Lanie's Birth Story

This week we are excited to share Lanie’s birth story about how she brought her (now 5 month old) baby Brinley into the world! Despite being a labour and delivery postpartum and pediatric nurse and advising hundreds of pregnant people, Lanie speaks of being taken by surprise by many aspects of her pregnancy and postpartum journey!

While learning about pregnancy and postpartum doesn’t quite measure up to going through it in person, Lanie stresses the importance of prenatal education, especially for the postpartum experience, to enter the journey with as much preparedness (and least amount of anxiety) as possible.
