41. Stop Letting the Past Define you

So many people let their past control who they are in the present and even who they want to become in the future. The enemy will do everything he can to make you believe you aren’t able to do XYZ because of your past. He will remind you of everyone who told you that you were a failure and mess up. God, however, will tell you a different story. Romans 8:1 “Therefore there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. Listen, friend, Jesus died for OUR sins while we were still sinners. He has seen our past, he sees our present and guess what, he can see our future. He knew we would make mistakes. He loves us anyway. He chooses us in knowing everything about who we are (the good, the bad, the ugly). But you know what, God is so good. He sees who we can be with Jesus. I say all of this to remind you that you are not a lost cause. Your past doesn’t have to define you. No matter what you have done (publicly or privately). God can use it for GOOD. Let's get real!
