20. Reasons Why You Are Not Falling Behind

As I recently announced that Wyatt and I bought a house, I had a moment of remembering what it was like every single day before we bought the house, before we knew what God would provide or when he would... It is SO easy to praise God when things fall into place and you see your prayers come to fruition. It is so HARD to trust God when your life looks nothing like you thought it would. All of us 20-something-year-old people are in a decade where almost all of our friends are either celebrating: Engagements, Marriages, Dream jobs, Success, Babies, or Buying Houses. Let's be clear, you don't have to have a big milestone in your life in order for your life to MATTER. I believed that once I got engaged, got a house, got a good job and then got married that I would finally "have my life together." The hard truth is, is that while all of those things are amazing, they can't fulfill us. Once you check off one, you just simply move on to the next. Do not fall into the lie that your life has to look like your Pinterest board you've been posting on since you were 12. Pinterest and you stand no chance against a God that has an amazing, purpose-filled plan for your life. Just be faithful in the little, everyday things and God will continue to show up in the big, crazy, unexpected ways he always does.
