Hey. This is Jen, and I am recording a brand new episode of Shattered Soulstone. I got sick for a really long time and went from various doctors, but I'm okay now. So I'm gonna go ahead and start this show with what I've got. I'm gonna start with the Diablo Immortal stuff that, I pulled from mostly x.com or what used to be Twitter. And there's a thing here for Diablo Immortal called Celestial Spirits Phantom Market comes in January 2020 or on January 22. So that's tomorrow,
and there's a screenshot of this. And everything that I talk about in this episode is going to be posted on the Shattered Soulstone website because I really wanted to get back to doing that now that I'm healthier. That's what it is. This particular post is on, x, and, it's just called celestial serpents phantom market coming January 22nd. So I don't know exactly what that's going to involve, but it's there. If you like to play
Diablo Immortal. I sometimes play it. I got sick too much to play anything, but there we go. There's also a blizzard post for Diablo Immortal titled A Gilded Dawn Tong Xi's Renewal. And it is at the start of this, it's I'll just read a little couple paragraphs for you. We wish you abundance in sanctuary adventure. With fireworks lighting the sky and celebration and loved ones in our company, we turn our attention to the new year before us. May it unravel to reveal happiness, luck, and fond
memories for us to look back on. We wish you a happy Lunar New Year. As with previous content updates, there will be server maintenance starting on January 21 from 4 PM to 6 PM PST for Oceania, China, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Europe servers. And on January 22 from 12 AM to 2 AM PST for servers in the Americas. After the maintenance has concluded, all items mentioned below will be live. Specific dates for any
content going live afterward are provided below. So there's a whole bunch of different little things in here. There's a lot. There's a lot of art in this. Everything, like I said, everything's gonna go into the show notes and you can check them out that way. So this is called Tong Xi's renewal limited time event. And, I'll read you a little bit of this because it is rather long. Tong Xi, a god of the Xi'an Pantheon, invites you to his renewal, a call to bask in the fading glow of a finished
year. Begin the cycle anew and welcome a new year with open arms and optimism. From January 22, 3 o'clock AM, February 13, 2:59 AM server time, players can complete up to 5 tasks a day to earn festive rewards, such as red bags and tcm. I don't know if I pronounced that word right. The 5 tasks to complete for rewards include dungeons, elder rifts, killing elite monsters, bounties, and defeating Jinguun once he's been found. Completing these tasks earns you red bags and
TCM. There is no limit to the number of times you can complete these tasks for rewards, but there is a weekly limit for how many rewards you can earn. 30 red bags and 100 TCM each week that Tongshi's renewal is active. Red bags are celebratory Tong Xi's renewal rewards that can be gifted to a friend or to your clan. Not only will you receive rewards when you open red bags sent to you, but you'll also
receive rewards for sending red bags. Spread the blessings of Tong Xi's renewal by sending and receiving as many red bags as you can get your hands on. Don't forget to claim a free red bag every day you log in from the login rewards tab within the event, which will not contribute to your overall limit. You'll receive the following rewards for sending red bags in games. One red bag equals 1 star legendary gem. 20 red bags is
2 star legendary gems. 40 red bags, 3 star legendary gems, and 60 red bags, 3 rare crests. Completing daily event tasks can also yield TCMs. Each time you contribute a TCM, you'll receive a random reward and the rewards the rewards can be gold, scrap, dust, or random legendary item. There's also some more like lore in here. There's a picture here of a Jinguun eater of mountains. It's a sort of a dragon looking thing with a lot of fire coming off of it. It's an interesting piece
of artwork in my opinion. So, yeah, from January 22, which is tomorrow, to February 13 to 50 9 AM local server time, band together with fellow adventurers and hunt down the fabled terror Jinguun, eater of mountains. While the hunt is for hunt for Jinguun is Elphut, you can complete a daily task that transports you outside of the world of sanctuary to locate signs of Jinguun, which rewards you with gold, scrap, and dust. Defeating the mountain eater for the first time will earn you
one taluric pearl and a legendary item. Defeating each time after yeah. Defeating each time after that grants 2 red bags for Tong Xi's renewal. And then there's a little bit more in here. There's a lot of artwork. It's a lot of cool stuff in here. There's fireworks. There's a picture of, you know, fireworks going on from a vendor. Seems kind of fun. I haven't actually jumped into it yet,
but probably will. K. So over on the Battle dot net shop, also speaking about Diablo Immortal, there's a bunch of stuff you can purchase if you want to. Some of this is the, like the rift delver's hoard, which gives you, a bunch of gems and things like that. This one that I just mentioned for Diablo Immortal is a $199.99. And then there's another one, rift Delver's cash, which is only 99.99,
you know? Yeah. There's bundles in here. If you wanna get more of that, there's in game content where you can buy orbs, all that kind of stuff. So if you're into that, it's there. You can, you know, buy it or not. There's also a link to the gear store for like hoodies and button downs and things like that. So we've we've got some of
that if you're looking for it. Over on Battle dot net, we have a weekly maintenance schedule that has been updated 3 days ago, and here's how this is gonna work in the Americas. So, I'm skipping all of the World of Warcraft stuff because that's really not what I talk about. I haven't played it in a long time, but there's 2 Diablo Immortal ones in here. So one of them is Diablo Immortal EU slash SEA. And that's going to start, I guess it's already started today. So that's, starts at 4 PM.
It ends at, let's see, 6 PM. Game service will be unavailable during that time. And then Diablo Immortal North America has 12 AM, and then 2 AM is when it ends. The game services are unavailable will be will be unavailable at this time. Another, Diablo thing, I'm shifting over now into Diablo 4 on, x, Diablo posted, do the covens bidding and conjure 25 witchcraft powers in Diablo 4. The powers are doom orb, piranido, which is like a piranha swarm,
and poison frog servants. And when you and more when season of witchcraft arrives on January 21st, which is today. So if you're interested in that, you can go ahead and play it. In addition, Blizzard's press center does like to post, images of whatever their latest, Diablo 4 thing is, and you could download them. So if you, like, really like these images, like, there's an armory set of 2 different things. There's build crafting. There's a lot of those. There's headhunts and monsters.
There's witch powers, which has a picture of 3 different people that are presumably witches. And you know, if you really like this and you want to stick this onto your computer or your phone or something like that, there's some of these are really cool. Some of these, I don't know what they are yet, but that's okay. There's a bunch of logos, season of witchcraft, and then there's the witch power head hunt gameplay.
There's also, within this entire thing is the Diablo season of witchcraft inside the game where we have devs talking about how that goes. There's key art and wallpapers. If you know, there's a lot of stuff in here. Also from Blizzard, Diablo 4 says master the occult in season of witchcraft. And that was posted on January 14, but it's worth knowing. There's a lot of interesting art in here. The tree of whispers most
prized possessions are missing. The many heads which pay their endless debt among its gnarled limbs uncover the source of this malevolent plot to discover incredible power. Starting on January 21, which is today, at 10 am PST embark on a new seasonal quest line to unlock powers of witchcraft, slay the rogue head rotten, and uncover the secrets behind this haunting misery. So there's a whole bunch of stuff in here. It's got pictures of all of it. Some of that I kind of skimmed over
just a minute ago. Okay. Witchcraft powers will be your gateway to wonderful new abilities, augmenting and empowering your existing skills. You'll earn them as you uncover the mystery of the coven, a group of heady witches deep from within the bogs of Hawazar who are eager to serve the tree of whispers. As you ally with the tree of whispers, you'll progress and enhance these wild powers throughout season of witchcraft.
This update also brings changes to all realms with the armory, which lets you swap between your favorite builds with ease. Vessel of hatred owners can search out and wield both new and updated runes, plus there's new uniques and legendary aspects to earn and master, an all new pet pet in the season journey and more. Thank you to everyone who participated in December's 2.1 public test realm.
We want you all to know that we've integrated feedback throughout this blog, but some feedback that was given will be used to help shape and inform future seasons. And again, there's a little video here, season of witchcraft inside the game, a whole list of things. I'm going to go over the part with ally with the coven. There are 3 figures here. One of them is a woman wearing a bunch of beads and has some tattoos and things like that
on her. And then there's a second woman who is wearing a purple dress with a lot of coins attached to it and a belt and shiny another shiny belt with a red cloak over it. And then there's this like very grizzled old man with an interesting hat and he seems to be wearing a lot of leather. So here's, that's the, that's who they are. He'd the call of the witches of Hazawar, a coven that is bound by the deep magic oozing from the swamps
they call home. The coven are the protectors of the tree of whispers who discovered its many captive heads are missing. The tree forgets no oaths and forgives no debts, and these heads have dues to pay until the end of days. However, these missing heads have been set loose, free to carry out their own hunt, traveling across sanctuary to seek bodies and
reclaim what once was theirs. Summoned by the witches of Hawazar, unravel the mystery of the missing heads and expose the culprit in an all new quest line. Within the quest line, you'll uncover the tantalizing secrets to learn and harness seasonal witchcraft powers. Then there's master powers of witchcraft, if you get that far. A strange sorcery has risen from the crags and bogs of sanctuary. A sparkle is in the air, and the ground thrums with the presence of dark magic.
Embark on the seasonal quest line, unlock the wondrous powers of witchcraft, and unleash these newfound horrors to melt the bones of the unwilling. There are 3 schools of to learn and master. Eldritch is willed magic that harnesses destructive energies. Psyche is wield defensive powers of the mind and spirit to create visions, focus your attacks, and induce madness in your enemies. Growth and decay wield living magic that both heals and harms, boosting life resource.
These, incantations can create horrific diseases and disruptions. Discover rare lost powers of witchcraft unknown to both the coven and the tree. Each school of witchcraft gives you the chance to experiment between new styles of power. Tinker with your build to create something strange and terrible to
dismember your many formidable foes. To learn witchcraft, earn seasonal reputation with the coven from completing new whisper bounties and defeating hulking head rotten enemies to re to earn restless rot. At specific tiers, you'll unlock the ability to learn more witchcraft powers at witches' altars near the tree of whispers. To earn your witchcraft powers, do as the witches ask by hunting down the head rotten and returning the heads where they belong to earn restless rot. This
will grant you favor among the coven. Once you've earned favor with the coven, upgrade the altars underneath the tree of whispers at to unlock the new witchcraft powers. To unlock lost powers, you'll need a forgotten altar. Forgotten altars are elusive, so keep an eye out for them with it within random dungeons throughout sanctuary. Witchcraft powers can be upgraded directly in your inventory using the restless rot you've earned. Slaying Headrotten in higher difficulty tiers will earn you
more restless rot. There's also eldritch powers and a whole bunch of other stuff in here. There's a okay. I'm gonna skip over some of this and go into the growth and decay powers. Poison frog servant. That sounds interesting to me. Summon a poison frog servant that attacks and poisons enemies for 150% damage over 3 seconds. On death, the frog explodes violently dealing x poison instantly damage to nearby enemies. This explosion will always critically strike.
At rank 5, poison frog attacks will pull enemies toward itself and taunt enemies for one second. Soul harvest. Feed upon the life force of nearby enemies whenever you use a skill with a down, increasing your primary stat by 3% per monster for x seconds. At rank 9, soul harvest does not lose duration so long as enemies are nearby. Hex of whispers. Dealing damage to an enemy afflicts them with hex of whispers that deals x shadow damage the next time
the damage is dealt. Afterwards, hex of whispers will jump to another enemy up to a maximum of 6 times. Hex of whispers may only be applied once every 5 seconds. At rank 7, after bouncing onto 6 enemies, the hex bounces back to you granting you 15% fortify and removing all crowd control and negative status effects. Decay augmentation, your witchcraft effects deal x of the damage dealt over 5 seconds. The damage is based on your class. Abandoned damage type,
excuse me, is based on your class. At rank 10, when you damage over time effects exceed 85% of the target's total life, they immediately die. Grow. After casting an ultimate skill, your servants, minions, and companions are empowered with dark magics. Growing larger in size and dealing x bonus damage. Lasts 15 seconds. At rank 11, your servants, minions, and companions gain 100% critical strike chance while enlarged. Aura of siphoning. Conjure an aura of decay that deals 80%
poison damage to enemies every second. At rank 10, each time aura of siphoning deals damage, you are healed for 1% of maximum life. The cycle. Dealing any damage with your skills has a 15% chance to grow a flower from the ground. When an enemy is near, the flower deals x poison damage to that enemy over 5 seconds. If an ally is near, the flower heals for 6% maximum life. Well, that's nice. You know? The flower withers away after use of flower may grow once every 2.5 seconds per enemy.
Sorry, 2 seconds per enemy. At rank 5, the damage and healing affects all enemies or allies near the flower. Lost powers. There's a whole lot of these in here. I just find them interesting. Breath of the coven, dealing damage or applying a crowd control effect with any of your witchcraft effects increases your attack speed for x by x, sorry, for 10 seconds, stacking once per unique witchcraft effect. Witchcraft affects our eldritch psyche and growth and decay, which we kind of went over.
At rank 8, gain a 40% lucky hit chance while bonuses from eldritch psyche growth and decay are active at once. Hex specialization. Increase the potency of your hex effects by x. At rank 10, increase the critical strike chance by 10% against enemies afflicted by your hex effects. Aura specialization, the size of your aura affects the increased effects are increased by x. At rank 10, increase the critical strike damage by 50% against
enemies inside your aura effects. Piranado or Piranado, whichever way you want to parse that out. When an enemy is afflicted by both a hex and an aura effect, a Piranado is summoned, pulling enemies toward it and dealing x physical damage over 12 seconds. They occur 1 every once every 20 seconds. At rank 5, paranado moves itself towards nearby enemies, which is interesting. And then we have, the tree of whisper grows.
Since the heads once dotting the macabre canopy have disappeared, the tree of whispers has invigorated their bounties with the renewed fervor, set out to track down these rogue heads and bring this chaos to heal. And then there's choose your reward. And this is just an example of them. Collections of 1 handed weapons, collections of chaos, which I tend to enjoy, ancestral collection of 2 handed weapons. There are many new whisper bounties to seek out and
complete to appease the enraged tree. During season of witchcraft, there's a chance the tree will offer an ancestral collection as your reward guaranteeing at least 1 ancestral item within. And then there's hunt the head rotten, which is kind of bizarre looking in these pieces of artwork that this is in this particular particular post. The heads missing from the tree of whispers have become even more ghastly, true abominations.
They are desperate to claim new bodies for themselves, to be whole again and human again. But without the tree, they are incomplete, fragmented, and mad. They spread a terrible rot to anyone they touch. Multiple headhunt zones will appear across sanctuary, which signal that vicious head rotten are skulking the zone, eager to carry out their disembodied head's command. These head hunt zones are perfect for completing
whisper bounties. During season of witchcraft, you'll be able to return your whispers at a new additional location, the raven of the tree, a friendly raven found within head hunts. Completing whisper bounties within a headhunt zone will reveal exposed roots and gives a rare chance to spawn an uprooted cocoon. Uprooted cocoons will spawn the elusive and deadly head rotten bosses. These head rotten bosses will appear often as headless husks, headless creatures that have lost their controlling a
fugitive head. In rare case in rare cases, this head rotten boss will appear with the fugitive head still attached. Killing one of these abominations will grant you a head to return to the coven and to their wicked delight and grand reward. Complete whisper bounties within headhunts to earn favor with the coven and progress through the coven's tiers to earn a reward such as resplendent spark. You'll also earn the materials needed to grant occult gems, which provide
disturbingly powerful enhancements to your witchcraft powers. There's a few other things in here about root holds and crafting powerful gems. A lot of stuff in here to check out. And then there's new legendary aspects and unique items that have to do with various classes. So we're talking about barbarian, druid, necromancer, rogue, sorcerer, and spirit born. So that's cool. There's an armory thing going on. There's a lot here. And again, this will all end up in the show notes
when I'm done talking about this. Over on Microsoft, you can now get a game pass included, with Diablo, the original game. You have to buy it. I don't know how much it is exactly. And let's see. It includes the Diablo Hellfire expansion. It's for PC, which means I can't play this. But considering that this is still January, it's possible if you don't have a computer that's a PC, you can go into Diablo 3 and see if the entire thing about this, like the hellfire expansion
is in there. I'm not sure if it is or if it isn't, but somebody can tell me if they figure it out. Over on x, Diablo posted wicked things are coming to sanctuary. Witchcraft powers, the armory, new enemies, enhanced whispers, huge quality of life improvements, experience a massive Diablo 4 update when season of witchcraft emerges on January 2021, which was today. This is also on Xbox well, Xbox Wire from January 7th. And this kind of has different little games
in it. So coming soon to a game pass, Diablo EA Sports, UFC 5, and more. Okay. Diablo for PC, January 14. Game Pass Ultimate PC Game Pass returned to the legendary town of Tristram in Diablo, the groundbreaking action RPG that defined the genre coming to Game Pass on January 14, which is probably past us, but I don't know how long it'll stay.
With its satisfying progression, deep character customization, and intense battles, Diablo delivers an unforgettable journey through a dark gothic fantasy world. And I played the hell out of that when it was new. When it was brand new, I spent so many hours just, you know, trying to get through the game and all that kind of stuff. And I think that's probably all I'm gonna need
to talk about for now. And I'm glad that I'm healthy enough to be back to provide you with all of the details that show up probably every week on, shattered soulstone.com. Thank you for listening.
