S8 EP145: A Story of Resilience From the First Female Commander of Cadets, Featuring Kristin Baker

Ok all you “ten-ers,”  Laurie and Michelle are bringing you a guest and story that exudes the message of resiliency, courage and the importance of supporting and paving the way for other women.

This episode’s guest is Kristin Baker. Kristin is a retired Army Colonel, former Military Intelligence Commander and the first female Commander of Cadets at the United States Military Academy at West Point.  

Kristin has spent over 30 years breaking ground for other women, and it hasn’t been easy.  We will discuss her time at West Point, and the challenges, lessons and scrutiny she faced with that controversial appointment. 

We will have honest dialog about what it meant to embark on a lengthy career in a predominately male environment, battling stereotypes and balancing family commitments.
