joe and is mad about it. I'd be mad about being with Joe. Yeah, they all hate him. Everybody hates him. I like don't. I'm like, is this guy your friend, Kazehaya? I don't think so. My proximity to closer.

Salako asks if this is an appropriate time to have a heart to heart. And they're like, yeah, I guess. And then Salako kind of bashfully asks Ioni when she first like started liking Mogie. And she's just like, wait, what? You actually like this dude? And Ioni is like, oh, yeah, man, sure. Oh, man. Totally. Oh, boy. Awkward. Salako. Come on, buddy. You got to be a little bit. She's so she's so like, oh, you're dating someone now. It probably was just like when I did in Kazehaya, right?

It's like nobody else had that experience. Dear. They exit the bath and run into Ryu and Kazehaya at the vending machine, Ryu hands Chizu a Coke and is like, you want this, right? And she's like, no, I'm going to choose what I want from the vending machine. And she looks over it for a while, but until she decides that. Yeah, actually, she does want a Coke and he hands it to her and tells her that she could buy a ice cream later and then they walk off.

Kazehaya buys Salako some tea and tells her that it's free of charge this time. You don't have to pay me back. Ioni teases him and Kazehaya tells her that she pisses him off, which is the most explicit he's been. Well, yeah, she's taking it over the line. Panty line. It's too far. Uh-huh. This is a show, Joe, people. Oh, yeah, girls are never like this. It's to be proper and boring or whatever. I was in high school. You need to fix that. You need to be rowdy. I can retroactively fix that.

Go back in time and stop yourself. Now it's for the best. Back in the boys room, Joe is asking Kazehaya, about his love life and he is not having it. Then there's a knock on the door and some girl from Class C is here to see Ryu. The scene ends and it's the next morning and Salako is all excited to be on a trip with her friends. Kazehaya says out loud that Joe was insufferable. So I guess everybody hates him now. We never like the class goes on a bus tour.

And they have a hot tour guide that pin hits on. It's a very tight fit outfit. I think she could. It is a tight fit outfit. That's larger size. No, that's part of the tour. They go to the aquarium during picture time. Kazehaya drives Salako or drag Salako over to stand next to each other and they get a group picture together. Then Salako takes a bunch of pictures of everybody as they look at the fish in the aquarium. And this aquarium is crazy.

I like it's like it's like the fish tank has so much depth. It just like goes on forever. It's like I've never seen something have that much depth. It's crazy. Yeah, I don't know. Salako takes a yeah. Kazehaya snaps a few pictures of her, some like Candidth and she wants to take a picture of him, but gets all embarrassed. Eventually, she works up the courage to get a picture of him while he's posing and it's cute. And then she's able to get some good candidates of him. And it's like he did it.

And he's taking photos. So maybe the key change she got him is actually suitable. Or it's just that's true. Camera, photos, sock and everyone has to have a camera when they go on vacation. That could also be. It does feel like everybody had like a camera, like a dedicated camera, like not disposable cameras like I would. Oh, like real expensive. Yeah. And it's one point. Joe says that man to lay that man to rail. It's just like me, which is incredible. I love this kid.

Not actually, but that's a really good line. Yeah, they gave them the same face, just little line eyes and yeah. He's so hilarious in this one moment. They leave. They're on the play or they're on the bus back and she's got a big push of a big fish. It's cute. It's one of the whale shark plushies. One of the whale sharks. So cute. The girls all compare photos and Sawako is happy that she's part of every that she's now part of everyone's memories. They go to a seaside viewpoint, I guess.

Pinn sees a girl with a parasol and he like rolls up on her and tries to hit on her. But then it turns out it's on a and he freaks out. Well, it's because the tour guide had a parasol in there outside the. Oh, that's right. I go look at some manatees and she's like, oh, now I've seen that before. So it looks very similar to her umbrella. So that's why he thought it was her. OK, he's like, oh, my God, why are you wearing her? Why do you have a parasol? And she's like, I'm protecting my skin.

Also shut up and go away. And then she just turns and leaves. You tell him. Later, the girls are walking to the beach from the hotel. They hear something and turn to see Karumi being harassed by some boy as she runs past them. They're like, what's what's going on with that? And then Takahashi, who's like the one of the girls in her class, shows up with a little notebook and tells them that Karumi has gained a reputation of being sassy and outspoken, which has gained her many admirers.

Apparently like eight guys have asked her out this year. So good. I don't know if that's good or bad. It sounds like it's not great. Bad, bad, bad. Yeah, but, you know, whatever it is, Karumi spotting, you know, good enough. Cameo, Karumi cameo. That's fine. Just do anything else in this episode. We've seen her ever. Yeah, she's running. This episode is doing a good job of just giving us a little bit of everybody. Like this is. Yeah, we got some flavor.

And season two is like, let's rotate between the characters. Getting some nice, some nice flavor. The girls play on the beach, which consists of digging into a big pile of sand or something. I don't know what they're doing. Maybe they're going to bury one of them. It looks like they're making a sandcastle, but like instead of there forever. I get. But it's like they're so far from the actual beach, like coast, like the actual water and like it's just a big dome of sand.

And they're just like digging out little pockets in it. Like they're building a sandcastle, but like by taking sand away as opposed to putting it on, it's very odd. It's more like sand sculpture. I guess they're all doing it together. I don't know. They're talking about like who's popular in class and like would get asked out or whatever. And then Joe runs up and tells him that Ryu got asked out yesterday and Ryu smacks him on the head.

And Joe then explains that he rejected her and Shizu thinks to herself that Ryu didn't want to tell her that this happened. And she's like kind of miffed off about it. Even though she's been like, I know there's like there's been like an opportunity to do that. Kazahaya and Salako hang out by the shore, but Kazahaya is haunted by the words of the dads that he got about being a good boyfriend and not being and keeping his hands to himself. Don't be indecent. Be proper. And don't be indecent.

And he is an agony. So that's his thing, this episode. I guess that's why panties were dropped into the storyline because he's just he's a teenage boy. He's a he's a nice, he's a nice Christian boy. Who is a Christian, but is basically that listening to skillet. Can you take me higher? He does not listen to greed. Don't think so. He's listening to that. No, he's not. When he's taking a cold shower. OK. Let's think.

Kento and Ionay see them on the shore and he's being weird and they're like, what are they doing? Then Mogi comes up to confirm the date time with Ionay. And she's like, yeah, and then they leave. We got tonight time where Ionay and Mogi are making out of the palm. Trees, their date ends and Ionay looks dissatisfied as she walks back to her room. She runs into Pin, who tells her to go to bed. And then she chastises him for just like spending the whole trip

hitting on women. And he's like, whatever. And then he chugs a beer in the most cartoonish way I've ever seen somebody chug a beer when he's pouring it into his mouth. She asks him if he's ever been in love and he's like, what? I mean, of course I have. And then she's like, oh, and runs off. Oh, poor Ionay. Is really she's like surrounded by people who've been all lovey-dovey. So she's like she's like a normal person that's stuck in a romance TV show.

She's we're learning things about her finally. Even if it's finally gets something life and not her actually as an individual. It's something. Well, this is this is kind of part of the problem, right? Where everything like revolves around the idea of romance and nothing revolves around like the actual like making human connections with other people. Well, it is a show job. And that's typically I know. But like this is the thing. We're lucky we didn't get any of that other stuff at all.

This isn't my criticism of the show or the genre. I'm just saying that like part of the problem why she doesn't feel anything is because like it like like her criticism of Mogie later on is basically like he never like asks me anything. It's just kind of there. Yeah, people aren't interested. They're just interested in going through the motions of romance instead of like actually being interested in the people around you. Yeah.

Yeah. Back in the room, Ioni tells the girls about the date and they freak out that she kissed him and she's like that's not a big deal. Guys, it's the first kiss we've seen. She's like anyway, first kiss on screen was Ioni was some guy on the entirety of this whole podcast. This is the first kiss we've seen. Sting us. Oh my gosh, you're right. Isn't it taking a long time to get here? Yeah, you're right. Wow. Yeah, she's like, it's not a big deal.

Anyway, you're going to kiss guys I hire soon, right? So like it's fine. And so it goes as there's no way. But Ioni is like, no, you will. This is going to happen. And then Salako asks very seriously if her heart will explode when she does. Which is freaking out. They're like, oh, freaking. There's just a gun. What? Well, it's just like double it down on like the securities Ioni is having of like, oh, see, like even just the thought of it makes me so excited.

Whereas I felt like nothing doing the thing. Yeah, just rubbing, rubbing dirt in that wound. Salako dreams about kissing Kasi Hyab, who gets freaked out and wakes up. She's like, it was just a dream. I don't have to worry about this. A nightmare. Ah, kind of a nightmare, but not really. It's nothing bad happened. Next, the next day, they go to like a tourist place, I guess, where you do like traditional old timey stuff.

Salako gets tricked by the other girls into doing painting with Kasi Hyab alone. So just the two of them while they're doing this, they talk about what souvenirs they can get their dads, which is not something I would talk about if I was a high schooler on a trip. Well, she's not a typical high schooler and he's dating her. So by proxy, he's not going to be talking about normal stuff. That's true. Kasi Hyab finishes painting his statue and it looks really good.

Salako's looks cursed because she like painted black around the eyes. Like, why'd you do that? They give each other theirs as a gift or I guess Kasi Hyab wants her is so he like gives her his and she gives his hers. And she's like, you sure you want this? It's like, not good. Finally has something to put in his room. Finally. Oh, yes. There we go. They pass a fortune stall and draw lots. Salako gets great luck in her fortune, says to tell someone special to her that you love them.

She thinks about it. Like, hmm, what if I said that in the form of pushing, pushing my lips into their lips? Hmm. The girls meet back up and she's who shows Salako some of like the goat milk they got from whatever station they went to. She's like, check it out. We got goat milk and Salako's like, what? I don't go to taste bad or it's weird. So I feel like goat milk must be. And maybe it's good. Might be intense. I've never had it. I don't know.

A bunch of girls roll up on Chizu and they're like, hey, we got to talk to you. And she's like, what? And they're like, are the main girls like, how do you feel about Ryu? She's who's like, what? You think you could just walk up to me and ask me some vague ask question? And the girl's like, all right, well, I asked him out, but he said that he like somebody else. And since like you two always hang out together, I kind of figured it was like you that he liked.

And she's who's like, what is this to you? Also, why'd you bring all your friends? You loser? What are you afraid? I love this energy Chizu is giving like, yes, yes, you don't owe them anything. It's very funny because it's like she's just being kind of like stern and like I on a and Salchow are like, oh, geez, she's really going at it. But like, she's kind of just like, this is kind of just how you should react. If somebody did this, like, yeah, she's right.

Like, why are you just rolling up on me with your crew and acting like asking me some personal stuff like, like, I know you. I don't know you. Yeah. The girl says that she came to say that she shouldn't hang around him if she doesn't feel this way. And she tells her that it's not for business and also like go away. And then that makes her the girl cry and she runs off. Scram. Yeah, I'll get out of your kid. Yeah. I don't know you. She's such an airhead.

I have a reputation for fighting a hundred people. She just stores up all that mental energy confrontations and exerts it all as nothing left for her day to day. Later that night, Ayane has another date and leaves. And her outfit is super freaking cute. Very stylish. Oh, yeah. Her like dress. It's like it's almost like this goucho pants that are popular back in the day. But like the top, it's like a one piece thing. And it's got big bow in the front. Super cute. It is pretty cool.

She's who also decides to go off on her own. She's like, I'm out downstairs. Kento sees Ayane wearing a dress and he's like, oh, you got another date. And she's like, yep. And he says, he's like, oh, I'm he's like, I'm jealous. I wish I had like a girlfriend to go out on a day with. And then she points to his entourage of girls and is like, what about them? And he's like, well, they're like not my girlfriends. They're just they're just girls I hang out with. Then he asks her what Mogie's like.

He's like, yeah, like what do you guys talk about? And she says she thinks about it for a second. And then she's like, I don't have to tell you anything. Can't laugh and tells her to have fun. And this was like the most genuine interaction. I feel like he's had with anybody thus far. Yeah, he's he's well, she's normally the love guru. So since she's the one doing it, he has to kind of be the one to gently overlook and wait for when he needed.

Well, I think he did like like he definitely knows that she doesn't is not into this guy, particularly. So he's just like, oh, like, what do you guys do? Like that's that's interesting, right? Like, I do think he's just kind of bored and just like hanging out now. Like, I don't think he's being he has like an ulterior motive. Oh, yeah, he's just curious. That's good. Yeah. This this part works for me. It's fine.

Moke and Aonai go on another date. He mostly just seems to want to make out with her, but she stops him. Space bomb. Space bomb. Yeah. We cut to Chizu, who goes outside and runs into Ryu. She turns to walk away and he's like, why are you acting weird? She tells him or she asks him why he didn't tell her about the girl who asked him out last night. And he says that it didn't involve her. So like, why would I tell you that?

She gets mad and says that the girl talked to her because you said that you like someone else and Ryu turns to her and asks if she's curious about who he likes. She pauses for a sec and then says, no, it's not her business. And then she leaves. Storms off. Storms off. Like real mad. Like, yeah. Well, that's her like defense mechanism to get out of talk. He's just to pretend she's too mad to talk. Sawako is about to head out.

But she has Aonai's phone because Aonai left it behind when she went on her date. She runs into Kazehaya, who has been waiting for her to like come out. He says he really wanted to see her. And so he's been waiting here for a long time. She feels she's feeling something. So she sits next to him and gets really close and looks maybe like, you know, she could like touch his shoulders. She could maybe lead him for a kiss. Her heart beats going crazy as they look at each other.

If he puts his heart beat sound, they used. I didn't like it was too much. Like you. It's a little too. One. Yeah. Yeah, it's like a little too hard. It's like, are you OK? It's like the heartbeat you're about to get when you're about to go to cardiac arrest or something. Yeah, not like a cute doki doki like dot, dot, dot, dot. Yeah. Oh, no. Yeah. This is not her heart fluttering. That blood is pumping. Yeah. I like it. This might actually be a nightmare. She could be OK.

He puts his hand on her cheek and tells her to close her eyes. He leans in and then Aonai comes down the stairs. They both both of them had their eyes open. They both look at her. They freak out and she's like, yeah, they freak out. And she's like, I'm sorry. And she's like, yeah, I just came here because I forgot my phone and saw who gives it to her. And then she's like, all right, cool. So I'm leaving now. Y'all can continue. But Kazahaya is not going to continue.

And he says that he's going to go to bed and runs off. I only tells him not to worry about it. He's not going to tell anybody or anything. So it's cool. And then she apologizes to Salco. Oh, my God. Poor Kazahaya. Like, I just heard everything happening in their relationship. Nothing to say. It's fine. He should just he should just have confidence in his relationship. It's his first relationship as far as we know. So yeah, it's OK. Well, we can't they got dragon on.

We can't just get what we want. We can't just get it. That's true. This is fine. Yes, it's fine. We get a flashback to the end of Ionai's date where she stopped him from kissing her. Basically, what happened is she noticed her phone was gone and then left. They walk back to the room and they find cheese who's sitting in the dark pondering things. They're like, dang, it seems like you're worked up and she's like, what do you mean? They're like, you're drinking like super sugary drinks, dude.

And she's like, I am. Yeah, it's like the dad who's waiting for the parents or the kid to come home after curfew where they're saying the dark, like brooding kind of the vibe she was giving. Yeah. Salco feels bad that she left cheese alone when she knew that she was feeling sad. Cosy Hight gets back to his room to see that it's empty, but it looks like Ryu is out there on the balcony. So he goes out there and asks him what's up.

Ryu basically doesn't say anything, but he also is drinking a drink that's very sweet without noticing it. Cosy Hight is like, why are you drinking sweet stuff? He don't like that. He's like, dude, I thought this was water, which is very funny. Yeah. They all go to sleep. While Salco thinks about her almost kiss, it's the next day, the free day where you could do whatever you want all day, I guess. Chizu, Ryu and Joe go off together and Iane sets out alone to meet up with Mogie.

We learned that Salco got bad sleep because she was trying to figure out how to let Chizu tag along with him without like messing everything up, messing up everyone else's plans, you know, trying to finesse it, but she couldn't figure it out. So it didn't happen. Cosy Hight comes up to Salco and is like, you're ready to go, but he says it super stiffly because he's still awkward about their almost kiss. They walk off like robots and Penn looks over and is like, what is wrong with you two?

Cosy Hight says nothing is wrong with him. And then Penn is like, listen, man, you got to keep it clean. Oh, my God. Whatever you're doing out there, you got to keep it clean, which is very funny. Poor Cosy Hight. I cannot get a break. I run my own business. My God. Kent says hi to Iane. She walks past him on her way to her date. She is not excited for her date and can't notices, but doesn't say anything. Cosy Hight and Salco walk around the city. Takahashi runs into them.

She's like, oh, hey, why are you all so tense? Like, you guys are being weird. Did you guys take a picture together? There's like a really good spot to take a picture together over there. And Cosy Hight is like, no, it's cool. We're just going to walk around with the talk. Oh, she's like, come on, man, what's wrong with you? You got to make your girl happy. Take the photo. It's a cause I hide like, yes, of course, I will make my girl happy. Let's go take the photo.

We get a cut to Cosy Hight and Salco sticking with their head in like cardboard cutouts, like really tacky cardboard cutouts. And like face to the whole Takahashi. Yes, Takahashi is about to take a picture of them. But then she gets distracted by another couple, because I guess her thing is collecting couple gossip and her little notebook. But luckily, Pin was right there and he gets to take a picture of them. And he's like, this is the best day of my life.

I guess take a dumb picture of Cosy Hight and his girlfriend. That's great. Good pin content this episode. I own it. We cut to I own it. Who was on a lame date. Mogi runs into some of his friends and she's like, you can go hang out with them for a little bit. I'm just going to let go shop or whatever. I'll meet up with you later elsewhere. Cheezoo is also not having a good time. She, Ryu and Joe go to like a market and Joe is really excited to see all the cuts of fish.

Cheezoo hates him, but at least it's not just her and Ryu. Ryu says he's surprised that she came at all. What? Those seem fun or exciting. Going to a market. No, it's stupid. Why did they go there? I'm sure Joe is like, oh, we can see the dead fish. I mean, he's into it. So good for him. You know, listen, he's one of the only people having a good time. That's true. Ryu says he's surprised that Cheezoo came at all.

And she yells at him saying that she's only came because she didn't want to mess up Sobako or Ayane's dates. They're like a little awkward for a second. So then Ryu makes Cheezoo buy him ice cream as a makeup for the Coke from yesterday. We cut to the three of them sitting on a bench together, eating their ice cream with Ryu on one side and Cheezoo on another and Joe in the middle. Cheezoo is just legs wide open, not sitting very ladylike. Yeah, she's wearing pants. It's fine.

You can do that when you wear pants. Got her arm around Joe. You can do that when you're pissed off. Yeah, she's like slumping on the on the bench like I'm I'm fully leaning back. Let's see. Joe turns to Ryu and asks him, like, for real, why did you reject that girl last night? Is there someone you like? And Ryu is like, yes, there is someone I like, but I'm not going to tell you Joe because it's none of your business. Cheezoo's sulks.

She thought she knew everything about Ryu, but had to learn he'd like someone from some random girl that got mad at her for it. It's not fair because like he knew that she like Toru. But I guess when she thinks about it, that's just a thing she he like figured out. She never like specifically told him that. But then she doubts their relationships and think maybe that it is really none of her business and she she she she does not care.

Joe gets up to get more ice cream and then he sees some of his classmates and starts to harass her and they like run away from him. Ryu offers some ice cream to Cheezoo and she eats it just like just just gobbles it. She asked him if he's fine with the fact that she yelled at him. She's like, yeah, I yelled at you yesterday, but you're just going to ask like nothing happened. And he says that he was happy that she wanted to know who he liked.

He's like in the reason because the one that I liked was always you, Cheezoo. We cut away from that. Iade returns to find the guys talking about how far he's gotten with. And no, he hasn't hasn't gotten with her. She like chastises him somewhat and he apologizes, but she doesn't know the way they'll like she kind of is checked out of this whole thing. She says it's fine, but she doesn't want to date him anymore. And then she starts to walk away.

Mogi calls after her and asks her what it is she wanted to talk about. And we get a flashback of when she stopped him from kissing her. And we learn that she told him that she was sorry for yesterday elsewhere. Kento, Siro, and the girls are walking around. Kento turns to see Iade sitting in like a roadside alley, kind of like just hanging out on like some side road. He breaks off from his group to go see her. He asked why she's alone. And Iade says she broke up with Mogi.

He asked her what happened. And she thinks to herself that she should have known that that guy clearly sucks. She tells Kento that it's fine. Nothing really happened. And then she thinks back to when Sawako asked her when she started liking Mogi and how the real answer was that she never started liking him. Because obviously Iade asks Kento if he's ever liked any of the girls he's dated and he's like, yeah, I wouldn't have dated them if I didn't.

What? And Iade says that's funny because she's never liked any of the guys she dated really, at least not in the way that Sawako or Chizu have liked the people in her lives or their lives. She thought maybe that she could find some of the happiness that they got. But I guess she was wrong. And then she starts crying. Ken Kento gives her a hug. Have a nice little scene. Yeah, that was nice. That was pretty good. This works. This part works. This is the way you have to sell it.

I guess it's, you know, it's all right. It's pretty good. When I'm crying, I need them to crack a joke to help break the tension. I need them to make a bad joke or else I'm just going to cry. Yeah. Humor is the best. He's good. She's like, why are you saying anything and that he hugs her? And it's like, that's pretty good. Yeah. Yep. Yeah. Well. Well, anyway, trips over and it's time to leave. Pin got rejected by their tour guide and he's ready to bounce. Yeah. Poor pin. Poor pin.

Taking the biggest L out of everyone here. Actually, that's not true. That's not true. Kento looks over at Ayane. We get some shots of Cheez-In Ryu and then we get the scene after he told her that he liked her. We learned that she says that she never looked at Ryu that way. And Ryu says that he knows. That's the voice of her from Saloko. Oh, we get a voice over from Saloko saying it's a new season for everyone as we cut to credits. Oh, dude, Ryu. My man.

That. Yeah. I mean, I guess I guess you will. Well, it was it was not a good thing to say in that moment. I don't feel like. What? But he likes her. No, for her to say in the moment. Well, she's not much of a thinker. Is she? No, not really. Not not not the best thing to say. So good in that other situation. So bad in this one. So bad. So what do you think about the episode? I liked it. This is good. Yeah, a lot of cute drawings. Yeah, there's a lot going on.

So this makes it feel like it's worth it to have an hour long episode. Whereas the other one, it was only a few things happen. It was only those two characters, really. So this one felt a lot more dynamic. Yeah. And also, it just felt the quality felt really good. Like I was a little worried from last episode, because there weren't as many like gags. So I kind of felt like, oh, or did Netflix like or, I don't know, whoever made this, are we cheaping out in the streaming era?

It can get hour long because somehow like this is going to be really cheap. But no, I felt the animation looked really good. I thought the had a lot of little gags and jokes and stuff like that. Yeah, I was I was very pleased with this episode. I delivered. We got our first kiss. We got another forehead touched between Casa. Hi, I'm Solico. Well, that one was more was better because it was about to be something else. Oh, my gosh, I know they're going to be awkward.

That's going to be their thing now. That's pretty. That's pretty good. It's like trying to be intimate, but they're both scared of it. I feel like it's just going to be the fact that I only has to walk down. What? Oh, no, go on. The fact that I only has to walk down the stairs from her shitty day and see her like best friend not really be able to kiss this guy and be like, oh, I guess I ruined that moment. Just whatever. Yeah. Oh, man, brutal.

Got a baby them as they have babies first relationship. Yeah. Yeah, they're getting a lot more help in their situation than most people ever do in any relationship ever. Yeah, I really like the irony contrast of like, yeah, you can just do stuff and it's not like you just make out with somebody. It's not a big deal. Like it's not. But it can be also not particularly meaningful. Yeah. Yeah. What do we think about the IAE stuff? Do you want to start with that?

Yeah. I mean, I'm glad we're getting anything to how there wasn't any IAE, Karumi content. I guess that hope is died. I mean, that was never happened. It would have just been good if it did, you know. Uh-huh. I am worried about Karumi, though. It seems like she's got some stockers or something happening. What is going on with that? That was a weird thing to do. Like, yeah. Oh, it's like she's surrounded by 100 Joe's chasing her. That's like the worst thing ever.

Not the best place to land on that. No, hopefully she that settles down. I because I feel like it's going to be everyone's going to be awkward now. IAE is going to be like, she'll either be closer to Kent or feel kind of weird around him because he saw her so vulnerable and she doesn't really show that side. Obviously, Sawako and Kazuhara are going to be awkward as hell. And then Chizu and Ryu is going to be like the silent treatment. I feel like, well, Chizu decides to figure it out.

And I guess Ryu is just going to wait it out like he always has. Maybe have a less passive, maybe. Who? Or maybe what do you think? If you think Chizu is going to tell the girls that he said that, that he saw that. Yeah, I think I think I feel like she'll keep it to herself for a while, but she eventually will. Yes. What do you think? How do you think she's going to respond when then Sawako already knew that? I don't think Sawako is going to reveal that. You don't think so?

Unless they actually it not if she's like doubting everything. Like if Chizu doesn't seem to see in a positive way, I don't think Sawako is going to say anything about it. Uh huh. Yeah. I like the IAE stuff. I think first off, IAE is me. This is the problem I've always had with romance is that I just don't really feel much. Oh, that's depressing. Same, same girl. It happened. Listen, I know what it's like, you know, sometimes you like there are people that like you and you're like, why?

And sometimes you're just like, yeah, like, you know, you'll go on dates with people and it's like fine. And you're just like, I mean, like, yeah, we keep hanging out. Sure, whatever. Like real indifference towards the stuff happening. That has been much of my life. So I feel like this is great. Oh, yes. So as we learn how she overcomes it, you will then overcome it as well.

Well, I'm a little bit worried about that because like the thing I don't want to have happen is we get the because I feel like I'm really boring if it's like, oh, but then there's Ken, then she just falls in love with Ken and she gets the thing everybody wants, right? Because I do feel like a certain extent of what is being like like the thing that she wants is like the the feelings that Sawako has. But that is a Sawako kind of specific thing, right?

Like that is not a that is not something everybody can feel. You know what I mean? Lifetime of feelings all at once. That she's been. Yeah. But it's also just like that kind of idealized romance is not a thing that's accessible to everybody because that's just not how everybody reacts to things.

And so I think I do actually really like the plot line of somebody wants the like the, you know, romantic cinematic love story, but it just isn't going to happen because it's just not how they feel about things. And then what do you do with that? So I'm actually extremely interested to see where this goes. Because I think that is a really fun thing to touch on, especially in contrast to what else like this show has presented.

Because like if I only just get another relationship that ends up being like Sawako's, I'm going to find that to be very unsatisfying in terms of like there are various ways that you can experience romance and it's not going to be, you know, getting butterflies and rapid heartbeats for everybody. Some people are just going to be more relaxed about it. Well, I guess we have the three or so three possible pairings. I would assume they're all going to be different.

So yeah, it'll be interesting to see what approach they take for them. I just it's going to be good. Like I like that it's not going to be like, and now cheese is going to get her storybook ending. And now Iona is going to get like, you know, I mean, like the format's going to be a little bit different. It's going to be a little bit messier. Yeah, I feel like we need to learn more about Kent as a person before they can become a thing. So I think it'll be some time.

I don't know if it'll be concluded within this season. I wonder if what the I feel like I've seen stuff on cameo to doke online. So I don't know if that means it's being well received and it will get another season or not. I don't know. I guess it'll depend on where this ends. I mean, I do like how Jesus attitude or not Jesus attitude towards Ken is basically just like relative indifference to the most part, because I guess that's just the way she kind of feels about a lot of people.

Yeah. So that's good. I liked I like the Iona stuff a lot in this episode. Yes. And this is all. I don't know what's going on with her. I mean, it was going on with her. She doesn't know what's going on. She really wants she she feels entitled to understanding his love life, but then doesn't want to be a part of it necessarily. Well, she just is like we've been friends and we just know everything. But like if they're not friends, then she doesn't know everything.

So like, do you want to just be friends and know things or not? And then you don't get to know the things that you want to know. You got to you can't have them both ways. Yeah, but like I do think, you know, I think they probably will end up together as a relationship, but I do think it's interesting to explore like other types of intimate relationships you can have, not intimate, like physically, but like emotionally intimate relationships.

You can have somebody else that aren't necessarily romantic in nature. Like I think that would be interesting to explore. I don't think we're going to that much, but we'll see. Like the acknowledgement that you can have different types of relationships in your life or like different types of interactions.

And it's not just like, well, if you're not in love with this person, romantically, you can't ever share ice cream or, you know, learn their morning routine or something like, I think that's good to acknowledge that you can have different types of relationships with different type of people. It's not just romance, like television wants you to know. Yeah, sweet. Be good. Yeah. So good start episode, excited for next week. That's right. Who do you think took the biggest L this episode?

Was it Pin? Was it Ryu? Was it Kazehaya? Yeah. Was it Ioni? I think it was Ioni. Just because hers was the most like depressing pin, whatever. That's just every day for him taking L's. That's true. Ryu is just taking L's lesson, right? I was assuming Ryu has like anticipated such a reaction from Chizu because he knows her so well, so it's not like unexpected. He was so resigned in that interaction. Yeah. You know what I mean? He's just like, yeah, I know.

Yeah. So. She's like, oh, shit, man, that sucks. I do feel bad for Kazehaya because everyone's too so reactive and like he's just like, let the kid figure it out. Like leave them be. My God. Yeah. But he's like so innocent, like I totally get like, yeah, we should boy this kid. He's like ridiculous. It's like a character. Popular. You would assume he has more experience with girls and would be more familiar with the whole thing, but he's not.

So it's like it. But but people have that rapport with him as if he was. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Good stuff. Good stuff. I'm looking forward to the next episode. One of these episodes is like 70 minutes or something. Crap. OK. Yeah. Next one, 64 minutes called Girlfriend and Boyfriend. Another one that's 72 minutes. And then we're almost done. OK. Nice. Well, sweet. Want to want to jump into our recommendations of the week I have my at the ready. All right. I don't.

So go for it. OK. I'm going to recommend a show, Joe Manga that does not have an anime. And I feel like is a little obscure. I think I only found it because I found it at like a half price books or something. And this like has a old library card check out thing. And like the last due date was February 20th, 2006. So this thing is like all banged up and stickered up and stuff.

But the the manga is called Land of the Blindfolded by Sakuba Sakura and the let's see, the little synopsis dealie says, a high school girl has the power to see glimpses of the future. Now she must learn how to live in a world of people blindfolded to everything but present. Is it a gift or a curse? She sees glimpses of a person's future. But when she glimpses the unfortunate incident coming, can she or should she change it and then a new classmate of hers can see the past?

So she's like encountering someone else. These similar similar abilities, but kind of a different approach to it because she's been fretting and he's more resigned and stuff. But it is good. I mean, the art style almost feels like you would toss a it's which is like the artist of Fushigi Yugi and like absolute boyfriend and stuff. Kind of like, I don't know, lighter tones and but the guy is super cute. And we've got a protagonist like with short hair, which is a nice change.

And cool kind of, you know, I don't know, is this future past stuff, sci fi or fantasy future past? What do you mean? Like seeing like visions of the future or seeing people's past? What genre does that put it in? I mean, sci fi and fantasy are like pretty similar. So that's more fantasy, I guess, if it's not like connected to like a mechanism.

Gotcha. OK, so it's like fantasy school life, like a little bit of trauma sprinkled in, although annoying thing about these old manga is that they always have like these freaking short stories from the author that aren't relevant to the book you purchased. And then like a fifth of the book is this crap, nothing to do with what you purchased it for. So annoying. So annoying. You don't like it? No, it's like all the manga now are super skinny, way skinnier than they used to be.

But yeah, land of the blindfolded. If you like just kind of a drama, show Joe romance of pretty art, recommend it this week, keeping it show Joe themed. And now Joe's going to give us not that. This is recommendation. Not that. I'm going to recommend a movie. I don't think I've recommended. I'm going to recommend the Dungeons and Dragon movie on or among thieves. Oh, I've seen that. I didn't I didn't watch this in theaters. I watched this at my sister's place with my sister and brother-in-law.

And it surprisingly, a very competent, very like fun, like blockbuster movie. It's really good, actually. I thought it was going to be done because I'm like, well, this just feels like like a cynical cash grab movie tie in with the thing. But it turns out no, like we had like it's very well like paced. There's like a lot of good gags. It like does stuff with Dungeons and Dragons, like not. It's not tied bogged down with all of it. Even a reference like all the Baldur's Gate is a thing.

Like, yeah, but like not in an annoying way. Like a lot of movie like this is the type of thing that I usually hate where it's like we're cashing in on our franchise by just throwing too much stuff at it and it's going to wink at the camera all the time. And it's going to be like like I like Guardians of the Galaxy. But I feel like that like ruined a bunch of other movies where people try to do like a version of that, but it sucks. And that's what I thought this was going to be.

And that's not what this is. This is actually really fun and like very like cute, you know, the actors like getting really good performances. Everything's very convincing. I hope this don't make another one. Maybe I don't know how successful this was. I saw in theaters and it was not a packed theater, but I feel like I have seen it well received. I just don't know if it had like financial success, but it does have big actors.

And it's got Chris Pine and that hobby from Bridgeton and the kid from that Detective movie or whatever. Yeah, Hugh Grant's in it. Hugh Grant's in it. Oh, yeah. He's like, OK, that's right. That's right. He's yeah. You look the swarming guy. Yeah, it's good. Yeah, it's fun. It's like a really fun movie. It's like Goofy. It's you know, it looks good. I had a good time.

I got it on Blu-ray because I needed to spend more dollar or spend more money on my Walmart order to get free shipping buying a tube to put my cooler on for the float trip. Oh, it's you so prepare for your friend visit. So I got it. Oh, yeah. OK. Oh, yeah. Fun movie Dungeons and Dragons are among thieves. Noice. Yeah. Have an owl bear and everything. Uh huh. Yeah. Good movie. Yeah. Fun time. Sweet. All right. Well, if you had, you know what else is a fun time.

We've gotten some lovely comments and you can also leave some lovely comments and we read those. It makes my day very much so.

That makes it feel like we're not just talking to ourselves. Right. I mean, because sometimes I don't know. Sometimes it does feel like I'm just talking to myself here. Now you're talking to me. I mean, I'm talking to you. I feel like I'm just talking to you. We're just two gals. Gabby. And I do love talking to you. That's right. But yeah, much appreciated. We love to hear that we're not talking into the void.

The only feedback we get is like the weird whatever like the chart of all stuff where it's like your number whatever in like. Netherland. Why? OK. It's weird. Yeah. Dominating. So that's the most we get unless you interact with us in some way. So please leave comments or, you know, go on the Instagram. I guess that's the main one. I don't know. Is there a three? We have like Tik Tok or something. I don't interact with that. I've been lazy. It's our scares me. Social front.

Yeah, don't get too attached to Tik Tok, I guess is the best approach. Mike had banned in the US, so we won't even have to care. It doesn't I think that's kind of a steam. I haven't heard anything about that. That's true. We'll see. And but yeah, so look, this is a pretty precise, except for my ramblings and about Dragon Age in the beginning. We're like getting to it this week. This was a good episode. Also, I need to eat dinner. Oh, yeah.

I don't want to drag this one out as long as it needs to be. That's right. I need to eat it. It's fine. I'm not like dying. I'm just like not hungry for something. I ate like popcorn earlier because my friend bought microwave popcorn. And so I was like, I'll just eat this at like while I'm watching the show at like six and I'm just not that hungry. But I'm going to eat something. I am I like half prepared my meal before we start recording. So now I'll actually cook it. But actual food.

That's good. It's the Hello Fresh. Yeah, not a sponsor. Wait, do you? Yeah, not a sponsor. Do you not normally eat real food? To all like hot pockets and. Oh my God. Well, I have two. We're not children anymore. What are you doing? I have two meals a week. Yes, that are real food. That's like a step up. Like two meals are like you you make and it's like five meals. Well, each one is like for two people. So I get like leftovers that can be lunch. So that's like four meals. Yeah, yeah, I guess so.

Hey, that's that's better. You should say that instead of I eat two real meals and the rest is just like trash I find in my pantry. Not trash. It's intentionally. I've been eating a lot of Jays lately. OK, I mean, I guess I'm probably going to eat something like that right now. But normally I wouldn't do that. I would eat food that's really proud. I bought a rice maker. Oh, what kind is it? Like a fancy authentic one or just some. Yeah, the one with the elephant on it. Oh, that's the one I have.

So do whatever. Yeah, I love. I can cook brown rice and still cut oats. Cut oats. Good steel cut oats. Yeah. Yeah, so we're going to bounce to go nourish ourselves after a well recorded episode. And we will see you guys next time on show. Joe, you do. Woo. Remember to eat real meals. Yeah, yeah. OK, I'll try. I'm trying. Eat. Don't eat hot pockets. The feeling you're over the age. Of 21. You're done eating hot pockets. You can drink now. You can eat food that isn't that.

I don't want to drink anymore. Drinking just. I guess you can go back to eating hot pockets then. Yeah. Yeah. No, don't do that. OK, bye. Bye.
