Dennis received his B.Sc. and M. D. Degrees from the University of Alberta, and his MSc. Degree and training in General Surgery, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery and Critical Care at McGill University, he spent 3 more years of training in transplantation immunology, heart and lung transplantation and high-risk cardiovascular surgery at Stanford University Medical Center. He implemented Western Canada’s first heart and lung transplantation program and served as the Director of both the Heart and Lung Transplantation Program and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit for 20+ years. He spent 30 years as a practising doctor and is the former CEO of the Alberta Prosperity Project. We discuss Alberta’s position in Canada, the pace of government and the Alberta first mindset.
