Live on Sky News.
This is Sharry.
Good Evening.
Welcome tonight, A bombshell hush money scandal engulfs the alban eazy government. We reveal how a parliamentary staffer was twice us to sign an NDA overclaims she was bullied when she disclosed her rape as a young woman in politics. Our exclusive story In a moment and breaking news tonight, Russia confirms it wants military access to Indonesia, saying this is a defensive move against ucas albanize he needs to
wake up to these very real threats. Plus doctors call out the Prime Minister's many scare campaign saying actually, you will still.
Need to pay for GP visits.
And John Howard hits the hustings well at eighty five, He's still the best politician in the business. I'll talk about this with Michael Kroger and rich O Shorty, but first tonight, an explosive story of how the Albanese government treated a sexual assault victim when she bravely came forward to disclose her rape. A Parliamentary House library researcher has accused the Albanese government of trying to silence her with hush money and confidentiality agreements. This when she came forward
with allegations of sexual assault and workplace bullying. Anna Huff is forty six. She's a mother of three. She received legal letters from the Australian Government solicitor offering her a low ball sum of money and asking her to sign NDAs and Finance Minister Katie Gallagher, who weaponized the treatment of women against the Morrison government, allegedly declined to meet with the public servant and long term Community and Public
Sector union member and delegate now. Anna's motivation for coming forward now is transparency, accountability, justice, genuine reform and fair compensation. She told me that given the ALP's response to an alleged parliament House rape cover up last election, the hypocrisy on display in their treatment of me, particularly in trying
to silence me, is quite something. Anna says she was raped by a political staffer some twenty years ago, and that when she disclosed her experience in recent years she was punished, not supported.
She was just twenty one when.
She says she was raped and sexually assaulted while working as a volunteer for the Australian Democrats political party.
Here she is as a volunteer at the time with a then.
Australian Democrats leader Natasha Stott de Spoyer, who by the way, knew nothing of these serious allegations. Anna stayed silent for two decades, but then the national reckoning sparked by Brittany Higgins. When the Me Too movement swept Parliament House, it gave her the strength to speak up.
She disclosed her.
Trauma in twenty twenty one to senior staff in the Department of Parliamentary Services, and she claims that as a result, she was sidelined, denied promotions, pressured to step down from her role, and even treated like a problem, and she was asked when she'd be back to normal now. Anna eventually resigned in April twenty twenty three, and five months later she launched legal action against the Commonwealth, but her treatment during this process and before was severely disappointing.
Prime Minister Anthony Alberizi.
Had claimed to care about victims of sexual assault.
Which is why people are angry and frustrated, which is why we need to do better, all of us.
All of us need to.
Do better, all political parties, all businesses, all workplaces, our entire society because sexual assault, and these issues are about the power of balance in society.
That's what it's about, and that's why women are demanding change and they're entitled to get it.
And when the Albanese government was elected, Attorney General Mark Dreyfus promised that sexual assault victims wouldn't have to sign non disclosure agreements. He said, and I quote, let me be clear, while I am the Attorney General, the only circumstances under which the existence of a sexual assault or sexual harassment claim will be kept confidential is if the
claimant seeks to keep the settlement confidential. By these very categoric assurances from the Attorney General, Anna received two settlement offices to settlement offers from the Australian Government solicitor. Both were tied to strict confidentiality clauses. She was sent a legal letter on the twenty fifth of June twenty twenty four from the Australian Government solicitor offering her a modest
sum of money in return for confidentiality obligations. And this would have meant that Anna would have been limited in how she could speak about her experience. She wouldn't have been able to tell her full story and she was then given another offer of a sum of money on the twenty sixth of July twenty twenty four, just last year, again with a confidentiality clause. Her lawyer said that this violates the Attorney General's own directives along with the standards
set out in the landmark set the Standard Report. It was a report that Anna herself helped inform. Then just last month, on the sixth of March, Anna's lawyers sent a letter to the Attorney General's Department where they said this the Australian Government Solicitor has failed to comply with the Attorney General's direction, in particular not to seek any level of confidentiality in sexual harassment and sexual assault matters unless requested.
By the claimant. Now.
I asked Mark Dreyfus's office why the Australian Government Solicitor had failed to comply with his direction on confidentiality provisions. I also asked whether he was disappointed that a sexual assault victim had been twice asked to sign a confidentiality agreement. He didn't respond, but a spokesman for the Attorney General's Department said it would not be appropriate to comment on
any ongoing legal matter. And there is no incident since June twenty twenty two whether the Attorney General or Delegate has approved settlement terms in a workplace sexual harassment or sexual assault matter that are inconsistent with the guidelines and the use of confidentiality clauses in the resolution of workplace sexual harassment complaints or the Attorney General statement in the
Canbra Times dated ninth of November twenty twenty four. Now, Brittany Higgins was paid more than two million dollars and her case was raised by Labor politicians in Parliament on a daily basis. But Anna Huff was offered a small fraction of that amount and she was asked twice to sign secrecy agreements by the Australian government. Solicitor Finance Minister Katie Gallagher was one of those who strongly backed Britney Higgins when she spoke up about her rape allegations.
The fact remains that those who owed Miss Higgins a direct duty of care had known of this for almost two years and did nothing to make changes or improved culture and safety in the workplace when this incident had occurred.
But Senator Gallagher, who's by the way, also the Minister for women has allegedly declined to meet with Anna Huff. There were requests made to Senator Gallagher via the Attorney General's Department and another request was also via an email from Green Senator Larissa Waters to the Parliamentary Leadership Task forss Now. Senator Gallagher's spokesman told me that we have not received such a request. The Department of Parliamentary Services haven't responded to my request for comment now.
In her work as a.
Parliamentary Library researcher, Anna contributed to Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins set the standard report and here she is pictured with Kate Jenkins and Anna is proud of her work on women's issues and tonight, Anna says she's speaking publicly because silence hasn't worked, and also because other victims she claims are being treated the same way. And by the way,
Anna has had political party memberships before. They're with the Democrats, the ALP and the Greens in her younger years, she's never been a member of the Liberal Party and she hasn't had any political affiliations since twenty twelve. But she's worried about how women are now still being treated in politics in parliament House, and Anna told me the parliamentary workplace reforms a little.
More than window dressing. She said.
When the Set the Standard Report was released in twenty twenty one, the Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins said victims should not have to go to the media in order to achieve accountability. She says her experience proves that apparently they still do. And Anna said she's also aware that other victims are being pressured to accept inadequate settlements and also sign confidentiality agreements. She said, I want transparency, I
want accountability. I want fair compensation, not just for me, but for everyone who's been abused in a parliamentary workplace.
When I was raped, the.
Message was that I didn't matter. When I was bullied and discriminated against after disclosing my trauma, the message was that I didn't matter. When I sought justice and was told my pain was worth a small fraction of someone else's, the message was that I didn't matter. My message to the government is this, I do matter. Other victims matter, Equality before the law matters, and she says, I refuse to be treated as a second class victim for one
day longer. These are brave words from a woman who deserves much better from the Albanese government, especially when you consider just how labor weaponized the treatment of women before the last election. Okay, let's go to some breaking news tonight. Russia's ambassador to Indonesia has confirmed that Russia is looking
to strengthen military ties with Indonesia. The Australian reports that Russia's envoy to Jakarta has sought to frame Moscow's request for military access to an Indonesian Air Force base as a defensive move in light of the Orchest Security Pact and what it calls alarming plans to deploy US intermediate range missiles in Australia that it says would put Indonesia
within rage. Now, Russian Ambassador to Indonesia, Sergei Tolchanov, has issued statement this evening that says military cooperation is an integral part of the intergovernmental relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Indonesia.
He says it is solely of.
Bilateral character and based on a relevant legal framework and the national legislation of each respective country. Now, there are major concerns in the West, in Australia and the United States about the bricks grouping, which includes Russia and Indonesia. But this confirmation from Russia comes after our Prime minister today refused to confirm whether or not Indonesia did receive a request to station Russian airplanes and an airbase.
Just one four hundred kilometers from our mainland. Here was Albanezi, this is.
Not being well, my question was do you know about the request? Well, it's not clear what, it's not clear what the jan you're assuming the change report is correct, and there is no basis for you assuming that. Secondly, second second, a request.
Was never made.
We know that for sure that a request was not made.
Is that what you're saying.
I'm saying, I'll act diplomatically with our friends in Indonesia, That's what I'm saying.
Well, after this statement from Russia's ambassador, you think Albanese is going to have to come up with a new line when he's pressed on this by the media tomorrow. So, as I've said, Russia has now confirmed it is looking to strengthen military ties with Indonesia. Now Here was former Home Affair Secretary Mike Bozullo speaking about the concerns around this alliance earlier today.
Any attack on Australia is likely to come from Indonesia unlikely or through Indonesia possible. And so that's why foreign basing in Indonesia is so is something that's of high interest our intelligence analysts to the government right to discuss.
Let's bring in our former Victorian Liberal Party leader Michael Kroger and labor legend Graham Richardson.
Welcome to you both. Michael.
Look as we just heard that Mike Bozulo says that foreign bases in Indonesia is something that's of concern to our intelligence analysts.
Yet we saw today the.
Albanese's refusal to answer just basic questions on this. I mean, he seems not interested in foreign policy.
He never has been, you know. But should we be concerned absolutely what Russian planes, Russian Russian fighter jets now coming to Indonesia. You've got an aggressive Chinese government in the South China Sea. This would be this would have dramatic consequences for the security of the Pacific. If the Russians had ventured that far to have to have fighter jets in Indonesia, it would change the whole security arrangements in Australia and to the north. And is extremely alarming.
But he doesn't know anything about foreign policy. He's never been terribly interested in foreign policy apart from apart from Palestine.
Exactly, or any policy for that matter.
Rich O, you know, we heard from Alberan Easy and Richard Mars today and others are saying that this was all simply not true. Well, what are they going to say tomorrow, given that Russia has come out and give it a statement on this.
Well, first word would probably be whoops, because it seems that they made a mistake. And so I think you've got to walk back when you make a mistake because the mob will always work you out. As I always say, so you just put your hand up and say sorry, got that wrong.
Well are the mob working elbow out yet, do you think, rich O?
I think they work him out. They like him, there's no question about that. Is a very likable fellow. I can understand that. But the fact that they like him doesn't mean that he has ultimate trust. He's got a lot of trust, a lot of faith in him has been invested, but he's still got to keep it on his toes.
It's funny.
I was literally saying on air last night that there's only two people I know out of everyone I know who thinks Albanize is doing a good job, and it's you Rich oh, and it's Joe Hildebrand and everyone else, even if their lifelong labor voters think he has not done a good job, and you know they're worse off.
Now outfit there you'd go.
Let's talk about this medi scare fear campaign from ALBANIZI.
It's been relentless. Now, the scrutiny on.
This was quite slow, in my opinion, but now doctors and the media are starting to call out the Prime Minister's central campaign promise.
They say it's false.
Now Alberize's policy it's eight point five billion dollars and it tells voters that they're not going to need a credit card to see a doctor, they'll just need their Many Care card. Now this has been slammed by doctors. Here is the Australian Medical Association's President, Danniel McMullan.
Today, in many parts of Australia we're seeing out of the average out of pocket cost is just above forty dollars and so the twenty dollars extra incentive doesn't meet the costs of providing that comprehensive care.
So there is there is still truth to the claim that yes, you need a Medicare card, but you also need a credit card and that'll continue.
It does depend. It's important that Australians get access to that high quality, comprehensive care, and for some people that will still mean paying an out of pocket cost.
And Michael, this issue was front page of the papers today. The Australian reported that frontline gps have been widely discussing how they do not expect their practice to become fully bulk billing and they won't be in a position to utilize the triple bulk billing incentive for most of their patients because doing so would represent a pay cut and then make their practice unviable. But Michael, this is just simply an obvious fact, isn't it.
Yeah, of course, But look, let me pay credit to Graham who one of his other famous statements was, whatever it takes Albanize is number one brand equity, Labour's number one brand equity. The number one reason people vote for the Labor Party is essentially because of Medicare right. Medicare is theoretically under attack in every single election from sixteen onwards.
Right.
They took a pause in nineteen because they're increasing taxes. But this is the one thing Labour does that every election. Medicare is under enormous stress, and even when it's not, they throw more money at it. You've got to get people talking about medicare in Labour's opinion.
Right.
They can't talk about cost of living, immigration, crime, foreign policy, you know, the Middle East anymore? You know, none of those subjects the two seventy five, so their whole campaign is based on every two or three days is a rip trip on Medicare. Now, what's happened today? Albert's been caught out as just a ballfaced liar. I mean, you know it's not that card, albou. You should put up the other hand with the credit card as well as everyone now knows. But it doesn't matter to Labor. They
just keep telling the same lie. And he says it in press conferences and Chalmers said it that Dutton is going to slash and burn medicare. If I haven't heard that once, I've heard it a dozen times. No enterprising journalists, no over than our friend today who asked Dutton about women. None of those journalists you know, have said one word to Alba about sorry, where is Peter Dutton slashing and burning? Not a single question? So this is a lie, Labor perpetuate.
They cat flat from insiders online, but amongst the great populace they think Medicaire is under attack again.
Yeah it is.
It is a complete scare campaign. And you remember how angry Malcolm Turmble was when Labor first rolled this out and sent the text messages a couple days before the election that Madie Care was going to be scrapped it and yet it worked, and so they're still doing it, Richo. This is set to be another broken promise, no question about it. People are going to still the most Australians will still have to keep paying for their visits to the GP. But you know, the Australians don't seem to
wake up. They don't seem to wake up to the fact that the broken promise at the last election was over the cheaper cost of living in power bills as well.
Well.
I mean, I think you look at an overall package and very rarely does a politician keep every single line of an overall package. They don't keep them all late they'll drops up. It's inevitable and that's what's happened here. But if you look at the numbers when that the polls produce, didn't seem to be doing Anthony much damage. So I guess you'll keep going.
Yeah, No, it's not. It's helping him, that's for sure.
Now we saw John Howard campaigning in Wa today and he's looking it's just a reminder of what a great leader he was and how it's been such a long time. I'm really since Australia has had a solid, competent prime minister.
Here he was.
I don't think we lost a lot of safe seats. We lost a safe seat to a Teal in Kurtin, and I just simply say to people who've voted for the independent teal in Curtain, if you want at this election to get rid of mister Albin Easy he don't vote Toeal. Could you end up not getting a change of government?
I mean Michael So he was speaking there, of course about the seat of Curtain which was lost to a Teal. He's hoping to help Dutton win it back. But isn't it incredible to see John Howard is eighty five now and he's traveling the country to Wa because he's so committed that he wants to help the Liberal Party, he wants to help Australia.
Yeah, he is phenomenal. He's done a number of events for seats in Melbourne. He has a lot more requests than vents that he can do because he's getting a little bit older unlike the rest of us. But he came to a couple of events in Melbourne and I happily chaffed him to one and he was utterly magnificent.
At lunch we're at in the electorate of Bruce and one of the interesting things was someone was asking him about, you know, the level of debt in this country, what we would do about you know, things obviously can't keep going like this. And this person was asking John howd about whether Labor would introduce inheritance taxes, death duties, etc. Which has always been the you know, the dream of
the left of the Labor Party. And you know, the basic view was wanting to reveal private conversations that sooner or later Labor has to do something about the debt level in this country, as we do if we're elected.
Just the debt just.
Can't keep growing as it is. Labor is not so much about growing the economy. It's about increasing taxes, so that could possibly be on the gener He's ruled our changes to capital gain saxon negative gearing, so why not inheritance taxes? So you never know what Albany's He's going to do the.
Way Albert easy. And you might remember this, rich Sho.
Back when he was a young bloke, he argued for inheritance taxes. I wrote this story at the last election. It was the front page of The Australian and he was.
So angry about it.
But it's his own record, Richo.
Do you remember that he was.
This radical figure arguing literally for death duties.
I remember as secretary of the party he knew South Wales. They're just slapping him down every now and again because he was the radical, young lefty, but he's always been very good.
Might need to give you, You might need to give him another ring, rich O.
It may happen.
Don't worry.
It may happen.
Yeah, I mean I'll tell you what death duties would be a killer if that came out, But that's what he was planning to do.
Now.
Housing is taking center stage this campaign. We saw the debate today between Michael Sucker and Clara O'Neil at the Press Club. But then alban Easy was also asked if he would personally accept responsibility for the housing crisis.
Have a look, do you accept responsibility for the housing christ given you allowed in a million people net migration in two years and the minister who was responsible for that mess. So you've got your mate Tony Burker feeling for you've now put in the housing portfolio. Ironically, do you accept any responsibility for the housing crisis? Do you want that median house price to drop? You say your policy is about supply. Do you want that median house price to drop?
Look?
Historically in Australia, you've been around a while andrew prices tend to rise.
No answer of substance there.
But Richo, do you think housing is emerging as a central issue that people decide votes on this election or do you think this is mainly one of the issues that the leaders are talking about to try and pick up the younger vote.
Yeah, I think the latter is probably closer to the truth. I don't believe there's something that everyone knows Radia is talking about it. It's not on everyone's lips. But if for a young person of course, it's very much on your lips because you know, getting into your first house is such an important thing. So if I was, if I was elbow, I'd keep talking about that because I
think it's right up. He's alli. But when the crunch comes, you know, labor, when people on things like housing and education, et cetera, and los on defense and some other things. That's pretty well always been the case, and I don't think it's changing.
Yeah, all right, rich O, Michael Kroger, Great to see you again. I'll see you next week on Wednesday night as always. Now, The Australian Today reported that a labor linked climate charity has been getting thousands of dollars from clean energy firms that are blacklisted in America over slave labor concerns. Now, this is the Smart Energy Council that donates to labor. It's responsible also for the disputed claim that Dutton's nuclear policy will cost six hundred billion dollars.
These revelations today were highly damaging. Sarah Eisen reported that The Australian can reveal a number of the Smart Energy Council sponsors and twenty twenty five conference exhibitors, including major solar panel manufacturer Jinko Solar have been in broiled and allegations over forced labor in the oppression of minority groups, including the wigas in China's Shinshang region. Right, let's bring in now the Institute of Public Affairs Research fellow Saxon,
Davidson Saxon, These are very concerning. Can you tell us about these revelations?
Oh, this is highly concerning and questions need to be asked and answers need to be given about the relationships between the Smart Energy Council its sponsors and the potential slave labor that exists in this industry. But the doubt that exists over the supply chain of solar panels in particular exists as a natural consequence of the adoption of
the policy of net zero at the national level. These supply chain issues wouldn't be existing if we had pursued with gas and coal industries that employ hundreds of thousands of Australians who work in good and well paying jobs. And instead we are increasingly ceding our energy sovereignty to China, who are by far the largest exporters of wind and solar products in the world.
But going to this specific issue, what can you tell us about the slave labor concerns around the solar panels, because you know so much for green energy being superior on a moral standing.
Well, there was a report from the Heritage Foundation a couple of years back that found that eighty percent of solar components are manufactured in China using slave labor. Now, as you know, Australia is a modern liberal democracy with Enlightenment values, and we must ensure that there are no solar product here in Australia which have gone through a
supply chain that involves slave labor. And if there are, then that's only another reason why we should be abandoning this net zero ft fallacy and should be continuing with our baseloads power sources.
I just want to ask you about another story that's been big news tonight in the UK in the Supreme Court, there's been a ruling just in the past few hours that the word woman in UK law refers to biological sex.
He was part of that ruling.
The unanimous decision of this court is that the terms woman and sex in the Equality Act twenty to ten refer to a biological woman and biological sex.
It's kind of crazy.
This question really needs to go to the Supreme Court, isn't it?
This is just a win for common sense And it isn't saying that this this had to go so far and we needed a judge to adjudicate what the definition of a woman is. But it really just reveals sort of that we've given too much airspace to these quite radical gender theorists and we need to be we need to not allow this debate, if you can call it that, to go any further, and yet it will.
Saxon Davidson, thank you very much for your time. Now still to come. The lanx Wayne Swine went to edit this photograph that you've seen tonight to make it seem.
Like he wasn't hanging out in the chairman's lounge. Plus, do we need another baby bonus?
Peter Costelli says so, well, look at why the birthrate is declining, and demographer Mark McCrindle would join.
Me shortly welcome back.
We'll remember this Australia's baby bonus when Treasurer Peter Costello spooked a three thousand dollars incentive to have a child.
And he looks much younger there, doesn't he?
I was in two thousand and five and Australians, we're being told.
This one for your husband and one for your wife and one for the country.
Well, our birth rate has unfortunately taken a major dive since and it's prompted Costello to re enter this debate. He's told The Australian that the fertility rates have dropped even faster than we expected. Back in two thousand and two, we thought it would be one point six by twenty forty. In fact, in twenty twenty three it dropped to one point five. He means one point five children per mother.
Now we are facing stronger headwinds in the future with fertility decline and an increase in the age dependency ratio. That means, all other things being equal, productivity growth.
Will be less. We discuss.
Let's bring in now a leading demographer, Mark McCrindle.
Mark, great to see you.
Look, this is a concerning plummet and the birth rate. Why is this the case in countries like Australia.
Well, we've got more people saying education, particularly young people, they're starting their careers later and when they do start their earnings years and couple up and think about starting a family, they're carrying a fair bit of debt, and we know that most couples do like to do their nesting before starting a family in terms of having some housing security, and with cost of housing and living, that's further delayed starting families or led to reduced family sizes.
Thus this lowest birth rate ever on our record.
I mean, this is replicated in other parts of the world, but you know, you kind of mentioned their cost of living. Is this a major factor that people can't afford to have children at the moment.
Yeah, it is. It's expensive, and it's not that more women are having no children, it's that fewer women are having the second or the third. That's what's really dropped this birth rate to the lowest ever. We've got twenty thousand fewer births today than we did twenty years ago, sorry a decade ago, Fewer than a decade ago, even though we've got a much larger population. So it really has hit a loough ebb. We know that countries can turn it around, because you look at Hungry. They had
a birth rate willblow hours. They were down to one point two. They brought in tax incentives for couples, particularly mums, reduced tax and they're now almost at one point six, So it can be done with the right policy, in the right incentives or do you think.
Our politicians should be looking at that having policies to incentivize parents to have more kids.
Yeah, definitely, And we know that Peter Costello's plan had worked. The footage it just showed back then the birth rate was falling, but by two thousand and eight it had turned around and it headed above two. It was down to one point seven headed to replacement rates. If a couple producers two children, they replaced themselves. Now, we hadn't got to replacement rates since the nineteen seventies, so that baby bonus did turn it around. Since then, it's been
sliding to this record low. So we've got to do something, and we do have a record to show that. You know, bonuses and facts like that do turn around. We've put billions into childcare subsceis that hasn't made a difference at all. It might help when parents have one, but if they want to go for two or three, it really is
hard to manage it. The extra costs of childcare. You know, they want to look after the children themselves, they want to have their parents, that grandparents involved, and so rather than sort of doubling all the on just childcare. If there was broader policies, maybe like the money went to the family to spend how they would want it, it might do better than what's happening at the moment.
We were speaking on the show last night about how you know so many teenagers, Well how about how Facebook is exploiting children at the moment, picking up their anxieties and depression. We're seeing a whole generation that's just glued to their phones. How does this affect the fact dynamic as well? When you have teenagers who and sure teenagers might never have been terribly communicative, but you know who are attached to their phones the whole time, even at the dinner table.
Well, yeah, definitely. I mean, we need the social skills to develop the relationships and we need that vote in the future. You know, having a child is an investment to say I believe in the future, I believe in where we're going, and I want to bring the next generation into the world. But we really have so much doom and gloom and what's the future of the planet going to be? Like that that has had an impact as well. If people are still talking about overpopulation, they've
missed the memo. We've got a slowing birth rate and birth numbers globally. The current generation globally will be slightly smaller than the one we've just had, and the population is going to slow globally as we hit the middle of this century and then begin a decline by the end of the century. So the problem is not overpopulation, but two low birth rates right around the world, Australia included.
We've got this aging population, which we find ourselves. We've leaned on the migration lever, probably too much because we're redlining on that side and not encouraging that the births. In fact, the migration I was a pricing young couples out of the family family home market, and so we have this suspicious cycle of declining berths.
Yeah, and the housing crisis as well.
Mike McCrindle, so interesting, Really appreciate your time, Thanks so much. Thanks very Now after the break, Joe Biden he's back and so are the Gaffes. We'll see his train wreck appearance, plus the latest on the shocking fire bombing.
Of Joshapiro's home.
I'll talk about this with Michael Dowmby and James Ashby next.
All right, welcome back. Let's bring in now one Nation Chief.
Of Staff James Ashby and Farmer Labor EMP Michael Danby.
Great to see you both. Have a look. Joe Biden has.
Spoken publicly for the first time since Donald Trump became president and got off to a rocky start. The farmer leader of the free world started bumbling over some blaring music.
Here he was, thank you.
Green Gill, we deserve help.
And it didn't get any better.
And I had never seen I had never seen hardly any black people, and Scranton at the time when and I was only going on fourth grade, and I remember seeing the kids going by at the time called colored kids, and a bus going by.
Michael.
Maybe they need to roll him out every now and then, just so Donald Trump doesn't look so bad or chaotic.
I described doctor Jill Brighton because surely she's a doctor like doctor Monique Ryan, as the Lady macbeth of American politics. She and his four Chief of staff Ron Klein, and the White House doctor did something terrible to the United States, to America, to the Democratic Party, to all of freedom loving people around the world. But keeping that man in office, and this reappearance reminds us of how bad it was.
It's interesting, James, because Alban Easy keeps trying to compare Peter Dutton to Donald Trump, you know, as if it's a big insult and turning Australians off. But at one nation, you guys, you don't have that problem.
No, we certainly don't. At the moment, our poles seem to be doing pretty well. But ultimately, the ultimate test is on May three, so we'll wait to see what the results of that are before we get to Cocky. Look, isn't it a strange here they lock him up prior to an election, but immediately after he's free to go and give all these speeches. He hasn't changed, though he's still bumbling his way through. It just proves it was
a good decision not to run him. And thank goodness that Donald Trump is the president of the United States, not this old geriatric.
Well.
On Sunday we saw Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.
His home was gutted by fire, just shocking.
Fortunately no one was injured in this fire bombing, but his wife and their four children plus another family had to evacuate. Now, of course, look, Josh, he's a Democrat, but he is proud of his Jewish faith. Michael, what do we know about the motivations behind this attack?
Well, first of all, he's the hope of the future of moderate centurist Democrats, and so an attack on him is a big danger to the future of American politics. He's a great guy, but there's a palpable fear amongst anyone who is pro Israel or Jewish in any part of the world.
Leadership.
You know that Shari Alex Ripchen, who's the leader of the Jewish community in Sydney, had his home targeted. That's why these woke and weak political leaders and police forces are a danger to all of our societies. When they let that thing rip on October the eighth on the steps of Sydney Parliament House. You understand, I understand that things like what happened to Dan Shapiro are going to happen all over the world. These Islamists and Jihadis feel empowered by the weakness of Western states.
Yeah, you have cose met Josh Shapiro.
That absolutely awful to see anti Semitism reaching that sort of level. On a lighter note, this has made the news this afternoon because it's just so hilarious. The epitome of a social media fail. These two social media posts. So first, Tanya Plibus put up a photograph the one on the left, showing her with Julie Gillard and Wayne
Swan in the Chairman's Club lounge. But at the same time, Wayne Swan put up the photo on the right where he blacked out or white it out the background of the image so that you know, no one would know they were in the Chairman's Lounge. Presumably he wanted to help his mate Alban easy because this brings back the stories about how Albo scored a Chairman's Lounge membership for his son Nathan James.
Look, let's not get too carried away with the fact that all politicians have access to this same lounge. They're just not silly enough to rub it in the faces of the everyday ordinary person who's got to sit out there and pay thirty bucks for a meal which is getting dearer and dearer at airport. So no, they're just dumb.
Let's just put it that way for posting this and criticize rightly for the fact that people are struggling out there and here they are fair glass of Muwey, which is served up in the chairman's lounge, and you've got a personal chef in there. I'm surprised they didn't pull in the chef as well to get in that selfie. It's silly, I mean, because, let's face it, that's what happens.
But James, you say most politicians have access to the chairman's lounge, and they do, but most of them don't ask the head of quantas to get their son membership as well.
I mean, that's what Alban Eazy did, that his next level.
But James's right, cherry, even that grim Marxist head of the Greens. So Adam Bant is a member of the chairman's lounge. And I know a former chairman of the Greens party who used to sneak out of the Chairman's lounge forty minutes before the plane left, so the punters would all think that he was a galitarian.
Oh god, well, speaking of the Greens, Michael, your old seed of McNamara. Look, Josh Burns is the Labor MP.
He's trying to win it again.
This is a difficult It's got a lot of Greens members, it's got a lot of Jewish members in it.
What do you think is going to happen here?
Well, the twelve percent margin is rubbish. I'm disappointed that Josh is running an open ticket where he just puts himself number one. I can reveal on the program tonight Charry that Tony Lupton and I will have the prepolling manned everywhere by volunteers who are going to give out a Labor ticket but tell people to give the Liberals a higher preference than the Green political Party because that's
what people want to do in Macnamara. So it's possible if Josh Burns runs third, he will be eliminated and his preferences normally would go overwhelmingly to the Greens, and the Greens would be elected rather than Benson solo. The Liberal Party. But we're determined to thwart the plans of the extremist Greens and will be issuing a vote yes Labor ticket but giving the preferences not.
To the Greens.
I have to say I'm surprised.
I mean you you get kicked out of the Labor Party for that, Michael, because I'm interested in that you still a member of the Labor Party, because I see you chucked that.
James that's all I can say.
Let them try.
They make such bad publicity for themselves.
I agree they have.
Someone on there who would be able to argue exactly what they're doing.
In Michael, I to believe.
I've got it hard to believe you, Michael, are genuinely going to vote for Albo and Penny Wong and Tony Burke.
I find that hard to believe.
I'm going to call you on my way home and see if that's true.
I do very wise, but we've got to issue a ticket to labor. Thirty percent of our electorate are still going to vote Labor, and we don't want them to give their preferences to the Greens. That's the political effort being undertaken.
Okay, got to go, James Ashually, Michael Danby, thanks so much for your time. Still to come more explosive evidence of people pulling down the liberal candidates signs.
I've got more on this.
We've got video just for this show taken from a shop owner.
I'll show you after this break. Welcome back.
Well.
On the show last night, I told you how a Double Bay florist was told by a Legraspender's office that she'd pulled out of the debate with Roeknox and sky News because of our editorial standards. This is odd because our debates with Albanezi, Dutton, Charmers and Taylor have only been fair. But now the full story behind this has been revealed on our sky News website, and it goes back to a Legraspender's anger over a story where roeknox
claimed a Bibas family poster had been covered up by Spenders. Now, the story had both Spender and roe Knox's side, but there's balance apparently wasn't good enough because a Legraspender threatened Roeknox with legal action and her media advice. A farmer media watching Q and a ABC producer Peter McAvoy.
Wouldn't let it go.
He demanded that we delete this story. He wrote to Sky News digital journalists saying, I asked you to consult with your editorial managers and pass on my request to remove this false and misleading story from sky News. He even was demanding an apology for reporting Roe Knox's claimed that Alegraspender supporters had covered up a Bibbas family poster. Utterly bizarre now we know the teals pay for positive content from influencers, but it seems they now want to
control the media as well. But a leegraspender can't argue with the fact that dozens, if not hundreds, of Roe Knox's liberal posters have been stolen or defaced. Now, one Paddington store owner caught this poster being removed overnight on his CCTV. You can see that man with the dogs pulling down Roe Knox's poster. Now he's been recording every single night, and every single night his footage captures the same thing, her poster being pulled down. Well to discuss,
let's bring in Sky News contributor Rocco. Luciano Rocco, good to see you. Now, what's going on here, Jimmy Jerry with the Teals who are supposed to have amazing integrity.
Yes, Sherry, the same thing that's happening to Roe Knox is happening to Tom White, the Liberal candidate for Curtin, and it's all one way traffic. His core flutes are getting stolen and defaced. And it's amazing how the Teals love to call out misinformation and disinformation in public discourse, but when it comes to their claims of integrity and transparency.
One can only classify that as misinformation itself. They also, I think over here have seriously shoes when it comes to saying that their community independence when huge six figure sums come from big donors. In Sydney and Melbourne, we are all aligned with climb at two hundred and have also donated huge sums, six figure sums to the Greens. When it comes to lessons on integrity and transparency from the Teals, it's like getting a lesson on corporate propriety from Christopher's case.
That's hilarious.
Well, we saw John Howard in Curtain today trying to help the Liberals win back the seat from the Tials. How tough is this task going to be? You know, what are the expectations in Curtin.
Look, there has been a redistribution which is taken in a little bit more of some of the mortgage belt suburbs. But that doesn't that doesn't mean that's not going to be a huge mountain for Tom White to climb. I mentioned that some of the huge sums that are being donated to Kate Cheney's campaign. The issue also for Tom White is the fact that a lot of the advertising money that Kate Chaney has beens is coming from the climate two hundred coffers. And the other thing too, that
Kate Chaney is getting spooked about. She's trying to rewrite history on her past statements about gas. She called for the Northwest self to be killed off by Tanya Pliberset, but now she's saying, oh, look, you know, maybe we do need gas in the mix. It's going to be a very very tight contest. The other thing that Kate Cheney is, on her own admission, votes fifty five percent of the time with the Greens. Yet the Greens at the last election attracted ten percent of the primary votes.
So how can she be a community independent when she votes five and a half times more than one particular party gets a primary vote in that seat? Very very tough.
I mean, we know the Teals campaigned on accountability and doing politics differently, but I think there's one thing that we can safely say about most of the Teal candidates, certainly Kate Chaney, Minie Grin a leg.
Responder, is that they don't like scrutiny.
I mean, imagine, as Sky News just reported on its website today asking to delete a story they didn't agree with well.
Sue Chapman, the Till candidate, although she calls herself a community in depending for forest, is doing the same thing. She deletes posts on her Facebook page that ask her questions about her position on offshore wind and her campaign manager. Just this week photo emerged off her wearing an extinction rebellion badge, and it's all just dismissed, saying, oh, no, no,
we support peaceful protests. But yes, as you say that, when it comes to the blow torch being applied to them, they don't like it.
Quite interested, No, absolutely, all right, Rocco, great to have you on the show. Finally, good to see you. Thanks for your time. Now that's all we've got time for today. I won't be here tomorrow night, having one day off during the election campaign to be with the kids during the school holidays, but wishing everyone a safe, a happy Easter weekend. I'll be back on Monday at eight o'clock. But stay tuned because right now for Mary's in the man Cave,
